The research laboratory complex had somehow survived the Freekish and Axis Nova bombing campaigns. Two stories below, several hundred captured Capitol Police were kept in a prison-like environment. They were in cells, fed four square meals a day, and generally treated well by the guards and scientists working there, hoping that once removed from the horrors of war, their minds would revert gradually to their natural states. But the existence was similar to what one might experience in a Kahanistan high-security prison or mental hospital, only not as violent, with the prisoners one to a cell and locked down for 24 hours a day with a TV and basic cable.

In cell 424, Dr. Mohammed Kareem al-Qadala sat across from the Capitol Police trooper, trying to see if the conditioning could be reversed and allow the Capitol Police soldier to lead something approaching a normal life.

"Tell me about yourself. Who are you? What is your name? Do you have plans for your future when you leave this facility? Do you have views toward the Kahanistan Government? The Kraven Government? The AKA?" He hoped that he could make the Kraven soldier assert an identity beyond that of simply a "Guardian of Civil Law and Order." An identity as a human being, with thoughts, feelings, concerns... things he had been raped of as a CP trooper.

Dr. al-Qadala awaited the trooper's response.

My Lords/Ladies,

The past several months of meticulous research into the genome of the Kraven Capital Policeman have yielded vast reams of data, all of which is inclosed in the attachment to this message. We require, however, further funding and a greater allocation of the stocks of captured live specimens for continued research. The mortality rate of the specimens is alarmingly high, and our research is too vital to allow further delays to develop due to bottlenecks in the supply of these units.

The initial intuitive guess of my colleagues and I that the genetic material of the Corporation’s soldiers has been significantly altered has been confirmed by autopsies of the specimens as well as genetic sequencing. Further research is being conducted into the precise nature of the modifications, and we have attempted our own cloning experiments of the units in order to learn more of these abominations.

It is my belief that the vastly altered nature of the Kraven Capital Policeman's DNA, which confers the greatest advantage to the Capital Policeman, may prove to be the key to defeating them. With research, it may be possible to genetically engineer a virus to specifically target the specimens by recognising the prominent genetic variations that exist between them and humans, and which separate us so clearly.

I hope to genetically engineer an airborne prion-based disease which will affect only the Kraven Capital Policeman (while leaving humans completely unharmed) and will result in terminal spongiform encephalopathy. Should we succeed, it will render Kraven’s inhuman beasts completely useless in any future war.

OCC: My understanding of Kraven's Capital Police and Saradaukar is that they are genetically engineered, mindless automatons, bereft of even the most basic social interaction skills and physically incapable of disobeying an order previously issued from the Kraven High Command. I did not think it would even be possible to capture them without putting them under considerable restraint or to communicate meaningfully with them.

My own captured stocks of the Kraven Capital Police are tightly bound and held in reinforced cages. They are treated in precisely the same way as one would treat a particularly violent and dangerous, rabid dog (only the Kraven monsters are treated with less kindness ;) ).

The Capitol Police Trooper looked across at the Doctor through human eyes, not the Goggles of their Gasmasks, The Trooper was sat upright, as though he was at attention sat down, His hands were placed on his knees and were clenched into two fists.

The Trooper was for all intents and Purposes Human,

No Doubt, The Kahanistani Doctors would have removed the Armour of the Trooper and so in turn Severed them from the Command Relay, For the sakes of Arguments this Trooper was Alone and without Orders.

"Designation, THX 1138"

"Third Sturmpanzer Trooper of Extermination Squad: Alpha 584231 code - Delta 55213" The Trooper reeled off the Designation of its Squad and Code, in a normal human soldier, he'd have just reeled off his Name, Rank and Number

"The Capitol Police Live To Serve"

"Once returned to the Command Relay, Orders will be Confirmed and Carried out"

"Awaiting Orders, Command Relay Severed, Awaiting Orders, Command Relay Severed Awaiting Orders" The Capitol Police trooper continued to speak, as though he was awaiting for the Link to be re-established...

