Special news Bulletin from Mondoth National News

Hello and welcome to Mondoth National News: We get the news so you don't have to.

"I'm Ulrich von Schlopennheimer-" "And I'm Roberto Luise-Jean-Friedman"

"There has still been no public statement regarding the explosion that destroyed the Mondoth Aerial Mapping and Survery Co. Headquarters building in Port Triumph earlier this week, Emergency workers say the explosion was caused by several hundreds of kilos of high explosives placed strategically throughout the interior. Althought he incident is clearly a terrorist attack, no group has yet claimed responsiblity for the attack and no official government release has been made. TheAerial Mapping Company has often beent he target of consiracy theories placing the company at the head of secret organizations ranging from the Illuminanti to Aliens but the silence regarding the company headquarters destruction has many theorists now pointing to the company as headquarters for Mondoth's highly elusive intelligence agency. Following the attack by only two days, the shutdown of the Mag-Rail Hub station at Oil City due to an apparent EMP strike just before Mondothian trrops were scheduled to pass through returning from the Coastal front has many analysts believeing that a secret war between the government and some as yet unidentified terrorist organization is under way. More on that as the story developes."

Re: Nuclear Threats

A rogue militant faction of Islamic Fundamentalists and naveiran Seperatists have gained control of as many as ten nuclear warheads and have informed this government that within one week they plan on detonating a warhead in a nation at random. This poses a signifigant threat to international peace, to Mondothian Security and to all nations, if this faction is allowed to detonate even one warhead then the consequences would be unimaginable. As such it is our duty to inform all nations of this threat and to ask your aid in tracking down these weapons and destroying these terrorists, who have already struck at the very heart of our intelligence agency. We need your help in defeating these sick monsters before they can strike again

OOC: This is a continuation of this thread: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=448192&page=8

Background: The Province of Naveira was one of the Original Provinces making up the Mondothian Republic. However the mountainous terrain and limited resources have bred in the region a harsh nationalistic view which has given rise to fundamentalism and seperatist movements. The Last Naveiran Rebellion was a stage for many brutal weapons including chemical and biological devices that devastated many Mondothian cities, the rebellion ended in Naveiran Independence. Recently, though the Naveiran Problem was solved several years after the last rebellion when Naveira Rejoined Mondoth due to political instability and corruption, resentment of Naveirans have grown against the Mondothian Government and a new seperatist movement has blossomed. The Government has tried its best to maintain the peace but now the rebels have acquired nuclear arms and are willing to use them.

The Divided Territories would like to aid your nation, but we first have to inquire upon how we could help. Do you require military aid in your nation, or is this merely a cry to increase the watchfulness of all nations?

While the best we can hope for is increased watchfulness and increased security ont the part of all nations, with the destruction of our Inteeligence HQ we have lost many capabilities essential to fighting these terrorists, Reconaisance sattelites are inaccessible currently and many intelligence agents placed overseas are without contact to Mondoth or any friendly power. To effectively fight this threat we need the participation of as many nations as possible in a coleective intelligence alliance in which our our agents can report to other nations agencies while out of contact with Mondoth and can get necesary supplies from those agencies as well as shared access to sattelite imagery until a secondary Sattelite Control Center can be established.
At this time overt military aid is unnecsary but after the primary threat posed by the nuclear weapons is dealt with, military aid may be needed to root out the seperatists. Int he past the Naveirans have proven formidibale in resistance fighting and any militarya id available when we go in to end this rebellion will be most appreciated.

Mondoth Joint Operations Command Headquarters
"The trains have stopped, it'll take to long to get them running, we have no sattelite imagery of the base and can move no heavy support in for fear of having the opposiiton notice. This is a hell of a situation we're in."

"Yea, Its lookin' like plan B is getting more and more attractive all the time."

"Its too risky, we have no idea what any covert assault would face and there's no way to get them in close, the terrains flat as a pancake and wide open for miles around that camp and the last sattelite images show a high powered air search array being set up."

