Tearing Down the Status Quo (FT OPEN, ATTN GFFA)

Yuuzhan'tar

"Is it ready, Mezhaan?"

"Yes, Prophet. You may speak now..."

"Leaders of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, this is the one known as Yu'shaa. I am the Prophet. I was once known as Shoon-mi Esh, Jedi Knight. I call on you now for aid. Aid in a rebellion against the oppressive regime of Supreme Overlord Choka." Yu'shaa spoke softly but assertively into the subspace communication device, set to broadcast on open frequency to the capitol worlds of all GFFA members. For those who would listen, a message of hope and brotherhood would follow.

"As I speak to you, millions of Shamed Ones fight for their freedom and livelihood all across the Yuuzhan Vong empire. With help from our like-minded friends within the elite castes, we rebel against oppression and tyranny in hopes of a better future. We are strong only in numbers. Our leaders are inexperienced and timid. Our soldiers green. Our weapons poor and in short supply. We have no hope of defeating the forces of oppression ourselves, but still we fight on. We fight and die so that our children may live as free men."

"I ask you humbly now to send aid to our forces. With your aid we can cast off the yoke of tyranny and live as a free people once again. We wish to live together with our technological allies as brothers, side by side in peace and respect. Our people do not hate technology as our government tells you. We would embrace it fully. We welcome your technology and your soldiers. Please, help us in our fight. You are the only hope of millions of people within the Empire." As Yu'shaa finished speaking, the transmitter went dead and the device was set on receive. Hopefully the heretics gathered in the cave around him would hear the voices of support from across the galaxy.

Talaaxian Empire

Word of the omen spread quickly across the Empire, reaching the cells of Shamed Ones and their elite sponsors within days. Soon the whole Empire was up in arms. Outlying systems fell to the rebels and were cordoned off by the Imperial Fleet, inner systems were surrounded and a guerrilla war was being raged within them. On Yuuzhan'tar itself, almost 100 million Shamed Ones were either in arms or open rebellion against the garrison but had no hope of defeating the Imperial Forces, not with the bulk of the Imperial fleet still in the system.

Elements of the fleet managed to defect to the rebel side, taking refuge just across the Abh border and occassionally raiding the cordon forces of the outlying systems. The effect, however, was less than spectacular. Most raids failed to even raise the alarm.

Everywhere in the Empire people were dying on either side. Some fighting to live in freedom, others fighting to stamp out that freedom. The word of Yu'shaa had struck a cord with the Yuuzhan Vong and now they were fighting to make it a reality.

Official Message From Supreme Overlord Choka to GFFA Governments

As some of you may be aware, there are certain insurgent groups in arms against my government. Fear not, however, as these groups are weak and do not have the support of the people. They will be crushed quickly and ruthlessly.

We do not require any aid from our allies and request that allied ships refrain from entering our space until such time as stability is restored. This is an internal conflict and will be dealt with internally. Our military is strong and will deal with this insignificant threat on it's own. If any of our allies wish to be given the entire story, we will send our official representative, High Prefect Nom Anor to a peaceful border world to discuss the matter with you. We thank you in advance for your restraint and vocal support.

OOC: Basically, you can choose to side with either the forces of Yu'shaa or the government. At this time, though, I would ask that if you support the government to please respect the wishes of the Supreme Overlord and not send fleets until asked.

The news had entered the capital from two different sources. Both the Jedi communication and the public announcement had been received and was going over vigorous scrutiny. The Empire was in a dilema since they contained force sensitive citizens but were also on friendly terms with the Talaax government.

All of the major Admirals had been gathered except for the Imperial Admiral, his Imperial Majesty Dusanyu who was away at diplomatic matters. Abriel Nei Dobrusk Dubeusec had taken his Majesty's place as the most likely to ascend that position. "Do we still hold the signal from the Jedi?"

Admiral Bebaus nodded. "Yes we still hold the link."

"Admiral Spoor, you are held in high regard with their people. What do you expect?"

"From my experience, the rebellion will be put down brutally without outside intervention. They may be numerically superior but that means nothing if they can't strike at the Imperial fleet or hold up against superior trained ground forces."

The Abriel nodded without emotion. "Admiral Trife, what is the status of the Abh marine force?"

"They are always ready for a fight. They have proved successful in the battle against Ankhmet without suffering casualties."

"Admiral Wakapale, how does Star Forces stand?"

The "young" stepped forward. "Your highness, the entirity of the Abh division is on standby. With battles taking place outside far from our borders, Sords are no longer useful. But we can now mount a large force capable of putting down any attack. We also have the Forager on standby to create artificial Sords. It has finished all procedures in Ankhmet with a stable gate system in place."

Dubeusec crossed his arms. "I want Admiral Trife, Wakapale, and Admiral Bebaus to prepare their fleets. I want four thousand ships ready to move if need be but keep the contigent away from their borders. I want them stationed at the naval station of Vobayrunay. I want Whitestars running patrols along our borders. Get me all the available Rambirds over to to the naval station as well. They have passed their test phase and are ready for formal military service. The three of you are dimissed."

The three Admirals saluted. "Yes your highness." All three left the war room and made for their awaiting flagships.

The Abriel then focused his attention to Admiral Spoor. "We need to gather more information, the Abh way. Who is the most experienced AIA operative we have?"

"This is hardly an honourable way of doing this."

"Just answer the question Admiral."

Spoor thought it over for a moment. "Well it doesn't matter who because an Abh will stand out more than anything. I recommend sending a human there. I would nominate Lord Rahl but he is away with the Emperor which leaves one other human that is strong enough for this."

"I don't think Richard would have been a good option. There is no telling what the man would have done. Who is your next choice?"

"Sargaent Savage has distinguished himself both on the ground and in naval battles."

Dubeusec looked down at the holo display for a while. "Then we shall send two to gather information."

Spoor looked perplexed. "Who is the second one?"

"A member of the Betterman Council."

Spoor took a step back. "Surely not Lamia..."

The Abriel shook his head. "No no, they fought along side him and would easily recognize him. Another one. Lord Eiayu. I want you to get the communication back on line Admiral."

Spoor nodded her head. Shortly the frequency was brought back up to send out to the subspace communication device. "Yu'shaa, I am an Admiral of the Abh Empire and currently in charge of the governing of the Empire in the Emperor's absence. At the moment we are going to send a small force containing two men to have on the inside to gather information for us. If there is anyway, I request that they be picked up by your rebel forces. We will have them at a specific location for you to pick up if this is option is available."

The communication was closed and then Admiral Spoor brought forth her villip and activated it sending a pulse to the other side.

"...If there is anyway, I request that they be picked up by your rebel forces. We will have them at a specific location for you to pick up if this is option is available."

"We thank you for your aid, however small it may be. However, it is currently beyond our ability to pick up your forces. We have little or no control of space anywhere in the Empire. It should be possible for you to infiltrate your spies onto either Pirya II or III. These worlds are partially under our control and the Imperial fleet presence around them is minimal. I will inform our local commanders there to expect you. Once more, I must sincerely thank you for your help."

"...Nevermind the government's stance. We have ways of getting to Talaax."

"Thank you for your support. Your few troops will no doubt save the lives of ten times as many Shamed Ones. I would request that you direct your advisors and any weapons supplies you can smuggle to the Pirya system and the second and third planets there. Our forces are currently engaged in fighting for these worlds but our weapons supplies are meager at best. We do not shy away from using your "blasters" or other weapons, unlike our intolerant enemy."

Pirya II

The battle was going mediocre at best. The army of Shamed Ones (as all who supported the rebellion, regardless of caste, was now shamed) fought against an army roughly 3/4 it's size for control of the planet. With a landscape dominated by rainforest, the fighting was hard and mostly guerrilla in nature. Attack, be ambushed, withdraw, set up ambush. There were no "vehicles" on the planet and all fighting was infantry battle.

Despite having superiority in numbers, the Shamed Army found itself on the losing end most of the time. Their soldiers were simply poorly trained and poorly led. "Commander" D'san, the leader of the army was in reality nothing more than a former sub-altern. If help didn't arrive soon, the battle was surely lost.

Message to GFFA Governments, from Supreme Overlord Choka

Beloved Allies! The battle against the rebels is going superbly. For every man we lose they lose 100! Victory is assured. (OOC: In reality the battle is a bloody stalemate).

It has come to my attention that some of you are curious about the causes and course of our little conflict. In order to better foster proper understanding of this conflict in the minds of our allies, I am sending Nom Anor to the GFFA HQ to discuss the situation with you. The discussion will take the form of a question and answer period. He will arrive shortly. (OOC: Will post that on GFFA forum.)

We of the Terran Dominion are heavily committed, but, if you can clear us a lane, we will deploy our ACS to aid you. We cannot commit naval forces at this time, due to the current war agains the Galactic Empire, however, we can give you a great deal more firepower with the aid of the 11th Mobil Infantry Division. If you, or your allies can break a lane through to your world, we will crush any opposition beneath the armored boots of the Mobile Infantry.

Communication with Yuuzhan'tar was quickly cut so that nothing could be traced back to the capital. The call had gone out for the few that were being assigned this mission. Unfortunatly some of the best of the Empire's men were already busy at the moment but still, sufficient aid was being sent to gather information at the moment.

The two men had finally arrived in the capital where Dubeusec awaited. "Sargaent Savage, I've heard good reports about you from Lord Rahl during the Shadow War at the SeaQuestian border. You showed some quick thinking to knock out that planet killer like you did and thanks to you, it is now in our possession."

The tall well built man saluted. "Thank you your Highness. How may I be of assistance to the Empire?"

"You along with Lord Eiayu here will land on Pirya II and meet with Yuuzhan'tar and assist his rebellion. You will land with a marine dropship equipped with any materials that you request. If this falls into the government's hands then it becomes a priority mission to destroy it. If you are captured then you will be labeled a rogue agent by the Empire. Is that understood?"

"Yes your highness."

Dubuesec smiled. "Good. You leave in one hour. Dismissed."

The Sargaent saluted one last time and then left the room leaving Lord Eiayu there with the Abriel. Unlike Lamia, Eiayu still had good control over his vocal cords. "And what toys do I get?"

Dubuesec chuckled as he said, "I doubt you need anything to be a proficient killer. You are to make sure that retreating soldiers do not place his involvement though he is a human so he could hale from any nation. Just make sure any that retreat are killed."

"What if the rebels do not agree with it?"

An evil grin spread on the Abriel's face. "I doubt they could stop you. It would take the lives of many men to try. But to avoid conflict, I would suggest keeping it from their eyes if they do not approve."

