Many would never know it, but in the far reaches of space alien intelligences look upon on the rest of all existence with genocidal contempt. For millennia they peered through strange telescopes, watching spare faring and lesser evolved peoples and races. They learned all they could, absorbing knowledge like a collective sponge. Soon however, as all planets do, their homeworld began to die. Too long had they sucked the very essence of the planet from its core, and soon it was near collapse. So, the entire race gathered in great ships and launched themselves into space. They wander the stars, without purpose, save but for one thought: Hate.
They hate every other living thing beside themselves. From gerbils to ignokepts from Pluto, they hate. Why they hate is a question even they cannot answer. Some say it is their destiny to wipe the universe clean of all “impure” beings. Some say they should lash out like a child against those who have more then them. Others still don’t bother to ask: they just want to kill.
Now the armada, the Horde of Doom as it will be called, has its alien eyes cast upon a moon inhabited by Humans from Earth. They have begun a quick one-year study, seeing how the people act, how the weather is and how the planet works. They are firm in their plan of extermination, after all their science has stated that bipedal forms cannot support intelligence time and time again.
The moon, called Juniper by its inhabitants, is roughly the size of Earth’s moon. The dominating race are Human, but with technology on the level of Earth during the 80’s. With no way of detecting the fleet, the Horde of Doom has crept upon the moon, and sits upon its doorstep.
And now, the bloodletting will begin
200 Tripedal mechs(OOC: Those tripods from War of the Worlds, the Steven Spielberg one) have been shot unto the planet, carrying 5 pilots each. The moon regards itself as one nation and so each mech has landed in a major city. Now Juniper must face a war totally alien to them, with intelligences far beyond their understanding.


(OOC: I need some one to rp. This will be my first, and will be a kind of practice…. so go a little easy. Your first post should be a general reaction. The mechs have landed, but are still hidden in their craters and are not visible.)

IC: The fleet watched with anticipation. 200 Tripedal mechs had been launched, and so far none had been lost. They were now just beginning to activate their systems.

On the ground each pilot was a little bit nervous. It was going to be The Hordes first invasion, and the posterity would be needed. Slowly each system was activated, and a low hum escaped the mechanical monstrosity. Soon they were up and out of the ground, and viewed the strange beings before them.

They were odd to say the least. Fur on top of their heads, standing horizontally on two legs, and quite small eyes. They gazed at the machines with innocent awe. Some waved, some cheered. The pilots were hesitant. Soon a head popped onto the viewer.
"Remember your people. Vanquish our foes so that this planet can propel us even further..."

OOC: Ill rp with you. I promise to go easy on you. Im still trying to develop some of my own warships so forgive me if alot of this sound like the Yuzzah Vong from SW but.



A small Manta Shaped ship watched the incoming fleet torwards the small moon. The moon was The Combines next target. All the other worlds around them were starting to lose valueable resources. These... new creatures were attacking. Quickly a small battlion of Manta ships were scrmabling on the near by planet of Juni. Itwas the newest conquered planet and did not have much defensives but going deeper into Combine terroity would be another story.



The Xen ships got ready to launch a small strike upon this Horde of Doom. They would not stop The Combine expasion. They needed the minreals more than anything...

(OOC: Thanks, and what kind of ships are the Mantas? I'm still learning what frigates and various other classifications are. And how many are in a battalion?)

On Juniper

The pilots heeded the call, and let lose. Their weapons made a crackling sound as they fired. Instead of baking or freezing what they hit, they basically hit the victim with a rip in the dimensional void. The persons atoms can not stand the touch of the 8th dimension, and are removed from existence, leaving only their blood behind.

Now they ran. The tripedal mechs went into lance mode, allowing for a beam lasting 4 minutes to be shot out. In this way they could wipe out huge numbers, with but a touch.


In Space

The fleet soon detected the ships approching them. A small force of alien ships. From where they came was unclear. The fleet however numbered in the hundreds of thousands. Carriers, Frigates, Corvettes, some ships no human could ever guess the purpose of.
(OOC: As soon as I know what type of ships the Mantas are, I'll say what are launch. Thanks again for rping. :)

(( Mantas are shaped like Manta Rays from the ocean. they are Mechnial/organic beingings from Xen. They come in three diffrent sizes. The ones the size of a boat. The normal ones the size of an average of a star fighter. They can fire blobs of acid to melt threw the enemies shields and the ship itself and can fly over them and emit a high charged laser beam immediately destorying a small ship. THe biggests ones are Like Star Destoyers from Star wars but still shaped like a manta Ray. They are used to BDZ planets that belong to the enemies and launch regular Mantas.))