"We could do this like the Negedev crisis, just with Iroqouis instead of SFDS, no scub gear and we can even get in on all sides."

"Negedev didnt' have artileery he could do saturating counter sniper strikes with."

"We have the GPS lokes on the main batteries, we could Thror those from Camden Bay, it would limit their counter sniper ability. And to save time we could continue setting up for the large scal raid, the infantry and Helos could be there in a couple of hours, from there it would be easy to sneak a J-team in under the guise of some Recon missions fromt he Helos."

"I like it, make it happen."

In only three hours the dessert surrounding the Seperatist camp was swarming with infantry, tents were set up just outside artillery range as the troops settled in for what they thought was a long wait for armoured support to coem rolling in. As soon as the infantry was settled in however the Helicopter squadrons moved in and set up recon missions closer to the camp, staying out of range of SAMs the stealthed helicopters were difficult to spot even in the ideal conditions ont he bases powerful Radar array. It wouldn't come as much of a surprise that the helicopters sometimes dropped off the screen, espescially when large numbers of them were roaming the desert. The idea that some of these 'disapearences' were really covert deployments of special ops soldiers would come too late.

He had been lucky so far, the Armour Division had been on time and Muhhamed Jafir now had a quite a few ex soviet battle tanks to use against any Mondothian Threat, and with the Mag-lev rail head down for another few days at least the Mondothians could not say the same.

"Sir, the Radar is picking up oppressor aircraft, stealth recon helicopters, they just barely register."

"Issue the Stingers to the sentries, if the opressors think theyre stealth aircraft will defeat us then they are in for a great surprise."

"As you say sir, Allahu Ackbar"

"Allahu Ackbar, now send in Ibrahim, I want to know what we're up against."

The aide exited. Waiting for Ibrahim Muhhamed was worried, the stingers should be able to take out stealth helicopters before they could get too close but if the Modnothians were sending in stealthed transports loaded with troops then there was nothing he could do. The presence of his powerful tank division and the absence of Mondoth's comforted him a little, but Mondothians had been fighting against superior armor since the invention of the tank, the little Tempests they used now were recent additions and before that Mondoth had gone for decades with out anything more powerfult han an IFV to serve as armor. He would increase the number of sentries and patrols to keep helicopter borne troops out of the camp and he had artillery to keep the main force at arms length, but if they rushed then he was badly outgunned agaisnt the Mondothian Aircraft and infantry.

~Winchester Palace, 8:30 A.M.~

The note was left on the desk of the Emperor, just like any other external notifications. The morning changing of the guards was just taking place, and it seemed like it would be any other day. The Emperor was already awake, and had already finished his morning excercise routine. He sat down at his desk, surrounded by his advisors, and read over the morning briefing. Upon reading the note sent from the Intelligence Ministry he looked up searching for further information.

Lawrence, Duke Hollistein nodded to his uncle, "Sire, we recieved a communique last night informing your excellency that an Islamic Seperatists movement has captured several nuclear weapons. We suggest we help the nation of Mondoth logistically."

The Emperor grinned, and nodded "Will this be like any of those other logistical operations we have accomplished in the past?"

Lawrence merely shook his head, "Sire, we believe covert military assistance is paramount in the security of your Empire, and the rest of the world."

The Emperor answered "Well then, assemble the Military Council."

Servants ran from the room, to inform the various departments of the meeting that was to be held immediately.

~Military Council Room, 9:53 AM~

The eleven man council bowed to their Emperor, as he entered the room. He quickly moved to his throne, where upon sitting, the other counselors sat. Upon the swinging of a gavel the meeting was made open, and the Emperor began to speak.

"My friends, it would seem that assistance is needed in returning Mondoth its nuclear weapons. For our safety, we believe our intervention is needed in this matter, especially following the destruction of Mondoth's Intelligence Headquarters."

