Yuuzhan'tar, Capitol World of Talaax

The tiny transport descended towards the surface slowly. It's designated approach vector was designed for that. It gave plenty of time for the planetary authorities to intercept a threatening vessel.

The transport was carrying several tonnes of raw material to be sent to the coralskipper fields on the planet's southwestern quadrant. To all, even the crew, it seemed a normal shuttle on a normal mission. On board, however, was something that promised to bring much destruction and disruption to the Creche of the Gods. On board was Shoon-mi Esh, Yuuzhan Vong Shamed One and Jedi Knight.

Fueled by a desire to aid his fellow Shamed and bring new life to the Yuuzhan Vong people, Shoon-mi had snuck aboard the transport and stowed away to Yuuzhan'tar. With his trust lightsaber and the Force at his side, he knew nothing would stand in his way. As the transport touched down, he thought of the uncertain future ahead and smiled. Uncertainty was the way of the future, but with the Force as his ally he had no doubts about what lay in his future...

4 Months Later, A Slum for the Shamed

Whispering voices broke the silence of the starry night as the word was passed from home to home. There was a visitor to the slum this night, an important one. Over and over the same phrase was whispered into ears. "Yu'shaa is here! He's come to speak!"

Yu'shaa, The Prophet, had come to the slum. Word had reached these Shamed a few months ago about a man calling himself "Yu'shaa" had appeared on Yuuzhan'tar and begun preaching a new law and new covenant with the Gods. It was more than an honour for the Shamed to be in his presence, it was a blessing. News of his arrival had spread faster than lightning across the planet and almost as fast across the entire Empire. Shamed Ones everywhere whispered his name and repeated his message. It was only a matter of time before the Elites discovered him, but no one thought of that this night. All they thought about was what he would say.

Stepping to the podium, which was little more than a tree stump, Yu'shaa (OOC: Shoon-mi for those slower readers) surveyed the small crowd who had come to hear him. "Brothers! Sisters! I bring you the word of the Gods! Not the will of the Gods, but the word! Through me, the Gods will save you, but through me alone."

"For too long the Yuuzhan Vong have wandered the universe destroying technology, wiping out whole species and slaughtering innocents! This is not what the Gods intended for us! Those who rule over you may say "The Gods wish destruction upon technology and it's users." This is not true! If the Gods wished it, it would be done! But is it done? No!

Truth be told, and a great and shocking truth it is, the Gods do NOT hate technology. They embrace it as they embrace our servants. They embrace the other peoples of the universe as they embrace the Yuuzhan Vong! And, as children of the Gods, so should we! Technology is not our enemy, it is yet another gift from the Gods! Who are we to deny a gift from the Gods?

For too long the Yuuzhan Vong have refused to acknowledge this gift! I say no more! Embrace technology and embrace the all-encompassing power of the Gods! This is the first part of the new philosophy of the Yuuzhan Vong. Go now and tell all of this new philosophy and I will return again and give you the second part."

With that, the Shamed Ones left the meeting area buzzing with hushed conversation. Although none rejected this new philosophy, many did not fully embrace it. It would take more time, but more time was what Yu'shaa had. The more time that passed, the more Shamed Ones would join the new movement. Already they numbered in the millions and thousands more joined each day. It was only a matter of time now before it began spreading to the rest of Yuuzhan Vong society. When that happened it would be like termites in a wooden foundation. Eventually the whole structure would fall. Eventually...

Corridors of the Imperial Court, Yuuzhan'tar

The corridors of power were surprisingly quiet on this day. Many of the members of the court were in the far corners of the galaxy or the various prefectures of Yuuzhan'tar investigating rumours of a widespread heresy amongst the lower caste and lower stratas of the elite castes. This new heresy had begun to infiltrate deep into even the elite castes, everyday hundreds more heretics were denounced from within the five higher castes.

Something had to be done about this heresy. If it were allowed to grow and prosper it would eventually topple the entire Yuuzhan Vong society. The very foundation of Yuuzhan Vong life, the Gods, were under attack by a new "interpretation" of their will and intentions. This heresy must be stopped soon.

In the office of the High Priest of Yuuzhan'tar, a report on the growth of the heresy is delivered. The young priest charged with giving the report almost shook in fear as he did so. "... Reports indicate that supporters within the Shamed caste number in the tens of millions. Projections for the growth of the heresy amongst the Shamed show an exponential growth within that caste. Eventually the entire caste will come to support this heresy."

"Among the higher castes, the growth and membership numbers would seem to be considerably lower. However, there are still several million members estimated to be within these castes and hundreds more join each day. The heresy is like a wildfire, the longer it is allowed to burn the more ground it affects."

The High Priest glared at the young man. The estimates the young man had just delivered were astounding. Tens of millions? How was that possible? This Yu'shaa was a very dangerous foe indeed... "Thank you, I will deliver this information directly to the Supreme Overlord. In the mean time, have our priests step up their activities amongst the Shamed and lower levels of the higher castes. We will fight proselytizing with proselytizing..."

