Cantelmium

Emperor Robert's military grade chopper settled on the roof-top of a Cantelmian airbase. Leaping from the open hatch, he was across the platform before the blade stopped spinning. His swift pace was matched by several aides rushing from the helicopter, talking on phones, calculating numbers and relaying information. Trouble was brewing. In what seemed like only seconds ago, he received the fateful news, the Grand Chancellor of Jordantinople's son had been assassinated by a group of Draconian terrorists.

The Emperor pushed through the roof doors and desended into the military complex. His top generals were gathered in the war room, plans laid out before them.

"Milord, it seems that the Draconian forces have mobilized and that the Grand Chancellor of Jordantinople is preparing to strike. We have two of our CBG's within twenty miles of Draconian coastline and our airforce is on standby."

The Emperor waved his hand, the crisp white cuffs of his suit dismissing the remaining men's voices. His deep green eyes scanned from man to man, settling on the figure of one of his top general's, Lucius Victor. The Emperor locked the man's gaze and with his majestic and commanding tone began,

"Prepare the armies for battle, raise the defenses. Yestarday was the time for words, it is now time for action. Today, Cantelmium rides to war."

The men scattered from the table, barking orders at the other offices, as the Emperor settled into a ivory throne. Using the control panel in the arm of the chair, we lowered an digital map of the Region as well as smaller on-screen images of the Draconian countryside.

As he settled into his command chair, he began to ponder how the banner of a Golden Eagle would look over the Palace of Immortal Dragons.

The weight of a heavy heart came down upon the furrowed brow of the Grand Chancellor. In addition to his sullied robes, his unshaven shadow showed his age for the first time in years. With one hand covering the side of his grave expression and the other run through his fading blonde hair; he sought counsel with the third in command of Jordantinople for his second was lying cold and lifeless below the capitol building.
There were no bows, no royal gestures, only an understanding nod as the Chancellor rose holding a wrinkled sash; indicating the chief position of authority over all his son formerly presided over. He offered the title briefly stating;
"No man should outlive his child. No man."
A short pause overcame the board of leadership, and his prince's memory was proudly honored. But even though the burden lie fully on his mind, the noble Chancellor would not allow it to cloud his vision. He fixed his collar and gracefully moved towards the door to his war room. He swiftly motioned for all qualified parties to join him and bring the Draconians to justice. A new life was breathed into him from somewhere distant, yet familiar. His resolve glowing amber in his eyes, his chiseled jaw and fierce demeanor, his intensity brought from the love he shared with his countrymen. All of which sent him bravely on towards the brink of rage as he let out a roar for all to hear:

"ANY WHO STAND IN THE WAY OF JUSTICE FOR OUR PEOPLE IS OUR
ENEMY. THE DRACONIANS WILL FALL BY MINE OWN HAND."

A large multifunctional marine base located near the Draconian/Jordantinoplan border was a bustling metropolis of activity today when troop deployment rose to an all time high. Several elite units rubbed thick warpaint across their barbaric faces and watched the horizon for any sign of movement. San Algernon seems to be the staging ground for the Ded Offensive, and soon to be supported by the entire AMS.

In other news, the jordantinoplan embassy took heavy fire from draconian guard as choppers lowered to save our countrymen from harm. 14 men were beheaded and left visible on the walls of our national fortress, but due to the valiant efforts of our men and women in arms; 164 citizens were able to be freed from the horrific fate before them.

The most recent activity in the Republic is the introduction of stealth troopers issuing information on the lighter side of Jordantinople and how it is a nicer place to live, their numbers run around 25 per major city. The cruelties of the Draconian reign are being denounced, and another sector of special forces (numbering in around 6 bands of 18 elite men and women each) are targeting key officials in the titan guard. The last activity heard was that explosives were being placed in certain pizza, book publishing, and soda warehouses/stockpiles. As we know of yet no one has been detected.

Max looked out the window of his F15 fighter plane, all around where a black mass of identical jets. Max looked down and gulped, the black mass below him was a hell of a long ways off. Glancing back out the window he say the Blue and Red streak of a Morgian flag as an F15 banked hard to the right and off to the horizon.

Checking the blinking dot that was his aircraft Max adjusted the plane several feet before slowly moving his finger onto the button that would release the precision guided bombs to their intended targets.

As the fleet of planes coasted over Titan bombs were released, sending a jet of firey smoke as they plumeted towards the ground. Smiling to himself and saying a prayer in Morgian, the red button was depressed and the bombs were released from the plane.

Turning his head Max smiled as he saw what he hoped was a military cache go up in a heap of flames.Slowly the jet banked to the left, charting a course for the air craft carrier The Pride of Morgiland.

The airial assault on Immortal Dragons had begun.

Immortal Dragons Border

Choppers had been landing all day, dropping of ammunition and supplies that would keep the some 10 million troops heading into the Draconian state fed.

Planes were coming in left and right on the massive air base, dropping off Tyler class tanks, armoured personel carriers and other assorted machines of war.

Meanwhile the elite pendragon strike teams had allready been dropped at rendevous points, dressed in black camoflauge, assault rifles at the ready.
These teams had been softening targets and taking out strategic military positions inside the Draconian border.

Several Hours later

With the bombing raids still continuing and the dark of night still working in the favour of the allies of the Rajou, the Tyler tanks began to roll. Personel carriers moved out and humvees began to follow, the machine gunners, equipped with flamethrowers were ordered to destroy any crops that they encountered. The land of the Immortal Dragons was not to be sparred. It's had commited crimes against the state, Morgiland would show no mercy.

The army of Jordantinople stands at close to 1.5 million strong due to the recent draft and including police force/reserves. The invasion fleet will begin at 500,000 and will grow increasingly as the war progresses. Armed with anywhere from light mp-5's to 60 cal. rifles with armor piercing rounds my men are gearing for battle. There will be room and board for all capturee(s), but my men will not spare any farmland and/or housing. Except for those who harbor the evildoers the peoplewill be safe. All outposts will be captured and razed, leaving no supplies for the enemy.

9:38 pm 12-12-05. The footsoldiers of Jordantinople cross the border into Draconian lands. Their sights are transfixed on the capitol building, their hearts thirsty for vengeance. Scouts have been taken out along side the route while bombers overhead have been heard screaming through the sky. The first payload was let loose on the last known whereabouts the spec ops teams phoned in for the leader of Draconia. Other military targets were tactically striked in the same fashion. The road to the Imperial Headquarters will be a long one for the footsoldiers of jordantinople due to the lack of automobiles, but old sherman tanks are still in limited supply. The men should reach their first target: one of the outskirt fortress/cities of the nation, within 18 hours, and it will be much faster if they get picked up by any allies to give them a lift. Many leaders have been taken out, none have been identified. They will later be announced upon arrival.

The last gleaming rays of sunlight poured through the windows of the Presidential Estate in the Republic.

Bathed in light was the armchair of the President, in which he sat looking out over the vast lands of the Republic, a nation had made with his own hands.

Behind him, looking at the backside of the armchair, were various military leaders, some known to each other, the Viceroys of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and the pioneering Space Forces. In the darker shadows laid a group of Special Forces corporals.

In the darkest corner of the room, a figure in a black leather trenchcoat and sunglasses looked at no one, and no one knew who he was.

In an outer courtyard waited the captains of industry and commerce that would play vital parts in the war to come.

The figure in the armchair moved, and the silence in the room grew deeper.....

A button was pushed on the left armrest, and a 3D hologram of the Republic descended into the middle of the room.

The armchair turned and the President was revealed to his men. A sharp intake of breath was heard from the Viceroy of the Space Forces, a good friend of the President since the days of the coming of the New World Order. Never had he seen such a look of outrage upon the President's face.

The President stood and his golden-tinged cape shone with a brilliance in the sun's rays that illuminated the previously dark room.

The President, grasping his specter with the national emblem of a dragon clutching an orb of power, a beautifully inlaid piece of gold, silver, jade, diamond, ruby, and mahogany.

Using it as he would a remote, he zoomed in on the hologram to the Jordantinople-Draconian border.

"It. Is. Time." He boomed. As the sun's last rays shone in the room.

And then there was darkness.

Aboard the bridge of the HMS Victoria, Admiral Alexander stood in anticipation as the Elite Air Wing, the Golden Eagles, took off the deck of the Aircraft Carrier. They were instructed to commence air to surface bombing of Titan and surrounding military bases before any ground troops were to move in. He scanned the skies for any enemy aircraft as they took off.

So far so good.

He turned back to the interior of the bridge and watched as his sailors prepared to bring the Victoria, and the rest of the CBG, around to finalize the blockade of Titan and other major Draconian ports. The Admiral was ready for anything as he turned on the intercom, and began his inspirational speech,

"Men, today war begins with the Draconian war dogs. We must fight with all the spirit of the Empire and know that we have the spirit of victory on our side. All Marines, stand by for deployment on the shores. All Sailors, ready the cannons for sea to city shelling. We are going to war boys!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack Lister sat at the head of the Airwing as it finished its final approach of the Capital City of Titan. Below, the immense shrines and temples filled him with momentary awe. Not of an inspirational source, but with a fury knowing that these men were capable of such evil behind that artwork. He signaled his wingman to ready himself, and dove in for the kill.

Salvo after salvo was fired down towards the city as the 72 man Airwing loosed their payloads. Devastation awaited the Draconian people, that much was sure. As the last of his missiles were loose, Lister pulled hard back waiting from above to see what would happen next.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Emperor sat in his ivory command chair, idly fingering his medallion. His eyes were transfixed on the forces he had assembled. On his digital map, a white mass moved up the center, right to the borderlands of the Republic of Immortal Dragons. They positioned themselves for an offensive strike, led by the deadliest infantry force in all the Rajou. These men trained their whole lives to serve the Empire and now it was time to put them to the test. The Cantelmian Army held its position, awaiting further troop movements as the Morgilian mass moved in from the East and the Jordantinoplian Special-Ops forces, located in estimated positions with black dots, began their private assaults.

War has come to the Rajou. Calmly thought the Emperor. The Might of Cantelmium will increase ten-fold before this conflict is over. Of that I am sure. Victory stands by our side, and through this storm we shall arise, stronger than even. The Emperor's spotless white suit, shifted slightly with every breath. He sat on that Ivory Chair, as if he were more than a man. But he was, behind that meticulous hair, the impeccable suit and the probing green eyes, he was something far greater. He was The Emperor.

Beckoning for an attendant, the Emperor grabbed a glass of Merlot from a platter, and sipped it as those commanding eyes narrowed in on Titan.

Soon, she will be mine.

With that, activity burst in the room.

The President called the Viceroy of the Army and bent down from his 8-foot stature to whisper instructions into the ear of the Viceroy that slowly made the Viceroy grin maniacally.

That over, the President glanced with purpose at the man in the black trenchcoat and nodded. The man bowed and left without further adue.

Next, the President called his old friend, the Viceroy of Space Forces to his side. "You shall deal with Morgiland," pointing to the incoming fleet of F-15s.

Of all days to try to erect and airfield. With winds blowing at a work stunting 24 mph at some times during the day. Tents flying away, carts with supplies tipping over in the gusts, it was havoc at the new airstrip. The Army Core of Engineers picked a flat grassy area about 10 miles north of the small Reztlian village of Viola and less than a 3-minuet car ride to the Draconian border for the project. Fixed wing aircraft here could provide strategic precision seek and destroy missions, along with high altitude bombing runs, reconnaissance missions and stage as a launch platform for paratrooper drops. The high brass request that Surface to air missiles be installed here along with a patriot missile system to provide protection against air attacks. The Missiles are being ordered and will arrive shortly. The airstrip is a critical component to the Reztlian war department’s strategy, especially at these early stages of the war. Intelligence is not sure if the Capital city of Titan, or any city for that matter is within range of the airstrip. (OOC: can we get a MAP please?)

2300 hours Dec. 12 2005 – 5,000 infantry units arrive at the airstrip near Viola, from Jordantinople (Under an agreement via wired telegram). The Troops are to train with the 5,000 Reztlian paratroopers there until the strip is done (estimated Dec 13. 2005) the troops will drop deep into Draconian territory and forge a bridgehead at the nearest village. The Reztlian 1st Calvary division of M1A2 Abram Battle tanks will pierce the border and push towards the Bridgehead.

As Jordantinople's troops neared the border city of Anjou, the desert behind them rumbled.

Suddenly, columns of sand shot up from dunes all along the Jordantinoplian supply route.

The Underground Bunkers Had Been Opened

10,000 Elite Draconian Dragoons swept out of the secret bunkers, waving their laser-sighted MX-2.5 with RPG capability.

Quickly, the weak protective screen of one supply convoy was obliterated. Black-clothed Vipers in hand-to-hand combat eliminated the remaining resistance by truck drivers. Vipers, now in control of the captured Jordantinople supply convoy, drove it to the nearest Republic military depot.

The process was repeated in 2 other locations along the supply route to the border.

Many supplies were captured to the aid of the Draconian cause.

The Dragoons moved out to the ridges of dunes and soon artillery pieces were being dragged out of the bunkers. There would be no turning back for the Jordantinople army. Any reinforcements would be meet by the Dragoons, who would as soon as fire in the opposite direction at a retreating army from Anjou.

Jordantinople's army approaching Anjou, as quickly as that, was cut off from supplies and from reinforcements. They were all alone, in strange territory, attempting to take a city not as weak as they thought. Anjou stood ready.

Captain Barbarash of the Space Forces looked down from space station Rigel above Titan.

With his retrofitted telescope, it was possible to see the Morgiland's Air Force sweeping past the border towards Titan.

Buckling into his X-35, he commanded "Launch" to the X-35 squadron. In less than a minute, the magnetic accelerator had launched all twelve X-35s from Rigel into the high atmosphere.

On his radar screen, the air craft carrier The Pride of Morgiland dead in his sights.

"This is it, fellas. Let them rip."

On the bridge of The Pride of Morgiland twelve new vessels appeared on radar in a direction no vessel should appear from. ABOVE.

With no warning, the twelve X-35s launched their missiles at the air craft carrier, while anti-aircraft gunners swiftly tried to get the squadron within their sights.

Twelve fireballs is all they looked like. They were coming in fast and coming in hot. They couldn't be stopped. And they were gone as quickly as they came.

Titan stood the bombardment of the first day of war well.

Morgiland's bombers had poor aim throughout the first day, destroying mostly parks, theatres, non-essential infrastructure.

Two mustard gas tanks exploded on the eastern edge of Titan, but firefighters managed to contain the damage while personnel were evacuated from the toxic area and recieved treatment.

Killed were 5,000 Draconian guards, unluckily gathering in Titan Square. 25,000 civilians killed or wounded.

In a ironic twist of fate, Morgiland's first bomb toppled the statue to Emperor Cantelmo.

Civilians had been evacuated into the countryside early in the day, although civilian is a class that would not last long in this war.

Cantelmium's forces, being the most fiercesome and accurate, blasted apart one house of the national Congress, but this has just increased bipartisan support for the war effort.

Also the national basketball arena where the Draconian Devils beat the Jordantinople Jokers 184-0 was destroyed.

The first martyr to the cause of liberty was Senator John Lennon, who's last words were "Roll over Beethoven, the world's a toppling over". John Lennon was a particularly loved Senator.

If the underhanded declaration of war was not enough, the losses of the first day of war has solidified the will of the people to fight for liberty.

600,000 Draconians well versed in the martial arts of YaBaBimBom as well as more moden forms of war such as rifle shooting, (both national pasttimes), stand ready for the Jordantinople troops.

Further military training of the former civilian population is carried out by green-clad Lizards.

Trenches have been dug around the city using heavy machinery and explosives. Roads have been upturned. Buildings felled. Artillery placed.

Fortifications have been built along the canal to Titan.

The port city of Betelgi upon the mouth of the canal is having a parade as December 13 is a date well remembered in the Republic, it was the day a tall man, a slave, stood up and said No More, leading his people out of bondage during the great upheaval of the New World Order.

Barges can be seen changing the underwater landscape on the route to Betelgi, dumping waste, excess sand, etc. to make the water too shallow to be navigable beyond bombing range of the city. In essence they are creating new sand bars and barrier "reefs".

High loses are expected if the Cantelmium fleet attempts to push through and approach the coast.

In other locations where the water is left navigable for Republic purposes, remote-controlled mines have been placed.

And in the deep, below the waves, the sound of a sonar bleep is heard.....

.....To be echoed by a chorus of other bleeps.

An advance submarine attack squad attacked the Cantelmium fleet at 6:00AM this morning, while guard was down during breakfast aboard the fleet.

Jordantinople's troop movements have been under close watch in the last 48 hours.

The arrival of 5,000 infantry at the Reztlian villlage of Viola has been noted.

In the war room, the President calls a Special Forces captain to his side.

"Reztles must be shown that no ally of Jordantinople will find mercy at Draconian hands."

---------------------------------------------------------

Winds are still high, 30 MPH, at 5:00AM around Viola. The sky is grey, a false dawn, as the sun has not reached the horizon as of yet.

A hugemogous grey glider swoops from mountaintop to mountaintop, catching gusts of wind, and carrying a deadly payload. It makes no noise....and more importantly, being made of wood and other such primitive materials, no radar signature.

From the glider oblomng objects fall as the rat-tat-tat of semi-automatic fire fills the air. These containers hit the new airfield and burst. They are fulll of tar. Coming around for a second run, C-4 is dropped, and denotated by remote control.

(LAST NIGHT)

Jack Lister saw the fireballs descend from the sky over the Pride of Morgiland and was awe-struck. However, when the X - 35's slowed down, enough to begin their aerial assault, he realized them for the were. Enemey Aircraft.

Signaling to his wingmen, the Airwing made an overarching arch towards the fighters, refusing to let the Morgiliand aircraft carrier be harmed without a fight. Their missile payloads may have been gone, but it was time for an old fashion dogfight. Sure, our losses will probably be greater, but there's no way I'm letting these things survive a scrap! Thought Lister as his first shots grazed the side of the lead X-35. But damn! They're fast!

(THIS MORNING)

Admiral Alexander was awakened to shouting as the men aboard the HMS Victoria made an effort to stop the flames. While they had slept, the Draconian submarine forces made an attack on the CBG and, while they were being matched now, the initial damage was devestating.

The Admiral leaped up stairwells and pushed down hallways to reach the Bridge, where he was confronted with chaos. 6 Cantelmian Vessels were alight with flame and the sea exploded with shelling as the main ships of the fleet attempted to bombard the ocean depths where the Draconian sub's were located. Every so often, oil and fire would rise to the surface, but the Admiral knew, they would escape before to much damage could be done. He slammed his fist vowing to never let such a mistake happen again.