The Betterman that appeared to be nothing more than old man with a long mustache and red bandanna turned a left the room as if he was still in the prime of his life.

An hour later there were four Omega-X Destroyers parked outside the capital waiting to take the two men to Pirya II. The destroyers shimmered and then disappeared with their Hyperspace tap. They didn't reappear for some time until they were parked right over the planet. Without wasting time, they launched a small marine dropship that was well armed down to the planet.

Back at the capital the Abriel activated the transmission again. "Yuuzhan'tar, your guests have arrived. You should find them useful. The Abh Empire will be waiting to offer further assistance."

Southridge, Tidan

Commander Faal arrived at the local bar as he had been directed to. He sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. After a while a male sat down next to him and slid him a datapad.

"Hello Faal. Thank you for coming."

Faal looked over. "Admiral Rho? What is this about."

"We need you to take a mission for us. One of our new allies is going through a civil war. The large population is trying to throw off the oppressive government. Naturally we can't take sides in the conflict, officially. Your instructions are there on the pad."

Faal read the orders. "When do we leave?"

"You don't, but in six hours you will arrive with your company, battle ready, at hanger 251 where there are 4 Infiltrators under going maintenance. This is not an official action so officially you and the company are leaving on deep sea training missions for an indefinite period. You will consider all Tidani forces and ships risks, do not be scanned or seen by anyone. You will arrive at the Deep Current, the only ship that has knowledge of this mission. They will take you just outside Talaaxian space, from their you will enter and land on Pirya II." Rho finished off his drink. "Help them any way you can. Don't expect any reinforcements or help from the time you leave Deep Current." He got up to leave. "Nav's speed." Then he left.

Faal read over the situation in detail. When he had finished his drink he pocketed the pad and left.

Six hours later one hundred special forces marines arrived at hanger 251. The hanger was empty except for the 4 craft. They boarded the ships and took off. Engaging their cloaking devices immediately, they flew into orbit to the waiting Armageddon Light Cruiser.

Five days later the Deep Current on an erratic course that would not make their destination obvious to anyone paying attention to them, finally was outside Talaaxian space. Here the four Infiltrators departed and jumped for Pirya II.

Immediately on arrival in the system they cloaked and headed straight for the planet. Hopefully anyone able to detect their cloak would not have enough time to do anything about it before splash down.

The 3 carriers came out of hyperspace in the Pirya system. Each of the carriers was designated MIA, for deniability purposes. Their they stayed, watching, waiting. On the lead carrier were massive boxes, containing supplies for ground warfare. Inside the hanger, were drop ships and aero space fighters, most would be handed over to the rebels after land fall.

In Response To Message From Jedi Council

" "Mini Miehm

We thank you for your support, however, there is currently no way we can open a lane for your men to land. Our fleet is meager and taking refuge in Abh space. Our friends in the GFFA have been slow to offer fleet support. If you cannot safely transport your men to Pirya II, we ask that you do not do so at all. We do not wish to see your soldiers die in vain.

Tannishar

We thank you for your support. If your forces could proceed to Pirya II, we are sure that they would make an immense difference in the liberation of that planet.

Starenell

Your aerospace fighters would be most welcome at Pirya II. Our forces there are in dire need of aid. The liberation of said world is our top priority at this point. Please deploy your forces there.

Tidan

The Shamed Ones thank you for your support. Your men will go a long way toward achieving our freedom. We should warn you, however, that we can offer no escort onto the surface. The Imperial fleet in orbit over Pirya II, although small, may still be able to do much damage to your forces. Be careful.

Pirya System

The arrival of the Abh forces in the Pirya system surprised the government commander. He hadn't expected the rebels to receive reinforcements. Immediately he ordered his meager fleet into battle formation. The three Matalok cruisers (think organic Victory-class SD) formed in a line parallel to the Abh fleet with the Kor Chokk Grand Cruiser (organic Executor-class SSD) behind and in the center of them. After a few minutes of maneuvering, the fleet interposed itself between the Abh fleet and Pirya II.

No sooner had they done so, however, than did the Tannishar fleet drop out of hyperspace behind the Abh fleet. Still confident that his forces may be sufficient to hold off the enemy, the Commander maintained position and turned all guns on the combined enemy fleet and began launching fighters (324 total). As they did so, the Tidan forces arrived in system, although on the other side of the planet. Unable to stop them, the Talaaxian fleet let that enemy pass. The Abh/Tannishar fleet, however, would not receive that luxury as the Talaaxian fleet opened fire.

Then we will send a ship to capture it for you.

A single ship was dispatched, the massive Terran Battleglobe was sent to take Dasan, armed with hundreds of thousands of Grasers, and thousands of Missile Tubes, as well as three APOLLO packs, it had the ability to destroy a small fleet all on its own, there wasn't a shield generator large enough to cover the entirety of the ship, but a single powerful shield plane could be generated in any one direction to interdict at least some fire.

It emerged a few days after the message in the Dasan system, and began burning in towards the planet at its maximum acceleration of just over 300 gravities. When the enemy picket showed up, it would be crushed...

Pirya System

A small taskforce of 3 Imperial Star Destroyers and several escorts entered the system, followed slowly by several transports. The transports carried much needed weapons and supplies for the rebellion and stayed behind the fleet. The Star Destroyers took point and began to move in on the enemy, firing rapid-firing shots, faster though weaker than the normal-powered shots and launching snubfighters. The Council had to dust off and distribute anti-Vong tactics to the Navy, but they were sure to be useful.

Soon to be leading the ground forces was a Jounin Shinobi (Master Ninja) named Naruto. Clad in a dark cloak and wearing his customary orange jumpsuit with black limbs, he certainly doesn't look like one would expect of a ninja, but he is one nevertheless. The Shinobi are a suborder of the Jedi Knights, known for conducting clandestine operations such as this one.

The story, if anyone asks and decides to believe officially, would be that a rogue force has decided to take Vong matters into their own hands in absense of the Council's blessing or wishes. 'Flying Tigers' in space, if you will. In reality, the Coredians will definitely be throwing in with the rebels. As such, the Star Destroyers have no readily identifiable IFF signals for this theatre...

The Infiltrators burned towards the planet at full speed. Faal leaned forward in the cabin. One of the pilots turned back to him. "Sir, there is a fleet on the other side of the planet." Alarms went off. "They've spotted us!"

Faal shouted over the alarm. "Keep the cloak up. They may know we are here, but they still have to hit us, and there is no way for them to know who we are. Just keep going."

The pilot acknowledged. "Roger that. No action by the enemy fleet, it looks as though have their hands full anyway."

The ships broke through the atmosphere and screamed toward the sea. Retro-rockets fired slowing down the craft before the slashed into the water.
___________________________________________________

The ships were secured at the bottom just off the coastline. All the supplies were unloaded and readied for transport. Just below the surface 10 squads of 10 Tidani special forces formed up, the best of the best of the Tidani Marines. In their native tongue communication under water was perfect. A few heads emerged just enough to get a quick look around. There was a Talaaxian patrol a few hundred meters down the beach. Faal ordered them to move into positions around the government forces. 3 squads on either side of the patrol and 4 were parallel with them. On Faal's command plasma grenades were hurled into the patrol from the water, then the squads behind surfaced and opened fire with carbines and a few beam snipers. As the enemy engaged them the group on the opposite side surfaced and fired at the back of the patrol, then the parallel group surfaced and joined in as well also launching a few rockets into the fray.

The Tidani had landed.

OOC: ok that last line may have been a little corny but I was enjoying myself too much. ;)

The Coralskippers were doomed, there were 200 of them, there were over 200 THOUSAND Grasers on thhe massive Battleglobe, only about half of them could bear on any target at once if they weren't surrounding the Battleglobe, but the skippers were, and that meant that the Globe could engage with more like three fourths of its weapons, and they wre all targeted on the coralskippers for now.

Responding to the strike by the Vong fleet, the previously mentioned shield plane appeared, it couldn't stop everything coming towards the Globe, but it could stop most of it, and the armor of the Globe should be able to survive mutiple vollies by the enemy ships...

Edge of Talaaxian Space

"Commander, we have captured an enemy vessel within our interdiction field."

"Excellent... launch coralskippers and open fire. Wake the yammosk, it's talents may be needed."

A few seconds later the TFU ship found itself under fire from a Mi'id Ro'ik cruiser. All 60 plasma cannons opened fire, blasting the enemy vessel's shields with deadly accuracy. A few minutes later the coralskippers were all launched. Almost 250 of the deadly little fighters swarmed around the enemy ship, adding their own plasma cannons to the mass of fire being directed at it. Coordinated perfectly by the yammosk, the coralskippers attacked simultaneously from all sides, pounding the ship's shields relentlessly.

Moving closer, the cruiser's dovin basals began to reach out for the enemy's shields. The closer the ship got, the stronger the pull was until the enemy's shields were torn away completely, exposing the soft hull beneath. It was only a matter of time until the enemy succumbed to the beating they were receiving.

At the appearance of the Coredian ships, the government commander knew the battle was lost. However, like the true warrior he was, he put all thoughts of surrender from his mind and endeavoured to take as much of the enemy with him as he could. Instead of firing on the enemy fleet as whole, he ordered his ships to target individual vessels en masse, destroying a single ship them moving on to another. The enemy would pay for their presense at Pirya...
"What do we have?" The Captain of the Determination asked as shields flared from the plasma fire.

"One Grand Cruiser, three Victory analogs." The sensor operator reported.

"Very well. Concentrate fire on the Grand Cruiser." The captain ordered. "Maintain formation until we move within orbitial range of the planet, then we drop the troops. Defensive formations for the fighters and escorts. Keep the Coralskips off of us."

"Aye, sir." Helm answered.

As a Nebulon-B2 sustained damage and had to fall back, the Star Destroyer began pounding the Grand Cruiser together with massive bellows of turbolasers, while fighters and escorts supported the capital ships in dealing with the enemy coralskippers and lighter ships.

The battle was obviously going badly, but the ships fought on. The Grand Cruiser was taking heavy damage and wouldn't last much longer. When the hail from the Dweledefian ship came through, the Commander responded almost immediately and the channel was extended to all ships in the vicinity. "Ha! What are you talking about infidel? We are a member of the GFFA. You are attacking us! Be glad that we will not meet face to face infidel, or else I would tear your organs out of your mouth with my own hands! Your treachery will not go unpunished!"

With that the channel was closed. A few seconds later, the Talaaxian vessels began to accelerate toward the enemy fleets. For a few moments it seemed they were only getting closer in order to improve accuracy, but it soon became apparent that they were intending to ram the enemy. Each ship picked the largest ship close to them and began accelerating rapidly toward it. If victory could not be achieved, then they would die honourably with fists raised in defiance to the enemy.

