If you don’t know what any of the animals are then just type in the names on Google Image and you can find them fairly easily.

This sounds quite cool. I would just like to know a few things. All the target creatures are Star Wars inspired, I see. Can the information on various Star Wars fan websites and a few of the books be trusted, then?

About these Boga chaps: I've seen in the movie that they're agile. Do they fight at all? That could be pretty sweet, one of those suckers biting at something.

And by the way: I'd almost argue the point value on the wampa. Those suckers are supposed to be pretty smart, judging by freezing Luke into the roof. And the teeth-ah! The teeth! The teeth!

Go ahead and trust the fan sites, though in some things i may have changed somthing or added my own info. though this will be rare

Boga are able to fight, I have considered moving them from a transport animal to one of the hunted because of their speed and combat ability, not to mention that they are dead quiet when moving…

As for the Wampa, thy may be smart but in this they will normally be found alone and a Wampa is not that fast and aside from being stealthy a group of armed people can handle one fairly easily, but I guess they can have a little of a boost.

Fair enough. That makes sense.

I like this idea. I'll enter into this, I think. Give me a little while to write up some ideas.

Why is it modern tech when most of the animals are future tech and fantasy?

well...they arn't really FT if you think about if. they could live in MT times and they don't class as Fantasy in my book. in my NS world the Nexu lives on Earth as a real animal as do the rest. and i would not find a FT hunt that interesting because a Blaster can kill almost all the animals on the list in one shot

hrmm. Sound alright. Put Gizka on the list. They multiply so fast. Have a comp where it's a room of 30 gizka. You have to kill them as fast as possible. And it could be FT. Downgraded Blasters or use Vibroblades. Or Bowcasters.

OOC: i can't find any info on the Gizka, save for they are in KoTOR but i have never played that game sadly.

Vibroblades if just foolish..a nexu would kill you in a flash...Bowcasters are truly about the same as any other balster and i for some reason really want to do this with MT

Sounds good - I am in.

Indeed. Half the joy of the hunt is the fact that buddy might put you on his wall.

Very well. I'd like to begin. Here's a description of the character I'm sending:

Tev the Cocky. (or, as he styles himself, Tev the Brave). He was born in an obscure Mahrian fishing village on the edge of the jungle. He hunted and fished for a living, but gained his name by his consistently risky actions. Tev is armed with a pair of bowie knives and an absolutely massive rifle. He's picked up a pair of infa-red goggles, along with a Mahrian invention known as the "Iron ear" that picks up and amplifies sound.

His only companion is the Bantha he's rented from a Nebarrian firm. Twenty-four years of age, he's still in his prime. He's a good shot, with excellent reflexes and a great deal of jungle experience.

He is, as you might guess going to the Balrathy Jungle.

OOC: which ones live in the jungle, by the way?

OOC: cool, thanks. Here's my first little episode.

Tev rose early. The jungle sounds that surrounded him were more or less familiar, to he who’d grown up in similar forests. He selected clothes from the bag balled up as a pillow, hauled on camouflage-coloured pants and shirt. He’d tied his sleeping bag to a nice, wide branch, and it took him a few minutes to get down out of the tree.

A few moments sufficed to clear enough vegetation for his exercise. Sweat beaded the café-au-lait skin of the young man as he ran through several long katas. The native Mahrian two-knife behket exercises were easy, familiar. Unarmed combat was less practiced, though. Tev had far from perfected the karate he’d been taking lessons on. The the repeated flaws in one of the katas aggravated him enough to give up.

Grumbling, Tev reclimbed the tree. The small backpack he put on carried two meals and a first aid kid, while a long knife rested on each hip. Lastly, the Mahrian-made sniper rifle (illegal for civilian use) left it’s familiar weight on his back. The young man set out, eating breakfast as he walked.

Luck was on his side-he rapidly saw the unmistakable trail of a herd of Reeks. (Nebarri Prime didn’t have any elephant trails to mistake it for.) Tev caught a trace of sound, the rumble of several huge feet. He stuffed away the half-finished dried meat and sped up from his previous amble to a light run.

The rumble of walking Reeks came close enough that Tev slowed down. He checked the wind, grumbled a little at it’s direction. Tev circled around quite out of his way to be sure he kept downwind of the creatures. The delay was worth it, though, for when he came upon the herd they hadn’t noticed him.

There was a pair of females, an adult male, and a half-grown younger one. They were in a wide clearing, totally exposed. Tev had almost walked into right into it, but caught himself just on the edge of the forest. The big male turned his head, suspicious of the movement. Tev barely breathed. His stillness was enough. With what seemed like a shrug, the massive creature went back to grazing.

Tev lowered himself slowly to the ground, so he could lay the gun on a tripod to steady it. He hadn’t noticed the dried out little plants beneath him. The crackle of dead plant was just enough to reattract the male’s attention. It started ambling over, a rumble in it’s throat.