OOC: Just so this can flow more smoothly (and in terms of in-character we SHOULD have an idea anyway) can all participating nations post their FULL armed forces on The Rajou forum, just so no one disputes whats going on. As noted in the immortal dragon's post. The winds at the time of attack on Viola were about 30 mph. The Wooden GLIDERS droping fire-type weapons on the Airstrip under construction were very inaccurate as most of there battle was staying aloft. Also the Airstrip contains only a couple Patrols of Army Engineers and the garrison of 10,000 paratroopers. (5,000 of which are the Jordantinoplians who arrived last night.) No planes were on site, and buildings and hangers were few and still being constructed.

The bombs dropped landed on the airstrip, which is still a flat dirt runway. several small craters will require filling before use. tall grasses around the runway did catch fire and regrettably 8 Army engineers and 1 Air-Wing cook died in the attack while trying to suppress the flames.
Also 2 tents containing food supplies burned, and one stack of bondo intended for the Abram Tank division (when they arrive) was destoryed.

It is estimated that several of the gliders did not make it home due to adverse weather conditions. however Intelligence has yet to conferm this.

Men have been working all night reparing the craters and finishing the hangers.

5 X-35s were shot down during the attack runs on the carrier The Pride of Morgiland

These 5 decided to draw fire off the rest of the squadron and managed to take down 27 F-15s with them, using their superior speed and explosive exhaust trails among conventional air-to-air missiles and regular ammunition.

The remaining 7 took evasive action and boosted themselves back into low orbit to be picked up by Rigel.

Jack Lister gently brought his ship into an approach towards the HMS Victoria, thinking about the events that had transpired in the last few hours. He had been a leading attacker in the dogfight against the Draconian X-35's and had witnessed firsthand the damage the could do.

They should never have tried to engage such a technologically superior force, but Lister would not dare allow the Morgilian people to suffer casualties if he could do anything about it. For the first minutes, the dogfight turned out to be a massacre. 13 Cantelmian fighters were ripped apart in the battle before they could even begin to devise a strategy to combat them. However, a lucky shot landed into the cockpit of one of the X-35's and it spiraled away towards the earth below. This gave the pilots new vigor and they continued the dogfight until nearly half of the attack force had been wiped away. While the Morgiliand fleet did suffer substantial damage from the initial attack, they were spared the brunt on the force when the fighters engaged them. 7 of the X-35's pulled into the upper stratosphere and escaped from the Cantelmian fighters, but 5 enemy casualties was a tremendous victory in Lister's mind. Their own casualties were far worse, in the end 27 F-15's were shot down in the skies of Draconia. Lister's own wingman was shot down and he was forced to fight through the grief of his partners death.

As he settled onto the deck of the Victoria, he mentally prepared himself for the debriefing he would receive and pondered his next assignment.

In the sea bordering Betelgi contains 60 submarines, though 1 a day are coming out of the factories of Titan and floating down the canal. Submarine factories are built into the cliffside above and underwater at the western edge of the canal at Titan.

My navy is totally submarine, except for 3 coastal bombardment trimaran destroyers.

The submarines are of all makes, from non-nuke ICBM subs to small aircraft carrier subs (OOC: re: WWII: some Jap submarines launched aircraft off their decks. In MT and the size of submarines today, I believe small aircraft carriers are possible. Say I have 3 of those, capable of housing 2 squads each.)

The pre-war elite army of 100,000 has been boosted to 800,000 due to the rapid call to arms, with more citizens expected to answer the call.

As a result, 700,000 are fresh recruits. Specialization of troops to come in later post.

Anjou's population has also been completely militarized, but they form a separate army group.

Drillbit armored personnel carriers number 20. (They had limited ability to burrow underground like gophers and travel that way in some forms of terrain, such as desert sand)

Tank strength is minimal/non-existant. Say <10. All tanks available are being used in Anjou.

Full X-35 strength is around 3 squadrons (36-5=31 remaining X-35s), based in the Republic's two small space stations, Rigel and Siru, but replacements/reinforcements are expected due to the success of their first military venture. Rigel and Siru also have some limited missile capacity.

The air force is taking 100,000 new recruits to complement its peacetime strength of 100,000, turning out 50,000 paratroopers and an airforce with at the moment 956 aircraft of various makes.

OOC: Something along those lines?
OOC: There's seems to be a huge disparity in military size between you guys. Morgiland I understand with its 881 million, but Jordantinople has an army of 1.5 million where Cantelmium has 117,000? And what size army does Reztles have?

To correct yesterday's less than successful strike on the airfield at Reztles, new tactics were employed.

It was an indirect attack. Paratroopers and supplies were dropped on an adjoining mountaintop upwind from Viola. 187 of the 1100 paratroopers were killed or wounded jumping in such adverse wind conditions.

The main body of the paratroopers set up a defensive perimeter to resist attack from Viola while some unboxed the supplies that had landed with the troops.

Corporal Yoshi hacked into the wooden frame with the butt of his MX-2.5 and uncovered the container of mustard gas. He held a whistle to his mouth and blowed, the cue for his paratroopers to don their gas masks.

Yoshi directed his platoon to carry the mustard gas containers directly into the wind, which was still harshly blowing into Viola.

When all the mustard gas containers were set, Yoshi blew his whistle into his radio a second time and fired his MX-2.5 at the container, blowing it up.

As the 20 containers blew up, the wind swiftly carried the yellow gas into the valley, descending upon the airfield and the combined Retzlian and Jordantinoplian troops.

The paratroopers then readied their RPG-equipped MX-2.5 to prepare to fire on any choppers or aircraft attempting to launch from the airfield, either to attack or flee.

I ONLY said that I shot them down in my post because it's an IC response from a "character" I didn't make up the figures, you gave them to me. You can't go back and alter posts to say that I basically didn't do anything. The edit's in a war thread are really for typo's ONLY, but perhaps we shouldn't use them at all if people are going to be unfair. Immortal Dragons, I would appreciate if you reverted the post in question back to what it origionally said because the new one isn't how it happened.

"EXTRA EXTRA!!!! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!!" the boy on the corner of main street in Reztles, the capital, screams. crowds of business men bustle by. A customer stops by to throw the boy a quater Denarii in return for the paper.
He quickly flags down a cab. While sitting he turns his paper to the front and reads...

"Viola Airbase Gassed
Viola - Early this morning, an alarm rings out into the red dawn. It was the Biohazard Alert, it was sounded by the sentry who saw a yellow mist roll down the mountains acrossed the near border of the Immortal Dragons (OOC: b/c i dont have mountains near Draconia,so say you landed on a mountain on your side).
The alarm rang and awoke the garrision and exhasted Core of Engineers who were up all last night finishing the base. The paratroopers ran and donned there gas masks as they were trained to do. The Unarmed innocent Engineers however were not ready for such travestys. 1,200 Non-combat unit deaths were reported and hundreds more sent to hospitals in Reztles. The Federate General will make a speech tonite about the transpired events. His aide when questioned at the press conference this morning said that the general only swore that When the Draconian fate is in the hands of the Federation this day will be remembered. And all Unarmed bystanders in The republic sleep with one eye open, for clemency from Reztles is now unheard of. Use of Weapons of Mass desruction agenst former allies, even ones at war is absurd. Let the Titans fear the day Tura Dawlin's patience wears thin enough to sink that low."

The armies of the Imperial Dragon decimated many of the Jordantinoplan troops as they marched onward. No trucks or vehicles were damaged, seeing as the automobile industry has been outlawed and just recently allowed freedom. 84,000 men and women were slaughtered by the guerrilla tactics played out by the titan armies. The rest of the army is left with rations equalling enough to survive a few days and rage to carry them through the city they set their gleaming eyes on. On the other hand, about 400,000 troops did make it to the city unscathed (and ooc we need to decide what happened). ALSO, the special forces squads in his cities spreading propadhanda, targeting officials, and planting explosives havent been sitting on their hands. another thing that happened was the air assaults of Jordantinople that were completely unaddressed by Draconia. (ooc, was their mission a success or are you going to invent some way of randomly stopping it completely. and how many cities do you have.)

and finally the atrocious WMD's used by the imperial order, have sparked a new war. A viscious one that will harbor no quarter for the Draconian Terrorists. Nuclear equipped stealth bombers have been sent out (without your knowledge) and have dropped payloads of nukes in each of your precious cities. (OOC, you have ten minutes to respond. if you dont their mission was a success, if you do then we can figure out what happened with the defender gaining favor.)

"Weapons of Mass Destruction?" The Emperor sternly asked his aide as he received the newest report from the front. He had heard about a mustard gas assault on the Reztlian and Jordantinoplian troops, and then of a nuclear strike against major Draconain cities.

"This has to be put to an end." The Emperor rose from his Ivory chair and began to slowly walk out to the moonlite balcony. He idly played with the few short whisps of hair that fell over his forehead, as green eyes probed into the flashes of light to the north. The tight suit conformed to his body, accentuating every muscle and every movement he made. This war, his war was become dangerously close to the edge. It was time to use his coup de grace.

Turning his back to the night sky, he looked at his young aide. She nervously bit on her pencil, averting her eyes from the Imperial Majesty of her master. The Emperor approached her and cupped her chin in his hand, raising it to meet his bold gaze.

"Andrea, fear me not," He said in an angelic voice, "Soon this wretched war will end, and the Rajou will once again benefit from my gracious leadership." She trembled at his touch and nodded slowly. Robert never missed a beat, he continued without even a blink,

"Send word to whatever leadership remains in Titan, or any city for that matter. Every Governor who surrenders to me shall have his family sparred from the fury of The Rajou. Also, if the President still lives, inform him that his best chance for survival will result from his surrender to me and that an unconditional surrender is the only kind we will accept." The Emperor paused to let Andrea finish her note taking. A small grin creeped onto his face as he finished. "Let him know, should he refuse, I will unleash the full wrath of The Rajou on him, and millions will die for his vanity." Andrea stopped for a moment, locking eyes with the Emperor, then hurridly nodded and went to send the message out. Robert turned back towards the stars, and let that grin grow to a full smile.

Tonight, I shape the world.

The President sat heavily in his armchair in the war room.

Nuclear deployment on the second day of war was unheard of, even in the formation wars of the New World Order.

Anjou, Betelgi, Titan, Achilles' Heeldom, Suttonia, Herculian....all suffered from nuclear bombardment. The population of the Republic was decreased to 10 million. Ten cities were hit within city limits, resulting in 6 of the 8 million deaths. Suttonia is gone.

However, now that the war has taken this drastic turn, citizens will now make great use of bomb shelters.

The STRONG economy of the Republic is turning out radiation suits for the surviving population, so life can go on, not normally, but go on in the Republic.

OOC: Alright, I didn't want to lose that many ppl, but that's more realistic. However, in response to Reztles, the cities were devastated but more ppl were killed in the long-term than by the blast itself. I think ppl dead from the bomb numbered in the thousands, but millions were hit by the radiation.

The President has declared a state of emergency and assumed legislative powers.

The Mayors of Anjou and Herculian were also assasinated. Many other Mayors and city governments are not responding after the nuclear bombardment....casualties will be tallied in the morning when reconnaisance teams check out all major cities

An attempt on the life of the Viceroy of the Navy was halted by a man in a black trenchcoat.

The Viceroy of the Space Forces seemed to be a especially sought after target of Jordantinople Special Forces, after the X-35 attack on Morgiland's fleet. He is now in Titan's VIP hospital, being treated for gunshot in his abdomen.

Snipers have pinned down soldiers on the front lines in Anjou. Demolitian teams in Anjou have also cleared many roads for the incoming army. Fortifications have been breached.

More casualty reports in the morning, but it's difficult to tell where nuclear war ended and special forces begin

The Alarms blared.
Launch in T minus 15 seconds

Red lights whirled around the Silo as the count down spirled towards zero. The monitor in the control room showed the Silo roof. Slowly the Gates opened to reveal the clear starry night above.

T minus 3 Seconds

Smoke pours from the base of the V2 Rocket and it began to lift of the ground. As the Rocket and 9 others around it rose into the night sky the technians watched fingers crossed on the monitors.
The Camera was relaying grand images of the sky, the great constallations of The Big bear, and Bootz and Orion, The Hunter. As the lights of the base fade behing the rockets a blue curve can be seen where once was a stright horizion. The air became thinner, and lighter and the rockets had to burn more of ther own O2 for fuel as the atmosphere ceased to provide O2 for them. Once broke free of the earth's gravity there targets came to view in the Monitors. The Draconian space stations Saiph and Rigel. 5 V2s for each. as several rockets pulled right for Saiph the other locked on Rigel. The station was small on the screen at first but quickly grew larger. The Scientists and generals and technicans all held there breath. They drew closer... bigger and bigger AND BIGGER!!!!!

*Static from the screens of both Saiph and Rigel V2s*

The potential impact made the image frozen; half snowy interfeance and half last image...a last image of a Dragon. and under the insignia stated

"Space Station Rigel"

The Techs didnt know right away if there run was successful. But they had a feeling...

Towrds the End of WWII Wernher von Braun, a german scientist, devleoped the V2 Rocket. V2's differed from other missles from the time because V2 had to carry liquid O2 because the flew in the upper straosphere were they cross the english channel and desend apon London. (From deep withim Germany mind you) If a V2 could most diffentaly break orbit, as a matter of fact the first U.S Space rockets (beofore the Saturn V's) and many of the soviet space rockets WERE in fact larger V2s.

The force will be guarded by 5 squadrons of F-22 Raptors, equipped with point-defense lasers to shoot sown incoming missiles.
As for ground forces, Sol Giuldor's army will deploy in Jordantinople, if he has no objection to this.
Black Ops have infiltrated the Titan facility, and are planning to blow all of the sam sites up at exactly 3:29 today, to minimize air losses. Sol Giuldor will have victory...

Morgiland
15-12-2005, 02:53
Morgian casualties had been realatively low, but the failed attack on The Pride of Morgiland had angered the Morgian forces and they had begun to thrust forward, still holding onto to their scorched earth policy.

Gun fire was almost a constant in Anjou as the infantry men began to take over small chunks of the city. Spreading propaganda and systemactly removing all Draconian forces in the area.

Bombing continued on all areas of the dragon, sending a constant barrage of missiles careening into the bunkers wich had been identified by the U2 spy plane.

Heltian Air Force base, Heltan Province

Five stealth bombers rolled down the run way, news had reached them about the possible location of the presidential bunker in Titan. Tucked away inside were 15 nuclear bombs. The planes took off with little dificulty, Morgiland was about to strike back.

Lights loomed far below the stealths, the pilots glanced at their crew and together rose several hundered feet higher. Then with a woosh the bombs were released on Titan. Could the city and its president withstand the 15 weapons that were now plummeting towards it?
Immortal Dragons
15-12-2005, 04:09
So Morgiland has nukes too?

Much off Titan's population had been evacuated earlier in the day, the government now realizing that urban centers of population were now totally unstrategic.

OOC: As far as I knew, only Jordantinople was attacking Anjou, Morgiland? So I'm not responding to that......And fine, my X-35 attack on your carrier had no damage? Not cool.

13 nuclear bombs dropped from 5 Morgiland sleath bombers were intercepted by air-to-air missiles from the 4 squadrons of F-15s currently in the air defending Titan. 2 hit the ground in areas already destroyed by Jordantinople's previous assault. OOC: Beating a dead horse there....it's already rubble

Space station Siru recieved a satellite launched from the vicinity of Betelgi. It carried a payload of dirty bombs, extracted from the Republic's uranium mines in the rain forest district.

The X-35 Rogue Squadron, so equipped with dirty bombs, launched for a new attack on The Pride of Morgiland. 2 X-35s kamikazed into the Morgiland carrier to make sure their dirty bombs struck home. 2 others dropped from above. The other 8 engaged aircraft protected the 4 X-35s dropping bombs with a protective screen of 48 F-16s flown in from an airfield at Betelgi.

OOC: Morgiland, PLEASE don't tell me that dirty bombs have no effect on your carrier, come on now.

30 submarines joined the pursuit and launched a torpedo attack during the dirty bomb onslaught above the waves. 10 submarines attacked the aircraft carrier while 20 made another attack on the Cantelmium fleet.

10 submarines and 3 trimaran coastal bombardment destroyers used this attack to sneak by both fleets and attack coastal cities in Cantelmium, Retzles, and Morgiland.

The port city of Reiem's naval facilites were targeted by the 3 trimarans and 2 missile subs. The other 8 subs (including 2 of the 3 sub aircraft carriers) are exploring the Cantelmium-Morgiland coast, launching missiles at any settlements they find.

OOC: can you guys give me names of cities and other such specifics to attack in your countries?
Immortal Dragons
15-12-2005, 04:25
The air war over Titan lessening for a time, 100 choppers lifted off for the city of Anjou.

Here Jordantinoplian soldiers with Retzlian troopers have approached the outer defenses. Choppers have landed in Jade Park in the middle of Anjou.

Here choppers picked up more armaments such as wing-mounted machine guns and some air-to-surface missiles. After this, choppers were deployed past the outer defenses and attack various groupings of infantry and paratroopers out of reach of artillery fire from the front lines.

In a mighty push, the 400,000 surviving Jordantinoplian army pushed into the eastern fringes of Anjou, gaining a base about 10 blocks wide and 20 deep.Anjou's citizens employ a slash-and-burn retreat, leaving no provisions for the incoming army. Intelligence reports they have 3 days left of rations. These blocks were not given up easily, and Draconian Dragoons have made a habit of blowing up the foundations of buildings so that they topple over on Jordantinoplian troops. Or just blowing them up in general.

Conventiently, the Republican command in Anjou has formed a new defensive perimeter on the western edge of the nuclear crater formed by Jordantinoplian assualt earlier in the day. It will be treachous terrain for Jordantinoplian soldiers to cross and attack from.

Using chopper cover, 200,000 infantry crossed the nuclear crater to attack the Jordantinoplian perimeter.

5) YOU CANT INTERCEPT NUCLEAR MISSLES!!!! unless ...MAYBE if you ahd patriot anti missle defenses, and even then...HELLO!!! its a NUKE!!! the entire area above your city, (and it would be above your city unlees you stationed dfense in the middle of the desert(which you deff didnt)) All electronic savings accounts and non-liquid money is gone,a long with ALL computer data from the Electro static pulse.

6) Even the japs withdrew after being nuked and they were fucking nuts, its not realistc that this war is even contiuning

7) This isnt fun, Orion yor a good kid, but you suck at role playing.( or maybe we just have 2 totally diffrent views of Role playing)
This war was ment for you too lose. It sounds horrible but it was 4 on 1, we were bored and thought that it would be interesting to Role play, but it was so obveioiusly not meant to go this long, we would role play the war, the defeat, the occupation, and some grand plot that re-entered your nation into society much better off, then we would gang up on some one eles or roleplay some other Regional Travesty. Its just not fun with you manifesting random shit that dont make sense, (you have a great immagation, im not knocking it) but this just its why im playing.