Somewhere in New Dornalia-

The small privateer fleet led by Ahmed Al-Juhziz was, in many ways, like the ramshackle pirate fleets found in the Workers State. It had some measure of class and standardization, as Al-Juhziz was a nobleman, Arab royalty, exiled because he would not join the New Dornalian Communist Party.

The fleet was joined by a few People's Acolyte ships, mainly Mao Zedong IIa's, and the total fleet was about, say, 100 ships only, many small and mediumweight. They had powerful guns, the meeting with Sensei Tadanobu provided the prince with Warp Cannons, and torpedo guns, and some People's Hammer torpedoes. Only a few, mind.

Along with them were a group of 6,000 Human Volunteers, and 5,000 Kroot Mercenaries. Assembled from a variety of sources, they were determined to make their mark.

They moved quickly, and formed up. They had to cheat the ND border guards first.

An exchange ensued, and bribery occurred, as a tidy sum was transferred to the guards in exchange for passage. Then, they moved out, to an uncertain fate...............they approached the edge of Talaaxian space......and warped slipping inside. They then moved with haste, to try and find allied forces....long range indicated some disturbances in the Pirya system, they set a rough course. They didn't know what was going on, but it would be worth the ride.

If not we could use help carrying it. We brought plenty of Carbines and ammo, we have heard of the bio armor resistant to the energy weapons we commonly use. Our carbines are medium range rifles that fire radioactive projectiles that are most damaging to living tissue. We think these will do the job." He looked around at the battle ravaged beach. The marine dropship piloted by Savage had finally entered the atmosphere and was on decent. It would have been foolish to drop right down in the middle of a battlefield and they really had no idea where to exactly land. This proved a problem since there was some valuable eqiupment on board for the sargaent.

The ship settled down in a small clearing surrounded by tall trees. Seemed as good place as any to land. Savage opened the weapons locker and began sifting through to find something he liked. A shotgun for the holster over his left shoulder and the standard marine rifle with incenary rounds. He slid his lightly plated breast plate on and slung his rifle over his shoulder.

The sargaent looked to Lord Eaisu. "Well where do you think we should start looking?"

"You stay here and I'll scout out around the area making sure there is nothing around and then we shall look for the Jedi."

Savage nodded. "You take care of that and I'll make sure the ship is secured and then hook up the remote control devices."

Lord Eiasu dashed off into the woods faster than any man could possibly run as he scoured the area.

A large, blue rift opened in the fabric of space. The small fleet led by the I.S.S. Warhammer poured out of the Jump Point into Real Space.

They broadcast an overt message to the T.F.U. ships:

Attention, alien craft. You have breached the boarder of a member nation of the Galactic Federation Of Free Alliances. We were dispatched by another nation so that our ally wouldn't have to bother with you.

Of course, that message was merely playing along with the cover story and was mainly for the benefit of any Talaaxian ships in the area. Hidden deep inside the message, however, was a missive detailing the true reasons for the SeaQuestian fleets presence, but this was transmitted only at the T.F.U. ships.

The head of the operation, Sensei-Colonel Frederico Law argued with Juhziz on how to get there. A re-reading of the letter from the Shamed Ones revealed the destination to be the Pirya System (Pirya II and III), and Juhziz had merely rolled his eyes at the Sensei. He didn't trust commies, and the fact they had him sending his men and his ships into hostile territory with Kroot and green idealists and crazy gun nuts and Jedi was not comforting. At least he was being paid well for this task. Juhziz was a damned good pilot, and his boys deserved every penny.

On the Ground

Commander D'san pointed to the sky in response to the Tidan commando's question. "If your friends have finished off the ships in orbit it is safe to fly. We have no air fighters, but neither do they. Our base is just over the ridge, however, so you should be able to carry your supplies. My men can help you carry it. Come, I will show you the way.

With that, he waved toward the ridge and started off into the underbrush.

The Tidani gathered their equipment and with help from the Talaaxians they marched toward up the ridge. (OOC: We are going to base beta?)

Meanwhile with the picket fleet in orbit gone, the Tidani could be a little more...bold in their interference. A Supply Transport arrived in orbit. It was on its way to bring trade to Flightopia when it ran into a large ion storm and had to adjust its course... a lot. That was their story at least. As they dropped into the system and recharged to jump again a message was sent to the surface. Ten cargo sections broke off and began decending to the surface.

Encrypted channel to Commander Faal: Supplies are being transported to the surface, please direct cargo drones to destination. Over.

Faal directed the cargo to the base they were heading to. "D'san, one of my ships is sending down cargo drones to drop off weapons, and ammunition. Please tell your base to unload the drones as quickly as possible to allow the supply ship to leave the system."

When Commander D'san and the Tidani commandos arrived, the training was only just beginning, but was going well. The Shamed responed very positively to the blasters and other technological weapons. Although they were somewhat clumsy at first, many soon got a basic hold of the use of the weapons.

The presense of Jedi within the camp added an additional morale boost. Many of the Shamed, at the sight of the Jedi, immediately regained all hope of winning the battle. With the Jedi on their side, they couldn't lose. The Jedi also had a somewhat detrimental effect as well, in that it was becoming hard to maintain discipline as more and more Shamed Ones stopped what they were doing to stare in awe at the Jedi.

After everything was unloaded and distributed, Commander D'san approached the New Dornalian and Coredian commanders. "Gentlemen, I wish to ask you to take command of my army here. "That can be arranged." Naruto nodded. He disappeared in a blur and reappeared at a point where all the Shamed could see him. His voice was such that he hardly needs a bullhorn. "Listen up, folks and stop gawking! We got a battle to fight! First of all, I want this army set up in squads of four to five people each! This is to make sure you can survive against the enemy by depending on each other to help out, lay down covering fire, and keep on your toes against the enemy. Watch my Marines do so!"

A squad selected as 'volunteers' to help Naruto out moved in simple leap-frogging formation, with slightly exaggerated movements to ensure that the Shamed ones get the idea. One man would lay down covering fire, while the others moved into prime positions to fire as well, using the trees and other things as cover. They did this on the advance, and did it while 'retreating'. A simple technique, but one that lays the foundations for more complex maneuvers.

He then gave several rifles into the hands of the Shamed Ones, and then had a Kroot set up a series of targets at 50, 100, 150, 200, and 500 yards. He then said, "Comrades! I want you to shoot the center of the 50 yard targets, from a standing position and a kneeling position, like so!"

He then primed his lasgun, taking sure to demonstrate the proper procedure to the Shamed, and raising it, showing the proper firing positios (kneeling and standing), fired at dead on at a 50 yard target, before putting it down. The target was replaced, and then, Law said, "Now, your turn! My men will check to see if you have succeeded. If you have, you may try to shoot the targets at further distances."

Dasan

The Talaaxian ships were completely destroyed by the BattleGlobe. In short order all ships were destroyed. By the time of the arrival of the SeaQuestian and Fedral vessels they were nothing but rapidly expanding clouds of space dust.

A few hours later, after an uprising timed with the arrival of the BG, the local resistance commander signalled the ships in system. "This is Commander Kwaad of the Dasan resistance. We have seized control of the shipyard facility and wish to meet in person with our liberators. If need be, we will come to orbit to meet you. Also, I have a message from Yu'shaa but must deliver it in person. This line of communication is not secure."

Piryra II

The small garrison fleet was destroyed fairly quickly (OOC: Losses to friendlies?). The suicide tactics, unsurprisingly, failed to succeed and the ships were destroyed with the crews killed to a man. All coralskippers were also destroyed in suicide runs on the enemy ships. The system was now clear for the arrival of reinforcements and supplies.

Rebel Encampment Beta

At the secondary rebel base, the Abh, New Dornalian and Mini Miehm forces were greeted warmly. With this help, the fight would surely go out of the enemy quite quickly. Before further combat operations, however, the Talaaxian soldiers would need to be trained in the use of their new weapons. Camp Beta would become a training ground, where the New Dornalian advisors would train the Shamed Ones how to use technology.

Dasan:

Camp Beta - One Week Later

The Shamed Ones learned quickly. Within a couple days they could handle a rifle as well as most new recruits. By the end of the week they were confident enough of their abilities to start going out on patrol with their rifles. Soon the awe-inspiring effect of the Jedi began to wear off as well, as the Shmaed Ones began to see them as normal people and not God-like heroes.

Early on the morning of the eighth day of training, Camp Beta awoke to a mighty explosion just beyond the perimeter. The government attack had begun. Advancing in loose formation and in company-sized detatchments, the warriors tore through the jungle, rapidly closing the distance between their lines and the enemy camp. Behind them and among them advanced the monstrous Fire Breathers.

30' tall behemoths, the Fire Breathers advanced on three legs, spewing tiny bits of fire to intimidate their opponents and spreading anti-laser aerosols all around them. Just barely visible above the treeline, their advance was both quick and fear inspiring. Amongst them advanced the spiny backs of two rakamats. With dovin basal microsingularities already operation and plasma cannons (starship grade) firing away, the giant lizards seemed virtually unstoppable. At Dantooine, in the First Yuuzhan Vong War, it had taken half a squadron of X-wings and the almost self-sacrificial work of a Jedi Master to take one out. They advanced slowly behind the infantry, firing away at the perimeter defenses and the interior of Camp Beta, their massive plasma cannons tearing massive holes in the jungle as some landed short of the camp perimeter.

Naruto awoke to the sounds of warfare, and lept into action, ordering the troops to hold positions and fire at will. Of course, heavy laser cannons and turbolasers from the giant catlike mecha that are Sabercats were already pounding away at the enemy forces. As for the rakamats, a massive amount of lasercannon fire rained down from the sky as fighters and LAAT gunships were called in to support the friendly forces. The smaller cougars helped out whenever they could, firing missiles towards the Fire breathers and assault blaster fire at the rakamats. As for the enemy infantry, they were met by a hail of blaster fire from the Marine Corps and not a few duels broke out between Naruto's shinobi and the warriors as they lept out of hidden positions, lightsabers ablaze.

The ACS under Captain Sunday reacted quickly, a single squad was already suited up, and soon the entire company would be ready. By fate or chance, it had been the Grim Reaper Heavy Weapons Section in Armor when the attack came, and their massively armored and armed suits could tear therough the enemy at an amazing rate. The price for all that firepower? The suits also had the ability to tear through ammunition at an amazing rate, being capable of unloading any of their onboard weapons in just under 6 minutes of sustained fire, and it looked like they would get the chance to show why they were called the Reapers...