OOC: Most of the captives were severely wounded and / or out of ammunition when captured, then nursed back to health over a period of several weeks.

IC:

Dr. al-Qadala frowned. "He doesn't seem to have any identity as a human being. Biologically, physically, he's human as you or I," he said to the Xirniumite scientist in the room. "I'll see if he responds to even the most basic instinct of the human animal." He threw some hard-core porn mags and a six-pack of Newcastle Brown Ale into THX 1138's cell, then closed the door. Twenty minutes later, he nodded toward one of the Kahanistan researchers.

"Do I have to?" she asked, genuinely not liking the sound of what Dr. al-Qadala had in mind.

"It's for science, Nadine." The scientist slipped off her dress, revealing her in just her underwear. She was a somewhat athletic woman in her mid-thirties, about 5'6", 140 lbs (167 cm, 10 st / 64 kg). "I can give you a sedative if you're too nervous to conduct this part of the experiment." Kahanistan was very liberal on these kinds of issues, but Prof. Nadine Morgan had not known she would face this when she signed up for experiments on Capitol Police. She sighed and agreed as Dr. al-Qadala gave her a sedative. Not enough to knock her out, but certainly enough to calm her nerves for the experiment.

To her, Dr. al-Qadala might have seemed a pervert. He did, after all, teach Human Sexuality before going into psychiatry, and kept numerous books by Alfred Kinsey, Sigmund Freud, and other famed sexologists in his office. But he merely wanted to know if the Kraven soldier would have even the shred of instinct that pervaded the human animal, and the most basic human instinct was sex. He had considered other female scientists, but most were either in their 40's or 50's and not too attractive (so a lack of response by the soldier would not prove he lacked human instincts) or the younger ones were either too immature to appreciate the scientific aspect of the research, or simply disgusted at the idea. She walked into the Capitol Police soldier's cell...

Professor Morgan was the only female volunteer to agree, albeit grudgingly. If he won't take her, I'll assume he's gay and go in myself, thought Dr. al-Qadala, gripping the bottle of Smirnoff Vodka he had obtained in case it came down to this.

If that doesn't work... I'll have to bring in a neurologist. Maybe a surgeon, too, if he's impotent...

OOC: how many specimens or should I say victims are there?

"so this is the infamous specimen?" Professor Jacob Diveljan would peer over the top of a large dossier at the man, he was unusually tall and looked very unlike a scientist in his uniform, cut along the lines of the Novacom Military with Industrial yellow colouring opposed to Military Red or Governemntal Blue his dull blone hair cut short and his face betrayed no emotion, much like all Novans. His assisstants were talking to each other animatedly in the singsong Novan language, another assisstant approached him and trilled a small symphony or so it would seem, "ah I see of course, one moment." reading through a few more lines he would again look over the dossier, this experiment was certainly pleasing on the eyes.

(OOC: I assume the Trooper is bound to the Chair?)

The Trooper looked at the Porno mag and the Beer... His eyes focusing in on what was before him, he leaned forward like a child reading a book for the first time... , However It did not interest him in the slightest, These were Contraband, he immeadiatly Tore the magazine in two and Crushed each can with his hands...

"Illegal Contraband will not Be Tolerated, You are Immeadiatly to Report to Local Secret Police Headquaters for Processing"

Then the Woman entered, and tried to be as seductive as possible...

Instantly the Trooper Rose to his feet, He looked quizicly at the woman, as though pondering the position, an almost naked woman in the room...

He Cocked his head to one side, like a confused dog would, Then Immeadiatly he stood up out of the Chair.

"You are in Violation of Civil Law Doctrine 85183765 - 253 Delta 5, You are To immeadiatly Cease and Desist, Under The Authoritory of The Capitol Police, Guardians of Law and Order, you are to Immeadiatly Report to The Capitol Police Birthing Facilities, Under orders of The High Command, Doctrine 855521"

The Trooper struggled against the large chains that held him to the chair, he moved towards the woman, putting pressure against the chains, the Trooper tried to Force himself towards her, his intentions to Apprehend her and take her to the Local Secret Police Headquaters...