Mind you, Imperial Dragons, I would like to advise you that nuclear fallout means that your infantry and choppers are now extremely ill from radiation poisoning. So is your defensive line. Radiation suits are not workable and impractical, and are easily pierced by shrapnel.

Sorry Kevin that you feel that way

This is OOC
Regarding Complaints

1) I don't see why if even a dirty bomb is a tiny briefcase nuke that it can't be launched from a plane even still. Just put in the warhead of a air-to-surface missile. And a tiny nuke is all I need for a target such as an aircraft carrier.

2) I stated yesterday or the day before (post #25) that I had 60 subs, that being the bulk of my navy, with less than 10 above-surface ships. I thought that ok with Cantelmium's fleet of 72 and so on. I also stated 1000 aircraft, perhaps too many in your eyes, but no one made a fuss of it then, so I used them in later attacks. Of those 1000, I've only used about a 100 in any attack so far.

3) I had no clue where your port was...I just knew it was across the water. Re: lack of map and distances involved.

4) Where am I withdrawing troops from?

5) Don't nukes only detonate on impact? If you blow them up before impact, prematurely, my reasoning was that they'd just explode conventionally. But where did Morgiland get nukes all of a sudden? I want to challenge that before I change any damage report there.

6) I just don't want to surrender, especially not after 2 days or so. I figured I still had half my population, some of my cities, and parts of my army (though I should include military casualties from nuclear attack) to keep fighting with. Would the US just roll over to the USSR if they used nukes on us? I don't think so. I think the military would keep fighting till the last man.

Also, I thought the war would be more fun dragged out.

Regarding Nuclear Fallout
And nuclear fallout....that's the only thing I don't know how to respond to. But wouldn't that also effect anyone trying to attack me in all these radioactive areas? Radiation suits would be unpractical but I do think I said I evacuated large portions of my remaining city population into the countryside. And in Anjou, I believe nuclear fallout would effect both armies equally. We can figure that out later.

V-2 Space Station Attack

And yeah, I hadn't responded to your attack on my space stations yet. Rigel had been in lower orbit than Siru, the better to launch X-35s for ground assualt. With that reasoning, Rigel's missile defenses had less time to defend itself against the V-2s. As a result, Rigel is barely functioning and launch facilities have totally been shut down. Rigel is no longer a threat. Lost were its fleets of X-35s. X-35 strength is down from 36 to 14.

However, Siru had more time to prepare to defend itself. It also launched all its X-35s, 14 of them remaining, to engage the 5V-2s.

I thought this scenario realistic especially since there were only 5 V-2s for each station. With 14 X-35s and missile defenses, it is probable with the orbital distances involved that I would be able to get them before they reached Siru. Especially with advance warning from Rigel.

Anyone having fun?

However, if no one's having fun......but I don't like how you expect me to roll over and die...especially since only Jordantinople has actually invaded my country, and they're huddled down in one city, at the moment.

Cantelmium's fleet is just hanging out on the ocean there, I don't think they've actually attacked me yet. Their aircraft have though.

Morgiland's says it's been bombing my cities, ok, but I can survive that. Battle of Britain, no?

And Retzles, the only attack you've made on me is to drop paratroopers near Anjou, and launch a battleship.

The real big thing is the nuke attack, and I think it possible to keep fighting through that. I lost 10 million people. but still 20 cities, 15 nukes. I suppose more than 1 nuke was sent to Titan. So I figure I have 7 unscathed cities, Titan's one-quarter-non-toxic, the air force lost 200 aircraft, President's alive and has declared martial law to save government control. Underground facilities are still somewhat functional in the city.

Herculian, one of the unscathed cities, are manufacturing anti-aircraft turrets for Titan. 5 were delivered today, protecting the Presidential Estate.

Jordantinoplian Special Ops forces have been defeated. (OOC: did we agree to that Jordan? I'm not sure.)

I lost 287,856 Draconian Guards/Dragoons in the nuclear assualt. Anjou lost half of its population, down to 300,000. It would have been more but parts of the city were off-limits from attack to protect Jordantinoplian soldiers in the city. OOC: Or do you want to make Anjou a nuclear battleground? Makes things difficult for the both of us. I'll let you decide.

Special Forces are attempting to infiltrate the higher ranks of the Cantelmium government for espoinage and assassination purposes.

But tell me if you other guys are having fun. It's only a game. And I hope Kevin that this addresses at least some of your grievances.

I'll admit this is the first time I've played a roleplaying game.

A) When did you send these special forces into my country? It's ok if you just decided this, but it's the first that I'm hearing of it. If you can show me an UNEDITED post of this information, I'm cool. Otherwise, lets say they just attempted infiltration now.

B) What current attacks am I responding to?

C) For everyone sake, NO MORE editting posts in this thread. You decide EVERYTHING you wanna do BEFORE you post. You forget/screw up? Too Bad. That goes for everyone.

((OOC: I picked a random city, I have no clue where any of the Immortal Dragons cities are located so I picked one. Could we get some clue about where they are I.E. Eastern Immortal Dragons, Western, Central?))

The young boy stood on one of the numerous street corners of Vidava, holding the paper in one hand while taking the money from a group of anxious looking business men.

"Morgian bombing shifts to Herculian, 250 bombing raids a day! Key production Facilities up in smoke!"

King Tyler read the paper in the war room with a smile as he sipped his morning coffee.

"Up the attacks, Send out the stealth bombers again, I want them in with another raiding party.Hide them in the center until they reach the city, I want to lay wast to Herculian.Make sure they have a fair number of escorts as well."

The monarch nodded to his son, a general in the air force who left quickly, his black boots hitting the granite floor as he hurried to relay the orders.

"I want our submarines out in full force admiral, take out any and every Draconian ship they can. Wether it be Civilian or Naval."

Tyler nodded to the Admiral in charge of his navy and then inquired about the Pride of Morgiland .

"Minimal damge to the ship its self, but the crew has take subtantial hits. We've removed it from the fight for now. We have dispatched another two carriers in its place."

Tyler nodded silently before leaving the officers to themselves.

OOC:ok. i've been quiet for the past 24 hours because i've been sick, but i'm back to say some stuff. Now to get to business...

IC- this is to the Immortal dragons, my special forces weren't defeated they were extracted or not found and still on the loose killing you. We can work on figures of how many were captured/killed but for as many as i had in your country there is NO way they were all defeated. Especially if they are the backbone of my army and they are where i spend most of my money for training. and did the massive propaghanda i was spreading do Anything?
-Regarding the Anjou assault, that was a travesty on my part because i forgot that i had men assaulting there when i nuked it. My bad, im not gonna edit my post i'm just gonna say i made a big mistake and jon stewart will make fun of me on the daily show. the remaining troops i had left after the assault on my supply lines were beaten on heavily and because of the harsh terrain/street to street warfare i lost another 120,000 men approxiamately. To top that off, the nuclear holocaust has cost half of the population left over reducing my manpower in anjou to around 150,000 men. But these men have been issued a decree from the highest ups that they can do WHATEVER they want now. They are allowed to rape, pillage, torture, and/or do these things at the same time. They have been set free on your land and their main orders are to break away from structure and infiltrate the whole country as insurgents. They are suffering from sickness from the fallout as well and their children will be very warped or disfunctional. That is why they are impregnating every SINGLE female they find and will let these freaks loose on your people. They're still subbordinates of my army, but are under different law as payment for screwing up. They have also been issued PCP, or angel dust mixed with crack cocaine to numb the pain, and give them fighting edge. This was bought and paid for if you want the link ill show you.
- Another 250,000 men and women fighting for the good of Jordantinople deployed and cross the border and on top of that i am training another 250k how to paradrop, and i am building transport planes as well just fyi.
-OOC, morgiland had nuclear weapons before my nation was even born, just so you know. They actually inspired me to build them and the last that i know of they have 4 nuclear reactors while i only built one.
-and the listing of my cities (there's Nine.) goes as such(according to closest to the border of draconia, they form a diamond shape pattern with jordantinople in the center like a baseball field):
-Ter Amor (right on the border)
-Fael Goria (on the left)
-Fael Doria (on the right)
-Masre Kator (on the left)
-Masre Phebotor (on the right)
-The Holy City of Hector (mid left)
-The Holy City of Heironeous (mid right)
-The Port City of Razh Teal (Top)
-The Metropolis of Jordantinople (Center)
-Jordantinople is a mountainous country, but many areas are full open plains in between. It is very hot, and very humid. To many it is inhospitable, but to the Jordantinoplans it is beautiful. Wide open skies are met with picturesque forests and rainforests of beautiful colors. No one knows how these environmental anomalies happen but some say it is the will of the gods. These beautiful oasis are few and far between but are all the center of each city. There are 3 rivers that run through Jordantinople; The Kas Mahoria- (meaning the fallen star) because it runs and ends in an area the people have been forbidden from travelling to, it is located to the northwestern region of The Holy City Of Heironeous but is very far off and unused. The Frolin Ganas (meaning the life giver) because it cuts the nation in half forming a moat around Jordantinople that was established when the Capitol was founded, it runs through Ter Amor, Jordantinople, and Razh Teal. And the third The Harbin Flangori (meaning the abandoned flower) because it dried out many years ago when the deforestation of this area caused the Heu Ma orchid to perish, causing distress because this was the only cure for athlete's fungus we had in Jordantinople until we found that a day in the sun dries it out this is located at the land we call Fael Goria. Any place other than a city will be too harsh to travel through without proper provisions, and even so will slow any troop movement. But in the beautiful and lavish cities men and women move freely do to the oasis' and streams about.

Just fyi for the Immortal Dragons,
even though your men are going to fight harder, they are sickened from the radiation. They are unrestful because of your crimerate all though you have police on the streets all the time. Also the propaghanda placed into your land HAS to have had a impact especially with those of your people who already hate you. They are having to burn their own land down and get away from bloodythirsty maniacs who have been mutilated and disfigured from nuclear reactions. They also have to watch these brutes rape their women as well. And another thing, these guys are starved, and on drugs that impair judgement/feeling, speed up reaction, and they are Severely unhinged and ready to kill anyone. They are looking for food but will eat your men when they kill them, they won't be so easy to kill. I give most of them a week to survive, but some will survive out of the 120,000 to further be a thorn in your side. But once they run out of drugs they will probably either turn on eachother or be of no use, or if the fates smile on me they will go even more insane and kamikazee whatever city they are in. Ill roll a dice or something to find the percentages.

Happy Hunting! :)

Lightning crashes, and sheets of rain pour down on a gathering of people stand around the small forum. Several bodies hang from a gallows erected in the Town square. Tura Dawlin stands at the podium. It is quite, microphones and camera are fixed on the troubled leader.

"People of our noble Federation, over past weeks our nation has been at war with the Republic of Immortal Dragons. our allies have been doing as much as they possibly can to aid us.

Recent turns in the war have made the War department weary of remaining in this war, as coventions of War fare in this region are not what they used to be. Over twenty Nuclear weapons have been fired in our region (OOC: and still the cities even exist) and still the Draconians persist. The Dragons have even attempted to use small exsplosives wraped in depleated Nuclear fuel (OOC: "Dirty Bombs") agenst our alliance.

Despite these attacks of desperation, I will not allow a cowardly, unfit board advise our military any more.
Motions to the bodies, still swinging the light breeze, blood following from the platform in the down pour

New men, Brave men will be the only ones to advise me on my choices from here on out. I am ashamed of my hesitation to act and swear, that it will never happen again.

Don't forget, as it is raining here, in Anjou, and 14 other Dracionan cities, it is winter...Nuclear winter...

Us and our allies have the the advantage, this war will not last forever (OOC: when Our buddy decides he has had enough fun and will "Roll over")

and we will be victorious!!!"

The crowd cheers and the General leaves the stage. Camera's flash and click. The General gets into his chopper and the blades begin to spin. He lifts off and even as the fourm becomes tiny and small, he can still hear the crowd cheer and chant

Admiral Alexander sat in the bridge of the HMS Victoria watching the chaos amidst his fleet. He thought back to the vicious battle that had taken place hours before.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In what was only a few hours of fighting, 19 Cantelmian Vessels had been destroyed. The Draconian submarine navy managed to sneak again into the vicinity of the 2 CBG's blockading the Port of Betelgi and the result was sheer maddness.

In what must have been a long orchestrated attack, the submarine force surfaced in immense numbers, unleashing their firepower againt the both Carrier Battle Groups. While the attack was not expected, it was anticipated. The fleet recovered much more quickly than it had to the eariler attempt at a naval assault, and the 3 patrol ships from each group immediatly retaliated with deck cannon fire.

The initial assault left 6 ships burning wreckage on the sea and another 8 ships without engines or power, including the HMS Vengence. When the submarines began to regroup however, the ships, now ready from the previous assault, unleashed depth charges over the submarines with apparent success. Several subs, now realizing the capacity of Alexander's command, began to withdraw, while the others were pinned down by the tightening battle groups.

In the second, briefer engagement that followed another 9 Cantelmian vessels were sunk, but it is believed that all the submarines that stayed behind for the second battle were destroyed.

During the battle, due to an abscence of the Draconian airforce, the Golden Eagles again took to the skies. During the main battle they experienced limited success, but luck frowned on them when the Submarine fleet attempted to withdraw. Still, it is believed that the Golden Eagles did provide the needed scare tactics to assist in frightening away the sub force.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Admiral turned away from the window, and began a hurried descent into the remaining carrier, Victoria. Vengence was being towed back to port by the few ships the force could spare and if intel on the sub fleet was accurate, while both forces were now weakened, it was likely that the Draconian subs would soon gain an edge.

Alexander reached the quarters of his trusted Lieutenant, Drake Kesige, leader of the Marine detatchment for the Draconain warfront. Adjusting his appearence he entered the room; the grizzled man rose from his bed with a crisp salute. The Admiral dismissed it, addressing him in a grim tone.

"Lieutenant, round up your men. We've decided its time. We're going to take storm the beaches."

The simple statement would begin an entirely new conflict in that northern sea.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOC: First, I'll be a gentleman and address what you've said. I accept your initiation at Cover-Ops, but be aware that the Elite Cantelmian Guard hasn't left my territory, so expect heavy casualties should you do more than intel gathering. Secondly, my coastline is pretty far away from you. We've been working on a map we'd like to put up but its slow going. My coast is pretty much on the opposite side of your continent. My cities are as follows:

Cantelmium - Capital City, Coastal City, Heavily Defended
Victoria - Second City, Inland, Northwest of Cantelmium, Heavily Defended
Alexandria - Coastal City, Moderately Defended, Southwest of Cantelmium
Rai - Inland City, Moderately Defended, Northeast of Cantelmium, Closest to You
Calaina - Coastal City, Least Defended, Southeast of Cantelmium, Near Reztles
Gial - Oversea Coastal Province, Heavily Defended, Morgiland Troops reside here and their is a Xeraph (ally) base here.

Now for my questions/comments:

How many men are defending Betelgi? I understand Civilians can fight, but I'm talking trained soldiers.

My count is you have lost about 300,000 Soldiers, so by YOUR statement, you should have 500,000 left.

And finally, just a reminder to everyone: We play with accelerated time.

6) Diry Nukes are not a type of nuclear war head. it is a type on deployment. So a dirty nuke on a conventional missle is not a dirty nuke, it is a missle with a war head...or "a Nuclear Missle"

7)the type of explosives used in like at least 70% of "Dirty bombs" were simply c4 or sum other exsplovie surrounded with depleated nuclear waste. there are not 1/10000000000000000000000 (OOC: Random number of Zeros) as effective. no were NEAR!

8) to trigger a nuclear reaction you need energy (Heat energy), (About 1,000 times more to trigger a Fusion reaction than a fission reaction(which is why we havent be able to utilzize fusion power yet))

Fun Fact: (Acually, the first fusion bomb (Nagiskai) need SO MUCH start up energy, that a convetional exsplosive, ignited a small fission (A-bomb(type used on Hiroshima(But smaller))) and THAT energy forced the Hyodrogen to Fuse, thus ignite the chain)
In conclusion, Striking a nuclear missle in flight, WILL ingnite the war head. Impact, (and i dont even think they are impact, i think its computer/timed?, mebe im not sure) seeing that impact (or w/e) simply ignited the c4(or w/e) and that energy forces Neutrons (3 to be exact) to accerate into 3 U-238 Nucleous', which release 3 more neutrons and RIDDICULOUS energy, BAM you got a chain.

The ruthless troops at anjou seemed to be victorious. But at what cost? One third of the remaining one hundred and twenty thousand men died off from starvation and the effects of nuclear war. Forty thousand men from the unit are unaccounted for but the last word on their whereabouts was of their trek to Titan, pillaging along the way. fifteen thousand men and women strapped themselves with whatever explosive/incendiary they could find and surrounded the forces of Draconia. While outnumbered, they were using tactics of tossing the dead, from either side of the war, onto the Imperial soldiers causing disease on top of radiation, and unholy fear. The men have been fighting hard but have slaughtered everyone they found and anjou is in ruins, from the surface. All is lost for Draconia in this city, is what we believe. Our intel is not 100% reliable but the odds agains the Imperial Dragons were most certainly insurmountable. And to return to the issue of the remaining troops, they set up defensive positions in whatever area of anjou that was not entirely destroyed. They began using this city as a staging ground for the rest of the war machine and the Allied front. all of the men from the battle of anjou are suffering from withrawl of the "medicine" they were on, so they will not have very good reflexes and they will soon turn on each other. But, being a good leader I chose to airlift massive cases of methadone treatment for the men's edge and rehabilitation. I also lifted food and supplies to allow for their replenishment.
The 250,000 paradroppable/sniper/survivalists have been trained and are to be outfitted with full radiation suits which we bought with the money from the disbanding of 250,000 infantrymen/draft recruits for cash program. These suits are in the construction and testing phase but will not be available for another three weeks (1 day).

In other news, suicide bombing has begun on ALL cities of Draconia, the insurgents are rapidly destroying the outward defenses but many have been taken out as the Draconian guard became wise to the deal. So a new decree has been issued, "only if you kill draconians when you explode will you recieve the 25,000 government denarii."

With Hundreds of Titan statues falling, this war is near the end.

The production of radiation suits has been bolstered and now the quota is to be finished in 5 days. (Or around 10pm tonight).