They approached the line at a run, or approximately 40mph, whichever you prefer. As they closed on the line all four of their weapons locked into the ready position, and began spitting monomolecular flechettes, originally designed to stop the ravening Posleen Horde, they now used their effectively unstoppable design to strike at their newest enemies.

It would take 5 minutes for the rest of the company to be active, and then things would get really messy...

The sounds of war awakened the Internacionales. Law roused his men, and they went into battle, guns blazing.

The anti-laser aerosols reduced the effectiveness of the lasguns the Internacionales carried, but still, they went to work. The Human Internacionales held their lines, taking the cues of the Coredians, and began to fire back, guarding the sides of their Kroot brothers with bravery, lasguns, and plenty of mortar and sniper fire.

The Kroot Mercenaries in the Internacionales, meanwhile, rose from the lines, and began flanking and assaulting the Vong with Kroot AKs, RPG-Krak Missiles, and traditional lever-action railrifles, plus grenades. People's Acolytes who were brave enough, meanwhile, sallied forth to join the Kroot and the shinobi of Naruto's forces.

For the green, who were held at the defenses of the Camp, it was a new thing, being in war. It was terrifying to see monsters from their childhood nightmares charge at them. Yet they held fast.

Meanwhile, to take on the nastier beasties, orbital support was called in from Juhziz's fleet in orbit. The Camp's location, and the attackers, targeted, the ships began to fire their rickety railcannons at the rakamaks and Fire Breathers, to try and aid their brothers in arms, Internacionales or not.

When the attack began the Tidani troops loaded up fully with ammo and disappeared. This was they way they were trained, and in jungle cover like that of their native homeland they were deadly. They split up into 10 groups of 10 and melted into the forest, 5 on the left and 5 on the right. Then they ran as fast as they could through the thick vegitation to flank the enemy. Snipers climbed into the canopy and made use of the clearings blasted by the enemy's fire and heavy weapons to pick off infantry, while others opened up with their carbine's anti-bio from the brush. Faal and his 9 other squad leaders carried armor suits with active camouflage. As enemy forces began reacting to their flanks and shifting attack to the Tidani commandos, Faal and his Majors activated their camo. They go in behind the enemy who fell for the bait, invisible with energy swords blazing they charged into the formations.

Faal quickly found his sword was not as useful on the enemy as it should have been. He did not give up though, the armor may be resistant but where ever he found open flesh his sword slashed and decapitated. Plasma grenades did not deal the expected radius damage that they had hoped either, though it still vaporized matter caught in the explosion. Faal made expert use of his grenades, running through the enemy groups he activated and planted them on several soldiers. The result was without warning a Talaaxian soldier would explode in a cloud of blue plasma.

OOC: Faal and his Majors were not meant to cause heavy casualties. They got in close and made effective use of their active camouflage to terrorize the enemy. Soon the enemy soldiers would be paranoid, attacking things they thought they saw out of the corner of their eye, or at strange bends of light.

Oh and just incase anyone is wondering, my guys have visors that let them pick up the signatures of the active camouflage suits, that way they can see where their leaders are and don't accidentally shoot or blow them up. ;)

Commanders B'tok and Rad'k pressed forward with their regiments in the center, supported by the Fire Breathers and the Rakamats. The blaster etc fire from the enemy camp was mercifully light thanks to the density of the jungle, but that would change soon. It was the fire from the air that was inflicting casualties. Within a few minutes, however, the regiments were clear of the jungle and charging the last hundred meters to the enemy camp. Cries of "Do-ro'ik von pratte!" rang out as thud and blast bugs whizzed through the air and the warriors bore down on the enemy, unaffected by casualties or even by wounds. Hand to hand against the likes of Cougars and Timberwolves, who lept and bit or slashed at vital points of the Vong warriors; or the shinobi, who utilized various jutsu tricks and spells and their own skills to defeat the enemy, was a futile prospect, especially where laserfire were concerned as firesupport.

The shielded Sabercats interposed themselves between the flames and the infantry and roared loudly, sending forth blasts of turbolasers at the enemy despite the aerosols. Two of them went melee, leaping onto the enemy to gnash with huge jaws and giant claws, then lept away to allow the other friendlies deal with them as they wished. The rakamats continued to be bombed from above from air support, even as several units of air assault were taken down.

On the left and right, Commanders Lah and Rapuung did the same, outflanking the camp from either direction. Once they reached the treeline, they charged forward just the same. There would be no mercy and no retreat.

Faal, his cloaking system dangerously drained, returned to the lines. There he found only 3 of the 9 Majors that had engaged the enemy in close combat as he had. The commandos had fallen back to the line created by the base defenders when the enemy left the cover of the jungle. Now they stood with the allied forces fighting to keep the enemy forces from getting close, and being bombarded by fire. Carbines lashed out at the advancing forces, and plasma grenades landed in the thickest concentrations of the enemy and detonated. It looked like the allied forces were successfully holding off the infantry, and the rakamat was distracted by air fire, the only thing still hurting them badly was the Fire Breathers. Faal stopped fire for a second and watched the fire titans attacking. A rocket fired by one of his troops flew through his line of sight, that was what he needed. "All rockets concentrate on the Fire Breather on the left!" He ordered through their channel. 6 rockets launched toward the Fire Breather and then each rocket carrier reloaded to fire again.

They began trying to snipe and bomb out as many enemies as possible coming from Lah and Rapunng's directions.

As for the orbital artillery, it was concentrated on Lah and Rapunng's forces, fired with increasing speed to try and break as many of them as possible.

OOC: About a hundred kilometers. The planet is almost entirely a very dense jungle.

OOC: Oh, easy shuttle distance. I was going to have the Dark Side deliver some "goods" to Camp Beta. Also, having a starship on the ground could provide some good artillary and fire support, so don't hesitate to ask.

IC: Several cargo shuttles had transported crate after crate of food and supplies to Camp Beta. When the fighting started, the Dark Side launched five Valkyrie-S class (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10127636&postcount=167) advanced tactical fighters to provide air support. The five fighters blasted away with their pulse weapons at any enemy target that got into their sights.

Supreme Commander Jamaane's forces pressed on. Casualties were heavy, but that was to be expected. They were determined to bring the fighting to hand-to-hand combat where they would excell.

The Fire Breathers, once they had reached the maximum range they could fire from, began spewing fire into the enemy lines. Flames rained from the sky over the enemy positions. Two had been killed by the time they reached this range, however, leaving only three to continue their deadly work. Just behind them, the rakamats continued firing their plasma cannons, concentrating now on the air vehicles buzzing around. One, attacked from three sides and unable to bring enough microsingularities to bear, was torn to pieces. The other kept firing though.

On the left and right, Commanders Lah and Rapuung did the same, outflanking the camp from either direction. Once they reached the treeline, they charged forward just the same. There would be no mercy and no retreat.

Realizing that the battle would be lost one way or another, Supreme Commander Jamaane committed his last two regiments to aid the frontal assaults and joined them in their charge personally. If victory could not be achieved then death would be the lot of the government forces. The final orders of the Supreme Commander would later be reported as "No surrender! Death to the infidel invaders! Death to the heretics. Do-ro'ik vong pratte!"

The Reapers were out of ammo, but that was a pretty common occurence in combat, since the Marauders and Scouts were on the line now, the Reapers could fall back, re-arm, re-load, and head back out to fight.

The Rakamats were deadly to the ACS, but they were the only enemy forces that could hurt them. So, as a solution to that problem, they focused their Grav-Gun fire on them, firing so many bullets so fas that it looked like a stream of lightning was asll that was leaving their barrels. In fact, it was thousands of Depleted Uranium pellets, all accelerated to .3c, before they impacted with their targets, creating explosions equivalent to packing a few hundred pounds of TNT into the targets body cavity, and then detonating all of it. There was no way the Rakamats could survive their fire for long, and the Shamed Ones seemed to have the infantry battle well in hand.

Piryra II

The death of the second rakamat cemented the government defeat. Under fire from air units and Mini Miehm ACS, the rakamat's dovin basals tired themselves out and shut down, leaving it completely vulnerable to vast amount of fire being directed at it. It managed to survive almost a minute before it's wounds finally killed it.

In front of it the fire breathers were also beginning to fall. Under fire from every heavy weapon within firing distance, it was all they could do to get within 200 meters of the camp before being killed. With a final spray of liquid flames, the last fire breather collapsed into the jungle canopy, dashing all hopes of inflicting as many casualties on the enemy as the government would suffer.

The sight of the deaths of their heavy weapons would have destroyed morale in any army other than the Yuuzhan Vong. Instead it raised morale. Knowing now that victory and survival were impossible, the warriors fought on even harder. Determined to die honourably with piles of enemy corpses at their feet, the warriors fought on to the last man. Surrender was out of the question. Death was the only option for these men. By the end of the day the entire government army had been destroyed virtually to a man. Nearly ten thousand warriors lay dead outside the camp. Inside the camp nearly eight thousand Shamed Ones, having fought for freedom and paid the ultimate price, lay dead. The Battle of Pirya II was a victory for the rebellion, albeit a costly one.

The end of the battle meant a costly victory for the Internacionales as well. Over 800 men lay dead, more wounded. Most were Kroot, though many Humans had perished as well in the combat.

The Kroots that survived raised a traditional victory shout, and their Shaper Commander ordered them to their grisly tradition of consuming the dead. The Kroot did this to gain DNA for the future, now, the fallen Vong would make the Kroot that had vanquished them all the more powerful. The Kroot went wild, and began going after the dead government Vong, if they hadn't already. The practice sickened the Humans, but Law knew it was tradition, so he let it happen.

Meanwhile, Acolytes and medics began tending the wounded, using Force powers and technology to heal injuries, which were severe. Mainly burns and slashes, from the horrible weapons.

Law called the pirates in orbit. He told them to relay a message to the Acolyte Temple on Earth.

Bring more men. More Internacionales. More heavy equipment. More ships. And fast.

The call was heard, and the call went out over the HoloNet and the airwaves for volunteers. Almost immediately, Catgirls, Humans, Elves, all persons, began to line up.

And as for the technology part, well, the Acolytes were able to contact their friends in the Politburo, and got them to release some restrictions on arms purchases. The good stuff would be coming soon.

Naruto pulled his blade out of the corpse of a Vong warrior and had the soldiers report.

Losses:
200 Marines
3 shinobi slain and burned.
10 Cougars, 6 wolves.
2 Sabercats damaged.

Light losses, but the severity of the enemy assault meant that more of the soldiers and mechs were injured or damaged, some to the point of merely lingering. Even Naruto got a scar from a amphistaff snake bite, a bite that would have killed a lesser being with its poison. As it is, he healed himself of the poison with a useful little jutsu and looked around. Corpses were everywhere...