The Trooper though, had paused, when connected to the Command Relay his response would have been immeadiate.... but without this Link he was lost and alone...

Why was this woman here? almost naked before him?

He Continued to Struggle against the chains....

OOC: About 200 in this facility, about 3,000 in other installations.

The research chief slid a key under the door. "I forgot, you'll need this to unlock him. You might want to take another sedative." He slid a Valium under the door. "Don't mind his programming, I'm sure his instincts will get the better of him. And don't worry, the nearest Capitol Police birthing facilities or headquarters are up north, getting the crap shelled out of them." (He's referring to the Kraven military presence in Kahanistan.)

If he doesn't go for the DD's, he's gayer than Liberace. The chief chuckled as he listened to the interaction between the trooper and the female scientist.

The Trooper was quickly unbound, Instantly he strode over to the woman, He paused for a moment a few feet away, his eyes quickly darting across her body...

He paused again, as though he was awaiting again for instructions.

None Came...

"Th... Y... You ar.... You Are In Direct Violation of Civil Law Doctrine 85183765 - 253 Delta 5, The Command Link has Been Severed and The Capitol Police here by Use Our Authoritory to Carry out What ever Sentence We Deem Appropriate, You Will be Immeadiatly... Terminated"

The Trooper reached up to the woman who was in a semi drugged state, his bare hands ran up her shoulders, reaching for her neck, in her Drugged state she thought her charms must have been working, But within an Instant the Trooper snapped her neck, a sickening Crunch permeated the Room as her body fell to the ground with a thump..

The Trooper Reverted to his Parade Ground stance and awaited the Re-establishment of the Command Relay...

He stood not moving, His eyes transfixed on some part of the wall, but not seeing the wall... Looking through it, so to speak...

The research chief called Security, then pulled his stun gun and rushed the CP. He put his stun gun up against the CP and shocked him.

"MEDIC! GET THE MEDICAL OFFICER!" roared Dr. al-Qadala. "Morgan's down, we don't know how bad she's hurt, get her out of there."

Two medical and two security officers, all of them officers in the Imperial Marines, rushed in. The security shocked the CP with tasers and stun guns and beat him mercilessly with their rifle butts. The medical officers took the downed scientist. "Her neck's broken. Be careful with her, we don't want her becoming a quadriplegic. Keep her spinal column in alignment." They put a neck brace around her and hoisted her up. "Still alive... she's unconscious, but she's still breathing. She has a C6 fracture, her cervical vertebra is cracked. We don't know how bad her spine is injured yet."

One of the security officers chained up the CP trooper again. "What the HELL was going on here?" he shouted at Dr. al-Qadala, eyeing the injured scientist, still only in underwear.

"Professor Morgan was... conducting research." The guard looked at him incredulously. "We wanted to see if the Capitol Police soldier possesses a human sexual instinct. If he does, he's not attracted to women, we know that."

"So what, you'll send a guy in next and get him paralyzed or killed?"

"No. We'll have to drug the Capitol Police soldier. Give him heavy doses of muscle relaxants, and Valiums to calm his mood. I think his violent programming overrode any human instinct he has. And from now on, I want the CP troopers let out into the group room for two hours a day to teach them how to interact with others. Double the guard in that area, we don't want any more neck snappings, or escapes, God forbid."

Meanwhile, the other Imperial Marine security officer was shouting at the re-chained Kraven soldier. "In case it didn't penetrate your thick skull, this is the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan. The barbaric Civil Law doctrines do not apply here." He pulled out a copy of the Kahanistan Constitution (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Constitution_of_Kahanistan). "These are the laws and doctrines that apply here, and I'm sure you will find them to your liking. There is almost no such thing as contraband here," he continued, lighting up a reefer and blowing the weed smoke into the trooper's face. "Beer and pornography are not contraband here, either. Of course, we value productivity, too, we won't usually imbibe enough on company time to impair our work."

