I Need Nukes

Immortal Dragons
14-12-2005, 15:08
The region of the Rajou is under civil war with the Republic of Immortal Dragons vs the entire rest of the Rajou.

Nuclear arms from Jordantinople have been used against the Republic.

We ask for 50 tactical nuclear missiles to counterattack this offense. And we are willing to pay.

No Draconian wanted nuclear war but now that it is here, we call for aid.

PS. If anyone wants to join our civil war on the side of the Republic, let me know.

You would have to give me suitable information for me to join this war privately. Meaning, whats going on and whats happening, and why, most of all, I should let you use some of my 1,000 Giga Ton Hydrogen bombs?

Do not sell Nuclear weapons to the Dracionaian Dogs.

They have mustard gasses my Civilians. and are a large threat to peace in our nation.

OOC: A 1,000 gigaton bomb is a clear godmod... it would probably detonate from its sheer weight... not to mention be horribly inefficient.

OOC: Well, looks like a very lopsided fight, and I am in serious need of some RP practice. So Immortal Dragons if you guys are willing to let it even out a bit, I could join on your side. But only if I can pull it off without a ton of other nations my size or larger jumping in and creating the dogpile that seems to ruin the fun, smaller RP's. I certianly wouldn't deploy a large force, as I prefer small unit tactics anyway. So, if you're interested, and the rest of the war agrees, I'll jump in.

The Coalition seeks to aid you in this most desperate fight, and possess a weapon capable of turning the tides quite quickly... the price per missile rests at 150 Million USD, with a maximum purchase limit of 75.

The C-12 Ballistic Missile

With Soviet Invasion at the doorstep of the Coalition, with Communism crawling into the pure world of North America, with the threat of destruction at the hands of nuclear war mongers becoming oh' so real, the Californian Logistic Weapons Division had kicked itself into action once again. Ballistic Missiles were all but useless in the modern world. With Anti-Missile Systems becoming so advanced any large missile would be immidietly detected and destroyed, a new missile was needed. A missile that could not be shot down and detected so easily... or rather, an entire class of missiles with this capability. The C-12 was to be the FRICBM of the C-Class, several other missiles covering the other classes (to be listed shortly) were currently under developtment.

Short-range ballistic missile (SRBM): range less than 1000 km (an example is the Scud)
Medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM): range between 1000 and 2500 km
Intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM): range between 2500 and 3500 km
Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM): range greater than 3500 km, broken down into:
Limited range intercontinental ballistic missile (LRICBM): range between 3500 and 8000 km
Full range intercontinental ballistic missile (FRICBM): range between 8000 and 12,000 km

Background on Ballistic Missiles

A ballistic missile is a missile that follows a prescribed course that cannot be signifigantly altered after the missile has burned its fuel (its course is governed by the laws of ballistics). In order to cover large distances, ballistic missiles are usually launched very high into the air or in space, in a sub-orbital spaceflight; for intercontinental missiles the altitude halfway is ca. 1200 km. When in space and no more thrust is provided, the missiles are in freefall.

Many advanced ballistic missiles have several rocket stages and their course can be slightly adjusted from one stage to the next. They can be launched from fixed sites or mobile launchers, including vehicles (Tractor-Erector Launchers, TELs), aircraft, ships and submarines.

Stealth Features

RCS
The Radar Cross Section of a plane is basically, how much echo the plane sends from radar. Everything has a Radar Cross Section (or RCS), but where birds have approximately a .01 square meter RCS, the Raptor has almost the same RCS. The B2 Bomber has a radar cross section of .75 square meters. For the Raptor to be stealthy, the creators had to cut down on the RCS, meaning that everything on the plane, internal and external, had to have no echo, or as little as possible. To accomplish this, they made many parts of the plane with special alloys (metal mixtures) that had little or no echo when hit by radar. The shape of the C-12 is made to have an over-all "triangular" shape, making the over-all shape reflect radio waves in such a manner, that they do not go back to the radar of the enemy.

RAM
RAM, or Radar Absorbing Material, is covering the entire fuselage of the the C-12. This material is made to absorb and kill radio waves instead of reflect them.