The group of air raiders had taken off without detection, the Heltian airforce base had been on high alert since the group of planes had let several hours ago. Reports were coming in frequently and bomber after bomber had joined the group from other parties, taking off from several of the many air craft carriers of the Morgian Navy.

Escort planes had shot down several UFOs with a Draconian insignia upon them. As the raiders began to approach Herculian(sorry if I spelled that wrong) the escort slowed, and began to circle. Along with them came the Stealth Bombers, carrying their deadly nuclear payload.

The other bombers continued forward, targeting arms manufacturing facilities and key military and government locals. Flames began to jump in Herculian.

The escorts stopped their circles and began to move forward as radio transmissions reached them about the outcome of the forward raid. The bombers roared back into life and surged forward, sailing over Herculian. All of sudden the best air force in the region released their bombs, sending down the pain of 20 nuclear bombs on the people of Dragon.

Drake Kesige sat low at the bow of the running transports, headed for the beaches near Betelgi. He adjusted his tight fighting thermal gear as the cold dark water splashed up into the silent running transport. All around him, similar boats were gliding across the water, all to the same destination. We're ready. Thought the lieutenant as he silently motioned to his men to prepare for a landing.

Weeks earlier, the Cantelmian Naval Headquarters, leaked a tip about a possible Marine invasion of the Draconian City of Betelgi. Now, be it too few troops or disbelief of Cantelmian actions, the Marine force of Cantelmium was speeding off towards what intel reported as a low defence city. Betelgi had been the site of several naval battles, but it appeared that the Draconain leadership did not deem its ground defences important enough to reinforce. Now, they would realize the mistake of underestimating Cantelmian force.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last of the Cantelmian transports deployed their Marine forces, a total of 5,000 infantry, with additional waves waiting on high alert if reinforcements should be needed. Kesige looked around, they were only 6 miles from the outskirts of Betelgi. Under the cover of night, they would make significant headway before an alarm could properly be raised.

Kesige signaled to his men to begin their approach. The main force would move in from the Northeast, whereas a secondary force would approach the Southern end of the city in an attempt to sap the roads and lay down a successful seige. Kesige's strategy, if successful, should result in the capture of the city in a few weeks. With a supply line readied as soon as the second wave of troops landed, 1,500 more expected later that night, the Marine's didn't even need to secure that much of the city before a clear victory would be obtained. However, considering the speed, efficency and suprise factors that the Cantelmian Marine's had, they would likely seize much of the city before too long.

They even had the support of the local populace in their wing. Of course, an attack by beligerent forces would never be welcomed. However, the Cantelmian forces were one of the only nations in this war that had not used WMD's. The citizenry would know, that should they fall to the Cantelmian Marine forces, while defeat it would still be, it would be a heaven compared to the treatment they would exhibit at the hands of the Ravaged Jordantinoplian Soldiers near Anjou, or even the repeated bombings from Morgilian air force. Every aspect of the attack was in Kesige's favor, and he was ready to make sure it would stay that way.

Kesige's men stole quietly into the city streets, executing plans weeks in the making. Trained for such an assault, they made use of silenced weaponry and less conventinal tactics, so that their appearence would be minimized. Radio crackled back and forth as the Marine's captured their opening objectives, procuring a small radius near the edge of Betelgi's suburban district from which the true attack would take place. Kesige glanced down at his watch, 1:26. Good, by this time Marshall's boys will have taken up their position to the south of the city.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the sun began its ascent in the morning sky, the final transport had landed at the spot where Kesige's men originally landed. Unloading dozens of supply boxes and tents, the transports began to return back to the fleet. Sergeant Nick Johnson, called back to the HMS Victoria to report,

"Lord Admiral," he stated in a cool, collected voice, "The Beach has been secured."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aboard the HMS Victoria, Prince Alexander held the radio in his hand and smiled. Today, the might of the Imperial Military would be felt in earnest.

DRACONIAN PUSSY SMELLS LIKE MOLD!!!!!!

DRACONIAN PUSSY SMELLS LIKE MOLD...

The cold, Bitter Draconian winter was showing small signs of spring. Although the miles around Anjou were now desolate Nuclear waste lands, the Paratroopers began to stumble across tiny flowers here and there. and occasionally find a rabbit or Rat to eat along with there rations, as they steadily marched deeper in land towards the small city of "______" (OOC: What is the next closest/smallest city, please) This blossom of life in the darkest corner of the Rajou gave Master Sergent Ralphie Murphy and his fellow Jumpers some hope, and enough morale to chant songs and make jokes as they move on ward. There gas masks strapped tightly to their sides as was Reztlian order that all men be ready. Everybody in Reztles was angry. How could the Dragons be so heartless? There are only two countries in the Rajou who have not use WMD's in this war yet. and Reztles was one of them. "WHY WOULD THE DRAGONS GAS USE?!?!? ARE THEY STUPID?!?!? DO THEY NOT SEE THESE OTHER COUNTIRES NUKING THEM?!?!?" the men would shout at the distant mountains, only to be answered by there echo. But today was not a lammenting day, today was a good day as that morning at 0800 hours the 1st calvary division confermed that they were within a days range of the platoon and would reach them by the evening. The paratroopers were excited.

"Maybe we can ride on the sides and not have to walk!" - A young jumper asked the Master Sergent who only grined at thought of the possiblity and resumed singing about the Jodi at the top of his lungs.

It was almost Dusk when they heard the fire.
They all hit the ground at once. and looked around for the source. When Over the hill behind them came a flood of Camo as the Abram Tank Division raced towards the Paratroopers. with Tank men firing there mounted SMGs into the Air screaming,
"LONG LIVE THE FEDERATION!"

The M1A1 Abram Battle Tanks encircled the Troopers to provide protection while they got organized. the counted:

9,875 Fully Armed Infantry (Grounded Paratroopers)
and
26 Abram Tanks (With Crews of 4 Each, Plus Tank commander meaning 105 men with the Calvary)

"Recon Says its a smooth ride till "______" Nuclear Fallout has Crippled the Draconian Economy and Ability to make war." - The Tank Commander addresses the Men.

We should arrive at "________" By morning. Lets move Out.

"Yeah Mike, thats not what she told me after you got done with her!"

"Shut up Rob, like you could do any better."

"Well we sure know you can't!"

The men in the surrounding tanks laughed at the conversion taking place as the Abrams rolled along, barreling down the country towards Herculian.

The second cavalry division had met little resistance in the war, preferring to let their air forces do the grunt work while they cruised through the Republic.

"Those infantry boys ever coming?" The machine gunner said to himself as he glanced back expecting to see some sign of them.

"Ah, you know they'll get here at the end and tr....Planes! Coming in fast and low!"

The whole division seemed to open up, sending jets of fire towards the incoming Draconian planes.

The jets zoomed off, smoke rising from the wings of several wounded Draconian air craft.

"Bastards" Rob spat as he checked his gun."Think they've still got a chance in this, ahh hell more trouble!"

The boom of an RPG reached the ears of the Abrams crew, amdist cussing the tanks began to lob shells in the direction of the enemy fire.

"Fricking communists" Rob muttered, sending a hail of machine gun fire towards a muzzle blast.

The battle of Herculian had begun.

On the Home Front

The Waffenhuil, the Morgian secret police had begun to set up a series of camps. Located in the remote forests and rolling planes of the Morgian countryside. Allready prisoners of war were starting to arrive, Morgiland would spare them no mercy.

Along with camps, the Waffenhuil had turned the southern and northern beaches of Morgiland into a fortress, bunkers lined the cliffs above the rolling waves. Land mines lay concealed beneath the sand and anti-air craftguns dotted the hills. Morgiland began to prepare its defenses for the Fatherland.

two more cities have fallen prey to the jordantinoplan suicide bomb attacks and scare tactics. The former metropolises lie in ruin in the wake of the recent bombardment. With very little time left, shouldn't the draconian leader surrender now? To ensure this thought, 250,000 paratroopers/survivalist/sniper trained men will be dropped in titan equipped with the new radiation suits that have been fully integrated into our millitary gear as of yesterday. The fall of The Republic is at hand, we will topple the Titan yet.

A Different War

The sun shone a different color over the Republic these days

There was always that nuclear haze on the horizon now.......

A storm was brewing in the rain forest in the center of the Republic. The Viceroy of the Space Forces, chest and left arm bandaged up, moved away from the mouth of the cave, nodding to the guards.

Inside was what was called central command these days. The President had dropped his traditional suit and now donned army camouflage. He had a green beret over his long dark locks as well.

Draconia's underground bunker system had served it well and it did still. Across a steel table, a LCD-displayed map of Draconia was placed.

The Devastation

Titan, the capital of Titan, the center of nuclear devastation
Betelgi, a southern port city, luckily one of the cities missed by nuclear attack so far
Herculian, a mountain city halfway between the southern coast and the central rain forest
OOC: btw, how did you land troops there Morgiland? Air drop from your aircraft carriers on the coast? ??? maybe my mistake, i haven't said where the city was before i don't think Anyways, since you dropped 20 nukes on the city, it's gone
Achilles Heeldom, another city in the mountain chain between Titan and the central rain forest

Anjou, a northeastern border city, where nuclear winter andd maruading Jordantinoplian troops have made a wasteland

Cadmean, a small city between the two great peaks of Olympus and Sinai, also near the eastern border OOC: That's for you, Retzles.

11 other cities, now destroyed from nuclear devastation, not worth mentioning

Spirtia, a northern plains city of the Republic, where the grass is still green and the Alacambrian river first trickles out of the ground

Dunro, the famed city of stone, built into the mountainside itself, where the Alacambrian flows over its great cataract of Gonjojo.

Yashibi, where man and nature unite in the central rain forest

OOK:That's my 20

Apparently, all cities are suffering from some sort of aerial bombardment or the new Jordantinoplian suicide troops.

With the incessant attacks on our cities and the threat of more nuclear devastation, much of the surviving populace has been evacuated into the countryside.

It has become a total guerrilla war. Our cities no longer safe, we spread our population into more obscure areas to survive the war in....Caves in the mountains, settlements in the great northern forest, desert oasis VIPs may be lucky enough to be put aboard one of the submarines still coming out of the facilities in the cliff below Titan.

Small areas of the nuclearly unscathed cities are still populated, where military production facilities abound.

Raiding parties in radiation suits enter some cities to find supplies and pick up any Draconian refugees they find as well

Anjou

In a hundred mile radius from the center of Anjou, little news has been heard. Troops based near Cadmean pick up refugees every day and whisk them out of the torment, their stories chilling our bones. These stories are murmured from mouth to mouth, from radio station to radio station, and eyes harden across the Republic.

One could not call it a victory, nor a defeat, for anarchy now rules in northeastern Draconia. Bodies run down the Thimbian river every day.

The Emperor stood in the glow of the warm sun, atop his main military compound in Cantelmium. The sun, a dark orange in the sky, reminded him of days before his damnedable neighbors began their nuclear apocolypse. He shook his head and turned to face the man brought before him. He studied the man before he began, a deep intake of breath followed by the taught fabric of his shinning white suit. Despite the grim and grief of war, it was the Emperor alone who would allow no weight of war to lay on his head.

And why should he? The Cantemlian Army, with a border camp 8,000 strong, stood by on the 10 mile front which connected the Draconian lands with his own. His airforce, while not as powerful as the Morgiland forces, was full of elites, ready to move at a moments notice. And the Cantelmian Navy was encountering massive success while the Marine forces began their first aggressive actions. However, the latest news had arrived from the final branch of the armed forces. The Elite Unit of the Imperial Guard, The White Eagle, had brought their freshest catch, a Draconian spy, to their master. The captive now knelt before the Emperor, shackled, broke and awaiting judgement. Emperor Robert looked around himself one more time, surveying the two guardsmen holding the prisoner up before him.

The Emperor approached the man, and extended his hand to the man. The captive, fearing his life, took it and rose to his feet, the guards who were holding him backing up two steps in symbolic gestures. The tearfilled prisoner looked on at the Emperor who spoke in a calm, commanding voice.

"My son, as a soldier, you have seen the range of our might. As a spy you have seen the force of our resolve. And now, as a prisoner, you see the glory of Cantelmium before you."

The Emperor paused, green eyes probing the glassy grey ones of his captive. Tears streamed down the face of the man as he looked into the eyes of the Imperial power before him. The Emperor released his hand and and held the man in his powerful stare. He searched the man, knowing that his next few moments were for no mere spy, dozens had been captured and killed. It was for the President of the Immortal Dragons that his captive still lived. The message he sent would mean as much to the President as it would to this lowly soldier.

"Know that I am the one who gives mercy. Know that through me, this war of violence and hatred will end. Know that it is I who shall award the peacable and dash the wicked. Your life has been spared and it is for this miracle that you must return with haste. Go to your leaders, tell them of the Emperor's compassion. I wish not to harm any of The Rajou, but if violence is commited against my people, I must return in kind."

His green eyes, serene and angelic, seemed almost to shine in the sun's light, bearing down into the soul of the man before him.

"And know, that should the Cantelmian people be force to war, we will not rest until your entire world has been brought to its knees."

Almost at that moment, the man before him collapsed in a heep, weeping and begging for mercy. The Emperor turned away, back towards the balcony, and then again faced the broken man, his voice no longer angelic and friendly, but firm and commanding,

"Tell your Master, he will discuss terms for surrender or the might of our Empire will be brought to your doors. I care nothing for one man, who would sacrifice his entire nation out of foolish pride. Surrender or death, there is no middle ground."

The Emperor then turned to the guards who began to drag the captive to his feet and back into the compound. Robert looked out across the city again, this war would end, he knew that much was certain. He was more concerned about the state of his allied lands. Devestated by war, nuclear activity and chemical agents; it would not be accepted. The Emperor turned back to the compound, having regained his cool voice, he motioned to his aide, Andrea,

"One thing, please send out a message to our allies, requesting the ceased use of all Weapons of Mass Destruction. If we stop, so must the enemy."

With that, the Emperor entered the compound, heading for the war room.

((OOC: I don't know, Since I didn't know where it was located I just decided to attack it))
The first armored division had effectively removed the minute resistance that they had recieved while fighting at Herculian. The guns had gone silent several hours ago and the nuclear haze hung ominously over the defeated city.

Radiation suits had been shipped the previous day from Morgiland and helicopters were operating nonstop to deliver the suits to the men who were preparing to enter the city.

Infantry regiments were arriving hourly, the Morgian high command wanted to display a show of force. King Tyler called it pyshcoligical war fare, he wanted to show the people of Draconia that the GKM could go any where.

Finally the order came down and the tanks began to roll. Troops began to march, no sign of emotion evident on their faces as they proudly displayed Morgian flags and banners.

The tanks barelled down every street, the hollowed eyed people of Draconia looked wearily out of their windows. Some cheered, others stood quietly, holding their elation inside. Well, thats what the soldiers believed although in most cases their were wrong.

Back at Home

The gilded hall of the monarchal palace flashed with lights, the reporters glanced anxiously at one another. The lights were lowered and the national anthem began to play. King Carpi entered, dressed in a crisp black suit with a Morgian armband on his left arm. His top generals followed their commander as he made his way to the podium.

"People of Morgiland and the National Community. Our Kingdom has been engaged in a war not of our, but we have stood firm by our allies...and against one of them. It was not our intention when forming this alliance to quarell among eachother but the actions of Draconia have forced us into this conflict.

Upon the completion of this war I hope to welcome Draconia back into our alliance with open arms. Morgiland will help rebuild the Dragon, put it back on its feet, replant the crops, build new buildings, and restore what was once a great nation and ally.

But we must have the support of the people, it takes you to make this rebuilding process happen. This means supporting the actions of your government! Thank you, All hail Morgiland and the Rajou."

The king stepped down and his commanders filled the press in on the current actions of the military in Draconia.

Defense of Betelgi

Rewind a little.....

...as Cantelmium Marine carriers approached the beach, Captain Akira of the Draconian Dragoon task force Loch Ness watched from from the pinnacle of a lighthouse, through thermal binoculars.

They're sending a strong first wave, he mused. He spat on the ground, aiming to drown a spider he saw crawling on the ground. Damn those Cantelmium Marines! Draconia was being attacked from all sides. This new land assualt, the second of the war after Anjou, would hopefully not be as devastating.

Captain Akira had once served alongside Cantelmium troops during the formation wars of the Rajou. He held them to be honorable, opponents worthy of his samurai sword or MX-2.5.

But then Akira swept his binoculars to survey the Gargantuan Canal from Titan. Refuse filled that waterway. The Retzlian pre-war cry of "the Draconian rivers will run red with blood" came to mind. And Akira's eyes squinted, and his eyebrows furrowed.

However honorable Cantelmium might once have been, they could have stopped this war. Jordantinople was the aggressor, but Cantelmium led the Rajou. Cantelmium could have isolated Jordantinople with its pervasive influence, but they too decided to accept the official story that this war was caused by Draconian terrorism. How could they?

When once the President of Draconia and the Cantelmian Emperor had fought as brothers, to create this paradise out of the desert called the Rajou.

To ally with Jordantinople and its fellow scum made Cantelmium alike to them all. They all would be shown no mercy. But neither would WMD's be approved on Cantelmian troops. Their courtesy was returned.

"Prepare the welcome," Akira cued his subordinate, who then bent double and ran to the beach.

A few thousand men then ran to the beach and planted Imperial flags along the line where the waves reached highest. They flapped wildly in the wind. An orange sun beat down upon the red dragon and glistened.

The flags formed a permeable wall with one opening, that led straight into the heart of Betelgi, to city hall itself. Lights were turned off except along this route into the city. Citizens had not even been evacuated.

The Dragoons retreated from the beach and disappeared into thin air. As Cantelmian Marines ran up the beach, their battle cries were silenced as they met no opposition, to be replaced by a silence filled with apprehension.

Soon a Marine corporal and his troop saw the lit way into the city proper. He radioed for instructions.

....Akira's instructions were very unusual and he was to follow them to the letter. In City Hall, he instructed his personal guard to drag the assassinated Mayor's body out of the building, he fell to Jordantinoplian Special Ops. Then he sat in the huge Mayoral Throne....

....and waited for Cantelmium to send a diplomat to City Hall to discuss the future of this war.

When the Federation Came to Cadmean

News that Cantelmium had called for an end to WMD's in the war had spread like wildfire. It gave new hope to the Draconian cause.

And so the mustard gas arsenals on Sinai and Olympus were disarmed. So were the anthrax aerosol bombs and the chlorinated grenades. The highly virulent forms of influenza and yellow fever and bottled leprosy ;-D!.

Artillery was placed upon the mounts of Sinai and Olympus, ready to fire down upon Retzlian paratroopers. What ammunition will be used, conventional or bio, chem, or radiologic agents remains to be seen.