The small group of Regular Mantas investgated the scene before them. There were many ships and they were sending alerts to near-by Combine controlled planets to start scrambling fighters. This would be The Combines first majior battle since taking over there first planet.

The Horde deemed the incoming beings as a threat, and quickly began to attack. 12 BeeHive carriers(Stats posted below) moved to meet the threat. They each carried 150 fighters, together forming a huge force of 1800 fighters. They began to spew forth their fighters, like a huge cloud of insects.

The Mongoloids used a special kind of fighter. The Squid, as it was called, was quite large and used a group of small lazers combined into one to fire. It cooled quicker but had a much slower rate of fire.

The huge nest of Squid fighters locked the Mantas into their sights and fired as one. The Mongoloids had spent their entire life in space, and so were better then your average pilot. After their opening shots they swirled around the enemy, a nest of hornets engulfing their foe.

Stinger corvettes went on high alert, watching for larger ship movements. The rest of the fleet however, was lackluster at best. The core of the fleet, the WorldShip, felt it had nothing to fear. It was protected, as was the whole fleet. And if anything started to go sour, they would jump dimensions and use hit and run tactics.

THe Mantas where able to fire some shots of there specializedacid but the 20 were quickly destoryed. The combine soon realized this enemey meant buisness. Already 12 Spikers were coming to assist the battle.



Though about half the size of thhe beehive carries tthey packed quiet a big punch. They fired many spike missles from there entire ship. Thoush some would be thwarted by the shield it would decrease the Beehives shields if hit.


Also coming in behind was Xenian Assulat/transport ship. It carried about 310 mantas and fired acid and intergrated laser cannons.

They started heading to the battle field expecting a huge space battle...

IC: The Spikers were deadly. The Mongoloids had not inticipated living ships. Around 40 fighters were hit and downed.

More of the enemy was not a good thing. Still, the world ship still was safe, and so the battle would carry on. The Squid fighters shot towards the transports, firing as they went. The plan was to get in close, so if another ship fired on them, it would hit the transport.

The corvettes were commanded to stay close, and instead send out another, more deadly ship. The Narthalotep Heavy Cruisers. Two were sent out, drifting towards the incoming living ships. They stopped, directly in the way of the Combine beasts. They would wait to see how the fighters did, and then they would fire on the incoming ships. In the meantime each cruiser took aim on the Spikers, each Heavy Cruiser having 48 Laser cannons each, and fired upon the Spikers. The lazers would, hopefully, rend the Spikers to bits, allowing the fighters to concentrate on the transports.

The Spikers where slowly beinging torn apart. Those that did not fire there spikes were ordered to fire upon the new ships entering the battle. The Mantas scrambled to protect the one Transport in the battle while other M<antas when to enage the heavey cruisers. The Mantas engaging would take advantage of there speed and fire there laser beam from there under-side over the cruisers in hopefully hitting the the control center.



Meanwhile Combine ships were in the 4 planets controled in this area where on high alert and setting up huge blocklades if the Horde decided to attack there planets.

Captain Xipetec watched the view screen, and gazed at wonder at the living beasts. For awhile his crew had thought they were fighting space monsters, and only recently did they realize that the were part of an attack force. The fighters outside of the cruisers(the original ones) were retreating to the HIVE carriers. The remaining Spikers would be dealt with.

The two Heavy Crusiers, The Tlatoc and the Xinti'ne, released their fighters but held their bombers in reserve. The Tlatoc fired all of her railguns on the Transport, in one massive bellow. Both the ships however held their lazers in reserve for the Mantas...

As the Mantas swept in, they locked on and fired away. The Mantas would be comming in close, so the lazers could fire more accurately. With 48 lazer cannons each, they could handle the Mantas easily


Planetside

The Tripedal mechs(Or Tripods as the pilots nicknamed them) had wiped out all lifeforms withen a 20 mile radius of any city they landed in. Chaos had spread and so far it seemed no real resistence could be mustered. So they tripods continued on, killing any human they saw.