Meanwhile, a crane pulled up to the research lab. In it was a very thick barrel containing a captured Sardaukar who had been chained and forced into an oxygen mask which would provide enough air to last the trip to the lab. The barrel was taken in through the back entrance to the lab.

"What's in the barrel?" asked the security guard.

"Research specimen, extremely dangerous," said the truck driver. He unscrewed the barrel. A man in chains and an oxygen mask stared out. "Sardaukar," said the driver. "Keep him in the most secure unit you have and keep him chained. And don't let anyone in there alone with him."

"After what happened today we're not letting ANYONE in alone with a Sardaukar OR Capitol Police trooper."

"What happened?"

"All I heard was one of the scientists got hurt real bad by one of those CP's, I didn't know they were so unpredictable. Don't even know who it was or how bad."

"Scary. Well, he's all yours now, just don't turn your back on him." The driver unceremoniously dumped the Sardaukar out of the security barrel and took off the oxygen mask, then gave the guard a key. "Keep this somewhere safe, will you?"

Professor Rothand Severus wiped the accumulated sweat away from his forehead with the back of his hand, narrowing his eyes as he peered with interest at the exposed brain of the Capital Policeman. Signing deeply the eminent doctor placed the bloody saw on the stainless steel tray next to him with a metallic clang, ineffectively attempting to wipe his gloved hands on his already blood-stained apron. The operation was being conducted on the live specimen without the use of anaesthetics of any kind, something the Professor had insisted on in the interest of avoiding introducing random variables which might influence his meticulous laboratory conditions.

‘Take a sample, please,’ the Professor ordered as an aid inserted a metallic syringe into the exposed brain of the conscious Kraven soldier and withdrew a sample of material for further tests. ‘I want that taken to the centrifuge for separation,’ explained the Professor. 'I'll deal with it later.'

The primary purpose of this experiment would be to observe the gradual deterioration of the subject following infection with the new transmissible spongiform encephalopathy weapon the Xirniumite scientists were developing. So far the team had not solved the problem of creating a carrier virus that would recognised only the specific alleles found on Kraven trooper genes and target those brain cells, nor had they created a method for it to be transported effectively via air, but they were certainly well on the way to creating a seriously lethal disease. The last specimen had died in only seven days, Dr Severus hoped that this one would live for only four.

‘This time I’m infecting the cerebral cortex with the prion agent,’ explained the Professor to the audio recorder of the operating theatre. ‘The past two tests on the hypothalamus and cerebellum were encouraging, but I think we can do better. My theory is that, by first targeting the complex brain functions, including memory, attention, perceptual awareness, thinking, language and consciousness, which all occur in the cerebral cortex, the disease will be capable of resulting in critical systems failure of the specimen in a much shorter period of time. If this is the case, it should not be overly difficult to bioengineer the weapon to target this specific area.’

Ignoring the repetitive and irrelevant babbling of the specimen, the doctor inserted the disease directly into the brain of the Kraven trooper. In a matter of hours, the first of a myriad of tiny holes would begin to appear in its brain as the rogue proteins went to work, causing it to appear like a sponge under microscope. This fatal, utterly incurable, progressively degenerative disease of the brain would result in the rapid deterioration of mental and physical abilities of the Kraven Capital Policemen. It would also be terribly painful, but the specimen was not human so this was of no consequence. Professor Severus was interested in seeing which functions would be lost first, and in how he could minimise the time before the disease resulted in fatality.

‘Very good, very good. Well that’s done. Dr Akins, please close its head up and then transport it to the ICU,’ said the Professor, walking away from the specimen and throwing his mask and gloves unceremoniously into the biohazard bin. ‘It’s almost time for lunch, isn’t it?’ asked Dr Severus, realising that he hadn't eaten since six in the morning.

