I'd nominate Sarzonia or Praetonia for best naval. Phoniexus or Tyrnadis for air force, and land...well, AMF and Pushka. Leafinstan has some pretty useful peace tech himself.

Oh well, a bit of FT stuff is too much stats and not enough interesting engineering anyways. You'd have to state that it needs to be 100% original designs to keep out the people who resell modified versions of stuff in other serieses.

(Yes I use SW stuff to finish out my navy. Yeah, I'm a hyppocrite. Sue me :D)

I'm gonna go with The Macabees for best overall weapons, Sarzonia for naval goodies, and Mac again for ground.

Best Overall: Who's the best overall designer on NS? Who's got the best planes, trains, and automobiles? Nominate here.Since this is the Best Overall category for weapons designers, I'll cast my vote for Isselmere-Nieland. All of his designs are impeccably detailed and show the extensive work he puts into conceptualising, researching and typing the products he designs. The quality of his designs was evident to me when I was a newb first posting on the old forums.

Best Ground: Who's got the best guys on the ground? Since I already nominated Isselmere-Nieland for overall, I'll give this one to Praetonia since I've got someone else in mind for a later category. I'd almost give Praetonia honourable mention for best overall because even his first aerial design was a near match for one of Soviet Bloc's aircraft. But his Phalanx MBT deserves a spot among the best designs in all of NS.

Best Naval: Who's got the best of the things that float? Since two designers I'd nominate for this category have already been nominated in other categories, I'll say The Freethinkers. If you're looking for someone who thoroughly researches, conceptualises, and develops his work, it's The Freethinkers. If you're a naval designer, he's the standard you have to live up to.

Best Air Force: Who's the finest flyboy? Soviet Bloc. I considered him strongly for army as well, but his aircraft set the standard that all other players work to live up to. Doomingsland and Tyrandis are other players I considered very strongly for this category, but Soviet Bloc gets the call here.

Best Spy Gear: Bond. James Bond. I'll go with Doomingsland here. I know special ops isn't exactly the same as spying, but the element of secrecy is something he works well with.

Best Peacetime Innovations: Yes, there's a thing called peace.... you know.Hmm... I'll have to get back to you on that one.

You have to be good overall, with an effective air force, navy, and land.

I'll have no choice other than to endorse Isselmere for the overall design category for very obvious reasons, followed by Soviet Bloc for ground, Free for navy, and Zoogies (if he is still here) for air force. I would also put Isselmere in the lattermost category if two nominations of the same individual is allowed, but meh.

I'll go ahead and nominate my old arch-nemesis Omz222 for the Air Forces stuff. None of you kids take the time to look into his stuff, because it has no pictures and there's too much to read. Tsk tsk tsk...

Looking up your JAI-8 Fighter/Bomber, even you could nominate yourself, I certainly wouldn't say it was a 'masterpiece of aerospace engineering'. I'll quote it right here.