Pirya II

Three Reapers were dead, as well as two Marauders, and one Scout, but for the tight knit ACS, those losses were unforgivable, there was no way that the ACS, technically a law unto themselves under Dominion Military Codes, would let the Yuuzhan'vong of Yuuzhan'tar and the Talaaxian Empire survive. Those who did not surrender, wounded, infirm, or young, they would all be destroyed for the losses the barbarous vong had inflicted on the Fleet Strike units. Now there was a Debt of Bones to be payed, there was no way they would forgive the Yuuzhan'vong, who they conveniently already detested...

The please for aid had been answered, and the People's Acolytes were able to authorize a more well organized and well supplied volunteer unit, the Second Volunteer Force.

The force now included a total unit of 60 ships, 10 Mao Zedong III's, 10 Zaitsev II's, and 10 old Mao Zedong IIa's. The rest were cargo ships, hired smugglers armed and carrying railguns, sniper railguns, lightsabers, plasma guns, Kurosawa II and Daltrey mecha, and more ammo and medical supplies. Lots of ammo, and other goodies for the Internacionales and their allies.

Also, canvassing the Workers State and the TSR, 30,000 were found to fight, mostly of the same compostition as the previous wave, though with a little more Acolytes and less green idealists, and with more Catgirls, Elves, and some Kol'Tssien Lizard Mercenaries. More were in the dock, but were being processed, or busy in the Angelic Wars.

But, they were coming, and they soon ended up near Pirya II.........where they hailed the Rebels, saying, "Rebel forces, this is the Second Volunteer Force. Requesting Permission to land..."

The Tidani had taken heavy losses from the fire bombardments once they had rejoined the lines. Particularly susceptible to heat, the intense inferno was too much for them to take. It quickly drained their shields and overloaded their temperature suits trying to cool them down, and burned many of them alive. They fought hard and earned honored deaths in the blood of their enemies and in the freedom of those they protected. It was hard to find anyone who was not wounded in some way, though miraculously Faal was completely unharmed.

Faal received the message from the Rebels. "I will pass it on to the government, considering the loss of so many forces of Alliance nations they may consider declaring war. In which case they will send ships, if not it is likely they will only send troops. I will use what power I have to push for unrestricted aid of your people D'san."

The 2nd Volunteer Force complied, and joined the other allies moving the fight to Dasan. The other Internacionales complied, and began moving, returning to their ships, and linking up with reinforcements in orbit and getting resupplied, before moving forth to their new staging ground.

The Internacionales had been bloodied by this struggle, and the Kroot involved were already feeling the genetic effects of having taken on the Yuuzhan Vong. They felt stronger, and more ready to take on the world. Not to mention, they seemed to heal faster, and feel less pain. Though the full effects would be seen yet.

Now the new forces were moving, and morale was high, especially since it was proven the Yuuzhan Vong were not invincible and since reinforcements came. Now, all New Dornalia's Regular Government had to do was reinforce them, or otherwise help out the Acolytes, and they would be in business.

-------------------

This soon arrived. For Sensei Tadanobu was in communications with the head of the Commissar of National Defense and top military advisers, who had an interesting offer to make.

"Sensei, we know of your war in Talaax. Despite the prohibitions we placed upon you, you still managed to get 10,000, no, 40,000 men inside, and helped to beat the Yuuzhan Vong, at Pirya II. Impressive, for a force of Kroot and green college kids, and a few real gun nuts and Acolytes. Not bad."

The Commissar for National Defense, who said that speech, got up.

"Which is why, I have a deal for you."

The Sensei was then treated to projected images of tanks, mecha, all kinds of goodies. The Commissar smiled and said, "We're thinking of sending you the Jose Marti mechatank. We have tested it, it seems okay, but it has not yet proved its value in battle. We want you to put it to good use."

Sensei Tadanobu then said, "Okay, I am listening."

"And, we are also interested in restarting a few Projects. The Komsomol III and Daltrey II designs, for one. Also, we are entering a new wave of military expansion. We figure, as long as this war lasts, we have a new testing ground."

Sensei Tadanobu then waved her hand and said, "One thing at a time. Send the Jose Marti first. For now, send me proven units, and show me new designs. When I want one, I'll let you know. Okay?"

The Commissar said, "As you wish, Sensei. We will provide proven weapons."

She then said, "One request."

"Yes?"

"I'll need artillery. Lots of Artillery. And maybe fighters and units. Send me upgraded Komsomols."

The Commissar then said, "As you wish."

Sensei Tadanobu then said, "Nice dealing with you."

In about two hours of waiting, an entire battlefleet was sent to Pirya II to link up with Naruto's forces and then once the Marine Corps packed up and headed into space, they were prepared to move out for Dasan.

Along with the three Star Destroyers, one Strike Cruisers and two Nebulon-B2 frigates that survived Pirya, an additional fleet was sent.

Battlefleet:
1 Elite-class Star Destroyer, Ultrasaur
2 Artillery Star Destroyers
4 Imperial Mark III Star Destroyers
8 Imperial Mark II Star Destroyers
6 Strike Cruisers
8 Nebulon-B2 Frigates
7 Lancer antistarfighter frigates
10 Wolfpacks
25th Starfighter Corps

Marine Corps Planetary Assault (detached from III Corps):
3 Victory Star Destroyers
2 Acclamator-class Heavy Assault Cruisers

Once everything was settled and Naruto transferred to the Ultrasaur, the fleet made the jump to hyperspace for Dasan.

Jurai has made a statement here. By committing a significant force to this war effort, the Council has effectively declared war without an official declaration on the leadership of the Yuuzhan Vong in support of Yu'shaa. The die has been cast...now let us see where it falls...

Both nodded. "As far as we can tell all pockets of resistance are put down and we are putting a new territorial government into place. Also the Forger arrived so we now have access to it via Sord should anything happen. Anyone trying to retake the territory will be overwhelmed by our forces."

The Abriel smiled. "Well done."

Rulef looked at the tactical map. "It looks we have missed something."

"Yes you have. There is a civil war brewing in Talaax."

"Have you notified the government asking what they need for support?"

The Abriel grinned. "No. We are supporting the rebels in this one."

Mustaf whispered into Rulef's ear. "Leave it to an Abriel to make things interesting." That brought a snicker from the woman.

The Abriel paid no attention and went on. "Admiral Bebaus will handle excursions into the their space. My Imperial fleet will be on standby should it be needed."

"And what are you preparing to give to the inexperienced Admiral?"

"Anything he needs. He'll have the branch of the Human Star Forces at his disposal."

That brought wide eyed stares from the rest of them. "That's a little overkill don't you think?"

"Relax. He doesn't need it all. He is only taking a fraction of the force. Besides if I'm not mistaken, we have other forces spread out in space so he can't take them all. In any case Admiral Trife has his fleet ready with a few addons patroling the border between us and Talaax. Should the fight need to be made formal with us invading so we can take a bit of the heat off the rebels, he will do so."

"And how many of Star Forces ships does he have at his command?"

"About two thousand though that does not include the Frontlineships."

"And what would you have of us your Highness?"

Dubeusec shrugged. "You two have done well and may take leave if you wish."

That brought smiles to the both and with curt bows they quickly left the room.

"Have the sargaent and the Betterman finally arrived Nafie?"

The Admiral turned to his chief of staff. "They are just now docking. Why so curious brother?"

"Because the allies are already moving on to the next battle front. We can't fall behind in this and risk disgracing the Empire or our fleet."

"Don't worry brother, I always take the honor of the fleet and Empire into every decision I make. We can't leave our men behind though. Once they are secure we will be on our way."

It only took five minutes for the sargaent and Lord Eiasu to get situated and then the Abh fleet was off headed for Dasan.

Law replied, "It is an audacious plan. It sounds good, but we must ensure that the fascists are not luring us into a trap. We must be careful not to be attacked on the way there."

He then marshaled the total fleet, and began moving out. His concern was the safety of the transports with him, which were armed merchantmen, which were probably not going to fare well against a concentrated government assault. Still, he trusted in his other portions; whom he assigned to provide cover.

He also wired a signal to New Dornalia, asking for reinforcements.

-----------

Meanwhile, as this occurred, the ND Government issued a statement-

"Being that the GFFA has condoned intervention in the current Talaaxian War, and being that there are New Dornalians in the current war right now, fighting under the banner of the Internacionales, we are obliged to aid them. We will hereby provide full aid and support, as well as condonement, to those members of our Armed Forces and those civilians who, not currently engaged in a conflict, may wish to fight for the freedom of the Talaaxian people."

-----------------------------------

This meant that now, a full fleet of People's Navy (20 Mao Zedong III's, 20 Prochkhorovka II's, 10 Zaitsev II's, and 10 Trotsky Escorts) had just "volunteered," and joined the Internacionales.

Law then said, "Ready when you are."

"So what do you think, Admiral?" Naruto asked once they recieved the plan.

Admiral Bosche of the Ultrasaur stroked his chin. "I see several systems after this battle where we can move to cut off enemy actions. We can bypass the system here..." He pointed to the westernmost system, two systems past the shipyards. "And directly strike for the one after that."

"I see, you want to use that system to launch a second strike towards here." Naruto pointed to the system two systems from Yuuzhan'tar. "Cut the Talaax empire in two and we can leisurely destroy either side. It also helps that we cut Yuuzhan'tar off from possible reinforcements."

Admiral Bosche nodded. "Exactly. We'll deliver the plan after we take the shipyards."

Dasan

The rebel fleet had gathered to meet their allies for the first time in the Dasan system. Supreme Commander Kraal, Commander of the Heretic Fleet and former government fleet commander, now held the detailed plans of Yu'shaa's proposed offensive. Gathered in close formation in high orbit over Dasan Prime, the fleet greeted it's allies with an impressive salvo of plasma shots into empty space as they arrived.

Each of the allied fleets were hailed collectively once they'd all arrived and given the details of the battle plan. The plan for the offensive looked like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v162/AnubisRPGuild/YVSpace.gif
Each red dot represents a major political or industrial center in the Empire. The first target are the shipyards at Montnex Prime. Enemy strength is estimated at no more than 50 vessels.

OOC: The rebel fleet consists of -

10 Kor Chokk Grand Cruisers
40 Uro-lk Vahl Battleships
20 Uro-lk Glu'ta Battleships
40 Suuv Ban D'Krid Cruisers
20 Matalok Cruisers
50 I'Friil Ma-Nat Corvettes
20 Ro'ik Chuun M'arh Frigates
1,800 Coralskippers

The plan was distributed throughout the fleet. Even the Dark Side got a copy of the map when she rejoined the fleet near Dasan. The ships were made ready.