‘Actually Doctor, you said you were going to be conducting the third phase of the experiment on the specimens’ reactions to extremes of temperature today,’ explained one of the assistants, smiling at the Professor's characteristic lack of organisation. Though utterly briliant and with boundless energy, the Professor was anything but ordered.

‘Of course, yes that’s right,’ the Professor said, remembering his strict schedule, fumbling as he removed his surgeons’ apron and hair covering. ‘We’re doing freezing today, right? I seem to recall we did immersion in different boiling solutions yesterday.. was it? Very well, I’ll meet the rest of you in, say, 15 minutes, at the holding pens so we can select some healthy specimens, the last ones expired quicker then we had anticipated. Oh, Dr Jenkins, remember to get enough liquid nitrogen from the Kahanistanians.’

The Professor checked his watch. ‘Actually, make that 25 minutes,' he said kindly, acknowledging that his colleagues had been working very hard today and would appreciate (not to mention deserve) a break. 'Get something to eat and then we’ll do the experiment in the afternoon. I wanted to check on some of the other experiments our allies are conducting as well.’

‘Good god! What in the hell happened here?’ Professor Rothand Severus exclaimed, now wearing his usual white labcoat and smoking from his favourite pipe. An attractive woman, wearing nothing but her underwear, was being taken away from the Kahanistanian research laboratories in a critical condition, her neck evidently fractured. The Professor walked aimlessly through the secure facility which now bustled with guards, he had never really bothered with silly protocols and as an academic who held the chair of one of the departments of the prestigious University of Naerath he had more then the usual amount of arrogance.

One of the Kahanistanians quickly explained to the Professor what had occurred. Dr Severus was utterly appalled, and stormed right up to Dr al-Qadala to voice his objections. ‘Good sir, I must protest at these reckless methods of yours,’ he fumed. ‘What you are doing here is clearly unethical, subjecting your own staff to such horrible risks. Biomedical research involving human subjects cannot legitimately be carried out unless the importance of the objective is in proportion to the inherent risk to the subject. Trying to prove your own little psychiatric theories is not an aim that justifies placing the life of your own staff in danger! I'm not saying that research into sexual psychology is not a most important area for study, on the contrary it is, but concern for the interests of the subject must always prevail over the interests of science and society. Surely, sir, it does not justify such an appaling disregard for basic research ethics?'

'Dear god man, where is your sense?' the Professor continued, 'These are ruthless killers, mindless machines, and you lock up one of your own colleagues in there with them?’

Dr. al-Qadala grimaced. Severus is clearly missing the point. While he's trying to kill these men, we're trying to assimilate them into human society.

"We are researching the effects of the psychological modifications of the Capitol Police conditioning," snarled the research chief. "None of us could have expected the attack on Professor Morgan. I gave her the Valiums to calm her nerves, not to numb her free will. She knew that she was getting into a cell with a Capitol Police trooper. Anyway, the findings are quite interesting, are they not? He looked her body over, I even thought he was holding her gently before he turned and attacked her. I think he still does possess some human instinct, perhaps even some attraction toward our researcher, but his conditioning is overshadowing it."

He turned to a guard. "Pull me up a copy of the Civil Law doctrines (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=447459), I was unaware that pornography or sexual aggression was forbidden by them. I knew about the beer being verboten, but not the porno. I think we should try again with another volunteer... a different approach... less aggressive."

He went to the room where the newly arrived Sardaukar was held. Capitol Police could speak English, at least. He wanted to see if the Sardaukar could speak too.

"Hello. I am Dr. Mohammed Kareem al-Qadala, the head of this research facility. While here, the Kahanistanian personnel will treat you well. Your treatment will depend on how cooperative you are, but we will always be humane. Perhaps you could introduce yourself to me?"

‘You simply don’t understand, Doctor, these aren’t people. They aren’t humans. They are machines, beyond redemption, beyond empathy’ argued Professor Severus, striding into the room that held the Saradaukar carefuly bound, while talking to his colleague, ignoring the exotic new specimen. The Professor always loved a good academic argument.