Cadmean is a city of marble and concrete, its streets are paved with slate. Gondolas ply the multitudinous canals that branch throughout the city.

A small army base has been erected at the mouth of the valley between the two great peaks leading to Cadmean. Ground has been uplifted, barbed wire inplaced, some trenches, metal objects and boulders to hinder tank movement.

The High General of the East, Curtis "Steel" McCoy, graced the small force here with his presence. 5,000 were experienced troops from Anjou, ones that had fared best or faced least of the radiation. As far as they knew, these Retzlian troops were still green. 2,500 were FireBreathers, armed with FX-3.5, flamethrowers. It's a slow painful way to die.

The first raport of artillery broke the still morning air.

"The Federation has come", McCoy muttered. "Let them enjoy our infamous hospitality. Dinner will be Retzlian blood and bones."

Honor Demanded It

A task force of 10 submarines and 3 trimaran coastal destroyers had been traveling for days to reach the Morgiland coast.

------------------------------------------------------------

Vice Admiral Waroon, aboard the DSS Claw, opened the hatch of his submarine aircraft carrier (hereafter referred to as SAC) and breathed fresh air. On the horizon, he could see glittering pillars of glass and steel at dusk. VIVADA.

As the submarine continued its ascent out of the water, the hanger doors opened at the front end of the sub. A squadron of B-2 Spirit Bombers flew out, blasting their afterburners.

At the same moment, the Emerald, the Saphire, and the almighty Diamond, Draconia's 3 prized destroyers, launched a coastal bombardment, specifically targeting any known anti-aircraft defenses.

The water around the DSS Claw soon became agitated as well, as though a giant beast underground had been interrupted rudely from its slumber.

Lo, and 20 non-nuclear missiles pierced the surface of the sea. They screamed through the sky above the B-2 squadron, now accompanied by a fighter screen of 12 F-16s.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Sirens were heard in the city. The fighters used cover between the skyscrapers as much as possible as they reached their target, the monarchial palace of Morgiland.

Vice Admiral Waroon had a vision of King Capri's tea cup shaking as the B-2s screamed over his palace and grinned slyly. B-2s, dropping Daisy Bombs, C-4, etc.

He watched a skyscraper fall as a missile crumpled into it.

He closed the hatch as the Claw descended to periscope depth to await the bombers' return.

20 more missiles breached the wavetops.

6 submarines protected the 3 trimarans during their bombardment attack, which was short-lived, only a screen for the bombers.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Below the surface, whales sung. Their songs echoed into the bridge of the Claw where Waroon faced the radar screen, watching the Morgian response and wondering how many bombers would come back.

Inside, he was very happy, but to maintain discipline, he showed none of it to his crew. He scrutinized every detail of the battle he could from this vantagepoint.

It was a very risky attack, but one worth its weight in morale and in the pyschology of war.

Morgiland, Morgiland. He had seen the skies over Titan filled with their aircraft as the Claw sped down the Gargantuan Canal. Now it was their turn. He had heard that now Morgiland also used nukes upon Titan and Herculian. His family was probably weeks dead by now.

The war had been brought to King Capri's door. Morgiland would not go unscathed in this war. And what is a snake without its head? At least, Waroon hoped that King Capri would lose someone he held dear to him.

-----------------------------------------------------------

After the results of the assualt had been assured and the surviving bombers picked up, the Diamond was going to jam all radio signals in Vivada and Waroon was going to make an Imperial Address to the people of Vivada.

20 more missiles breached the waves to scream into the city. To some it looked like the greatest fireworks display ever.

King Carpi sat quietly in the underground war bunker. Maps were laid out infront of him, Vidava was displayed on the projector and his generals and admirals talked nonstop of tactics and ways to retalitate for this blatant disregaurd for Morgian supremecy.

"I want those bombers downed!" A firey rage sounded around the room, quieting the officers immediatly.

"AA fire and a squadrom of our F-15s took down many of them sir, including all of the F-16s that were protecting them."

"And the subs and Crusiers?" The king shoot back, eyeing his officers moodily.

" The destroyers Alpha, Vice, Tiger, Heltan, and Gihal along withe 50 submarines your Highness, as well as an aerial attack to take care of the problem." Came the reply from Hiedrich, the king's brother and commander of the Waffenhuil.

"I want all of our bombing raids aimed on Betelgi now, mobilize the navy as well. I want them to help aid Cantelmium in their assault on the city...Order our men in Herculian to destroy what is left of Herculian andsend the population back to the camps, Hiedrich your men will be in charge of that.

Now to the defense of the city, bring in another hundred anti-aircraft guns, I want constant fighter patrols, and the gunners will be on high alert 24 hours a day. I want these same measures implemented in every major Morgian city.

Put the divisions on the cost on high alert, tell them to fire at every Draconian ship that passes. I don't care wether if its a merchant ship or not! Just bring it down.

Send the 1st and 2nd southern fleet on patrol, alert the northern fleet and have them send patrol groups and spy planes out every few hours. This will not happen again! The Draconian dogs will pay."

The king stood and nodded at his generals before stopping and as an after thought added. " Make sure the Draconian air force knows that they have poor aim, the palace is unharmed..."

With a grim smile Tyler left, in deep discussion with his brother.

Hearing the incessant cries of the people of Anjou, a tall form clothed in white washed his hands clean in the holy water basin. With a furrowed brow and convicted eyes, he looked around toward the barren land around him: A land of waste, a land called Anjou. With open arms he greeted the amassed troups issuing a decree: "Any and All orders that were given before this moment are to be expunged. The pain and devastation I have seen by this corrupted government is irreversible and intolerably cruel. Our part in this war should have ended a very long time ago, but for whatever reason we kept moving forward. Nuclear war was never the people's intention and this crazed psychopath Chancellor leading us never cared! It is time we come back to reality, forget this tyrranical reign and throw off our warped leadership." As he spoke of these ideas, a larger crowd started to develop. Not just a crowd of Jordantinoplans, but an included populous of Draconian families drawn in by the food and water provided to one and all by the charismatic leader. Declared a demilitarized zone, Anjou became the new land of peace for refugees around the area. The land was to be put to use and rebuilt in payment for the evil that was done.

As the robed man stared out towards the people, he moved to speak once more. "Give me your hope, and I will give you peace." he furthered his monologue after a brief pause. " The numbers of men, women, and children here are in the millions. I applaud the love that the Jordantinoplan people are willing to extend to their staunch enemies. For far too long have we been oppressed by a regime that wishes to further our evil aims. We need an era of prosperity and peace for all! Violent times will come out of this, but hear me this! No hand will touch another Immortal Dragon citizen's flesh while i am still breathing. A full withdrawl of all forces will be arrived at by 1900 hours ET."

Someone moved forward from the crowd to ask the question that was left looming on the minds of everone at Anjou. " Who are you to decide anything of the matters of state, or even local affairs?"

The man strode along the platform pacing with his hands gently clasped behind his back. "Why, I am your new leader."

A stunned look was soon washed away with uneasy jostling and quibbling amongst the crowd. One of the townsmen shouted "But what happened to-

The figure poured out his water basin which was the color crimson. He gathered in his arms a small package about the size of a loaf of bread. With great care he unfolded the parcel and showed the crowd. Gasping for air, no one could comprehend what was happening. As one of the soldiers in the crowd tried to run up to the podium to depose this usurper, he was silenced by a quick but lethal shot to the head, no one could tell from where. The towering man threw his load to the ground and spoke fervently " The dawn of a new era has begun, A moral era, a peaceful era, and an era of harmony." He
pulled back his hood and let the masses see. This was the time he had been praying for, this was the moment that he saw in his dreams.
As the gathering stood in shock, the chiseled form of Prince Teriathus of Jordantinople absorbed the moment and as he strode off the makeshift stage,
the vivid package that no one could take their eyes off of stared back at them.

It was the head of their former Grand Chancellor.

OOC: It's Christmas Eve and I have no time to Post right now, so just bear with me;

2. I D, please tell me about Betelgi as I can't check the forums for a while. What's the situation with the Spy I sent back to you too?

3. Jordantinople, So is your nation in Civil War Right now? Because if it is, the Cantelmian government must decide whose side its on.

4. Reztles, I had nothing to say to you. But Because your the only one who I'm not addressing, I'll say hi!

OOC-merry christmas, and for Cantelmium and Retzels ill hand out my christmas stuff on the 29th.

IC- Yes we are in civil war, and it has been 3 weeks. This is a very swift moving force because the approval rate of the Grand Chancellor was around 18 percent.
If my country believed in impeachment he would have been gone a long time ago. Heres what each side stands for...

Teriathus- peace, prosperity, civil rights, disarmament of nuclear powers, and a strong economy. But through force. bring the troops home mentality.

Old Regimists- Nuclear deployment, suicide bombing, drug usage to create super soldiers, horrible mistakes in nuking the city they sent troops into, and war mongering that cost hundreds of thousands of lives and millions of denarii.

The Sunshine Is Streaming from the Mountaintops

In a different undisclosed bunker location in the central rain forest of Ferngully, a feeling of jubilation was in the air. Anjou! oh the latest news from Anjou was welcome indeed. Civil war in Jordantinople!

And from the southern front: Raid on Vivada!

And the blessing of: Banning of WMD's in the Draconian

Keying in the security code on the blast door, a man in black walked into the lush greenery, took off his black trenchcoat, and bathed in a nearby pool with cascading waterfall.

This man's name was Tyrisius and he was the Republic's best agent, master of the YaBaBimBom and the JiuJitSu. Full of cunning and with a portenous talent at violence, his code name was AZILANT, the legendary Hugatarian Horntail dragon king of the Catalian Mountains between Ferngully and Titan.

AZILANT's mission throughtout the war so far had been to protect the President against any attempt on his life. So far AZILANT had wisked the President away from two bombing runs on bunkers, and 4 attempts by assassination and sniping squadrons from Jordantinople. :sniper:

To the guards protecting the entrance to the bunker, it looked as if Tyrisius was relaxing. But no. It was an excuse to see the new arrival enter the bunker.

There and Back Again: A Tale of Agent Christo

A branch snapped in the forest. Spontaneously, a bird call was made by one of the guards at the blast door.

Agent Christo had arrived back from Cantelmium. AZILANT watched from behind some underbrush, looking at his one-time comrade. Had he been turned? He had not yet been debriefed. What made him return at this time? He pierced the man's face with his eyes, looking for any change in this man he knew. Christo felt the gaze and looked into the underbrush for AZILANT without success. His face filled with shame but not guilt. AZILANT relaxed. Draconia was not betrayed.

A New Dawn, A New Direction, A New Jubilation

OOC: Not necessary reading for you guys, this is character development lol, i'm almost writing a book now

Christo was brought quickly before the President. AZILANT slipped into the room, clothed again in black.

The President turned to face Christo. Gone was the suit, replaced with army camoflauge fatigues and a green beret placed above black shining locks. There was a horizontal scar underneath the left eye, a knife wound from a particularly adept Jordantinoplian assassin. The President looked fiercer than ever.

The debriefing was short and hushed. Before his capture, agent Christo had been able to coordinate his underlings and gather the general situation in Cantelmium. The greatest news was that Agent A reported that Emperor Cantelmo was planning to send diplomats to Betelgi.

Good the President thought. Now the debriefing became harsher, as the President asked for the most exact details about the entire encounter with the Emperor.

Was this still the same man I fought with, the man my father befriended during the New World Order? Everything Christo said reminded the President of encounters he had himself had with the Emperor during the great battles of "ap calc", azerothian, vanilliant, and "review game", riskian, and gordant. But how then did the Emperor found such unlikely allies as King Capri and the leaders of Reztles and the (now-dead) king of Jordantinople? Why does he fight in this unjust war against the innocent Reublic? Has our past struggles together meant nothing?

Predisent Orionis had never really trusted the Emperor, thinking him bloodthristy for power. But his father Maximus had trusted him completely, and Orionis had followed his father's example. Indeed, the Emperor had proved a valuable ally during the New World Order, helping gain for the giants a grand paradise in Draconia, more than they could of hoped for without help. But this civil war in the Rajou may be the price we pay for our decision to trust the Emperor. Together we both grew strong. If my father had struck him down upon the field of Azerothian, instead of befriending him, how would the Rajou, the world look today?

But enough speculation. What's done is done. News from Agent A through Christo cooled his worries about the Emperor. If he was willing to negotiate, today's new dawn was even brighter.

OOC: More of the same

Christo's look of shame was apparent to the President. He had been caught alive. But the President had one last mission for him before seppuku.

"You shall go to Betelgi," he boomed, as Christo looked up in shock. "After you are done, you shall use this immediately". He threw a jewel-encrusted dagger at Christo's feet.

"In Betelgi, you shall report to Akira and tell him all you told me about the Emperor. You shall help Akira in any way during the negotiations. If need be, you shall spy on the Cantelmium diplomats and earn their trust. You are dismissed."

Christo clutched the dagger and crawled backwards out of the room.

"Tyrisius," Orionis said.

"Yes, my master?"

"Escort me to the burning grounds"

The Draconian population had started retreating from the cities as the first nukes dropped but many still fell to radiation poisoning, not retreating fast enough or troops covering the retreat. The dead were burned by day to disguise troop movements.

Atop a great pile of cedar lay the body of the late Viceroy of the Space Forces. Jordantinople had been successful in taking one of the bravest sons of the Republic away, at last. He never recovered from the attack and eventually bled out. The President gazed upon his old friend one last time. It was not the way he would have liked to go.

Fire burned in Orionis' eyes. This civil war, started by ruse, followed by nuclear devastation, had tried the Republic hard. Now it had taken one of the greatest sons of Draconia with it. "I will avenge thee," Orionis muttered, grasping a burning branch to start the funeral pyre.

Though day, the moon shone in the sky through the trees. Orionis' eye caught it and so did an ingenious idea to glorify his friend's death.

"Send the Viceroy's body on the next rocket to Siru from Spirtia." The body removed, the President then set fire to the other fifty-odd bodies.

Tysisius calculated that it would be an hour or two before the fire was spotted as unnatural. "On the move again are we, Mr. President?"

"Soon. But first the war room."

Daelock

Refugees from Titan, Herculian, and the other cratered cities had flocked over the border into nuetal Daelock and constructing makeshift settlements and manufacturing facilities. OOC: Daelock never has responded to the war in the Rajou. So either they welcome my people or the 50,000 troops dispatched to Daelock are battling the border patrol.

Anjou!

President Orionis ordered the army heading towards Ter Amor to turn around and come back to Anjou to aid Prince Teriathus if he wants any military aid in his civil war against the Old Regemists. The President is now traveling on foot towards Anjou to meet with Prince Teriathus and make a close ally with him.

Cadmean

Reztles having acquired long-range missiles, many of the trenches and fortifications at Cadmean Pass fell apart. Every trench was breached. 13 of 20 machine gun emplacements collapsed. However, this made the terrain every more treacherous for the 26 tanks. That and the RPG equipped MX 2.5s made short order of the tanks.

OOC: You said you wanted me to roleplay the damage on your army, right?

The paratroopers were more lucky. Curtis "Steel"McCoy led his remaining 5,000 troops (1,000 Firebreathers;4,000 Anjouian survivors) against the 9,942 paratroopers and with help from the 4 remaining artillery pieces on Sinai and Olympus, they managed to kill 3,000 troops from the remnants of the defensible positions. Firebreathers laid waste to the retreat path as Curtis retreated into the city and mountains and called for aid.

OOC: *Sigh*

A. Rigel is destroyed. I asked you why you said it was still around and you said it was effectively a hunk of metal. Therefore it can't be steered towards the ground.

B. If your other Space Station was at a higher orbit, it can't deploy X - 35's from its station because the angle and height at which they were delpoyed would destroy them upon entering the atmosphere.

C. The International Space Station in Real Life is 200 Yards (2 Football Fields) 2 Miles wide is COMPLETELY unrealistic...ergo, Rigel IS small. (And immovable so its a moot point).

Resolution: Since you can't deploy missiles or ships because of the higher orbit (from your second station) and because Rigel is a floating hunk of crap, your space program is completely useless unless you were to realign to a lower orbit. Even still a lower orbit would require you to only be able to maintain contact with the station for certain hours of the day. I'm pretty sure this is accurate and if you disagree, IM me. Otherwise, delete your previous post and make a new one please.

One Month Ago...
Day broke on the recently renewed city of Anjou and all the young prince could think of was all the horrors his nation had done.
"Finally." he thought as the Orionisean caravan approached his command post. "a peaceable end seems near."
The galantry was halted as both faces seemed dreary, only Teriathus showed any hint of contentment. The stories travelled around Draconia faster than light itself it seemed to be as the swift new leader of Jordantinople was declared. The only problem was: The nation was completely stolid in it's indecision.
But that would change soon enough Teriathus thought, as he opened his arms in a gentle greeting to Orionis.
-After a time, many of the decisions were made with peace and only peace wholeheartedly in mind. Teriathus would increase trade with Anjou more than ever and send young families to jumpstart the industry there. As many as possibly could be controlled were called off the front lines of Draconia, but so many were harmed by the mind controlling tactics of the Grand Chancellor. So few believed in the dignity of man, and what being humanitarian is all about. Peace representatives from the Jordantinoplan guard will also be bordering and protecting anjou from the raging barbarians that still loom around the area. The first days were tough, but most of the insurgents seem to be at a minimal level. The representatives must be armed of course, but are only there to protect the city, not command it.
The next accord was to send the same "rebuilding squads" to Titan and Herculian, while costly Teriathus believed in righting his wrongs.
Peace between Jordantinople and The Republic of Immortal Dragons cannot be formally signed until the entire war is finished, but no man of the Prince will attack during this cease-fire. Teriathus could not speak for all of the other men and women attacking day in and day out on the Draconian guard, but he could do at least something As for now, Teriathus will leave and pursue capturing the capitol city of Jordantinople.

Entering the gates?
Seemingly impossible odds lay before the wearied Prince as he surveyed the crenelated walls surrounding the city of Jordantinople. A figurative Jericho one of his commanders mentioned. But yet, someone signalled from the highest tower. He let out a piercing scream and raised the banner of-
"That's not our flag Sir!" one of his corporals shouted from the marine regimen.
Lo and behold, it was a clean bleached Eagle contrasted by a starkly black stage. The Imperial seal of Cantelmium.
"TREACHERY!" his men exclaimed as they rushed towards the fortified oasis.
"Be still friends," issued Teriathus, "I will handle this."

With arms open, mounted upon a white horse of peace; Teriathus cantered up to the gates of the city he grew up in and let out three resounding knocks...