Field Marshall, Lord Wolfe, spoke first "Sire, we must go about this covertly, our forces mustn't be known as being in the theatre. We cannot risk collateral damage in Newtdom."

The Emperor nodded, and called upon his middle son, Prince William to speak.

William grinned "Gentlemen, as you know, our 8th Special Forces, can handle such a task with ease. I propose we dispatch a division of the 8th to help Mondoth militarily, while the 3rd Army's logistics corps. helps rebuild Mondoth."

The men all agreed to the Prince's motion. And Captain of the Guards, Earl Montaque added a final ancedote, "I agree with this motion, but I also believe a Special Imperial Guard Squadren be sent as reinforcements to the 8th."

The Emperor agreed, and so it had been determined...Newtdom would offer its support in the recovery of the captured weapons.

We appreciate your offer of aid, We do not yet know the location of these warheads but operations are underway to uncover this information and your forces aid will be appreciatted in the weapons 'recovery'. To preserve knowledge of this aid from your nation we are willing to provide your soldiers temporarily with Mondothian Uniforms and weapons. As the seperatists have proven to have advanced communications intercept technology your secrecy would better be conserved by using an encryption for future references to this cooperation.

near the Naveiran Seperatist encampment
Captain Stricklan stared through the scope of his rifle, the crosshairs centered on the head of a seperatist's head. The perfect shot, snipers had dreams about this sort of shot, the air so still he could have shouted and his voice would be stilled mere feet from his mouth. The day just overcast enough to hide the smoke from a shot. But it wasn't time to start the shooting yet. Panning his view over a few degrees he spotted the reason, The dark artillery tube superimposed against a light sky. keying his range finder an invisible laser lanced from just to the side of his scope, bouncing back with some numbers, plugging them silently into his GPS he radioed the resulting numbers back to headquarters over a secure circuit. getting an acknowledgment from base he motioned to the rest of his team, quietly they moved on, crawling on closer to the base.

Official Communication from the Democratic Republic

To: Highest Orders of Mondoth

The Nation of LA Ice has its full sorrows towards the people of Mondoth upon the recent attack upon the Mondoth Aerial Mapping and Survey Co. Headquarters building.

If you are still unable to recieve signals from your nation's reconnaissance satellites, then our nation will set up a temporary security headquarters free of charge, with a ColdSpace Surveillance System, which will be able to connect to your satellites and download the information you need.

However, does your nation encrypt its satellite signals? We must hope that the Seperatists and Islamic Fundamentilists have not yet tapped in to the satellite signal.

If you need anything else, then please contact our nation in any means you can.

With full hopes,
Hon. Vince Emerson

Your help is much appreciated in this case. We do encrypt our sattelite systems which is the main reason we have not been capable of regaining control of them, the encryption is fairly complex and it is taking time to rebuild the full key, having access to a ColdSpace Surveillance System should guve us enought emporary funcionalit until a new sattelite control center can be established.
Thank you for you aid.

The use of uniforms will not be necessary, although we thank you for the offer. Our special forces will be told to infiltrate and destroy. In order to do this, they will wear the common clothing of the regions we believe the warheads could be stored. The Special Imperial Guard will be in Land Warrior Combat systems, they will be able to blend into their surroundings and easily stalk the seperatists. The teams are being assembled as this message is underway, and should be en route within the day.

~Fort McCarty, 4:52 P.M.~

Prince William walked into the briefing room. Inside the theater seated room, sat the entire 3rd Division of the 8th Special Forces. The men rose in unison and bowed to their Prince and commander. Will grinned, and began the briefing.

"Gentlemen, I would like to apologize as I will not be able to join you in the field for this operation. But, nevertheless we will succeed. As you already know, your mission is to search and destroy a seperatist threat within the soverign nation of Mondoth. Collateral dammage must be at a minimum, preferably none. This mission must be done with precise tactical advantage. By our count, we outnumber the enemy, and have the advantage of being well trained and outfitted. You know your mission, now do it." Will saluted his troops and walked off the stage.