Scattering
The entire missile is one, large system of triangles. It has all flat surfaces, angled to deflect radar waves away from enemy base. The Halcon also does this, but in a different manner. It is fairly rounded, yet on closer observation, the over-all shape has angles to it that scrambles the radar all over, everywhere but back to the radar's origin.

Heat Reduction
To be stealthy, a plane must not give off too much heat. The heat not only makes it stand out on thermal imaging, but makes it a prime target for counter missiles. The engines of the C-12 are made to make as little exhaust and heat as possible.

Turbulence Reduction
The turbulence of a plane is caused by the movement of the craft disrupting the air around it. The shape of any stealth craft is made so that is EXTREMELY aerodynamic, having the least amount of air resistance. This minimizes the turbulence, and the fuel costs, since the plane is not creating so much drag. The less turbulence, the less likely it is that the enemy's sensitive laser detection equipment will pick up on the plane.

Standard Specs

Length: 19.3 m
Diameter: 1.7 m
Mass: 193,500 lb
Range: 12,700 km
Guidance: Inertial (AIRS), 100 m CEP
Speed: Subsonic speed is maintained so as to preserve the effectivness of the stealth capabilities. The limited speed also provides the capability for longer ranges.
Payload: 5,350 kg
Warhead: Warhead may vary
Price: 10.1 Million

Deployment Methods

Currently the C-12 is capable of being fired from both land and naval based locations. Missile Silo's and portable firing sites being the main land based deployment methods, however, Mobile Missile Platforms are becoming more popular among the peoples working on the project. Naval based deployment methods currenlty include both Destroyers and Ballistic Capable Submarines. Due to the odd shape of the missile, it is currently not able to be fired from standard Ballistic Submarines such as the Ohio Class SSBN. Designs are being constructed to accomidate this problem.

OOC:

I usually kid around in threads like this, but with respect to that opinion I researched and found...nothing. Hmmm, it would, wouldn't it? I need to ask some professionals before I continue, but for now will leave that 1,000 Gigaton thing for my FT part of my nation. Concerning giving nukes however...

*cough* If I did use them it would be for destroying.....everything, literally. Thats what I do.

IC:

Concerning the matter of nuclear weaponry, and retreating our previous statements as fooling around, we would be concerned with giving you such weapons on the premesis that you may misuse them. HOWEVER, we would be willing to extend a good amount to you, should you reply to this offer. Just give us your secret bases or cities names and we shall ship them promptly to you for your use.

Of course, we would immedietly leave upon giving you them, as it would be disrespectful for us to stay and watch your horrible plot unfold.

Anyway, thats our offer.

"How much are you willing to pay?" the man asked, putting his briefcase on the table. No one could give a good description of him, due to the darkness in the damp cellar room, lit up by a desk lamp only. That, combined with the dark clothes the man wore left little ability for anyone to identify him.

"I've got an assorted selection of weapons. B-61 (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/b61.htm) and B-83 (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/b83.htm) thermonuclear dropbombs, BGM-109 Tomahawk (http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-109.html) cruise missiles fitted with W-80 (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/w80.htm) nuclear warheads or, and this is my favorite, the LGM-30G Minuteman III (http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-30.html) intercontinental ballistic missile."

The man pulled out a few dossiers, and waited for a reply from the Immortal Dragons representative.

The offer of Cotland and Banduria interest me.

From Banduria, I would like to purchase 30 TND/C-34 ICBMs, paying full price up front.

From Cotland, I would like to purchase 10 each of B-61 and B-83 dropbombs, say 50 million for each. And 20 BGM-109 Tomahawks with W-80s, say 10 million for each. I assume Tomahawks cost less than dropbombs.

Thank you very much.

Please deliver to space station Siru.

Immortal Dragons,

I don't know how nations as small as Jordantinople got their hands on nukes. We're five times their size, and we don't have them.
Anyway, while we can't sell you nukes we don't have, if you are willing to settle for something a bit less than nukes, we can sell you some of our biological/chemical weapons. Make us an offer, and we'll consider it.

New Ausha will aid, which nation is under a greater threat. We ask that each nation pleads it's case. (Ex: War attrosities, illegal activities, unconventional war tactics.) We will side with the nation that seems to have a more legitimate case. However, before we deploy troops to the designated nation, we must have an agreement, that New Ausha will recieve a percentage of the war repirations, taken from the defeated faction. We await a response from both factions.
