Richard Bedford is running against his rival William Lyon Mackenzie King. The election will take place in November of 1935. Bedford and his party is running against the very popular William King. With a poll so far King has 56% of the popular vote. Only time will tell who wins.

In an historic agreement, the United States and Canada agree to work together to construct the Saint Lawrence Seaway, a project then when completed will make the Great Lakes Region the 4th Coast of North America.

Prime Minister Richard Bedford has agreed to make the Saint Lawrence Seaway. He is very happy to be working with the Americans. The project should be done by 1940. The building should be begin after the race for Prime Minister is done.

Britain's Commonwealth representative, Malcolm MacDonald, states that Britain would be gald to assist the Canadaians in anyway required and offers useage of British naval building methods for a quick and better build than a "homemade" vessel could be. He states that there would be no charge for this useage as long as Canada provided the capital required (essentiallly the build points).

OOC: Basically Britain can offer you teh sue of her drydocks to ensure that a naval vessel can be built for Canada that is of tech level 6 and twice as quick as a home built vessel. Essentiallya a perk of being in the Commonwealth.

Clan's right about the activity. I'm not at all sure Goreing actually is Comstan, however. The activity is circumstantial, and Goreing's grammar is not as bad, actually, and so far I haven't seen the obsessive intercontinental anti-Communism from Goreing that was Comstan's most distinctive feature.

Goreing's on probation, anyway. I refused him entry once (during the Second Great War, I believe) for inexperience, and he got really whiny about it. He's in now only because Sharina wanted to give him a chance.

He's being watched, is all. Comstan knew he was being watched, too, and he screwed up anyway. If Goreing is the same person the same will happen, unless he's learned from his mistakes, in which case he may as well be a different person.

There's only damage you can do with Canada anyway. I mean, really. It's nothing but a Fischer-Price "My First America" set.

This version was written by Wilfred Campbell. Now we have a national Anthem to sing to. In other news the St.Lawerence is starting next month and is suppose to be done by 1940. Canada is being helped by the Americans.