~Staging Area, 6:00 P.M~

The troops were getting ready, each loaded his custom gear onto the waiting planes. The jetliners resembled common Newtdom Royal Airline planes. The three massive 777's taxied to the runway. The troops onboard would soon be on their way to the staging areas in Mondoth.

OOC: My cue I supose, Newtdom, How about yoru first target being the guy who knows where the other three nukes are? Mondoth is making a move on the base where the guy who knows where the rest of the nukes are, should get this part of the RP over quiker so we can get to the juicy part of rooting entrenched rebels ou of mountainous terrain. The base is in tunnels dug under a Mountain in the Naveiran province. Its lightly defended but the tunnels are a maze of dead ends and traps that give the defenders an advantage. The fighters are mostly armed with AKMS-74s though and the tunnels are too tight for RPGs which evens the odds a bit.

IC: Muhhamed Jafir was nervous, the Mondothians had been waiting just out of artillery range for a full day now, everyone that was coming was there and all they did was wait. without sattelite access they had all the intell they could get and they had to know the longer they waited the less likely they were to succeed. The camp had food and water for plenty long enough to hold out until all three of the nukes under Muhhameds direction were detonated and then some. This waiting had to have some purpose.

In the guard tower Hassan al Raqif thought he saw something, staring through his binoculars he saw it again, something moving against sands, not like any animal he had ever seen. it was advancing slowly but surely. Dropping his Binocs he called his watch officer and tried to show him the strange moving thing but when he tried to find it again there was nothing to be seen, not even disturbed sand to betray the steady progress of a Mondothian J-force Sniper slowly getting into position.

OOC: Sounds good...just to let you know, theres about 5,000 3rd division special ops people in mondoth. That includes logistics, etc. So about 2,500 combat including the Special Imperial...Gear wise each man is different, they custom order their weapon, body armor, etc. Standard would consist of light or medium body armor, a side arm, a rifle, grenades of various sort, shotgun/entry weapon.

IC:
~Staging area 5:45 AM~
The three massive jetliners landed. The 3rd division disembarked, and met up with the already inplace Special Imperial Guard. The men knew their mission, and they would not waste any time. Commander Shann Childsen grinned as his men filled the mission tent. Once the seats had been filled Childsen began the in theatre briefing.

The briefing went smoothly, the misson overall seemed easy to the officers on hand. To them it was going to be a cakewalk, the best trained unit in the conventinal Newtdom military versus some montage of freedom fighters. The men left the tent, and began to prepare for their various missions.

~6:30 A.M.~

The trucks were loaded, and the men took their seats. They sped off in two convoys. One heading northwest and the other northeast. Their mission was simple, track and kill. The convoy heading to the northeast, led by Major Pol Treidum, was to meet up with the Mondoth forces, and overcome the Seperatist fort. While the other convoy, led by L.T. Colonel William Nemet was to find the various outposts in the Naveiran provinces.

OOC: I'll wait for a little bit, see what everyone else is doing.

Staging Area Operation: Twin Dragon
As the Newtdom Convoy arrived at the rendezvous General Sharif's aide waved the Newtdom Command staff to the Headquarters tent for an intelligence updat e and a discussion of tactics. General Sharif had been incharge of the Naveiran Peacekeeping occupation since Naveira had rejoined Mondoth several years ago and was the most knowledgeable man on the tactics of the insurgencts turned freedom fighters that made up the Naveiran Seperatist movement. His command was a scattered one, four divisions spread over the entire Naveiran Province fighting insurgents and adminstering humaitarian aid to civilians and attempting to set up a civillian authority. For this operation he had committed the 33rd Battalion, 1,0030 men who specialized in cave fighting, rooting Insurgents out of caves and tunnels. Witht he hep of the Newtdom Forces this would be the most ambitious counter insurgency operation in Mondothian History.

