CLN-68 Morsky-Orol Class Light Cruiser
The original Mosrky-Orol class Light Cruiser was introduced by Novikov and it immediately brought the attention from the Kriermada. The result was the purchase of three. Most unfortunately, two of the three were completely sunk at the Naval Raid of Feathermore Trench as a result of a single nuclear tipped Malatosian SS-N-54 Sunburn Anti-Shipping missiles. The third was severely damaged and underwent repairs that would last for two months. To replace the ships the Kriermada originally intended to return to Novikov, but unfortunately years before the Feathermore incident Novikov had become a crown posession of Azazia. Therefore, the Kriermada decided to take the last ship available to them and take the idea and expand on it. In effect, they increased the diameter and length of the main guns, added their own advance surfaceto air missile launchers, included six close-in weapon systems and all in all upgraded the design from what could be considered old generation sensors and weapons deployed on the first design to fully competitive sensors and weapons for the newer generation design.

The task set before the Light Cruiser is to formulate light shipping that's cheap but competitive when it comes to warfare. Indeed, a mere three ships were able to stave off a much larger Malatosian fleet west of Beda Fromm during the Raid of Feathermore Trench. Had more than three light cruisers been deployed there would have been a much greater difference in the amount of damage exerted. Otherwise, the ship would also be the perfect commerce raider. Regardless of the job set before it, the Morsky-Orol is quite the compliment to any fleet and its services go beyond that of a light cruiser.

The Morsky-Orol is also intended for production for smaller nations incapable of fielding larger numbers of larger variants of ships. Whether for a small or large nation, it should prove a rather valuable piece of equipment nonetheless.