Emperor Robert was flooded with emotion as he strode down the hall of his foreign command post. Having only stepped of his helicopter hours ago, his mind raced as he tried to recover from the events of the past weeks. The war was going so well with the ceasefire in Betelgi, and then his eldest son, Robert, had reported to him that Prince Teriathis of Jordantinople was still alive and that the assassination attempts on his life were falsified. Finally, he heard that the Grand Chancellor himself was assassinated. The information seemed too much for the Emperor, until he heard the speechs reported of by the son of his old friend.

Exiting the large complex, he strode down the street with a small detatchment from his elite guard, The White Eagle. He held in his hand a golden scepter as he walked purposefully down the main avenue of the city. He had decided early two weeks ago; he would announce his decision. Like wildfire, the Cantelmian army with a force 3,000 strong marched near unopposed into the heart of Jordantinople and surrounded the city. Seeing him as a neutral party and perhaps a mediator of the dispute, many of the civilians accepted him over the Grand Chancellor's army. Those opposed to his coming had taken up arms against him, but due to low morale and weak support, were quickly overcome, the survivors being captured and awaiting their fates.

Yes, the Emperor had captured the city, but he did so in the spirit of what would arise as a new order. He had supported the regime of the Grand Chancellor, but had always butted heads with him. The Prince however, preached a new future for The Rajou and more importantly, he was alive. This truth, greater than the deceit of the Chancellor, had made up Robert's mind. This war would end.

He reached the gate with his bodyguard, and ordered the gate opened. Before him stood the figure of Teriathis, on horseback, with the banner of peace. The two men locked eyes, hope and fear writhing through the minds of both, who knew that the next moments would decide much of their futures. The Emperor's guard advanced, and then symbollically holstered their weapons, saluting the Price. Robert then approached the horse, and waited from the Prince to dismount and then did something amazing; he smiled. Extending the scepter out with both hands, Emperor Robert said,

"Prince Teriathis, rightful ruler of Jordantinople, I offer you this scepter, acknowledging your soverign rule and majestic ideals. I pray you accept this gift and our offer for friendship and alliance."

He then chuckled, his deep eyes showing an uncommon softness.

"Welcome home my friend."

Alexander stood before the Draconian Soldier, his grey eyes searching the man before him, hoping to put a speedy end to this. He had received orders from his father this morning, the Emperor finally implementing his long formulated plan. Lt. Kesige had reported that no opposition was met by the Cantelmian Marines and Prince Admiral Alexander was called in to negotiate a peaceful surrender of the city.

The Prince now stood before the mayoral throne and shifted his muscular frame uncomfortably. The full dress of an Admiral was not exactly what the large graceless man desired to wear. He was more accomedated to battle and leisure over the formalities of state, but his father ordered this meeting and one did not ignore the Emperor.

"My good sir, the wise Emperor recently discovered, as I am sure some of you may know, that the Prince of Jordanitnople is alive. As a result, the Emperor no longer wishes to see this war continue. However, since Weapons of Mass Destruction have been used against Rajou nations, we cannot simple forgive and forget. I, Prince Admiral Alexander Cantelmo, have been instructed to present to you, and subsequently President Orionis, the following conditions for peace."

Alexander then turned to a soldier with a lengthly letter, and handed it in turn to Akira, the Soldier-Represntative before him. Alexander than spoke again, his rough hands awkwardly folding over each other,

"You may send a unit of 6 men to leave the city to deliver the message, we expect a response within the week. Good Day."

Akira looked over the letter in his hand,

President Orionis, this war has gone on too long. I offer you the branch of peace, not only for your sake, but for the sake of all your people and The Rajou itself. I wish to meet you in person, at a secure location inside of the good Prince Teriathus' nation. However, enclosed you will find a list of reasonable requests that we will need for a full Rajou peace. Negotiations will take place at the council, but this is a preleminary list for your information.

1. You will share all space technology with all Rajou nations, and will disarm any current and prevent any future space weaponry.

2. You will agree to no longer use weapons of mass destruction against any nations.

3. You will disarm the rest of your naval forces to the limit of a later agreed upon number.

4. You will officially surrender the Port City of Betelgi to the Empire of Cantelmium and the military forces in the city will disarm and become private citizens, protected as if they were my own citizens.

5. You will turn in any scientists involved in bio-chemical warfare to a Rajou Council for trial.

I hope to see your acceptence, and your personal attendence to the peace conference.

Respectfully,

Emperor Robert I

It was decided, the answer of the President would decide the fate of his entire nation.

The Boys were playing there usual weekend game. They had come accustomed to the sound of Jets flying over head. The Streets were flooded with military men home for a day or two, and all this was the norm now.

However, today was diffrent. Tommy was about to strike Joey out when a loud explosion deafened the boys. They swung there heads a turned to see the source. A V-2 Rocket rose quickly from the fireball hovering about the base, some 2 miles away. This was quickly followed by another fireball and V-2. the boys in a state of frenzy and curiosity quickly forgot there game and ran to there bikes to see what was going on.

"Foward march! At the Half-step! Hold formation!"

The scream of JDAM Missles rocketed overhead from F-22's Miles away they targeted strategic defense points through out Cadmean. The Reamining 6,000 or so Infantry Charged Cadmean, leaving behind there encampment littered with empty wooden crates from the supply drop, which continued to drop 25,000 Fresh Paratroopers into the City. 30 F-16's from Viola scraped just above the buildings, very difficult for Flak Cannons (If there are any)(Although not making them invincible). The 4 or 5 remaining tanks sat back. At there Maxium Range (Of up to 4,000 meters (a little far for enemy damage)) and fired there cannons at the Enemy. The destoyed turrets atop the two mountains were turned on the city and readied by Paratroopers for any enemy Aircraft to scramble in Defense. The ground troops moved towards there designated target areas within the City.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Boys turned the corner and dropped there bikes by a tree along the sidewalk. The scurried behind cars and bushes and trees and made tehre way to the gates of the Military Base. The smoke still rose from the silos. The yard around the silos were bustling with Soldiers and Tech crews working the A-A and Flak Guns. Although they should be safe deep within Reztles all risks were minimized. The boys hid behind a car at the sidewalk. Two men in Tech crew uniforms left the gates and walked down the sidewalk. the boys followed carfully, moving car to car, and tree to tree and listened.

"Wow Randy, I feel bad for the nightshift guys."
"True, I wondered what is going on that we are doing so many launches."
"Yeah i was talking to the chick from Intel.."
"Oh! the one with big--"
"yeaaaaaaah that one!, she said we are taking out that other space station...Siru or whatever."
"I was wondering what took us so long."
"Well, Since it's in a Polar Orbit, the Draconians can't keep contact with it all day,"
"Cause' its on the other side of the world?"
"Exactly, and We are going to Fire 2 V-2s at Siru every 4 hours untill its dead."
"Duh, thats not going to work, what about the X-Thirty, whatevers"
"They can't launch from a high orbit, thats why Rigel was so dangerous becuase it was lower and could launch them; anyway, So we launch 2 every 4 hours and If the missle depots onboard are not already speant then they will soon, since space stations are small (Because they need to be small enough to fit on a Shuttles Payload) so they CANT carry infinite Missles"
"Cool, sounds good! I hope this war is over soon, randy..I'm Scared."
"What are you a pussy hippy...Get over it."

The boys dropped back from the two men and turned to eachother confused becuase they had no idea what the men were talking about. They went to there bikes and rode back to there game.

OOC: I assume the peace conference is happening in Jordantinople?

Akira had quickly gotten an encrypted copy of Prince Admiral Alexander Cantelmo's letter to President Orionis at the makeshift Draconian embassy in Jordantinople. Orionis had designated Tyrisius to put on a new hat and be leading diplomat in the peace conference, while Orionis directed from behind the scenes.

As Orionis read the requirements for peace, he was not very displeased. The only fighting was in Cadmean and reinforcements were to arrive from the direction of the northern cities of Dunro and Spirtia. That is if fighting there was to continue.

Orionis prepared his response and called Tyrisius in to relay it to Prince Teriathus and Emperor Cantelmo.

OOC: I maintain the plausibility of the space station re-entry scenario, based on the downing of Mir over the South Pacific. However, yes, to launch this mission, Siru would have to change its orbit, a detail I forgot. And yes, the station would have to be quite small and checking out facts about Mir after the fact, it would have not have done much damage to Vivada either, due to its size. A pity. With war ending, I will scrape that post.

In the mayoral palace in Betelgi, Akira walked up to the great white marble table and began to issue President Orionis' reply to Prince Admiral Alexander Cantelmo.

"Decree 5 will be carried out, however, since most of the said bio-chemical agents were invented before the New World Order, many scientists were not employed by the Republic in maintaining the stockpiles. Our form of weaponed leprosy is original, and these scientists will be turned over to you, provided that they not be executed.

Sitting down gravely in the Mayoral Throne, and resting his hands atop the bejeweled dragons' heads adorning the chair's arms, Akira took a breath.

"Your conditions being founded on the use of WMDs, President Orionis would like to mention that it is his country that suffers from nuclear winter.

It is much in the interest of the Republic that the use of WMDs be forbidden in any future war.

In this effort, we propose the following plan.

Akira now slapped a small electronic tablet pad on the desk.

The best assured strategy to ensure WMD-free war in the future would be the realization of MAD.

Your proposals for peace seem reasonable and have found favorable reception with the President. We are quite willing to share our space program with the rest of the Rajou. We offer that the city of Betelgi become the international center of the Rajou space program.

Your proposals will be considered and put into action if the Republic of Draconia be equipped with a small nuclear arsenal.

We also ask that with the beginning of the peace conference, that Cantelmium forward a message to Reztles, and ask Reztlian forces to retreat to beyond the city limits of Cadmean and perhaps set up camp on Mt. Sinai, or another location if that does not suit them.

--------------------------------------

Curtis "Steel" McCoy had had a few bad days. Cadmean, the city itself, was not set for defense. It's many canals and the following blasting of bridges however had prevented extensive infiltration of the city hencefar by Reztlian troops. Reinforcements from Dunro and Spirtia were gathering at the base of Mt. Olympus, waiting for orders. Reztlian troops holding the peak of Mt. Olympus.

Orders that McCoy had been instructed not to give until Retzles had responded to Akira's request.

Woof. Woof

"Hey! I think Benny found one!"

Several Men move to the muddy bank of the canal were the dog stood barking.

"Yep, another one. Pull him up boys."

The men, dressed in camo fatigues, pull the drenched body of the Paratrooper from the water. A knot a strings and ropes wrap the body as he is entangled in his Parashute, drowned in the canal.

"Poor fella- say Lou, how many does this make?"
"me? 5th today; but i heared that in all, over 250 Paratroopers drowned in the Canals, the Draconians destroyed all the bridges."

One man pulls his knife and begins to cut his fallen brother from his pack. They then drag the body up the muddy slope and place him inline with the others. The Air held a rancid stench of smokeless powder. Bodies littered the ground, both Reztlian and Thoese of Cadmean, as there was much chaos in the landing. The Troops were in the city. Some areas they were isolated by impassable Canals but they were in. At townhall a temporary Command Post was erected. The populace was stunned more than anything. They remembered that Reztles was one of the two countires that did not use WMD's yet this war. This made them a little quicker to accept there Reztlian Occupation. Small uprises were few and far between, but when they occured were quickly supressed sometimes at cost of Reztlian Life. The External Infantry Charge was much more unlucky than the Paradroped forces. Of the 6,000 Infantry men, up to 450 were cut to ribbons by machinegun nests scattered around the outskirts by citizens who had not already resigned themselves to Death or occupation.

"Ok, boys Im heading over to the east side of that one bridge over there, I found a nice wall under were the supports used to be and It's perfect for settn' up a Foxhole."
"Us and some of the 68th boys were thinking about setting up a Hold'em game later, maybe i can win myself some stoges."
"Alright, I'll think about it, Ill get at you later."

F-16s flew overhead circling the City in shifts, under protection from the Turrets atop the Nearby mountains. An Order from Reztles has sent a Fleet High Altitude Bombers to fly over the gathering forces at the Base of the mountain some several miles out of the city. The bombers dropped 10,000 Kilowatt Bombs, (M.O.A.B's) on the Troops, although not a PR Friendly move, creating 80-yard craters along the Draconian countryside, all remainders of a counter-attack should be vaporized. at least till peace talks begin.
Immortal Dragons

A shower of M.O.A.B.s rained down on the troops gathering at the base of Mt. Olympus.

"By the son of Maximus!" a nameless soldier screamed as rock scrapnel from another M.O.A.B. tore him apart. Brigadier General Yotohiro requested orders from McCoy as his small task force of 20,000 was quickly being ripped apart.

News of the aerial bombardment near Mt. Olympus reached Curtis "Steel" McCoy quickly. In Cadmean itself, Retzlian infiltration had been halted along various canals, with the major border being the Ligger canal, which had been a main north-south transport line.

It surprised McCoy that Retzles would continue the assualt in the current political climate, otherwise troops would never have been stationed openly at the base of Mt. Olympus.

However, that error would have to be lived with. McCoy made a hard decision and ordered all surviving troops around Mt. Olympus to make a suicidal charge up the mountainside to take the peak as the M.O.A.B. bomb drop continued.

Yotohiro smiled grimly as he recieved his encoded instructions. Drawing his saber from its scabberd, he issued a non-coherent cry and personally led the charge up the mountain himself. Seeing his maniacal run, the despairing Draconian troops gained hope and found new energy.

(Retzles might have altered the fortifications upon the mountain, but what the Draconians had there was mostly artillery and anti-aircraft weaponry, but this is a close ground assualt on the peak).

Yotohiro predicted that at least half of his force had perished from the aerial bombardment and many more would die in the charge, but by Maximus himself, they would gain the peak.

---------------------------------

Calling for Better Aid
McCoy, realizing that attack from the air was perhaps the most dangerous to the Draconian defense, aircraft and choppers were requested from Yashibi.

And a stronger, most experienced reinforcement group was acquired from Anjou, the same 50,000 elite that had been to attack Jordantinople and turned back before reaching the border. They were ordered to travel fast and light, but most importantly FAST!

-----------------------------

After requestingthis aid, McCoy returned to the defense of Cadmean.

The Retzlian infantry had been halted at the Ligger canal, a major north-south thouroghfare in the pre-war era.

However, 25,000 Retzlian paratroopers had been dropped in various areas of the city and McCoy was hopelessly outnumbered. So far his forces had kept open the western border of the city and civilians were being whisked out of the city to go through the Cartian Pass (OOC:yeah, just invented the pass, hope no one minds) between Sinai and Olympus and eventually make the long trek to Daelock, where no bombs fell from the sky.

But McCoy did all he could to protect remaining civilians and continue the fight until army group White Tiger arrived from Anjou. McCoy also was reading reports stating that casualties up the side of Mt. Olympus were quite heavy. What a military blunder that had been.

McCoy ordered his troops to flood the canals with oil and crack natural gas lines underwater (i'm not sure if this is realistic...but see if you can follow me) so that the canals soon bubbled over in an explosive froth.

Remote controlled gondolas (Draconian engineers are highly innovative) filled with C-4 were lowered into this highly dangerous mix and guided into Reztlian -controlled areas of the city. Once their predicted blast radii were totally within enemy territory, they were detonated, taking out soldiers unfortunate enough to be posted near the canals.

These explosions also ignited the canals, cutting off various sectors of the city even more from one another, also making a dusty haze which covered the city, to make combat even more treacherous.

McCoy spread a map of the city's major infrastructure across his HQ in the converted Atlas Theatre. Teams had already been sent to collapse sewer tunnels leading into Draconian-held areas of the city but a few had been kept open....

Teams of hundreds of men used a few strategic sewer tunnels to bypass the canals and launch a blitzkrieg attack on holes in the Draconian perimeter. Paratroopers had landed all over the city, sometimes splitting Draconian forces. This sewer attack was to remedy that and make a united Draconian front within Cadmean. And to hold the Ligger Line, keeping Retzlian forces on the other hand, divided.

While far from pushing the opposing army out of the city, it would help Draconia keep the Imperial Flag flying over Cadmean for a few more days to come. Until the cavalry arrived....

Snipers and long-range guns were posted in the high rise buildings of Cadmean to fire into Retzlian held areas of the machines. Machine guns were placed on rooftops to fire upon paratroopers while still in the sky. MX-2.5s nd same said machine guns were used from these rooftops (RPGs are good against aircraft too, right?) to fire at low-flying F-16s, which were almost scraping rooftops in the first place.

Looking at the map next to McCoy, an attendant muttered "Well, it's not quite Anjou yet, is it now?". McCoy nodded. That was the best news he had heard all day and it made it laugh boomingly inside the HQ, raising morale and spreading grins across all that heard it. McCoy laid his hand on the attendent's shoulder, "Precisely."

A black mass of tents streched from the city limits of Herculian to the hills bordering the city. Morgian troops from the 53rd specialist division had been conducting raids in the bombed out city, removing resistance and distributing bread and fresh water to the broken people of Draconia.

"Intel says theres a weapons cache up here, located in the mayor's palace. From the report the building was relatively untouched by the bombs. If we clean it out we'll set up Gen. Durnhust here and we'll finally have a command post in this hell hole..." Spiting into the dirt Sergeant Heinrich slipped a few cartridges into the chamber and signaled for his men to move out.

Kicking the door the raiders intered the mayorial palace, the door creaked open and the specialists squinted to see in the dim light of the huge entrance hall.

"Check the upper floors, you five check the lower. When you find the cache radio me." The sergeant turned as a dull clunk sounded in the room next door, moving the large wooden doors out of the way he was met by a burst of gunfire that glanced the soldier's arm. The aissailnt was dispatched immediatly by the rest of squad.

"We found the cache...Clear the rest of the building and then get the General over here, he should be happy."

Even if you had only dropped one nuke of Herculian, it still would've been decimated. But since we all misunderstood, that's what we've got to go off of. Try to be more clear in the future.

OOC: Bro... like cantelmuim said, were on yor side, but...EVERYBODY is GROSSLY underestimating these weapons, Jordantinople, Morignland, DRACONIA (I no you didnt use nukes, but you roleplaying of damage can make me nauseous sometimes, w/e its in the past) b/c NOBODY will use them anymore...

Morginland, if you dropped even one nuke, there is no mayorial palace, or disheveled populace to spread food to

Jordantinople, if an area recived nuclear fallout, you dont want to be ANYWHERE near there for like...a LONG TIME

OOC: I have little time, so this entry is going to be a lot of headlines, and I hope to edit it later to flesh it out and make it better reading but here you go

Army group White Tiger had been burning rubber over the great vistas of the eastern desert getting to Cadmean.

