Basic info:

CITY: Boomville
LEADER: Grom the Paunch
POPULATION: Around 50,000
RELIGION: Worship of many Gods, mainly Whacker

The Goblins. The most numerous group in the world of Mythology Earth, and perhaps the most diobolical! Deep in the Swamps of the EverBog, the Goblins have built a grand civilization. Highly warlike, xenophobic, and a little....eccentric no other race is quite like them.

Culture:
Culture? CULTURE?!? THEIR GOBLINS FOR GOD SAKE! Well basically life is centered around the Cheif. Lying, stealing, and backstabbing are virtues, except if your caught. Then you die. Every member of the Goblin race is trained to fight at an early age, regardless if they have any education. Nobels are simply veterans of wars who have half a brain.

The people are a mix of the sacrificial will of Imperial Japan, and the culture of 50 cent meets the Toltecs. Goblins believe it is their destiny to overpopulate the world, untill Whacker lets them into heaven. One life, even their own, is nothing. The nation is a coalition of tribes, led under one cheif: Grom the Paunch of the Snickering Moon tribe.

Main City:
Boomville
Boomville is a huge city built on an island in the middle of the EverBog swamp. In the center stands a 67ft tall statue of the cheif god of the Goblins: Whacker, the war god and god of fertility(Lets just say the statue is "well equipped"). The buildings are similar to those of the aztecs, complete with temple and all.

Economy:
Basically a gold system, based on weight. In the more "rural" areas, bartering is usally the standard.

About Grom the Paunch:

Grom is a hugely obese and extremely fierce Goblin Warlord. According to legend he once ate a plate of raw Troll meat which is regenerating within him all the time. As a result he is very fat and suffers from constant agony due to chronic indigestion, which may explain why he is so fierce. He rides a massive chariot pulled by three wolves, and swings his mighty axe Elf-Biter. He is accompanied by his assistant Niblit the Goblin who carries the army's battle standard. As a result of eating the troll flesh he has developed several troll-like traits and has an almost trollish resistance to injury.

The Axe of Grom : Elf-Biter
This large and forbidding axe requires both hands to use, but blows struck by it are almost always fatal. Attacks made with the Axe of Grom count as being made with a killing blow special ability. It glows when elves are near

Lucky Banner
Niblit carries this old and tattered banner to battle as a good luck sign. Actually, it really is good luck. As such the banner causes good favor to those withen a 3 mile radius of it. It has also been said it whispers things into the ear of Niblit, who passes it on only to Grom.

Military:
Ten Hordes:
Two hundred fifty per Horde:

Two regiments of spearmen, ten men wide and five men deep. Spears are roughly twice as long as the goblins are tall, and they have small shields to inhibit ranged attacks, while leather armor cushions lighter injuries.

One regiment of bowmen, twenty-five wide and two deep. Leather armor protects them without inhibiting their dexterity. They aim with the help of a lead goblin with a longspear that points where the bows should go, using experience with trial and error to figure where and when to fire.

Ten formations of wolf riders, each with five riders. The wolf riders are armed with scimitars for melee combat and shortbows for ranged fighting and raiding. The wolves have no barding, and the riders wear scale mail.

Two formations of skirmishers, each with twenty-five warriors. These guys are armed the same as the wolf riders, but have cloaks and dyed leather to protect themselves instead of scale mail, allowing them to hide rather than ride away in case they come under attack while attacking.

Aside from this basic combat equipment, the goblins are naturals when it comes to digging, and they tend to burrow under enemy walls when laying sieges to either provide easy access to the enemy base or collapse the wall without risking troops (that aren't digging.) When besieged, they tend to use traps and cavern ambushes more than walls.
