History:
Children of the Gods; the Satyr's consider themselves a blessed race. They are, above all things, a race of excess; a race that glorifies drinking, dancing, the arts, and the hunting of Nymphs. Yet even these impulsive beings have a society; and as such, the great city was founded; known as Silenus.
Built into a mountain; ringed by forests; the great keep, and its surrounding towns, is their bastion upon the face of the world. Once a month, the great pipes blow; and the Hunt is declared; where the Satyr's chase down Nymphs, as well as beasts, and indulge themselves in lust or violence.
War:
The Satyr's are a cunning people; preferring to strike from the shadows, but should they need to, they will march to war. Swift on their feet; armored typically in either black, or green and brown armors; they conventionally wield bows, along with axes, scythes or swords. They are accompanied by War Pipers; who send forth the grand symphonies of Satyr music, attuned to the noise of conflict.
Economy: Ranging from a barter economy; to a fully fledged system of money; Satyr coins are typically copper, silver or gold; each engraved with the image of a Satyr, typically the leader. Goods such as silks, fine wine; pipes, and weapons originate from the satyr lands; rare and valued finds in the hands of others.
