Rebuilding an Empire (Attn Thrashia)
Planet 089E, Near the Horizon System
The air was amiss with activity. Hundreds of marines rushed to and fro to various tents that had been set up on extreme short notice. Fighters flew low over the planet, and dropships hit the ground with a loud thud, unloading supplies or personnel then taking off and rocketing towards one of the many capital ships in orbit.
Captain Davis removed his helmet and wiped the sweat from his forehead. It wasn't hot, far from it. This part of the planet was nothing but miles and miles of endless flat plains, and a breeze always kept them fairly cool. No, this is where, any minute now, Thrashian portals would open and all the survivors of their planet would swarm out. He was in charge of the Marine detachments here, and it had already taken a rather large tole on him.
Some hundred thousand marines had been pulled from leave and other assignments and rushed here, along with hundreds of medical, technical, and other military and citizen personnel. Everyone was showing some degree of strain for some reason or another, the marines, though trained to endure it, especially. Having to act as coordinators, police, handymen, and various other roles had them dispersed. Not to mention the fact that High Command was slightly nervous at the thought of several million foreign military troops suddenly appearing on a planet just outside Parlimian borders.
Suddenly, a great cackling filled the air, a sound like lightning striking repeatedly. Countless portals began opening not far from the main marine base of operations. Uneasy marines took up defensive positions along some of them, pointing weapons at the glowing masses uncertainly. A tense silence fell over the observers as the portals lay dormant for a few moments.
Then the crowds of Thrashians stumbled through, and the uneasy marines were pushed quickly aside as groups of doctors and their staff ran to tend to the injured as they appeared. The Marines moved away, and began setting up camps for the populous to stay in, organizing them as best they could.
Captain Davis donned his helmet, straightened his armor, shouldered his rifle, and hurried off to located the Thrashian emperor when he appeared.

In their millions Thrashian citizens came through hundreds of portals. They saw the marines of Parlim and for a minute stopped, thinking they had fled one enemy to find another, but then they saw the doctors coming forward, pushing aside the marines, and they were reasured.
Families stayed togethor as best as possible, doctors and marines ushering them into camps. City elders from Thrashia stepped up to doctors and handed them data disks with all the information of each citizen that was in their respective cities back on Thrashia.
Several large tractors and other heavy machinery came through several other gates, their operators shifting gears and being motioned into large roped off areas by marines.
The Trade Guild, whose ships could enter space, entered through their gates and hovered off in an area west of the majority of tents. Armed Imperial Guardsmen standing around them; for they carried the wealth of Thrashia, its gold, diamonds, raw materials. Anything and everything the Guild could get out.
The Imperial Guard came out of their portals in neat formations. Their commanders saluted the marines and began moving off to the east, while a few regiments stayed with the marines and began helping citizens. The military walkers and battle tanks were rolled into other massive fields in large areas, and we starting to be guarded by Thrashian and Parlim troops.
In space, the remnants of the Thrashian Imperial Fleet arrived, the last bits of the 1st-8th fleets. The 9th Fleet had yet to arrive, since Admiral Viersan had been to far away from the warp tunnel to enter it, and had jumped into hyperspace, as had Grand Admiral Schwartz. Parlimian medical vessels were manuevering around and through the fleet, docking at ships that were calling for aid.
Finally, a portal opened and out stepped a group of black armored Imperial Guardsmen, and were followed by Emperor Shadaum, his wife and their two children, and his aides.
After a few minutes of wandering past portals and checking to see who was leaving it, Captain Davis finally sighted the Emporer, exiting a portal away from the main group, accompanied by a group of soldiers Davis could only assume were the Thrashian presidential guard. He nodded to the group of marines following him, and walked calmly over to the Thrashian leader.
Davis approached Shadaum, the black-clad troopers eyeing him suspiciously, and struck the standard military pose, saluting him. He cleared his throat silently and spoke as formally as he could. “Emperor, welcome to Planet 0893E. I am Captain Davis of the Parlimian Federal Marine Corps. If you would follow me, High Marshall Mexico has requested your presence in Port Hope. A dropship is waiting to take you to the Supreme.” The Supreme was the flagship of the 3rd fleet, one of only five Monarch-classes in existance, and the most heavily armed and armored class of vessel in the entire fleet. How High Command had managed to pull it away from a deep-space tactical assignment was beyond Davis, yet mattered little. He noticed the others standing behind Shadaum, and spoke once again. “Of course, your wife, children, and aides will be welcomed as well.”
Davis nodded politely, then led the Emperor to a waiting dropship. He eyed the leader nervously, yet kept it hidden. He wasn't sure how he would react to be transported in a military-grade dropship. It certainly wasn't built for comfort, but thankfully the journey would be short. The Supreme was in a close orbit.
As the dropship lifted off, a group of Phantom-class fighters formed up with it, extending their shields around it and flying in close formation.

