The Kuat Drive Yards has been given a new construction project by order of the Imperial High Command: to produce a new of Galaxy Gun for the Empire. Several other projects were ordered delayed or canceled to construct the new space station, which is expected to take a full year (Christmas Day) to complete. The first barrel is expected to be operational within the month for expediency.

GALAXY GUN MK TWO

Hyperdrive: No, must be towed. Will be towed to a secret installation after it's built.

8 Hypergun Barrels, capable of targeting not only planets anywhere in the galaxy, but space stations and large vessels if necessary. For such things, local recon is best to ensure that target is correctly placed.

There are people there, working on it, functionaries who are making sure it's on schedule, people working logistics to make sure everything's where it needs to be. Thanks for the advice. I'm sure to make my next superweapon less boring. Besides, this is a Christmas gift to the Empire. Have to make sure it's on schedule. :D

75% complete. Grand Moff Blathe noted that the Galaxy Gun has fallen behind schedule and sent one of Nightshade's Dark Jedi to straighten things out. Turns out a minor sabotage has occurred, and the Dark Jedi subsequently hunted down and smited the saboteurs. Galaxy Gun delayed several weeks as a result.

90% complete, seven barrels operational. The work has been speeded up due to motivations by Moff Blathe and Nightshade's elder son Janus and within three weeks, the Empress herself is scheduled to pay a visit. Rumors has it that Emperor Remiel will pay a visit as well, making it all the more important that the engineers and other workers complete this superweapon on time...

Now that it's fully operational, the Dark Lady Nightshade has arrived to inspect the Galaxy Gun Mark Two and to personally view the testing phase. A useless mining planet given over to the engineers and techies of the GGMkII and their families and it had the honor of being chosen as the participant in the testing phase. (In reality, the techies and their families have been taken to the planet to ensure that they don't defect.)

The Dark Lady herself and her sons will view the testing on her ship the Dark Lord and then return to Tenetia.

Galaxy Gun Mark Two Activated

From the first barrel of the Galaxy Gun, a large missile shot out into space at high sublights, then kicked in the hyperdrive. Being that it doesn't have any fleshy bits within itself, the missile can accelerate to lightspeed almost immediately and then head anywhere in the outer rim within the hour, perhaps faster.

Forty-Five minutes later, it reverted to realspace near the planet Huan and was immediately besieged by a single droid ship. Lasers spat at it, but it wasn't very effective, for it had powerful shields and armor, as well as very high sublight speeds, more than enough to match the droid fighters that rained out to stop it. A planetary shield went up to protect the planet, but it was futile, for the missile passed right through it as if it was nothing, losing its own shield and part of the armor in the process, but it would not matter in a second, as it slammed into the ground and detonated.

The first thing that occurred was a firestorm that swept across the planet, burning everything in its path. But that was not all, as the few survivors of the storm would note, for the planet itself began to collapse inwards towards the point of impact. Within ten minutes, the entire planet vanished into a large rift in space-time, and then the rift detonated in a flash of devastating energy, regurgitating the matter-into-energy conversion of the planet to obliterate the droid ship, fighters and the four moons revolving around it. There was absolutely no hope of survival.

The Dark Lady smirked as she watched the planet get destroyed, and ordered that the Galaxy Gun be towed to the secret location that she selected, and then headed back home to Tenetia. Her son Janus grinned coldly at the power the Galaxy Gun would hold over his enemies. Her other son Jesse simply watched the proceedings without emotion, though the next time he is alone, he'll promise vengeance for their murder. With the Galaxy Gun now operational, it was only a matter of time before it would be used once more.

Remiel applauded; stepping up beside Nightshade and her sons, his nephews; he chuckled wryly; gauntleted hands clanking and clicking together; eyes gleaming with feral power and madness, witnessing the destruction that the weapon caused.

"A fitting symbol of Imperial Power; a fitting countermeasure against any foe; however....It is flawed. If anyone were to deploy any form of Inhibitor field; the weapons would be reduced to conventional thrust....As such; we must look into the possibility of equipping the shells with some form of the Dimensional Array" He strode across the Command Deck; reaching out to cup the stars in his fists; to laugh once more at the power he now held; now wielded like some terrible tyrannical God.

"And how do the young Princelings view this new weapon?" He raised an eyebrow; regarding his nephews with a cold, appraising Chronosian malice. They had promise; they were his kin, after all; blood of his blood; flesh of his flesh; he had never had children, and so these little Sith; these of Masaki and De Drakan blood; Coredian and Chronosian dynasties merged...Amused and intrigued him.