Deep in the southern rainforests of Yuuzhan'tar

More Shamed Ones had come to seek the message of the Prophet this night. The clearing was full of them, sitting around in various states of relaxation, all staring at the one man each had come to see.

Yu'shaa stood on a tree stump, delivering yet another sermon. "... Brothers! It is time the oppressive caste system be abolished! One man's shame is another's pride. Who are the priests to declare that we are unfit for service to the Gods? They are no one I tell you! They are no better than us!

The Gods favour us just as they favour them. We are only blessed with different attributes and abilities. One day, my friends, I tell you - there will be no caste system. There will be no inequality amongst the Yuuzhan Vong. The Yuuzhan Vong will live in peace and prosperity. We will live in harmony with our neighbours, not constant petty struggling!

This future will not come about peacefully, friends. We will have to rise up and make it ourselves! But the time is not right yet. Soon, however, the Shamed and our supportive brothers in the higher castes will rise up and take our future back! You will know when to rise up. There will come a sign in the skies. A star will burn in the skies brighter than the sun but at night. When you see this sign, rise up and take your futures back!"

The crowd cheered as Yu'shaa stepped down from the tree stump and walked off into the forest. These Shamed Ones would go back to their homes and spread the word of Yu'shaa. Soon the whole of the Empire will rise up against the oppressive regime. Soon...

Southern Rainforests, Yuuzhan'tar

Shoon-mi sat alone in the darkness of the early morning hours. He sat cross-legged with his back to a tree, concentrating on the Force. He sat completely motionless, calling the Force to him. He reached out with the Force, across the void of hundreds of lightyears. Master...

He sent the word to Jurai. To the Jedi Temple. To Master Alex. Master.... The time has come.... The message burst out of him, traversing the seemingly infinite distance instantly. It was accompanied by a mental image.

A ship. A planet. A ringed world. Yuuzhan'tar. A light in the sky. An explosion in space. A spark. A revolution.

The message was sent, whether it was received would have to wait to be seen. Emerging from his meditation, Shoon-mi stood and returned to being Yu'shaa.

Imperial Court

"The heresy must be crushed! Ruthlessly. Find this Yu'shaa and kill him. Find his followers and kill them, no matter how high ranking they may be." The Supreme Overlord was angry. For almost a year now the heresy had grown from a tiny pest to a potential revolution. Already, Shamed Ones were refusing hard labour. Already the lower levels of the elite castes, and even some higher levels, were working less efficiently. This heresy had infiltrated every level of Yuuzhan Vong society. It had to be rooted out and destroyed now or it would mean the end of the Yuuzhan Vong as they are presently known.

"Yes, Dread One. Your will be done."

And so the order was given. The hunt was on. The Great Purge had begun. Yu'shaa would be found. He would be given a dishonourable and horrible death. His followers would receive more of the same. The Elites wouldn't rest until every last heretic was dead. There would be no mercy....

Alex Masaki recieved the message in visions in one of his common meditation sessions and nodded. It is time.

An old Nebulon-B frigate, ready for the scrap heap, was ordered on its final voyage, a voyage that will surely begin something very, very big. Slaved to a droid captain to spite the Overlord some more and packed with tons of explosives, the Nebulon-B was sent on a one-way coordinate to Yuuzhan'tar itself. (OOC: Go ahead and destroy the thing)

Meanwhile, the Jedi Order prepared for covert actions against the Yuuzhan Vong to help the Shamed Ones...

Yuuzhan'tar

The heretic purge began bloodily with the killing of 10,000 heretics publicly. However, it almost immediately began to go down hill in it's results. A month into the purge the daily number of heretics killed had dropped to 10. The heretical community had grown incredibly large, so large that it was able to take control of most of the lower level heretic-hunting parties. By the second month of the purge, the instruments of oppression had ground to a halt.

Millions of Shamed Ones were now refusing to work across the Empire. All production within the Empire had grown to a trickle. Meanwhile, converts within the warrior caste had begun smuggling weapons to the Shamed Ones, preparing for the time when the oppressed would rise. They had little time to wait, the time to rise up was now.

Yuuzhan'tar Orbit

The Nebulon-B Frigate dropped out of hyperspace dangerously close to the capitol world. Immediately, several thousand plasma cannons were turned on it. It had barely gone 100 kilometers when it's shields began to buckle under the strain of the volume of fire it was exposed to. Still, it managed to get closer. The droid brain knew it must get very close to the planet, nothing more.

And so it piloted the vessel closer. It managed to get within 20,000 kilometers of the planet before it's hull was catastrophically breached by a plasma shot. Within milliseconds the explosives on board were set off, creating a massive explosion close to the planet. Thanks to the planet's orbital dovin basal shielding, the explosion would not harm the planet. But the dovin basals couldn't hide the flash of light in the skies of Yuuzhan'tar. The light that shone for several minutes in the night sky. The time had come. Revolution was at hand...

OOC: Oh very smart.
IC: First Prince Julian K'Tan heard of the rebellion strikes and such, and decided a Talaax accepting of technology and others, would be a better one. So he decided to ready a team of Shadowdancers, his spies and elite agents. Ten of the best people in Starenell readied for a massive challenge.