Eastern Desert Region Seperatist Encampent

It was late morining on the other side of Mondoth from Naveira. The snipers that had been closing on the Encampment had stopped, rechecked the positions of the artillery batteries so there could be no mistake. This time when they radioed their calculations they got a message back
:Go Mission:

The snipers quickly and stealthily checked their rifles, making sure they were clean and safe to fire. Once they were ready they settled in to their individual shooting positions and selected targets.

Overhead faint trails of smoke became visible, traling across the sky four Thror type crise missiles were roaring towards their targets. the four artillery batteries at the corners of the Seperatist camp. The raid had been timed to the milisecond. as the missiles struch their targets, the snipers let loose with more precsion. systematicaly eliminating the sentries while the raiders prepared to to their job.

Major Treidum saluted General Sharif. He grinned and said "Sir, Alpha and Beta companies of the 8th Special Forces at your service." He bowed, something that was expected in the Newtdom military as most flag officers were of noble birth.

The explosions could be heard as the men dismounted their trucks and humvees. They looked like any other soldiers, dressed in theatre fatigues and body armor. But a noticible difference was the lack of identification. It was blatantly clear what these men were here to do, they would not just sit back and fire from a distance, most would volunteer to go upclose. Sergeant Major Scott Tarl ordered his platoon to form up, they were the pathfinders and they were ready to go.

~L.T. Colonel William Nemet's Convoy~
The convoy came to a halt outside a small village. It was nearing nightfall, and Nemet still did not have a full grasp of the surroundings. He ordered Zeta company to sweep the village, while the rest of the convoy set up a small compound.

Zeta dismounted their trucks, and found cover behind small buildings at the outskirts of the village. The 200 men (4 platoons of 50) took their posistions, and were going to move at lightning speed.

IC:

Eastern Desert Region Encampment
The Missile strike jump started the camp into action, fire brigades formed on habit, preparing to douse fires and repair any damage caused. The armed soldiers prepared for an attack, running out onto the parade grounds and right into the sights of the Mondothian snipers. Quickly confusion and panic was everywhere. The officers that hadn't rushed outside tried to regain order from inside, they knew what would happen if the went out where a sniper could see them. But their efforts were useless. Gunshots sounded from inside the camp as a soldier went down from sniper fire pulling hard on his trigger in death causing evryone who could here to fire blindly into the desert, trying to kill invisible assailants.

Mountain Base
"Sir, our spies among the villagers have spotted troop movements, it appears as if a large force of Mondothians is gathering nearby."

"Find out their strength, and begin settign up the traps. If the Opressors plan on attacking here they will do so over a wall of their own dead."

"Allahu Ackbar"

"Allahu Ackbar brother, and good fortunes if we don't see each other again."

with that the aid left, leaving Hasan Bin Laden to contemplate this news. He had no idea what was happening nearly three thousand miles away tot he base in the eastern desert or the pistol in his desk would have been somewhere else entirely.

OOC: I meant the firing of artillary...sorry...lol. Anyway, I'll wait for Mondoth to post before I do anything in the desert. But I have a question, are the traps already set, and are there insurgents in the village? Or should they just sweep through and then be attacked? I'll leave that up to you, and make this post short initially.

IC:
Zeta began its tactical movements. The village was relatively small, if attacked the rest of the convoy could reach Zeta quickly. Captain Mota would be in the thick of the fighting if the sh*t hit the fan. He always said that he would not ask someone to do something he wouldn't do.

General Sharif returned the bow with a head nod, the appropriate response in Mondothian culture.
"We've pretty much isolated the area at this point, we've found three enterances to the tunnel system and are looking for more, intelligence indicates there are as many as five. We've been staying out of the area villages for now, standard procedure for the insurgents is to have several spies in the villages and usually an escape tunnel so It'd be a good idea to keep your people out of the villages to keep our numbers speculative on their end and to avoid opening ourselves up for an ambush. Now, when we locate the fourth enterance we'll start moving. I want to have most of your force surround the tunnels, be ready to move in when we need them. My troops will move in, secure some intersections and establish a foothold. Once thats done we can start bringing your troops in for support. By the way, whats your troops basic weapon?"