Shadaum nodded solemnly. "Yes, thankyou Captain. My wife and children however need to rest." Shadaum turned to one of his servants. "Dorn, see to it that a place is set aside for my family. Have a couple of Guard assigned to it."
"Yes your mejesty," said the old grizzlied man. The man guided Shadaum's wife and two teenage children to the side, several black armored troopers followed.
Shadaum turned back to Captain Davis. "Now Captain, perhaps if you will escort me?" The captain nodded, and led the Emperor to an awaiting vessel, six black armored guards followed as well.
The dropship lurched slightly as it left the atmosphere. Davis looked away from the Emperor and out the window at the pilots in the cockpits of the Parlimian fighters. He watched them for a moment, flicking buttons and changing headings to match the dropship.
As they neared the Supreme, Davis marveled at the fleet HC had gathered. Flying in close formation with the Monarch were two Sword-of-the-Republics, four Lonestars, and a single Plague-class. Turning his head and glancing out the opposite window revealed even more capital ships in orbit, ranging in the dozens. He knew a large number of ships had been diverted here, but didn't expect this much. Parlimians ships usually never congregated in large numbers other than in the capital and in battle, and to see smaller frigates and corvettes weave between the Thrashian ships made the sight a more spectacular one.
Finally, the dropship slowed and landed more gracefully than usual (because, after all, they were carrying someone of much import) in the docking bay of the Supreme. The door dropped open, revealing a portion of the crew and marine compliment standing at full attention, forming columns up to the Captain, who was in dress uniform, and the Executive Officer, awaiting the emperor at the end of the docking bay.

Shadaum disembarked down the ramp of the shuttle and half-bowed to the saluting men. "Greetings commander, I believe Marshal Mexico is awaiting me?"

OoC: Sorry for the slow reply, short attention span.
“Yes sir, he is. My XO will lead you to him.” The captain said, with a salute. The XO nodded, and motioned for Shadaum to follow him. They left the docking bay, a group of marines not far behind. The group walked down countless winding corridors and elevators, eventually reaching a set of double-doors, with two soldiers standing in front.
“High Marshall Mexico awaits you,” the XO saluted Shadaum one more time, then turned and walked off, the marines accompanying him. The guards looked the man over, then turned and entered in a code on a keypad by the doors, which slid open to reveal one the spacious VIP suites of the Monarch class.
Inside sat a man in his late forties, with carefully trimmed short brown hair, and a similarly up kept goatee. He wore a black fleet uniform, adorned with many metals, along with the falcon-like bird that represented the Federation, emblazoned on the chest. On his collar, where rank would normally be indicated, were two silver spread-winged Peregrines. He was muscular, and had a pistol in an ornate holster, at his hip.
He looked up from numerous papers and datapads resting on his desk, and smiled grimly. James Mexico stood, his posture reminiscent of a long military career, leaned over his desk and held out his hand for Shadaum to shake, and spoke in a deep, throaty voice.
“It is good to have you here, Emperor, although I would rather you not be here, noting the circumstances that heralded your arrival.”

Shadaum motioned to his men to await outside the room. He entered and looked at the man sitting behind the desk piled with papers. He seemed to be a fairly adroit officer, after all not any fool can come to command such a ship, then again nor a fleet of these.
Shadaum shook the man's hand, and smiled grimly at the comment. "Indeed sir, that it is. I would prefer we had been able to beat off the Empire and its allies, but unfortunately, the damned Khurgan forced my hand. I am grateful to you and your nation for your quick assistance, and your gracious hospitality."
“We wouldn't dream of not giving it. Of course, the planet and its system is yours. We have no assets here other than a small mining facility on the asteroid belt, so its fairly unspoiled. There aren't any sentient lifeforms here that we're aware of, so you don't have to share it with anyone,” Mexico motioned for Shadaum to sit down in one of the large, comfortable looking leather chairs in front of his desk, then sat down himself.
“Now, to business. Thrashia has just taken a huge hit in just about every way, and we are offering every help we possibly can. We are prepared to give you a long term, low interest loan of five trillion USD. Packaged with that, I have personally contacted several private construction firms that are willing to help you reconstruct your cities, for which we will foot the bill. Your people are welcomed to stay in our cities, if they wish, and your military vessels have already been cleared for repair and refit in several of our large shipyards.”
“Our navy will protect your system, and the marines can act as police, until your military is able to once again, and we could sell you some ships or technology if needed. I'm afraid that's all we can do, the rest is up to you. The names of several construction companies, as well as the locations of docks for your ships are on this datapad.” Mexico pushed a pad across the table to Shadaum. “Of course, you and your family are welcomed to stay in Port Hope, in the Grand Palace. I rarely go there, so you may live there until your own home is constructed.”
Thrashia

