OOC: 40K Nation setup - assistance please

The Holy Fleet

OOC: Hello,

Being a fan of the Warhammer 40K Universe, I intend to start a nation based in this concept. Specifically, I'm planning a nation based around a section of the now-fragmented Imperium that has fallen under control of the Holy Fleet, seeing as the Navy had significant power within the Imperium having a virtual monopoly on spaceflight. However, I was wondering whether it would be possible to assist me with certain details regarding the ships of the Imperium - I have a knowledge of the vessels being a player of Battlefleet Gothic, however the game is never specific on certain information such as vessel size and crew complements, which are obviously required for me to calculate a Space Navy.

I appreciate any help availiable.

can't help much with fleet, but I know more about military setups (never was a BFG player that much....) if you need help with that.

EDIT:
When your MILITARY budget is big enough, you can purchase several IoM ships in my store front.

I suggest probably Googling your queries.

Although some people on here might know a lot about Warhammer 40K, i on the hand haven't played the game so i am not sure about any of the stuff.

All sources point at the Cobra being 1.5 km long. I suggest digging out a measuring tape and doing a bit of math. Or making your own ships. Oh, and making up the crew is pretty much mandantory, although I suggest around 200,000 non-servitors on the battleships and such.

I'd love to help, but you're asking for information on the ONE aspect of 40K I know almost nothing about.

Okay, thanks for that info. I was reading on the Wiki that Cruisers are also generally regarded as being 3-6 kilometres long, so that gives me a bit of comparison.

If anyone has any further information, I'd appreciate it.

Well, here's what little info I've got:

http://www.specialist-games.com/battlefleetgothic/assets/lrb/5BFGshipsofgothic.pdf
(Someone showed that to me, I forget who. Thanks to unknown kind soul!)
You can draw your own figures from there if you'd like.

Or you can check here:

scroll down that link and you can buy some stuff from Falcania if when you get enough $. Make sure to shop around at some of the other ships there though, some of them are great deals. It's great to be cannon, but that shouldn't stop you from creating the most efficient fleet possible.

Since no one here seems to have posted it yet, here is a GDP calculator that will tell you what you have.

Thanks, this info helps a lot. :) Going on the concept of the Cobra being 1.5 km, I may have to do a bit of working out on some of the other ships.

Anytime. Just don't ask me about anything army related :D

There's a reason my military only has a light peacekeeping ground force lol.

'Hmm... this world is revolting? Meh. Do we have any peacekeeping forces there? No? Okay people, begin orbital bombardment on three!'