Nearing Cadmean, White Tiger split into two new groups, Pheonix and Armadillo. Pheonix was composed of 35,000 men. Armadillo of 15,000. Pheonix increased its already restless pace and gained the Catlian Pass while Armadillo held off the Retzlian troops for the necessary time period.

Armadillo fought a fighting retreat twenty miles behind Pheonix. 30 straffing helicopters with machine gun wing emplacements covered Armadillo with a fighter screen of 24. Taking casualties, they reached the pass, and dug in. (Once reaching the pass, I think they should be close enough to cover both the city and the pass with the same aircraft). 20 drillbit armored personnel carriers that had been moving with Army Group White Tiger where nowhere to be found.

Pheonix reached Cadmean at the crucial moment, saving Curtis McCoy and his personal guard from slaughter at his last refuge at the Colt Showcase and Financial HQ building. Only a handful survived from McCoy's original army. Instead of straight out attacking the city, Pheonix set about to encircle the city and move in.

10 SR-71 aircraft, in two groups of 5, with a squadron each for fighter cover, attacked any surviving emplacements on Mt. Olympus while McCoy sent a messanger offering the highest ranking officer on the peak, offering him sanctuary for his army until the peace conference, and 150 million Denarii to boot.

(OOC: Fair? if you want me to include casualties and yada, I'll do that later, this post is a rough draft <<<!)

OOC: Its wrong...all wrong, a lot of these posts during this war I've gotten over, but now this is getting ridiculous.

This post is flawed to death, allow me to continue:

I SENT TROOPS TO INTERCEPT!!!! You can’t split and run from 51,000 Men and 64 tanks. There is a battle at the location... Phoenix is not at Cadmean. There is no way.

Also I have had THOUSDANDS of troops in Cadmean for a couple game months. I can’t be the one to say it, you have too, but Cadmean is mine. Please let’s move on and be realistic. There is no way McCoy and his men could last this long.

Back to the Interception... You never even mentioned helicopters, you can’t manifest these or where there coming from, helicopters in the middle of nowhere, and with no post of from of anything...you can’t use them. I posted my airstrip; my F-16s were posted in my last post that at the interception they would be used. You don’t have helicopters there.

Now, as the defensive player in the interception, please realistically role play damages, keep in mind, I ambushed you.

And (Also BEING REALISTIC) role play the fate of Cadmean (Cause we both now it’s completely illogical that it is still free)

Once you have done this, I will post MY Casualties for both conflicts.

This war is almost over, when it is we can contiune fun and friendly Nation States, Although you do not want to "roll over and die" there will be many more oppurtunites to be a global player in The Rajou.

OOC: Sending troops to Intercept is not the same as ambush. Crossing over my own territory from Anjou to Cadmean I saw you coming from wherever base across the border. Since you were noticed crossing the border by patriotic citizens who then dialed 1-800-ARMYWIN. Henceforth, I can play some cat and mouse. And sending troops to intercept doesn't mean the intercept was successful. It could be an incomplete, missed intercept.

Nearing Cadmean, White Tiger split into two new groups, Pheonix and Armadillo. Pheonix was composed of 35,000 men. Armadillo of 15,000. Pheonix increased its already restless pace and gained the Catlian Pass while Armadillo held off the Retzlian troops. Armadillo was always placed between Reztlian forces and Pheonix.

Armadillo, faced with this monumental task, lost 9,000 troops. This was due to the fact that Armadillo avoided fighting an all-out battle with the Retzlian forces but would rather fight at a defensive location on the dunes, delay and let Pheonix drive on ahead, lose troops in the meantime, and pick up and fight at another location.

Armadillo fought a fighting retreat twenty miles behind Pheonix. 30 straffing helicopters with machine gun wing emplacements covered Armadillo with a fighter screen of 24.

(Post #123, Calling for Better Aid
McCoy, realizing that attack from the air was perhaps the most dangerous to the Draconian defense, aircraft and choppers were requested from Yashibi.

REPEAT: AIRCRAFT and CHOPPERS are requested from YASHIBI.)

Taking casualties, they reached the pass, and dug in. (Once reaching the pass, I think they should be close enough to cover both the city and the pass with the same aircraft). 20 drillbit armored personnel carriers that had been moving with Army Group White Tiger where nowhere to be found.

In the Catlian Pass, where McCoy had been in hiding since the fall of the last Draconian flag over Cadmean, Pheonix found McCoy and his personal guard barely alive, but having maps and charts of the city, infrastructure, and battle reports from the previous defense.

Revived and with new battle lust, McCoy devised strategy and ordered Pheonix to encircle the city. 5,000 troops were left to guard the Pass and pick up anyone who made it from Armadillo, estimated around 5,500 troops.

Sending a detachment of elite troops into the city proper, with McCoy's hoarded city plans and info, a canal center HQ was found in Cadmean. Orders were to flood every canal in Cadmean and drown Reztlian troops.

10 SR-71 aircraft, (from YASHIBI) in two groups of 5, with a squadron each for fighter cover, attacked any surviving emplacements on Mt. Olympus while McCoy sent a messanger offering the highest ranking officer on the peak, offering him sanctuary for his army until the peace conference, and 150 million Denarii to boot.

If this bribe is not accepted, the SR-71s are then instructed to bomb the hell out of Mt. Olympus with M.O.A.B.s

--------------------------------------------------

McCoy, having a little spare time, brushed up on his nuclear history.

....

In the time before the New World Order, the greatest war that had yet been fought in history was World War II. In this, two atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, an aggressive Axis power.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroshima#Atomic_bombing

only 80,000 civilians died in Hiroshima as a result of the bombing.

According to http://www.infoplease.com/spot/hiroshima1.html

"Altogether, the two bombings killed an estimated 110,000 Japanese citizens and injured another 130,000. By 1950, another 230,000 Japanese had died from injuries or radiation."

This was the only time in history before the New World Order that nuclear bombs were used in conflict.

OOC: Which validates every single casualty claim I've made in this war. People overinflate nuclear weapons. I've been to Hiroshima. I walked through and spent hours in the Peace Memorial Museum. I've seen the black marks left on concrete, all that was left of once was a person. I've seen glass shards picked out of survivors' heads twenty years later. People survive. Hioshima has survived. Nagasaki has survived, renewed, rebuilt, populous. It is not a nuclear wasteland.

Popular culture has overstated the military practicality of nuclear weapons.

Another quote: "Two fire bombing raids on Tokyo earlier in 1945 had already killed 140,000 citizens and injured a million more." Which means that the FIRE RAIDS were more deadly than the NUKES.

And since that's the only time nukes have ever been used in conflict, that's what I've based my REALISTIC casualties on, with the knowledge of nuclear warfare I acquired on my trip to Hiroshima while in Japan.

King Carpi had assembled his top military advisors to the underground bunker in which his war briefings had been taking place since the failed bombing attempt on the palacial estate. Glancing around the king signaled to an aid an image of Draconia was projected upon the wall.

"It's a mess in their right now your majesty, I think it would be best to withdraw. Bring our troops back, this was not really our war to begin with." General Vanduin suggested, glancing around for support from his fellow servicemen.

"I gave my full support to those who's war this is....The men shall not be withdrawn. Now which cities have yet to fall?"

"Achilles Heeldom, King Carpi." Came the smug response from the commander of the Waffenhuil.

"Good, how long will it take to move troops up the mountain?"

"A few days...Paradrop could be more suited for the opperation. Although the mountains could present problems for the planes."

"Good, mobilize the 1st,2nd,7th,16th, 43rd, and the 29th infantry divisions. And then send the 19th, 52nd and 24th armored divisions. Try and keep the city intact for the time being."

Armed guides stood atop the watch towers at the prison camp of Gital Fira. Draconian prisoners glanced up fearfully at their captors. The guards had yet to show any agression against their prisoners but the Draconians were on their best behavior non the less.

Slowly the Draconians began to mass together, leaders began to step forward issuing orders to their country men. Yells began to ring out, the guards cocked their sniper rifles, the Draconian leaders in their sights.

A singles shot rang out, blood spurted from the Draconian. The prisoner dropped to the ground, hands over their heads the watched fearfully as the guards returned to their conversations, their work done and the potential uprising put down.

Then orders came, prisoners were loaded into trucks. They rumbled trough the paths of the dark forest. The vehicles wove their way through the impenetrable darkness.

After several hours the engines died, the POWs were unloaded from one truck and herded onto planes. These planes would land just outside of Herculian on a makeshift arifield. The WH men sent them to their destroyed city, they would see the horrors that the war had brought but they were free.

_________________________________________________________________

Tanks rumbled over the rough terrain of the foothills of the Draconian mountains. Infantry men marched quickly beside them.

"Where the hell are we going again?"

"Achilles Heeldom, word has just come down from the high command. We're supposed to take the city without destroying it. That means no RPGs and the tank guys will have to keep their guns quiet..."

"I'd rather blow the place to bits, these mountains are fricking hell hole. We'd be doing these people a favor by killing them."

"King Carpi has ordered that this be done, you wouldn't question him would you?"

Sighing the soldier shook his head and glanced reproachfully towards the Morgian border. The Morgian troops wanted to go home, that was evident.

OOC: Listen, I cant get a hold of you right now, so heres whats going on. If you want to discuss this Instant message me.

We’ve picked apart your post…

Here it goes:

1) Phoenix is not at Cadmean. Although I did not allow the opportunity for your troops to “Play cat and mouse” and/or completely miss. YOU didn’t allow the opportunity to have a successful interception. Your troops may have split before. But Phoenix is half way to Cadmean.
2) Armadillo is gone. 15,000 (your #) vs. my 51,000 and tanks and air support…please… I will allow 1,500 escapes to TRY and catch up with Phoenix. (and 1,500 is a lot in your favor)
3) YOU HAVE NO TROOPS AVAILIBLE – the LAST of your military is the 50,000 (30,000 after Armadillo was wiped out)
a. No people to man the airbases (even in Yoshibi)
b. No men for tech crews and maintenance or PILOTS!!!!!
c. So... NO PLANES! NO HELICOPTERS! NO SR-71s!
4) WHEN AND IF Phoenix gets to Cadmean, you will have 5,000 at the pass (as YOU posted) so roughly 30,000 left to “Encircle” my city with an active garrison of 30,000 (I killed off 1,000 due to disease, insurgency, etc)
5) Canals?!?!? What? In your last post you said you were flooding canals? How? (Realistically) with who? Who gave you the commands? (McCoy is far from the city (at the pass(w./out the 5,000(there not there yet, see 1)))
6) Those SR-71’s that you don’t have pilots for, or tech crews, or maintenance, or air base/ ground support or economy for…yeah…they are reconnaissance only; they have no guns, no missiles, and NO BOMBS! (see How to Make War by James Dunnigan)
7) Do you know what a MOAB is? Because you obviously don’t know how to use them. In my post (#122) I said I dropped bombs on a HUGE gather of troops. (20,000 at the base of the mountain.) I only dropped like 3 or 4 of the maybe 7 or 8 I have. They are LARGE Bombs. That make up to 80 foot craters. THEN YOU said 10,000 of your men miraculously lived, and crawled out the crater, followed by a charge… up a mountain peak????? No go. Than you “bombed the hell” (Dragons, post #133) out of the peak (With SR-71s that can’t hold bombs, with inexistent pilots and crew) with a shower of MOABs?!?!?! That doesn’t even make sense? Your imaginary planes would be blown sky high as the first MOAB would ignite the 2nd (while in mid air) which would vaporize your planes, than imaginary medals of Honor would have to be sent to the imaginary pilots’ imaginary families. ALSO what factory made these? How did your cave dwelling exiled government order and pay for these?!?!? How?
8) When the 30,000 remaining troops in your ENTIRE military arrive at Cadmean, (If they get there (Remember I have a tank battalion with my 51,000 and Air support)) they will be facing great Odds. Let’s be serious. It’s over.

Jerry the communications guy intercepted the transmission with a stunned look on his face. He dropped his issue of SuperiorMan(C) and rushed to print out a copy of the S.O.S. and wobbled to the chief of operations as fast as his heavy-set frame could take him...

"Sir, Spirtia is under attack! i have all the information right"--

"We already have it under control Jerry. Our recent efforts have been to no avail in Herculian and all of our peace representatives have abandoned the site and have been sent to aid the distress call. Around 25,000 highly trained men and women are enroute to protect the city and will arrive with supplies within the next 4 hours. The rest is strictly need to know information, and guess what. You don't need to know."

The cheeto crumbs barely removed from his seasoned beard, Jerry's face saddened with the rejection of yet another one of his denials from Chief Farhiner. His eyes watered fiercely underneath his thick rimmed specs as he tucked in his bottom lip, his fortieth year on this earth and he still felt like a child. He just wanted to do something good for a change instead of processing requests and undergoing monotonous transmission beacon tests. But no matter, Jerry the communications guy would soon have his revenge.

OOC: Talked to Cantelmium online and am reassured of my position. Reztles, I have not been able to talk to you online in the last few days. I'm sorry, but I thought it important that I post. I waited to talk to you but I never caught you online. So I'm posting.

I would refer all eyes to post #25. Sorry about the SR-71s ppl. I thought they were bombers.

Reztles, I have been more than fair with you over Cadmean. I let you ruin my outer defenses with a few V-2s and then let you destroy a 20,000 man army without complaint with a few bombs. I don't think 20,000 men could fit in 4 80 foot craters. I'd imagine that 20,000 men would take up quite much more room than that. Therefore, they could not all be killed by them. And apparently, you only dropped 4, so many would have survived.

At this point, I'm inclined to say that there were thousands of survivors from this attack and the mountain chage if you're going to be this way over Pheonix and Armadillo.

There is no way Pheonix is not in Cadmean. Anjou and Cadmean are separated by only 200-300 miles anyways. Which if you're traveling at 50 MPH means you get there is about 6 hours at most. If you're traveling 20-30 maybe a day or two. And in game play time it took way longer than that, at most 2 weeks. To defend their locality, I said before you attacked the city that Cadmean was a pick-up point for Anjouian survivors and also that Cadmean was being protected by experienced troops from Cadmean. I will find the posts if you insist.

However, I'm not forfeiting anymore troops or locations. You've had it way easy with Cadmean at this point. Also, you forgot the post the casualties you lost while attacking the city from McCoy's troops, not insurgents and disease after the fact. You never even posted casualties for that, and i lose 10,000 to a non-existent garrison upon Mt. Olympus?

And in game play time, I've been bombing Cadmean for a month now.

Lucius Victor rode at the head of the 1st Field Regiment, having a week ago departed from the Cantelmian borderlands. While the Draconian land around Anjou was no longer hostile, it required immense diplomatic finesse to convince the peacekeepers of Prince Teriathus that their mission was in the pursuit of peace.

Victor had set out from Rai in the early morning in what felt like hours ago at the request of the Crown Prince, Robert. The mission that he had set out on, was a large-scale, yet secretive operation in which the Cantelmian Army had a chance to end the war. Robert, as head of the Cantelmian Imperial Guard, had requested he assemble a large force at Rai, and set out for Draconia, at the same time, smaller forces would leave from the other major Cantelmian cities, and they would link up inside the Draconian border. Victor had been confused by this, knowing that the Emperor had offered terms of peace, but he was still a soldier, and prepared to do what must be done.

He now sat at the head of a force of 40,000 Cantelmian Soldiers, expertly trained and ready for their chance to shine in this bleak and gloomy war. Under the direct command of General Lucius Victor, these men were in high morale and ready to meet their goal. Victor looked down at the notepad he had in his hand, sketchy writing and figures blotted the pages from the jostling of the Vehicle he sat as passenger to. He looked over his notes; a smaller force of 20,000 had set out from Calania as well as a 15,000 man force from Victoria. All of these men were to rendez-vous with Victor at the rainforests near Yashibi in hopes that their next move, could end the war.

Victor sat back in his seat and closed his blue eyes, his short blond hair growing a bit lighter from the light of the warm sun above him. His mind began to wander, idly searching for a preoccupation before the conflict he was about to undertake. Suddenly, he stopped moving. Opening his eyes, he saw what had stopped his men. Before them stood a force of Jordantinoplan soldiers, ravaged and barbaric. 25,000 battle-hardened troops stood between him and his goal. But Victor would not be denied this day; he jumped down into the sand, and walked towards the opposing force.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prince Admiral Alexander put his cell phone away. His grey eyes, starring in disbelief at the wall of his temporary room. His brother was surely kidding. Another strike? But Alexander knew this was no joke. He paced the room for a few moments, letting his older brothers orders sink in before he had resolved himself about the issue.

In the past months, Betelgi had filled up substantially with over 35,000 Marines. They had maintained a suitable garrison of the city and kept the peace. Now it was time to put these soldiers to work. War was still underway, and it was time for the Cantelmian Marines to play their part.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prince Robert stood in the Imperial Palace in Victoria and wondered about the events that would soon unfold. His spies and even allied reports had come in and confimered his belief. President Orionis was weak, and his forces nearly depleted.

Such a foolish and selfish man. His pride and stubborness has denied him any hope for success. He is an embarressment to leaders everywhere. How could he allow his nation to be so wronged, without accepting, nay begging for peace before this. Fools should never be granted power.

As quickly as the thoughts had come, Robert dismissed them. He had more planning to do before the Fool-President made his next mistake.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Elation. It was the only thought that Victor could manifest as he was once again back on the road. He had spoken with the Jordantinoplan raiders who, of course, had received no news of the outside world. Victor was glad to inform them of what had happened, well, not exactly.

He had told them that the Grand Chancellor had not sent reinforcements because he was dead. Betrayed by the vileness of Draconia. That civil war had torn through their home and now nothing remained the same. He said that because of this ill-begotten war, their leader and master had fallen.

Victor smiled again. He hadn't lied, but he hadn't told them exactly what happened. Sure the Chancellor was dead, because Teriathus killed him. But that didn't matter, these men had wept at the news of their leaders death. "First Teriathus and now Jordan!" Were the words on the lips of nearly every soldier. Victor couldn't help but smile again. He had learned well from his master.

The army once again moved forward, this time with the entire force of Jordantinoplan soldiers in tow. A cunning and eager force of 65,000 men now headed forward intent on carrying out the Crown Prince's plan. Take Yashibi. And now, the rendez-vous point was less than a few days march away.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prince Alexander stood in silence, watching the Cantelmian Marine force of 15,000 make their way out of the city. The remaining 20,000 stayed behind in order to maintain the city, with the aid of the Battle Group which had taken up residence in the Betelgian Harbor.