A few rouge asteroids were destroyed by energy weapon fire from the capital ships as the gunners practiced their aim. No projectile weapons were used, however, as that was deamed a waste of the ammo they had.

As the allied fleet dropped out of hyperspace, the government fleet immediately came together and turned to engage the enemy. Almost immediately a hyperspace interdiction field was thrown up within the system. After a couple of minutes, plasma cannons on Montnex Prime and Montnex Beta (twin planets) began firing on the allied fleet. Nearly 200 plasma cannons had trained on the lead ships of the formation, aiming to destroy the ships in the quickest amount of time possible.

At the same time, the government fleet finished forming up in two lines abreast directly between the enemy and Montnex. Turning all plasma cannons on the enemy, the fleet opened fire as one - a feat accomplished by the yammosk aboard the flagship. In front were the frigates, corvettes and cruisers (not grand cruisers) and behind the battleships, with the coralskipper carriers in behind. Simultaneous to opening fire, the ships began launching their coralskippers and sending them in droves towards the nearest enemy ships. Acting as one entity instead of hundreds, once again due to the yammosk, the coralskippers swarmed the nearest enemy ships in an attempt to destroy or disable them in the shortest amount of time.

"Well brother it sees we are being met with some resistance here. What are your orders Nafie?"

"It's simple brother. Deploy our Frontlineships to the front of the fleet and make sure all friendly allied aircraft had been programmed into the friend from foe targeting system. Have all one hundred launch a volley of mine attacks into the enemy. As soon as that is over I want all fighters to launch from our small detachment that has arrived. Whitestars will lead the charge while fighters take care of the corralskippers."

"And the rest of the ships that jumped in with us?"

"We'll wait until the larger fish come into range. Until then let our smaller craft eat them away. Now issue the order."

"Right away."

A hundred Frontlineships moved to the head of the Abh column and opened all ports which numbered to about fifty per ship. It only took a couple of minutes before they were ready. The signal was given and mines poured out in groves. Five thousand mines pouring out towards the enemy with the desire for destruction however these weren't the normal mobile mines that had been used before. These new ones could detect fire in it's direction in which they single case would break apart revealing three smaller mines hidden away but still carrying anti-matter warheads. If they were shot at, five thousand would turn into fifteen thousand.

Then on came the fighters that stuck in groups of four paired up with a 456 meter Whitestar as they engaged the smaller craft that were a current threat. The main Abh fleet still remained a substantial distance away from the government fleet.

The incoming fire pounded away at the SeaQuestian ships' shields.

The Warhammer fired the first SeaQuestian shot in response. Her four Ultra-Matter Twin Cannons* started slinging slug after slug at the enemy. Her four Gravitic torpedo Projectors** also went into action.

The Voyagers each fired five Photon Torpedoes that went racing as they tracked the Coralskippers. They also started to cut loose with all fifteen banks of Type XII Phasers.

The Ulysses launched all 1,800 of its fighters before withdrawing to the back of the formation.

The other SeaQuestian ships also cut went weapons free and fired at will at any enemy that came into range.

OOC: * The Ultramatter cannons are gravitomagnetic accelerators that throw a bolt of degenerated matter at a speed of 370,000 meters/sec: the bolt is obtained compressing ordinary matter in the breech of the weapon until it reaches a density of about 200 times the ordinary metal used as primary feed (copper-nickel alloy). The compression is obtained thanks to a gravitic "annular-singularity" device.
** The graviton wave generated by the explosion of a Phased Gravitic Torpedo generates in a material structure an enormous tidal force that at close distance can literally tear in pieces a ship and her crew.

The Terran Battleglobe rippled into being as its enchenach drive went offline, its first act on entering the system was simple: Kill any imperial ship it could target with enough weapons. The rest of the Task Fleets were just as unsubtle. 43,500 fighters and Interceptors rode with these fleets, and now they emerged from Warp and engaged any ship that was in their range, coralskippers were tracked by the deadly Genesis Interceptors, guided by Foehammer and Genesis Squadron, the 8 Gatling Lasers on each of the 3,000 Interceptors could fire 6 rounds a second, and they engaged without mercy.

The Capitol Ships were less useful, since they could only fire a shot every 1.5 seconds or so, meaning they didn't have the rate of fire, or numbers required to defeat anything but light units. The Gunships and Carriers would be more useful, as would the Cruisers and Destroyers, if they ever arrived...

The Plasma guns from the planets surface would be severly damaging if they managed to hit any of the ships, but, thankfully, the only ships they would be able to effectively target were in the middle of the formation, except for the battleglobe, which would be much more able to take the beating thanany of the more "regular" ships...

Before he left however, a large and very powerful dovin basal was dropped on the hemisphere of Montnex Prime facing Montnex Beta (they are tidally locked). Yuuzhan'tar

Over the past month ships from across the Empire had been gathering in the Yuuzhan'tar system. The entire surviving Imperial Fleet had gathered and was preparing to jump to the Sekot system. Taking command of the fleet personally, Supreme Overlord Nas Choka surveyed the assembled fleet from the bridge of his flagship Legacy of Torment. Speaking into a specially modified villip choir, he issued an ultimatum to the rebel forces across the Empire. "Rebel cowards! The time of your deaths is at hand! The might of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet is gathered and will soon be at your doorstep. If you have any honour, which I doubt you do, you will meet us in open and honourable combat. Come to the Sekot System and fight us. I give you my word of honour that should you be victorious, the Empire will be yours. It is your honour at stake. Face us with honour or be hunted down without honour! Do-ro'ik Vong Pratte!"

An hour later the Imperial Fleet jumped to hyperspace, destined for the Sekot system. The final hours of the rebellion have come. The war will end soon, one way or another.

The rebel fleet, in all it's unimpressive glory had assembled at the Sekot system. Having snuck off of Yuuzhan'tar through a combination of force tricks and thievery, Yu'shaa stood on the bridge of his own flagship - Rapuung the Redeemer - and surveyed his meager fleet. There was no hope of victory unless his allies came through for him and he knew it. An appeal for aid had already been issued to the GFFA governments, he could only hope that help would arrive before the Imperial Fleet.

With the battle over, the Ultrasaur tallied up the losses:
3 Nebulon-B2 frigates
1 Strike Cruiser
3 Wolfpacks
1/5 of 25th Starfighter Corps
Star Destroyers in varying stages of damage, with the Ultrasaur recieving light damage.

A small cloud of probe droids were dispatched to chase the enemy fleet and then the techies of the fleet were brought in to bring their minds to bear on what to do with the falling planets. They even analyzed the Sernipidal Incident to try and figure out what to do. Soon enough...

The Admiral Bosche hailed the rebel fleet. "Try to use your own dovins to keep the planets from falling into each other! We're going in to find and destroy the thing!"

A squadron of LAAT gunships were dispatched to search and defeat the thing. It wasn't all that hard with the telemetry from the gravimetric detectors of the capital ships, but the winds from the atmospheres grating each other made it tough to fly through.

------

Some time later, whatever happened...

The appeal for aid at the Sekot System reached the ears of the Jedi Council, where it is well-known that the war has reached a climax point. To aid the Ultrasaur fleet now heading towards the battlefield, the Council has decided to dispatch the SSD Light Side of the Force and the accompanying 3rd Fleet, which includes the sister ship of the Ultrasaur, the Ankylosaur. The Light Side had been badly damaged back during the Imperial/Coredian Civil War and slowly recovered over the years. But now, it was back, and better than ever.

This meant that along with the Ultrasaur fleet, an additional seventy five ships (not counting Wolfpacks) would be sent to Sekot soon, and battle would be decided...one way or another.

Admiral Bebaus was now lounging in a chair looking at his fleet returning to formation. A beautiful sight to the man. "It seems we had great success. Hardly a scratch to our fleet with only a few Frontlineships destroyed and plenty more in reserve. It must be due to my excellent commanding skills."

"If you want to think that then I won't stop you. In anycase the majority of the enemy fleet fled so that means we will have to fight them again. Though I must say, the improvements to our fleet are magnificent. The single fighter craft don't do a bad job paired up with the Whitestars but I still prefer our Attack Vessels."

"Yes and the rest of our fleet only sat back and watched thier beautiful performance. The next battle I believe will take a larger show of strength. Anyways, we must be moving on to the next battlefield. Once all ships are refueled and resupplied, give the order to jump. Relay our destination to the other fleet shadowing us in Hyperspace and those that are still using the Hyperdrives and remain at a safe distance."

Nareece curtly bowed his head. "It will be done brother."

Dubreusec stood above the tactical map in the war room as he watched the progression of Admiral Bebaus's fleet. Admiral Trife had finally reported back in after his scouting expeditions with the second fleet. Regions had been highlighted in different colors that belonged to opposing factions of the government. The government's fleet had been labeled in a star system of Sekot.

Admiral Abriel looked to Trife. "How many do we expect to face?"

"Unknown but guesses from the Intelligence Bureau places them well above the numbers Admiral Bebaus has. He only has half of the human branch of Star Forces with him. He would need it all to counter their numbers but we can't afford to send them all."

"No I agree but I will take the Imperial fleet with me and aid him jointly. I will leave you in charge while I am away."

Trife bowed. "Thank you your highness. How many ships will you take with you?"

Dubreusec turned and started walking away. "A thousand ships to reinforce the legions he already has at his disposal."

Within half an hour, a thousand warships of the Empire were mobilized to link up with Admiral Bebaus for the final battle. How many ships would be joining was unknown to Bebaus.

The surving SeaQuestian ships from the Battle Of Montnex Prime tallied up their losses:

2 Voyager class battle cruisers - heavily damaged
3 Nova class battle cruisers - destroyed
2 Nova class battle cruisers - heavy damage

The Internacionales counted 10 ships knocked out of commission, 5 of the Mao Zedongs, 5 Pirate ships, along with damages to various others, along with 500 TIEs taken down.

The ND Fleet joined the Dovin Basal Hunt, meanwhile, as a 5 ship detachment of Maos was sent to try and destroy it. The rest of them, meanwhile, repaired, and tried to refuel.

-----------

The successful battle of Montnex Prime, though not an exclusively New Dornalian victory, seemed to validate further the intervention. Another 10 Maos were sent to replace the damaged ships, arriving, and escorted by repair ships, who worked to try and get the ND Vessels that were damaged back into operation.

Meanwhile, Amerikanski Pravda picked up reports that the Government of Talaax was going to try to challenge the rebellion to a decisive blow. With that in mind, an additional fleet was spared, composed of the same as the previous one, and one was spared from the Terran Socialist Republic, as well, with similar composition.

