In the interest of promoting relations between itself and other nations, Darein Riey has decided to open its borders to receive embassies from other nations. Attached you will find a formalized brochure, written by His Royal Highness Evin Ardos and the Lady Natalya Vesro, as well as a map of the region.

Darein Riey- as a portion of the seven islands of the region of Evendar-, has been protected by a barrier of magic that seperated it from the rest of the world for thousands of years. As a result, the kingdoms of Takriey and Darien Riey have developed in ways vastly different from anything ever seen anywhere else. Most, if not all, of this wildlife has been classified as extremely dangerous, so it is highly reccomended that any visitors to the kingdom come heavily armed. Firearms, however, are not permitted, as they are not something that has been developed. For the purpose of creating ties with other nations, this barrier has finally been dropped.
Magic users are warned, as it is highly likely that the islands' unique configuration will render their powers either weakened or useless. Elemental magics should work as normal.
Darein Riey is comprised of four of the three islands in the region of Evendar. It is ruled by the King Evin Ardos, and the majority relgion is that of the First Church of the Lady Eternity, though no state religion is implied. Darein Riey is best know for it's Torliv trees, which can easily top out redwoods for height once they have reached their mature age, the leaves of which are used to make a genuine Cure-All, and several different alcoholic beverages. The people of Evendar themselves are composed and quiet, and, as a whole, possess the powers of mind-reading. They are, however, limited to a very narrow range, and have difficulty hearing thoughts outside of it.
The borders of the islands are, for the most part, comprised of cliffs and rocks, and, for this reason, it is not reccomended that travel by boat be taken. There is a single airstrip two miles outside the capital city of TetraGaro, which is where the emissaries will be recieved. There is also a helipad located at the airstrip.
The locations of the embassies will vary, but it is stressed that one should choose a location within the city proper, as safety outside it cannot be gaurantied. Buildings will be made from Crystal, which tends to hold a leftover hum from the magic used to create it for decades after. If one is sensitive to such things, more suitable building materials can be found at request. The embassies will consist of one main building and two wings. One for the ambassadors and their staff, and another for visiting tourists. The embassies will be staffed, though emisarries are also welcome to bring a person staff of no more than fifteen (15) people.
Emissaries are also welcome to bring no more than six (6) guards, but firearms will not be permitted. Additional security will be provided in the form of four (4) Mage Guards, supplied by the royal household.
While staying in Darein Riey, it is asked that the following rules are abided by, for one's own personal safty.
- Do not insult the majority religion in the company of the Darien. Also, it is suggested to steer clear of the Lady Eternity's temples. All other portions of the city, including the royal palace, are open to emisarries.
- Intimate physical contact of any sort is frowned upon by Darein Riey's citizens, and while we cannot ask you to avoid it, we do ask that it is kept to a minimum.
- While staying in Darein Riey, we ask that you follow all laws. Exceptions will not be made, and the city Guard will deal with those that disobey accordingly.
Additionally, Darein Riey is interesting in importing the following items:
- Beef and poultry
- Metals
- Grains
Darein Riey offers the following items for export:
- Elemental Crystal
- Precious and semi-precious stones
- Fish
- Magical Artifacts
- Alcohol (Avrige, Renwyr, Sonrin,...)
- Exotic and rare plants and herbs (Torliv leaves, Ausrin products [leaves, berries, and roots], Fenrihr products [nuts, leaves, and roots],...)
- Exotic pets
The people of Darein Riey look forward to building strong ties with our neighboring nations.