The Desert Encampment Raid

In the chaos the raiders easily covered the distance tot he fence, quickly they cut through and snuck in. running towards the headquarters tent, firing their weapons into the panicking rebels, clearing a path towards their target.

16-12-2005, 22:38
Major Treidum grinned "Each man has a different specialty, and their primary weapon coresponds with that expertise. The most common weapon is the OICW, but even then its not that prevelant. Our special forces are not forced to use a weapon our government believes is best, rather they allow them to choose through various trials. My two companies will be ready immediately to support your assualt. However, Colonel Nemet has very little contact with my convoy, and his men may very well be in a village as we speak. I shall inform Commander Childsen to remove Nemet's forces from villages immediately."

He saluted General Sharif and left the room, and walked briskly to the Newtdom Command tent. He hailed Commander Childsen, and informed him of the threat of village combat.

OOC: Basically, Childsen won't be in combat unless its brought to him. Hes the Commander in the theatre, but if Sharif needs to meet him or something along those lines he will go to the HQ.

"Interesting choice with the weapons, I pity your logistics staff. Conventioanl Assault rifles won't be too handy in the tunnels though, I'll see about getting some spare Combat Shotguns and Assault guns to your men who will be going underground, or at least soem Bullpups. We're still looking for another tunnel enterance so that should give your men some time to familiarize."

OOC: A Combat shotgun is a shortbarrelled automatic shotgun, an Assault gun is basically a full caliber (6.8-7.62mm's) assault rifle witht he barrel cut as short as is safe (SO conversions are possible for most of your weapons to Assault guns fairly easily, the OICW's will have to lose their grenade launchers though) The reason these weapons are preferred is because underground there often isn't enough room to move with full barrelled weapons and since combat will mostly be close quarters accuracy isn't much of an issue.

Desert Encampment
None of the officers even knew there had been an incursion until it was too late. The Mondothian commandoes had penterated deep into the camp and were quickly advancing towards their objective. However, as soon as one of the officers, a junior lieutenant actually, realized what was going on the word went out on radio's throughout the camp the people in charge began to formulate a new plan. Within minutes officers began to leave the safety of the buildings, leading the troops into a defensive position, attempting to control the situation and contain the raid. A few officers were able to find grenade launchers and mortars and organize limited counter sniper operations, not much but maybe enough to make the snipers keep their heads down.

OOC: For the most part, my men don't use the grenade launchers...to cumbersome.

IC: Colonel Childsen got the message, he shook his head and thought They tell me this after my men have been deployed. He looked at his staff and gave a slight smile "Well men, we just have to be more careful when it comes to wandering into villages."

Captain Mota's troops were sweeping through the village, carefully watching for enemy movement.

OOC: Thats good, but still, if you plan on going into the tunnels shortening the barrels is a good idea.

The Desert encampment Raid

Seeign their enemy suddenly get coordinated was a sobering experience. The raiders had expected the chaos to be maintained by the snipers for much longer. Realising they were seconds from death the raiders initiated a beack up plan, Pulling the pin on several modified gas grenades the soldiers let fly, as the grenades began spewing smoke a terrible odor of burning flesh mixed with a nauseatingly thick smell of pork filled the air. The grenade was designed both to cause an immediate gag reaction and to have a specific effect on the muslim fundamentalists to which pigs were unholy animals and even coming into contact with a pork product was instant damnation. The Raiders wore gas masks and were hand picked christians, relatively immune to both effects of the weapon.

Well. you didn't expect the RP to wait forever did you?