Alexander was still in disbelief of what his brother had told him. The plan was expertly handled, and it was at times like these that Alexander remembered why he stuck to the simplicity of the sea. He turned Northward, towards the open ocean, remembering the peace he once enjoyed before this war. His heavy hands lay against a railing on the former financial building that now served as his headquarters. Soon this dark business will be over. The Rajou will soon begin to heal, now that we have the means to but an end to this foolishness. Victory bless us. The wind began to pick up from the north and a salty breeze swept across the Admiral's face as the first light of the moon began to rise.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack Lister sat on the deck of the HMS Victoria, watching the moon high in the sky. Orders had just been radioed in from Betelgi where the Prince Admiral informed him of their next operations. He was told to get plenty of rest, because the next time he was called to duty, there wouldn't be rest for awhile.

Lister lowered his gaze to the dark water below him. He thought back to his home, his wife and kids. Soon this war would be over. Soon there would be peace.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Emperor Robert stood alone atop a roof as the moon was in full, his eyes holding a secret no living soul could know.

OOC: Cantelmium, I was completely ready for peace. You just never posted the peace conference.

Remember that my border is mined, you'll have to go through that.

And then I'll have troops waiting for you from my 50,000 paratrooper group, no not 6,250, for I have 200,000 men in my air force, check post 25.

Same goes for Betelgi. Troops leaving from Betelgi are actually in worse shape as I'm going to hit them with multiple M.O.A.B.s (and other bomb types) from bombers this time and weaken them with multiple raids.

And i believe Jordantinople's army was only 100,000 strong when it hit Anjou in the beginning. 45,000 are in Spirtia.

For any more survivors to be around to join up with Cantelmium is ridiculous. I killed tons of them.

My surviving navy of about 20 subs is attacking your naval force (remember I have wartime production of subs, which I will calculate later).

8,000 troops were found in the Catlian Pass when Pheonix arrived, survivors of the M.O.A.B. attack. McCoy had actually been hiding from these troops, thinking them Reztlian scouting parties looking for him.

Tyrisius readied himself for another day of waiting outside the Cantelmium embassy in Jordantinople. It had been almost a week now since talk of peace began.

Orionis sent orders to Tyrisius to start a peace conference in the makeshift Draconian embassy tomorrow if there was no Cantelmium response again today and invite any representative from any power that would agree to send one.

In Cadmean, 1,000 paratroopers each landed on Mt. Olympus and Mt. Sinai's peaks or near them and stormed the fortifications.

15,000 paratroopers landed in the mountain chain between Betelgi and Yashibi. (Forgot the name, but I've used the mountain chain before. I did not just invent it.)

The Anti-Aircraft guns pounded out rounds as the Draconian Planes apporached the peaks of the mountains. F-16s from the City Below pulled off from there straffing runs on the evershrinking encircling army to intercept the drop planes (OOC: which do not have LOTS of armorment, and you did not post an escort) they made short work of them as air supporority in Cadmean belonged to Reztles.

OOC: Post the following:
1)the amount of planes The AA Guns shot down

2)The amount of planes cut down by scrambling F-16s

3)The amout of Troopers acually made it out of the planes (you began with 2,000, figure 20-30 men a plane)

4)The amount of troopers I cut down as my men sat there and shot at the troopers while they fell slowly (and the Guns still...dont forget)

5)The amount that you honestly believe fell accuaratly enough on the peaks to engage the 175 men on each peak

then...i will post the denfesive response to the VERY FEW succesful landings

Do you really think this is going to work???

My surviving navy of about 20 subs is attacking your naval force (remember I have wartime production of subs, which I will calculate later).

You're high...

Your border is not mine because of a PERSONAL comment you left me. You said you weren't going to mine it because you said they were NUCLEAR mines and you didn't wanna use them.

You have 50,000 Paratroopers, fine. 1,100 are MIA though because they were in the Reztlian mustard gas fiasco.

The sheer fact that you don't know what a MOAB is (and that you will look it up and act as you did) should disqualify your use of them. They are nick-named MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS.

Also, Betelgi was nuked ages ago as you said, that combined with the fact I have men their now makes two things clear.

1. You have no men there.
2. You have no more navy, except for what was attacking Morgiland.

What kind of raids are you going to do on Betelgi? You have only about 50,000 men left and I'm marching on your NEW capital.

Jordantinople still CONTROLS his "loose cannon raiders" because they are left over from his civil war and he said they can join up with me. You didn't kill all of them because Jordantinople told me there were more out there.

If your REMAINING navy is going to attack me, go ahead. I'm the defender now because I control Betelgi. (You surrendered it to me!!)

The worst thing is you cannot keep your posts clear. You don't even remember what you have until you accidently find it again. Everyone else makes reasonable time frames for their operations but your men fly across the world at a moments notice.

I don't care if your the equivalent of WWII Japan. If Japan bombed Their OWN PEOPLE they would have revolted. Reztles took Cadmean, what do you do? You plan to bomb it. Betelgi? Bomb it. Every move you make is completely unqualified for a leader to do and you should completely and fully have been removed by your own people (game terms) months ago.

Your wartime subproduction is a NO because Titan was bombed numerous times and then nuked. (By the way big guy, it's Modern Technology. For us to use smart weapons and then you act like we carpet bombed the area is unreasonable) Even if your factory was still there, who would run it? How would they get there? The Canal to...oh goodness, BETELGI!! I own that! If I saw a sub through their, it would be blasted to hell before it could get to Harbor or open ocean.

PRETEND for a moment to be realistic. You've had 30+ Nukes dropped on you. Lost 3 Cities to enemy forces, Titans no longer useful, at least another 11 more to nukes. You've bombed your own people. Sent them on suicide runs. Forced your spies to commit suicide. Lost nearly 100% of your army, over 60% of your navy. Your (Unrealistic) Space Program is destroyed. Your countryside has been ravaged for over a year by bombs, raiders, regular armies and nuclear winter. (It doesn't matter if we have discrepencies over nukes, you got nuked over 30 times, there are GOING to be effects).

Yet you act as though your people still love you. You don't give a thought to how morale SHOULD affect you. Your soldiers are INDOMINATABLE. (Do you know what ROUTING is? People do NOT fight to the death). About EVERY aircraft you've used either isn't real or isn't used properly. (We do not acknowledge "Bombers" I wanna know WHATS attacking me). The sheer fact we ever let you HAVE X - 35's is a gift that was never repaid. And one of the most important factors. What money do you have? We aren't demons from hell, your people aren't going to work for free. In most cases they should be defecting or surrendering in DROVES.

I know I flew off the handle today, but it was only because I've seen you in what should be your last days, fighting like it was an opening battle. You said earlier that you were not FORFITTING any more troops or locations. Pal, I know it's a roleplay so its up to you what you lose. But it's supposed to be realistic. Your a Republic for goodness sake. This is ridiculous.

You. Are. Beaten.

C- this is to the Immortal dragons, my special forces weren't defeated they were extracted or not found and still on the loose killing you.
- Another 250,000 men and women fighting for the good of Jordantinople deployed and cross the border and on top of that i am training another 250k how to paradrop, and i am building transport planes as well just fyi.---------referred to later...

two more cities have fallen prey to the jordantinoplan suicide bomb attacks and scare tactics.

-----drac-whatever troops that were not commanded by Teriathus became barbarians so to say there are 75,000 men running rampant is a gift. Im fighting over half of them for you, and the only reason cantelmium has control of the remainder is that he made a valid point, and a very good case for tricking the war-wearied, starved, insane men into service

Sand and dust and dirt flew from the tank treds as the 1st Calvary cruised a crossed the Draconian landscape to relive the attempted siege on Cadmean. The 45,000 Army Infantry and the 6,000 Legionaries suffered some losses from the slaughter of armadillo group. But still 42,000 Army Infantry men and 5,000 Legionaries Marched full speed towards Cadmean.
And since

“Anjou and Cadmean are separated by only 200-300 miles anyways. Which if you're traveling at 50 MPH means you get there is about 6 hours at most. If you're traveling 20-30 maybe a day or two. And in game play time it took way longer than that, at most 2 weeks.” (Post #143)

The men are there. (They left the site of armadillo a little after Phoenix did, and if Phoenix can teleport there so can I)

The 5,000 Legionaries marched through the mountains. This took time and would be impossible if legionaries weren’t the pride of Reztles…the best of the best.

The 42,000 Infantry and 64 Tanks marched up Cadmean pass.
Less than 30,000 Draconians circled Cadmean. The Men leaded by the tank division rushed Cadmean Pass. The point at which the men meet resistance was the thickest to protect the Pass, but still fewer than the 42,000 attacking force.

(OOC: if you have less than 30,000 to surround the entire city, (which realistically is a couple miles diameter) you can’t have your entire force to fight mine. And you CANT just send your troops around to fight me. that takes time.)
------------------------------------------------------------------

See. If you never fought in war. If you never have killed, never had the risk of being killed…you have no idea. The shit that goes through your mind. We had been marching for days. Through mountains, through desert. But hey… I loved my job. Regardless of how horrible it was going to hell and back.
We finally broke from the woods. Took them by surprise our job was to cut of Cartlian Pass and dig in until the Infantry boys could clean up the valley.

The smell of smokeless powder…it grows on you, I never likes it before.
The air was putrid with it; we fell out into attack formations, like we drilled times and times before. I was on my belly crawling, firing my AR-15, that I had cared for, and loved. And on this day, she took good care of me. Killing became second nature; likewise, my friends dying all around me had to. We had them, or at least the part of “Phoenix” at our attack point, on their heels. We gunned our way forward. Men dropping to both sides of me, moving from point to point, playing leap from as planned. Taking casualties, but doing damage and sealing Cartlian pass. I though I saw Mc Coy, he was running away… I could have been wrong. But still this day I swear it was he. If it was him, he’s dead, as I shot him in the back in his flight. But dead or alive whenever heard from him again.
64 M1A1 Abram Battle tanks flew into the valley, machine guns a blaze and Cannon blasting away at the Draconian troops. 42,000 men poured into the valley as quickly as such a massive gathering of men could pour. The Draconians were stunned. They fought bravely as the sun set slowly. Every minuet that passed yielded less light from the sun above and more from flashing machine gun muzzles. The Garrison in Cadmean fired on the masses from there defensive positions up high. F-16s were scrambled and Dog fighting the dismal air defense that came from Yoshibi. But to be sure, air aid came from the Small town of Viola, Apache Helicopters flew over the mountaintops and the federate general rode with the Point man. His AR-15 close to his body, when they got close to the ground the Apache’s dropped zip lines and the 750 Marines dropped to the ground. The first one was the tall chiseled figure that sat at the table in the Cantelmium war room and sighed. The Federate General, Tura Dawlin. They fought into the night. The Apache Helicopters begin to gun down Draconians by the masses.

OOC: Uh wow, dude. 3,000 casualties to my 9,000 in Armadillo, what the hell? On open ground? I gave you three to one on the mountain peak because of terrain man. On the desert, 3-to-1 is ridiculous.

I think my Armadillo casualties alright now that distance has been clarified. So that makes 5,000 Pheonix at the Pass, 8,000 survivors from the initial assualt on the mountain, 6,000 more from Armadillo. That can hold for a bit.

I read over your post about the paratrooper drop. I'll give you 80% losses, regarding that I believe you have like 20 or 30 fighters in Cadmean, right? So I'd imagine that not all of them can leave the city to defend the peaks. And that you wouldn't want to fire AA guns when having your own aircraft in the air. So that's 200 per peak for me, to attack them. RP it please.

Due to the numerical similarity, I have 300 men each run up the mountains from the Pass, defended by the front line of paratroopers already landed on top (so they aren't killed on the way up).

You still haven't posted any casualties for the time I defended the city in the beginning, when McCoy was there. You said you lost a 1,000 to disease and insurgents. What about when my official army was there? So not 30,000. And then figure in the bombarding please.

I'm going to say that when you're attacking the pass, I drop 20,000 more paratroopers inside the valley. These 20,000 rush to the Pass. AA on the peaks shouldn't be able to help right now because I'm assualting them and they'll be preoccupied. THIS paratrooper drop is guarded by 4 squadrons of fighters to battle for air superiority in the Cadmean valley.

OOC: This ain't fun. Everyone except Jordantinople has gone berseck at some point now. Though Jordan, you used nukes on the second day of war. That wasn't cool. Maybe I've lost it too at some point, I think I've been cool and stepped back when I went too far. But maybe my self-analyzation sucks..........................Please send reps to the peace conference I'm starting tomorrow due to the lack of Cantelmian action.

I'd like to play you guys in a game where there's not all this ambigiousness. There's been a lot of "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" in this war. I'd like to play you in a game where there's little ambiguity and set rules, set forces. Such as Risk. Or maybe an multiplayer army game such as one of those Command and Conquer games. OOC: I have recently acquired an arsenal of 100 tactical nuclear weapons.

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=463119&page=2

It seems I have no more port cities,

Captain Akira of the Draconian Army, relieved of his diplomatic duties in Betelgi, was given another important mission of vital importance to the Republic.

Codename: Ressurection
Objective: Secure the cargo of The Ark

Akira with 5,000 paratroopers met with the Ark in a undisclosed natural harbor location along the coast of Draconia. The 100 KT nuclear LGM-118A Peacekeeper missiles were unloaded into C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft with an accompanying escort of 24 F-22 Raptor and 36 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets.

These Peacekeeper missiles were placed in nuclear silos surrounding the city of Dunro in the northern plains of Draconia. Special care was taken to put the nuclear silos out of practical range of tactical nukes on the city itself and of other silos in the area. Akira positioned himself near, but not in Dunro, to keep track of the silos and keep their locations undisclosed as well as their number.

Akira was told that tactical nuclear deployment on enemy military forces had been authorized by President Orionis if events unfolded to that impasse. The scientists had told Orionis that such limited use of nukes inside Draconia would probably have a minimal effect on the nuclear winter that already EXISTED over much of Draconia.

President Orionis continued to plan his exit strategy in this civil war in the Rajou.

In Cadmean, where the war was hottest, Reztlian troops and Draconian infantry and paratroopers were fighting in 2 locations, Catlian Pass and the city proper.

19,000 troops reinforced during battling in the highly defensible Catlian Pass by 20,000 paratroopers fought Reztlian reinforcements from conneting with less than 30,000 troops within Cadmean proper.

(The mountain peaks are presumed to be in Draconian hands)

Looking for a speedy end to avoid attrition within the city, President Orionis ordered McCoy to send an envoy into the city proper and retreat the 30,000 man army encircling the city to retreat in the mountainsides and await the outcome of McCoy's envoy.

McCoy's Envoy

Addressing whatever Reztlian army brass that came to meet him, the Draconian soldier sporting a white flag made out of the purest silk had this to say.

"To the brave men of Reztles,

You have been a worthy adversary. Your military prowess has been shown. However, you are not welcome upon Draconian soil and never were. We would like to stop this disgrace to the city of Cadmean at this time. We offer you this one chance for your surviving forces to walk out of the city unscathed, but without arms, and be escorted back to the border.

If this request is not heeded, it has been ordered that the WMD stockpiles of biological and chemical agents (STILL) stored upon Mt. Sinai and Mt. Olympus be opened and use the prevalent northerly wind in this valley to blanket the city again in such toxic gasses as mustard gas. Your forces will therefore be completely dissolved. We will bury your bodies with honor at the base of Mt. Olympus. We will even let your families visit.

This is your one chance. When I have your decision, I will instantly radio it to McCoy and this battle, and hopefully, this war, will be over at last."

McCoy while supervising the defense of the narrow Catlian Pass, suddenly realized a weakness in another area of the campaign.

He quickly reassigned troops to guard the Cadmean Pass at the other pass of the valley, in essence forming a larger perimeter around Cadmean.

Some Reztlian troops were attempting to climb the steep mountainsides around the Pass but due to the terrain, troops were able to move to parry such thrusts with time to spare.

This was a tempting offer. The Draconian Army had bullshited and manifested everything and seemed unstopable. maybe they were...but maybe...maybe not. McCoy and Orionis (yes hes there..no no stop...Hes there i dont care what you say, check your intel again) stood infront of the general. He was scared. He didnt no what to do. The Draconians were kicking ass and taking names, and nothing seemed to be able to help.

BUT WAIT?!?!!

How could the general forget?!?! with the Draonian Brass infront of him he spun and turned to the 3 billion Reztilian Troops still left in the valley and yelled..

"MEN!!! SUPER POWER MORPH TIME!!!!"

All 3 Billion men jumped into the air, with the super cool power rings shinning in the sun. then they all began to glow, as seems of light tore there bodies into pieces, 7 foot 1 inch Super Beasts from the planet Clacpakcahtnac Emegered. Supe Jacked, Super Strong, and super asskicking, the federate general...i mean Galatic War lord, Oedipus grapped both Mc Coy and Orionos in each hand, and ate them. The Draconian force of 13 men (the other whatever thousdand instantly commited Sepaku at sight of the amazing beasts) were no match for the kick ass aliens.

The City was in Reztles' hands, and the women of Cadmean were lined up and raped by the super beasts to make ridduclously awsome half human, half Clacpakcahtnacian Giants.

Oedipus moved to the canal within Cadmean. It was bloody from Draconian Bodies (It had to be Draconian Blood becuase Clacpakcahtnac's dont bleed, even in Reztlian Form If you dont belive me click this very informative link (http://www.warwickwrestling.com))
He noticed the blood , stood up and Yelled..

"The Draconian Rivers have indeed, run red with Blood!
HAHAHAHAAHA!!!!"

He then hit a button on his super cool Wrist Command center/Stop Watch and all Draconians in existance died instanly, thus ending any chance for retallation ..becuase there all dead.

OOC: You are truely stubborn. Don't bother responding to this.

FYI you don't have any bio-chem agents anymore. You destroyed them. You are in no position to make demands. I'm not going to list the problems with your post. You have short term memory and don't want to lose the roleplay. But it's Nationstates, you can't lose. The worst that was going to happen, is that we roleplay a little war, it was for fun. I don't think you understand you can't WIN. You WERE in a position to make peace early on, denied that and waited until later. Then we offered it again, and you were mad because you lost Cadmean before the conferrence. (For numerous reasons, sorry my life doesn't revolve around NS and I had personal issues to attend to). Now you just go out to other nations and get nukes, nevermind the fact you have no navy and live in a cave. (Must be a cave with instant messaging so you can issue EACH troop their orders AND make shoddy, desperate grabs for WMDs to pretend to look powerful. I'm again sorry for not posting a Peace Conferrence, but the people who know me will attest to the fact that I was REALLY busy with other things.

Anyway, this has gone on too long. If you want to start a RAJOU SANCTIONED peace thread, IM me and we'll work out whats going to happen and then post about it. (Because it's a roleplay, it's about the flavor and the experience, not the fake technology *X-35*). But regardless, I'm gonna have to finally do this...