The transport was falling but it seemlying was aiming at the Tlatoc. It was going to smash right into it if it had the chance. The mantas decided to go on an all out asdsulat attacking whatever enemies they could. Some went as far as to kamaize themselves into both heavt cruisers.

Meanwhile the Combine had setup a very large defense ion there 4 worlds. If this new threat took any of the worlds they would make sure the fleet was mangled and burned before it go on.

"Sir....they...they're coming right for us!"
The assualt ship was heading straight for the Tlatoc, a living lance. If the assualt ship hit the Tlatoc it could seriously damage the entire ship. So it would have to be brought down. The captain screeched his orders:
"Fire both Heavy Lazers onto that Assualt Ship!" The heavy lazers would destroy the Assualt ship totally.

As for the Mantas, each Heavy Cruiser carried 36 fighters and they would be deployed now. Both the Tlatoc and the Xinti'ne fired their Squid fighters into space. Both the fighters and the 48 Laser cannons on each Heavy Crusier would fight the remaining Mantas.

After this battle, communications with the beings behind these ships would begin. Perhaps a deal could be made...

OOC: Isn't that cruiser a bit small to carry 72 fighters? An Star Destroyer can only carry about 60 and its 1,600 meters long...

They still had one shot. The transport started to glow an eerie purple and was getting closer to the the heaey lasers where oblterating it until it self-destructed. It causing a huge blackash wave at many ships in the area causing mantas near by to lose control and smash into other or enemeies ships. THe Combine had been defeated over this space but they would not stay down for long.

The self destruct sequence was a shock. Most of the fighters were downed in the resulting expolsion, not to mention the out of control Mantas. In fact, many of the enemy fighters were still being cleaned up as science vechicles poured onto whatever piece of flesh they could find.

Juniper was now undisputed property of the horde. It was time to show that. A cruiser carved the symbol of the Horde, a Three-fingered hand clutching a planet, onto the moon's surface. Reports were indicating that the Tripods were doing well, and terraforming would begin. All life would be sucked up and used to power the very ships of the Horde.

But as for these alien creatures that had attacked them, the Horde decided to meet with them personally. Perhaps the two races could better understand eachother...

The combine waited. This area they had taken was almost purely organic ships. They had few machine ships but they were expermetnal. If one could study the four planets they would be getting grayer and it seemed all resoirces were beinging stripped.


Large Black Citidals could be seen all across the planet but most of all it looked like some big testing ground. The combine were expermenting with new Bio and machine ships. One of which was about to go online. BUt the combine would listen to this new species if they had a worthy proposution.

A message was sent to the planets were Combine force were thought to be:
"Ack ack ack! Ack! Ack, ack! ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK!"
<We are sending one of our crusiers to communicate with you. Perhaps a deal can be made regarding your biological ships. We need coordinates to renadevous with one of your ships.>

The combine translated the message. The concil talked about it for an hour determining this could prevent a war that could draw other planets into it. They did not want war with a large scale republic or empire.


They transmitted a message back. " Shhhgfghjlk;drhgklll* many sloshing sounds.*(( Meet at the center of the planet Juni and the planet you have conquered.))

4 Mongoloids awaited in each pre-requested place. They found both areas to be uncomfertable, a far cry from the WorldShip. Still, they would wait for the Combine...and get their hands on some bio technology.

Three spikers emerged infront of them and two transport/assualt ships followed by some Mantas. A channel was opened between the ships. A very dark and wet voice talked to them. " What is it that you want from us." said the voice.

"Technology. We want you bio-technology. We want to know everything about it, in every way possible. The question is: What do you want from us?"

There seemed to be a laughter. " Fools. we never give our stuff away. we only trade minerals and resources. Never ships. They ours. The enemey must learn to fear what it cannot have. We need nothing from you when we can easily take it from some place else. we our the The Combine. Conquers of many diemenisions and planets." said the voice on the other end.

"Perhaps. But we can lend you military service in exchange for knowledge on how to build our own living ships. This is better yes?"

" Your military service is not needed. No one but Combine shall have combine techonolgy. You can try to reverse engineer our worrk. Make your own copies but they will never be as good as the orginal ones. That is our final say." said the combine advisor speaking back rather harshley.