Since your last post (Unless I missed one) Multiple nations (Credonia, Shazbotdom, Xeraph, possibly more but those I can remember off the top of my head) Sent fleets to attack me, however, Xeraph and Shazbotdom wouldn't actually attack and were waiting outside my territorial waters, credonia actually attacked but never posted a response ot my post, Xeraph pulled back and Shazbotdom decided that he didn't really want to attack me so, sine I had wanted to do an insurection/guerilla war in Mondoth we just started that. To keep drive the remaining enemy fleets away it was decided the rebels would have nuclear weapons hidden in several (unnamed) nations and that any of the nations attack Mondoth could be hometo a terrorist bomb. After that was cleared up the 'Naveiran Seperatists' (A friend of mine, and our friendly neighbor hood Islamic FUndamentalist/ultra nationalist seperatist movement) blew up my Intellugence headquarters, crippling my intellignece network. Shazbotdom was going to help fight the seperatists but left adn then Newtdom joined, albeit secretly. So right now My forces are raiding a Seperatist encampment in Mondoth's desert region while Newtdom in conjunction with Mondothian Troops is preparing a raid against a Mountain base in the Naveiran mountains.

The troops realed back at the stench and were further driven away once they noted the pungent smell of pig meat. The soldiers were all devout Muslims and even contemplating death while unclean from such a horrific weapon was unthinkable to many of them. With their training and discipline broken, their was little or no resistance left in the infantry. The Mondothian's had waged a succesful psychological battle, but it would cost them, within the command tent, Jafir was frantically typiong commands on his computer, which were travelling thousands of miles over a secure sattelite link to a nuclear bomb hidden somewhere in the world. He had but a few minutes to reprogram the timer, he could only trigger one of his, if even that in the time left but if he could it woudl send a message to the Mondothian opressors and might stop further attacks the movement. It was a long shot but at this point, all he had left.

Naveiran Seperatists Desert Encampment Raid

Without the comprehensive sattelite communications Surveilance network establishing a lockdown on the data flow from the camp was difficult.
Specialist Golemeier cursed, twenty years ago, before the Echelon four subsytems had been routed through the newer Daedalous sattelite netwrok, he would have whole vans full of equipment he could have used to do his job, now everything was in a single laptop and it was useless until full sattelite communication was back up. He had some equipment coming in from the Marines comprehensive arsenal but it was hours away and until it got here he couldn't do anything except argue with the SAM batteries over whether or not it was 'responsible use' of the equipment to set the radar arrays to some unorthodox frequency settings that might jam any communications coming out of the base but would definately open an overflight corridor for any enemy aircraft who wanted in.

Int he camp itself the raiders had taken some losses, three of the original eight man team had been killed and another injured. It was difficult work carrying the injured man and running to the objective but theymade good time, a door breeching charge opened the door easily and in a flash of confusing light and sound and in secodns the troops were in, guns raised shouting at the top of their lungs.

"Dro Your weapons, You are all under arrest for conspiracy to kill Mondothians and High treason against the Mondothian Governmetn, Lay down your arms and come peacefully!"

It was over, Jafir was not brave enough to continue typing and he raised his hands slowly over his head as did the rest of the command staff. They didn't know what was coming next but they knew that their lives depended on being tame captives for now, and so they did what they were told.

The Terrorist leaders were quickly removed fromt he camp, escorted by Mondothian Special forces. As soon as the team was clear the air strike moved in. Now with no reason for restraint a pair of PC-16 Hunter fighters configured as Wild Weasels swept in, firing HARM missiles against the SAM radar and cluster munitions against the missiles themselves. Quickly the lightning strike was followed by four AF-39 Panther CAS fighters. These deadly aircraft wasted no time unleashing cluster anti tank munitions over the camp, followed by a second pass this time with anti personell weapons and then finally a pair of sweep passes with 30mm and 15.5mm guns blazing to remove any last vestige of the camp. Soon after a Mondothian Military helicopter picked up the raiders and their captives, taking them to a waiting aircraft where the captives were whisked to the temporary headquarters of Mondoth's intelligence agency for interrogation.