Appearing near their comrades, they all prepared for the battle ahead. Prepping coordinates, they were readied to move at a moment's notice.

Sekot

"Allies and friends. The hour of victory is upon us. There is but one obstacle between us and the victory we have fought so long and hard for. In a few hours the Imperial Fleet will be upon us. They are mighty. They are coordinated. They are determined and confident. But we have one advantage over them. They can lose and still retain life and honour. We cannot. Defeat for us means death. And so we will fight even harder. We will fight for the Shamed across the empire. We will fight in the name of Vua Rapuung the Redeemer. We will fight for life and liberty! Defeat is not an option!" Yu'shaa spoke into the villip choir before him, transmitting his prebattle message to the entire assembled fleet. The seemingly ragtag assembly of vessels from across the galaxy was actually a fairly coordinated and determined fighting force but it was still to be determined how they would fare against the might of the Yuuzhan Vong warfleet...

A Few Hours Later

At the edge of Sekot system, one by one in rapid succession, the Yuuzhan Vong warfleet emerged from hyperspace. Hundreds of ships of various sizes, all moving into formation with a silent yet determined and confident air. Any initial fire or interdiction from the enemy was completely ignored. Nas Choka sat aboard the Legacy of Torment and surveyed the battlefield. After maybe two minutes he looked over at his communication officer. "Announce battle plan Zeta. Begin forming up. Launch coralskippers. This ends now..."

Several seconds later the order was carried out. The fleet split into five equal groups which formed into a chevron formation. From left to right the battlegroups were entitled, Yun-Yuuzhan, Yun-Harla, Yun-Yammka, Yun-Txiin and Yun-Q'aah. The flagship of the entire fleet was located in Yun-Yammka battlegroup. At the same time, the approximately 1.2 million coralskippers of the fleet were launched and immediately formed a fighter screen infront of the fleet groups. Rather than attacking enemy ships directly, the coralskippers were being deployed to screen the other ships from fighter attack.

As the fleet advanced, it began firing in perfect coordination, once again thanks to the yammosks carried by each fleet group. (15 total, three per fleet group). Starting with Yun-Yuuzhan the ships each loosed a single volley at the enemy, each fleet group firing in turn. The subsequent volleys, however, were fired at the same time. After advancing to within a reasonable distance of the enemy (about 500,000 - 1 million km), the fleet stopped dead to allow their dovin basals to concentrated on shielding for the time being.

Several Hours before the Battle:

The Miehmsh ships simply appeared in the system, breoadcasting nothing, simply watching and waiting for just one allied fleet to make its appearance...

The Beginning:

The Shamed were apparently the first allies of theirs to arrive, and the Imperials reacted poorly, but that was the Miehmish cue. The Carriers disgorged 280,000 tiny Robot Interceptors, while the rest of the Fighter contingent accelerated to their maximum speeds and prepared to engage the enemy. As they approaced the enemy ships, a massive bell seemed to ring out over the spacewaves, and again, and a third time, and then, on the fourth ring, the grinding strains of AC\DCs Hells Bells ripped through the strictly maintained radio silence.

The massive Task Fleets and Carrier Groups advanced on the Imperial Fleet, and each Fleet or Carrier Group focused on one ship at a time, unleashing every weapon they could bring to bear against a single enemy at a time, hundreds of Yamato Blasts filled space, thousands of Burst Lasers, hundreds of missiles and torpedoes, all concentrated on one ship at a time, surely even the most powerful of Dovin Basals couldn't stop all of that onslaught at once?

Imperial Fleet Actions

"So we have been ambushed, hm? No matter. Yun-Q'aah, Yun-Txiin, turn to engage the enemy on the right flank. Keep their fighters on the defensive. Close to point-blank range and blast the enemy to pieces. Employ dovin basals against their shields." Nas Choka ordered, leaning over his blaze bug display and monitoring the battle. After dealing with the enemy on the right flank he turned his attention to the enemy to his front.

"The enemy ahead of us, Miehm forces, they employ gravitic shields. Lead ships of Yun-Yammka are to employ dovin basals to destabilize them. Yun-Yuuzhan, Yun-Yammka will concentrate fire on the Miehm forces. Crush them. Yun-Harla will deal with the SeaQuestian ships. Employ coralskippers in swarm attacks." He ordered next, intending to leave the rebels for last.

And so the fleet groups immediately carried out his orders. The 480,000 coralskippers of Fleet Groups Yun-Q'aah and Yun-Txiin began to swarm into the formations of Coredian fighters attempting to attack the main fleets. Behind them, the larger ships opened fire on the enemy ships as they closed the distance. Concentrating fire on those ships doing the most damage, the fleets closed as fast as they could.

In the forward section, Fleet Groups Yun-Yuuzhan and Yun-Yammka began to engage the Miehm forces. The larger ships among Yun-Yammka employed their dovin basals to destabilize the gravitic shielding of the enemy ships as the rest of the ships fired against any ship that presented itself. At the same time, the 480,000 coralskippers of the two fleet groups swarmed towards the enemy ships in an attempt to overwhelm their shields and point-defense systems with attacks from all angles.

Yun-Harla Fleet Group turned it's attention to the SeaQuestian ships. Again swarming them with coralskippers, albeit only 240,000. Behind the coralskippers the bigger ships opened fire with plasma cannons, concentrating fire on the largest ships first.

Rebel Fleet Actions

"Yu'shaa, we have identified the flagship. Legacy of Torment, it is the third Kor Chokk in "Yun-Yammka" battlegroup. Shall we transmit data to our allies?"

"Yes, transmit data but do not concentrate our fire on it, yet."

The rebel fleet moved forward to aid it's SeaQuestian allies. The coralskippers moved to engage government coralskippers and the capital ships began to return fire against the enemy.

Particle Disruption Cannon belched actinic fury, while Yamato cannon recharged for another volley. Turbolasers and plasma guns fired in waves against a single enemy, but with the most recent information, every ship changed its target, opening fire on the Legacy of Torment, they would cut off the head of the squadron that was attacking them, and then, they would destroy the rest of their enemies.

The first trick up their sleeve was played. Warp Gates opened, and through them slid the massive forms of the Terran Dreadnoughts, 9 in all, they emerged behind the enemy squadrons menacing the main fleet, along with all 700 of the powerful Protoss Strike Cruisers, much smaller than the Leviathans, but equivalent in power...

As the enemy fire reached the ships, weaknesses in the shields caused by the Basals proved to be unpleasant, plasma gutted entire decks, but those decks were mostly empty of personnel, hardened turrets were shattered by enemy fire, and guns fell silent as they were destroyed... Losses were painful, but they would not give in so easily.

The Battleglobe had its own method of destruction, it unleashed APOLLO. Over 1 million missiles were targetd on a single enemy squadron, enough to hopefully overwhelm enemy defenses, while Grasers sundered space with coherent lances of energy. It was a deadly weapon, restricted to Fleet Engagements, but this certainly qualified...

After all the fighters had been launched, all the capital ships opend up with volley after volley at the enemy capital ships and ignored the coralskippers. The fighters, on the other hand, dove and wove their way skillfully through the capital ships' shots and blasted away at the coralskippers only. The SeaQuestian fighters kept the enemy fighters busy while the SeaQuestian capital ships pommeled away at the rocky hulls of the enemy capital ship analogs.

A few enemy shots weren't vaporized in the shear violence of the return fire and impacted on the side of one of the Sharlins. The ships outer layers of armer melted slightly as the heated projectile cooled. The SeaQuestian E-Webs and Interceptors were getting quite the work-out.

Behind them, the larger ships opened fire on the enemy ships as they closed the distance. Concentrating fire on those ships doing the most damage, the fleets closed as fast as they could.
To deal with the coralskippers, dozens of Lancer antistarfighter cruisers, dozens more of Wolfpacks (one corvette, four gunships), hundreds of fighters, and even expendable probe drones were employed in the fight, backed up by deadlier Victory Star Destroyers as fire support. They utilized mutual fire support to cover all possible firing arcs and angles, with the fighters and drones as dogfighting skirmishers against a backdrop of a literal wall of laserfire thrown from the larger antifighter platforms and VSDs in order to deal with the numerical superiority the coralskippers presumably held over the Coredian forces. Even if they all went down, they'll surely give the enemy fighter wings a nasty beating in the process.

Against the background of countless fighters wheeling and diving, fighting and dying, was Naruto and his Kyuubi Corps, the name given to the 25th Fighter Corps. They were tasked to seek out and aid in the destruction of the Yammosk carriers of the two fleet groups, and to that end, they fought their way through swarms upon swarms of enemies with the assistance of the Force (and chakra for the ninja-minded). Many pilots fell to get Naruto's core squadron to the first carrier, and many more fighters will fall still to destroy it, especially if the Storm of Rage Strike Cruiser task force supporting the fighters weren't able to get to them in time.

In the meantime, though Star Destroyers were weakened and fell by time and firepower, they too sundered the enemy forces with masses of turbolasers, missiles/torpedoes and not a few beamlaser and superlaser blasts from the Artillery Star Destroyers. The Light Side of the Force with her escort Elites concentrated their firepower on the enemy Grand Cruisers and those ships identified as flagships, hoping to take out the top tier of enemy forces as the rest of the fleet works over the other enemy ships.

The fighting was serious and intense, and no end was in easy sight...

Yun-Q'aah + Yun-Txiin Fleet Groups

The fighting was fierce. Many thousands of coralskippers were vaporized by enemy fighters, wolfpacks and even friendly fire as they fought the enemy between the two main fleets. Several other ships, many of them Grand Cruisers were destroyed or disabled by enemy fire, but still the fleets pressed on. Soon they were close enough to begin tugging at enemy shields, first weakening then completely draining the shields as they drew closer. Volley after volley of plasma fire was fired into the enemy fleet.

At the same time four Matalok cruisers, carrying Yammosk war coordinators, were destroyed by Naruto's Jedi and Ninja infiltrators. A few seconds later a marked decrease in coordination between Imperial ships began to be noticed as the loss of the yammosks took effect. Many of the coralskippers no longer attacked as groups but instead flew as individuals with no coordination. Volleys were more erratic and fire less concentrated. Soon some semblance of order was restored as the last yammosks took over the burdern of coordinating both fleet groups, but it was nothing like the coordination of the beginning of the battle.

Yun-Yuuzhan + Yun-Yammka Fleet Groups

"Dread One, the enemy are concentrating fire on our ship! They have identified your position!" shouted a relatively young Supreme Commander over the noise of explosions on the bridge of the Legacy of Torment.

