In an urban ruin of Tiopiac city. Several generals enter the site with wonder of what was to be expected. Their silence moments were severed when a huge clunk was heard throughout the ruins. They ordered their guards to be ready to fire. As the stamping of metal grew louder the infantry grew anxious and almost fired. A giangantic mech appeared in front of the men and gyrobot exited from the front. The mech's stature was not that mighty to some of the soldiers. It looked like this

Gyrobot said with a seemingly appologetic voice: "Forgive me if I raised you ire gentlemen, I was just ensuring the test run of the Artemis mech was successful. But anyway lets get to work." However even gyrobot's apology could not be taken lightly and have to be enforced with discipline General Whiteworth with a rough voice: "Drop and give me 20 soldier, you nearly got the army wasting ammunition on you." Gyrobot complied, he knew not to anger the higher ups since he knew the mech's distribution test also pends on the generals' opinion on his attitude and manners. After the punishment was administered. He continued: "As you all know, HERCs, Herculian being the full term or mechs as many nations called it. Are regarded as an obselete piece of weaponry by many nations due to their broad exposure, inability to balance itself and also cost effectiveness. I am here to demonstrate in the field of making this HERC work. With that gyrobot entered the Artemis, with a roar of the engine it marched into an obstacle course. The first thing was speed. Gyrobot quickly configured hydraulic status to create a constant rhythm between hind and front legs. The Artemis moved gracefully and then it reach a wall. However Gyrobot press a button that caused it to do a nice spring up in the air and landing with much grace. It then entered a plattform test where the mech must make sure the legs touch the flat asphalt or the mech could fall. Gyrobot does so by first pioritising on leg's pressure then moving another leg until it reach the next test. Combat, its was tested on evasion, accuracy The first one gyrobot has to get past an MG's fire without getting hit. Using its propulsion again it jumped high in the air and landed between the two office buildings in nearly perfect landing then it drop with its legs pushed downward with a thud, crushing the mg. Next was a firing test where a mechanic loaded the mech with ammunition and the 8 targeting lasers locked and fired several RPGs at the targets, effectively destroying 16 using the rocket's combined fire. with that the test concluded and some of the generals clapped in awe. Gyrobot has passed the test and now hopes the Artemis will enter producion.

OOC: I do like the design at work here. Four legs are more stable than two.

There are a number of people here on I.I. whom I have jokingly referred to as "mech-racists" on account of they refuse to acknowledge anything that walks over something with treads, citing the usual canter against them: "legs are more vulnerable, shelltraps, treads are faster/lower profile, blah blah."

With that in mind, I think a design like this that focuses on mobility will appeal to the more moderate I.I. viewers. Good luck with that.