Shadaum took the datapad and nodded. "Thank you, its all I can say presently. And the loan will be of very good use. I have about 2 trillion saved in multiple galactic bank accounts from trade surpluses and the Imperial account my father set up about 50 years ago, so money should not be a problem.
'How many planets are in this system, besides the one we're on, but I expect thats in the datapad correct?" asked Shadaum. The Marshal nodded. "I will see to it that my Grand Admiral Schwartz, head of my military, gets in contact with you when he arrives. He will most likely be the mediator in most things. And thankyou for the offer of housing, but I wish to stay with my people at this time. They will need me now more than ever, and I would be found lacking if I did not do my duty to my people."

"Damn. That's another one dead. Now I have no choice but to move Optischer into Thrashian orbit under cloak. We've got to locate the revealers, and stop them before Thrashia discvers about us, and our mixed pasts. They'll learn the secret that my family has held for generations."
The emperor turned towards the button pad. Pushed cloak, then contacted command.
"Move us into Thrashian Orbit, we're taking a delay from our current target."
"Right away sir!"
OoC: Despite the fact that nearly all of the third fleet (including a Monarch, two Sword of the Republics, and several Lonestars) is orbiting your new planet? Nothing at all. :p And good luck moving into orbit cloaked. There are so many ships moving around that place it's likely to get hit by something.
“Of course, I understand that completely,” Mexico sighed, “These will be hard times for Thrashia. Just know that we will stand by you. Now, is there anything you want to know or need? The Supreme will remain in orbit for 72 hours, then depart. I should like to have a formal meeting with you and your generals and me and mine in time.”

Shadaum returned to the planet, along the way he began contemplating what he could name the new planet. And indeed, as he read the datapad, name the four planets in the system. According to it, the system held three temprate planets, much like the one his people were currently on, the other two were ice-ore planets. Shadaum new that the Merchant Guild would love to start mining strait away to regain lost profits.
And as he thought on it, he would need to have all of Thrashia's movable possesions taken from the Mais system and sent here. He made a note to remind Grand Admiral Schwartz.
Over the course of two days the Thrashian Fleet and Army worked with a renewed fury as they put up over a dozen pre fabricated military bases that could hold several thousand people. The construction companies that Marshal Mexico had given Emperor Shadaum were contacted, and already several of thier engineers were looking over places to start construction of the large massive cities that would once again house the citizens of Thrashia.
In the mean time, Thrashian and Parlimian doctors helped to keep the population in clean habitats, and keep disease from spreading, with vaccinations ordered all during the day.
Grand Admiral Schwartz himself arrived on the second day, along with the Large 600 mile diameter Epion Station. It was damaged but not heavily. Its massive amount of men and supplies were transfered to the planet to help with relief and controlling the population. Along with Parlimian marines and Thrashian Imperial Police, the populace was kept from getting into civil disturbances.
Overall it was a good start to the reconstruction of the destroyed Thrashian life.

Captain Davis' life had become extremely hectic very quickly. Since the High Marshall appointed him military representitive to Thrashia, what he usually had to do had doubled. When not tending to Marine duties, he was in meetings with Thrashian officers, or sometimes the Emperor himself.
The clones of the Thrashian army constantly made him uneasy. Their complete obedience and willingness to do anything their commanders officers told them, plus the considerable weapons systems they possessed meant they would have no problem turning on the people who had risked themselves to help Thrashia and masacering them. Granted, Thrashia was an ally and not in a great position to suddenly turn on Parlim, the thought commanded more and more attention in the Captain's mind.
Nevertheless, he ignored it best he could, and put everything he had into doing his job, and doing it well. He wouldn't let the Federation down because he didn't like Clones.