"Bah! The infidels fight with no honour! And yet they do so with a strange elegance... Let it be. I am old and have waited for honourable death for many years..." Nas Choka responded, not even looking at the man.

"But Dread One, you must leave the ship! Without you the fleet will be leaderless!"

"I will go down with my ship... Transfer command to The Warmaster with my best wishes." With that, Nas Choka stood and walked over to the forward viewport and watched the fire pour in. A second later an enemy shot slipped past the ship's dovin basals and vaporized the bridge section. Seconds later the Legacy of Torment was little more than slag floating in space.

Aboard his Matalok cruiser Exquisite Death in Yun-Yuuzhan Fleet Group, Tsavong Lah accepted command solemnly, offering a short prayer to Yun-Yammka to accept the soul of Nas Choka into the afterlife. Speaking to the entire fleet he gave his own orders. "All fleet groups, press the attack! We will be victorious this day. Our enemy grows weak. Press on and we will know victory! Do-ro'ik vong pratte!"

And so, despite the loss of the Supreme Overlord and many vessels, Yun-Yuuzhan and Yun-Yammka Fleet Groups pressed their attack on the Miehm vessels. Fire was concentrated on the largest of the enemy ships, with coordinated volleys from every ship being directed against single vessels - mimicing the enemy tactic and even improving upon it.

Yun-Harla Fleet Group

The fleet group pressed the attack, despite the immense amount of enemy fighters. Mirroring the Coredian "wolfpack" tactic, corvettes and gunships began targeting enemy fighters. The sheer size of the enemy fighter fleet meant that it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Thanks to the location of the coralskippers, enemy fighters had to do more than a little dodging of the crossfire from the bigger ships as well.

Meanwhile, the larger ships (frigate to SSD analog) concentrated fire on the enemy ships, dovin basals tugging at their shields. Losses on this front were heavy as well, but the Imperial Fleet still had an immense advantage in numbers. Yun-Harla Fleet Group, as well as all the others, was composed of 500 capital ships (corvettes and gunships included). With their yammosks intact, Yun-Harla FG was able to perfectly coordinate every volley, every shot, every ship. Even with the addition of the Dweladelfian ships did little to even the strength of the two fleets. Still, it seemed a stalemate might ensue...

Rebel Fleet

Seeing that the Coredian fleet was in the most dire need of aid, the rebel fleet of nearly 700 vessels moved to their aid. Attacking the flank of the Imperial Fleet, the rebels added their own fire to the already withering amount being directed at the enemy. At the same time, aboard Rapuung the Redeemer, "technicians" worked hard to locate the flagship of Warmaster Tsavong Lah. Soon the leadership of the Imperial fleet would be crippled...

There was a great deal of damage to the lighter ships, fighters and gunships were dropping in droves, and the Interceptors were being destroyed faster than they could be replaced, and the damage was mounting to the heavier ships, and the first of the Leviathans was destroyed, taking a pair of gunships with it.

It was time. The Battleglobe had already used its APOLLO, now it was time to show the Vong what happened when three Terran Task Fleets unleased their fury. No less than 192,000 missiles blew through space, and they would detonate well short of their targets, 30,000 kilometers to be precise, unleashing a spread of bomb pumped lasers capable of overwhelming most anything they targeted, and there were scores of missiles targeted on each enemy ship, that was a minimum of 1,000 lasers, all at once, on a single target. The Yuuzhan'Vong would not win.

The Internacionales organized themselves into box formations as hastily as possible (according to standard ND Fleet tactics), and moved to aid the rebels attacking the Imperial flank.

They split into two groups, one led by Law and the other led by Juhziz, and they tried to move to either side of the assaulting force. There, charging up Super Warp Cannons and mixing them with conventional Warp Cannon and Demolisher Gun fire, they proceeded to dump a huge amount of power onto the enemy. It wasn't as numerous as the Miehmish guns, but these Demolishers and Warp Cannons-both cousins, if you will-had great power by themselves, compensating for their relatively small hail of fire.

Volley after volley of plasma fire was fired into the enemy fleet.
"Sir! Shields are draining quickly!" An officer aboard the Light Side cried out.

"Damn! Order all units to expand inertial compensators! That should keep them from taking our shields away!" Admiral Solomon ordered as he recalled the old tactic, but unfortunately, it was too late for several Star Destroyers and Cruisers as they burned and were pocketed with massive plasma-gouged holes, spewing air and crew out into the cruel vacuum. The surviving fleet, less than one hundred and fifty ships by now, began to expand their inertial compensators to prevent the gravitational assault from working and sent the tactic to friendly forces.

In other news, the battle was turning into a brawl as the lead elements of the main fleet smashed into the enemy fleet and battled their way through, slashing hundreds of thousands of turbolasers into the enemy forces. Even the Super Star Destroyer's prow was used to puncture an enemy ship or two at times.

At the same time four Matalok cruisers, carrying Yammosk war coordinators, were destroyed by Naruto's Jedi and Ninja infiltrators. "Kyuubi Corps, regroup and acknowledge!" Naruto ordered. About three fifths of the fighter wing regrouped around the Ninja Master, leaving about 87 fighters out of 144 alive. Damn, that's a lot gone...

Once regrouped, they took advantage of the loss of coordination to root out and destroy the other Yammosk carriers, as Naruto sent a message to all allies forces. "All allied fighters, search for the enemy's war coordinators! Destroy them and the enemy will be disrupted heavily!"

The final yammosks of Yun-Q'aah and Yun-Txiin fleets would get the honor of being shadow bombed by the Jedi and ninja elements of the Kyuubi wing in the process.

At the same time, aboard Rapuung the Redeemer, "technicians" worked hard to locate the flagship of Warmaster Tsavong Lah. Soon the leadership of the Imperial fleet would be crippled...
A message of thanks was sent to the Redeemer as the Coredian Navy redoubled their efforts in wasting the enemy by pouring more reactor energy into their weapons, intensifying the firepower thrown about greatly.

The TIES broke off and started working there way through the enamy capital ships. Starting with the smaller ones and working there way down.

Yun-Yuuzhan + Yun-Yammka FG

The final missile/laser volley proved devastating to the two fleet groups. Most of the smaller ships were completely destroyed, while the larger ones were destroyed or at the very least damaged. The Exquisite Death was struck broadside by the enemy fire and cracked in two. Firing one final shot in defiance, the flagship disintegrated in a fiery explosion. The yammosks of the two fleet groups were also killed and soon both FGs were flying and attacking like chickens with their heads cut off. Nothing was coordinated. It was every ship for itself, a situation which caused more than a few collisions.

Yun-Harla

By far the least damaged of the FGs, Yun-Harla pressed on as best it could, but it was all for naught. When word reached Supreme Commander Da'Gara, third in command of the entire fleet and leader of Yun-Harla FG, of Tsavong Lah's demise he knew the battle was lost. There was little hope of victory now and even if victory could be achieved, the Yuuzhan Vong were leaderless.

Yun-Q'aah + Yun-Txiin

In a repeat of the devastation of Yun-Yuuzhan and Yun-Yammka FGs, both Yun-Q'aah and Yun-Txiin were decimated. Without yammosks the ships fought as hundreds of single ships rather than as a fleet. Add enemy fire from two directions to that and there was complete chaos. Ships were destroyed or disabled at an enormous rate. Many resorted to feeble suicide attacks, but nothing could change the fact that the fleet had been beaten.

Bridge of Harbinger, New Flagship of the Fleet

Supreme Commander Da'Gara watched on helplessly as the fleet was being destroyed piecemeal. Normal practice within the Warrior caste dictated that the battle should continue until there were no Yuuzhan Vong left to fight. Nas Choka's promise, however, changed that. Bound by an agreement entered into honourably, Da'Gara knew that the fleet must surrender.

Slowly he walked to the villip choir on the bridge, taking his time to fully come to the decision to surrender. Finally, he prodded the choir awake and spoke to his enemies. "Enemies of the Yuuzhan Vong; we are beaten. Under other circumstances we would stand and fight, but we gave our word that if we were beaten we would surrender. Our word and our honour are at stake. It is with a heavy heart that I must offer the surrender of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet. A promise is a promise. We are beaten. The Empire is yours, Prophet..."

After a few minutes of relaying the message to all ships, the Yuuzhan Vong fleet stopped firing and stood down. Many commanders and warriors aboard committed suicide rather than face the dishonour of surrender, but the majority saw correctly that there was no honour lost in surrender when it was promised honourably. All told, the Yuuzhan Vong losses (Imperial) were thus:

210 Kor Chokk Grand Cruisers
176 Uro-lk Va'hl Battleships
190 Uro-lk Glu'ta Battleships
111 Miid Ro'ik Cruisers
326 Matalok Cruisers

76 I'Friil Ma-Nat Corvettes
77 Uumufalh Gunships

A cry of "URRAH!" erupted aboard the ND Ships, as banzai chants, the strains of KISS' "I Wanna Rock and Roll All Nite," and champagne and whiskey emerged as the celebrations broke out everywhere. The fascist was defeated; the Internacionales had done their job, and faster than expected.

Losses were counted, 30 altogether were destroyed-half were Pirate vessels, 10 were Mao Zedongs, 5 were various other kinds. Fighters were 500-1,000 dead-not as many were deployed as usual. There were many more damaged ships, and ships that needed refueling and reloading.

Naruto grinned as battle ended. "Well, that ends that."

Tallying up the numbers, Naruto's wing was hit hard, hovering around 65 fighters after the battle concluded. He's going to have to send letters to the families of the fallen, but the wing will recover one day.

Surviving ships include:
1 Super Star Destroyer, Light Side of the Force, 45% damaged
2 Elite Star Destroyers, Ultrasaur and Ankylosaur 48%, 40% damaged respectively.
2 Artillery Star Destroyers
8 Imperial Mark III Star Destroyers
15 Imperial Mark II Star Destroyers
13 MC-90 Star Cruisers (Turbolaser, not Missile)
15 Strike Cruisers
20 Nebulon-B2 Frigates
10 Lancer antistarfighter frigates
24 Wolfpacks

Not one of the survivors escaped unscathed, though.

The losses among the Terrans were heavy, the shields that usually kept them nearly invulnerable had failed them, and the Protoss had carried the day. All in all, it had been a good fight, but repairs would take months, and the destroyed units would take even longer to replace

The Tally of The Fallen:

18 Leviathan Battlecruisers

14,000 Wraiths

540 Genesis Interceptors

463 Scouts

607 Corsairs

202 Legion Gunships

386 Grizzly Gunships

15 Arbiters
