This huge flying disc just appeared over the city, and it shot this huge cannon and...
It's like a wasteland nothing's here!
How many people died today? I dun wanna know. All I know is this is BAD BAD BAD!!!
I left the city as soon as that THING came. I just had a bad feeling... and now this.
I need to calm down, get my thoughts tgether. I'm taking a vacation from my congress duties, it's just too much

It's official, we're under attack.
I was driving out of town when I saw a huge spacecraft lower upon the Freedom Tower in Erunise City. People have described it as a "flattened Death Star" and that's not too far from the truth. It's a massive round disc, with all manner of strange structures dotting its hull. In the center is a recess resembling a satellite dish. As I stared through my binoculars, this dish fired a massive blue column of some kind of energy down upon the Freedom Tower, which vaporized before my eyes. It was quite clear: whoever sent this spacecraft was definitely not friendly.
Today I'm prepared to ask for reinforcements. Our meager army of 2,000 cannot possibly fend against an attack of this scale, certainly not with the technology we're up against. I'm sure other first-chair congress members will agree with me: we need outside help.
Right now, I ask foreign powers for whatever they can offer. Most of Erunise is in chaos right now; the government will be unable to move for a few days. What we need is something to stem the tide of this oncoming invasion.
Please?
(PS: I just talked with Liz, and she's a nervous wreck. Her mom died in the attack... I would have demanded she take a vacation if she hadn't have suggested it herself.)