"I am sure gentlemen you all know the gravity of the situation before us," started Shadaum. Before him sat the assembled high command of the Thrashian military. "We have been kicked out of home and harbor to a strange new place, but thanks to our allies," Shadaum nodded to Captain Davis who was standing nearby," we have not perished. I am officially cutting off contact with the Galactic Empire. According to Colonel Foller, the enemy has no real clue as to our present location," said Shadaum.
Colonel Foller was the head of the Thrashian Intelligence Section, known as Seele. He sat at the end of one table brooding.
Shadaum looked at each of the five men seated before him. Grand Admiral Schwartz looked tired and worn, having just got in system on the Epion; General Mathis, commander of the Imperial Guard, had a quiet grim look; Field Marshal Brody, commander of the Felix Legions, was also grim; Field Marshal Muller, commander of the Dominitian Legions, was the only who looked enthusiastic.
"Grand Admiral Sschwartz, your performance was exceptional in our defense and enabled us to escape. What is the current condition of the Fleet?" asked Shadaum. All eyes turned to the tired looking admiral.
Schwartz sighed. "We lost the following gentlmen:
2 Sovereign Super Star Destroyers
412 Praetorian Cruisers
359 Star Destroyers
7 Super Star Destroyers
10 Scorpion Carriers
34 Shadow Cruisers
6 Crusader Space Stations (all)
40,000 droid fighters
14,950 Tie Fighters
3,435 Tie Advanced
2,190 Tie Interceptors
1,230 Tie Phantoms
389 Tie Missiles Boats."
He read it off a small data pad. "Over all we're not as badly damaged as I had thought. Though the 9th Fleet took the most damage, I will most likely have to re-orginize the fleet," said Schwartz.
"And what do we presently have to defend ourselves with?" asked Shadaum.
" 36 Praetorian Cruisers, 1,017 Star Destroyers, 15 Super Star Destroyers, 26 Scorpion Carriers, and 53 Shadow Cruisers," said Schwartz. A great sigh of relief swept the assembled men. "But," added Schwartz, "less than half of our Star Destroyer contingent is at combat readiness, most need repairs. I have my tech crews working round the clock, and most ships have their own repair crews. I suspect the entire fleet could not operate as a whole for a while, it could be several months at the least before they can all operate togethor."
Shadaum nodded. "We must mearly be thankful that so many survived, I had thought the worst when Chronosia had entered in on the Imperial side..." Shadaum trailed off, then turned to the Field Marshals.
"Gentlemen, what is the state of the army right now?"
"We succieded in bringing more than 80% of our equipment through the warp tunnels. However, besides the movable shield generators, we have no AA capabilities to defend our new home," said Field Marshal Brody.
"But other than that all of the Felic and Dominitian Legions were fully brought through, not a man was left behind," said Field Marshal Muller. Both men had been very pleased with the success of the operation.
"Very well. Gentlemen, I believe Captain Davis here will soon be escorting us to see the High Marshal Mexico, who is of the high command staff of Parlim. He has kindly asked to see you and speak with you," said Shadaum, he turned to Davis who nodded an affirmative.
'Very well gentlemen, we are now going to rebuild, bigger and better."

The Imperial Fleet found nothing but an abandoned system. Under orders of the Emperor Shadaum, the Merchant Guild and the Fleet had evacuated with everything they could. Mais I, the main planet, had been scrapped of everything. The Forge moon above Mais had been decommisioned, its equipment sent aboard ship, it was now just an empty shell of what it once had been. The Thrashians had left nothing behind for the Empire, and had disapeared all together, leaving no trace.

