The place Simon would awake was called Limbo. This plane was ruled over by the Ronwe Masters of the Realms. Their solitary duty was to guard Time and Space from the involvement of extra-materium beings. But then it expanded past that to other things from the being's past life. Things that would involve them and by the rules they could involve other Ronwe in their quests. Although they were extremely powerful that power existed outside of the Materium and to bring it into the Materium was exhausting to the Ronwe. The Ronwe could manipulate time in such a way that they could watch it and appear at any time and place they chose. But to interfere with past events and to share knowledge of the future was forbidden. As well they could only be killed in Limbo and doing so there would be rather difficult. Mercer stood over Simon's body and said, "Wake from your slumber Simon."