"Sir, I've just been informed that the first of operations for the rebuilding of Gestiegen have begun. The ground breaking took place about 12 hours ago," said Dorn Fili. Shadaum nodded wordlessly to the old servant. He was engrossed in a blueprint that Colonel Foller had given him. He looked up however at Dorn.
"Be so kind as to tell Colonel Foller to present himself before me?" asked Shadaum. The servant bowed without a word and left, and came back a short time later followed by the head of Thrashian Intelligence. Shadaum leaned back in the chair, he sat in the tent that was his present home. He had refused to be in one of the military pre-fab bases, or even take the offer to be in the Parlimian palace. The colonel saluted.
"Sir?"
"Colonel, these blue prints you've presented to me and the document attached...they are in my opinion quite expansive for such a time," said Shadaum. The colonel, a very hard person to read stood perfectly still as if they were discussing the weather, his silver hair and beard (strange for a man of only 38) sticking out from under his military cap.
"However, I will allow for you to build this command center of yours. We may well need it in the future. I have detailed some 300 million taken from the army's budget to yours. I hope my faith in you will not be displaced?" asked Shadaum. The colonel smiled.
"You can count on me sir. I will see to it and the picking of the site, if you don't mind of course."
"Indeed, you may leave." Colonel Fuller saluted a second time and turned and exited the tent.
Shadaum turned to Dorn. "Now, can you hand me that data pad, the one with this system's spacifics. I need to decide on a few things," said Shadaum. The old man handed Shadaum the small black rectangle that was the datapad that Marshal Mexico had given him. He read through it. He had come to the decision to name the system they were now in the Julian System, and thus name the planets accordingly.
Julian System Description
Julian V - A large planet, Julian V has a few super-continents, one is mainly temperate, spanning from north to south pole, while the other lies on the equator and is primarily tropical, others are spread along different areas of the globe. Precious ores are in abundant supply in most areas of the planet, litterally covering the ground in some places. Shadaum has decided to have move at least a 3rd of the population there, and allow it to become the mining part, giving it over to the Merchant Guild as well as to the large food corporations who could produce food en masse and through cheaper means. The planet itself is about the size of Jupiter.
Julian II- A planet covered in molten rock and metal, Julian II has been sanctioned a Forge World, it's enviroment is lethal to humans except that humans can survive there with the proper enviromental suits. The Merchant Guild has been given full reign on the planet, and plans for making large factories orbiting the planet, for extracting the precious ores and metal, are already in place and being executed. It has two moons, and the Guilds have already made plans to model them after the Forge Moons in the Mais and Thrashian systems that Thrashia was forced to abandon.
Julian III- The Capital World of the new Thrashian Empire location, is not disimilar from Julian V, except that it is more tropical and has 5 large continents and several dozen smaller but large islands. The planet is rich in most natural reasources such as crude oil and minerals; diamonds emeralds and rubies. Emperor Shadaum has already sanctioned most of the production areas under the Merchant Guild.
Julian IV- Julian IV has been turned into another run by the Merchant Guilds, here massive droid factories manufacture the weapons, armor, and ship components for the Thrashian military. It is to be a major strategic asset, and its defensive grid plans are thus far the heaviest planned besides Julian III. It has one moon, which is also planned to be a center for the new Imperial Academy for the Thrashian fleet. The planet itself is not special in any real way, with only the smallest of oceans and only one large super continent upon its face. It is also the smallest planet in the system.
Julian Prime- Julian Prime is similar to Julian III and V in most respects, it is habitable, contains a great deal of natural resources, and heavy areas of concentrated natural reasources have been sanctioned to the Merchant Guilds. The planet itself is planned largely to be given over to the large farming population of the Thrashian citizens and auto-food plants for the production of the Empire's food supply, basically to turn it into a big food basket. It has no real military importance, however the army does have plans to keep a base on it, as on all planets, and has plans of recruiting once again from the populace instead of continually relying on clones.
Shadaum nodded, and made a few remarks in his journal. He leaned back and sighed, he was tired. He rubbed his eyes and looked out the tent flap. The large spreading populace of Thrashia was there. Soon we will rebuild our empire, and we will become even greater than before...like a phoenix rising from the ashes, he thought.

The three gunships dived from the skies like falcons. The sky was calm and bright blue with the occasional cloud going past its painted canvas. Clone troopers hung their legs off the side of the gunships, toting their guns on their hips.
They sped over high mountains and over emtpy grass plains until they came finally to another range of mountains and entered a near hidden valley. They landed at its center, high towers of the trees stood over the landed ships.
Colonel Foller stepped off one of them. Clone troopers spread out and fanned into a defensive position. Several other men, dressed in hiking gear and holding strange instruments came forward as well. Fuller turned to them. "This is the place correct?"
"Yes, Adamantine and Lime stone are all here," said a man, he wore thick glasses. Another, a younger man, nodded. "Yes, according to my calculations the cavern is about thirty miles beneath out feet."
"Good," said Foller. "Begin our operations." He turned to the clone captain. "Captain, construct your base camp here. I want the regiment here and this forest cleared within forty days, bring in any neccacary equipment."
"Yes sir."
OoC: Trash, stop ignoring me and change your planet descriptions. This isn't a request.