‘Cogito, ergo sum, wouldn’t you agree, dear Doctor? Well these specimens do not think!’ the Professor said, become quite animated, speaking as if he were adressing a packed lecture theater.

‘Observe, Dr al-Qadala, the mind of the machine,’ announced the Professor, turning to face the specimen, as he pulled the pipe from his mouth. ‘Saradaukar specimen, you are to answer my question or die, do you understand? Of course you do, such concepts are within your rigid programing boundaries. Well answer this then, which colour do you prefer, green or orange?’

Grinning Dr Severus turned around. ‘You see, my esteemed colleague, the Kraven trooper is not capable of reasoning. It does not comprehend abstract concepts as a human would. It does not understand the question. The question is beyond the boundaries of its limited programming, it is not a simple command that it can carry out. The Kraven trooper has no awareness. They are a pest, you would be better directing your efforts towards finding ways to eradicate them, as I am.’

In the absence of them, you have only confusion, the type you might get in a corrupted computer program and the type that we can see in the Capital Police specimen in the other room. Dr al-Qadala, these machines aren't humans. Not by any meaningful definition of that term.'

Dr Severus returned the pipe to his mouth and walked out, remembering that there was an experiment he had to perform.

ARE YOU MAD" an almost wild shriek unsuprising really, Jacob's face for once displaying anything other than a curious smile, "get Colonel Krenel's squad here I'm not taking any chances,"

"now that we are no longer waving round illegal substances, let me explain why we need these codes, he'll only accept the rescinding of these new "doctorines" which would bring us safety to break his programming. I for one don't fell confident in trying to redeem him while there's a chance he'll kill us. Any experiment will take time, but will potentially be more rewarding, instead of unleashing a potentially dangerous Biowepaon, which you should all know have the potential for blowback. Instead wouldn't simply turing Kraven's entire forces against them and then redeeming them and rehabilitating them by better and result in far less bloodshed," Jacob would practically be shaking the Kahanistani scientist by now abruptly he'd let go, "any luck on a code yet? we can hardly say" he reaches up to the microphone in jest, "Confirmation code, Denghi 7 7 8 9 0 4 kengen 4 5 3 3 2 helhegast 8 4 2 0 6 Balden" he puts the microphone down again and pats his comrade Mitri on the back laughing. "any luck on that code yet?"

‘Surely these codes are frequently changed though,’ Dr Severus said, as he exited the room where the Saradaukar was situated and overheard the conversation involving the Novacom scientists. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he regarded the specimen in front of him, viewing it as a curious puzzle.

‘Also, let’s remember that your inserting of new orders into it was done in absence of connection to the Command Relay. How can we predict what might happen when this is not the case?’ asked the Professor.

‘Trooper THX-1138, you will respond to the designation "Capital Police Specimen" when issued by me, it's more befitting of a mindless and soulless killing machine, don't you think?’ the Professor announced, grinning, obviously wishing to labour his point. ‘Given the choice between green and orange, which colour do you prefer? Answer immediately and directly or you will die... not that this would matter to you, of course.’

The Professor didn't bother to wait for the reply, knowing it would be gibberish as always. He ignored it just as he ignored the pointless, repetative words of the specimens as he operated on them in his laboratories. I'd probably be able to have a more meaningful conversation with the smallpox virus I'm engineering to target the specimen's cells and carry the deadly prion agent to the target, he thought.

'Good luck anyway, Professor Diveljan, I don't envy your task.'

Trooper THX-1138 was taken to the infirmary. Dr. al-Qadala had wanted to run some tests on him.

A neurosurgeon and an X-ray technician awaited. "What exactly are you looking for, Mohammed?" asked the neurosurgeon.

"Computer chips in the head, this guy seems to think that he's still under Kraven laws, and still acts more machine than man. Also, parts of his brain may have been chemically altered, may be disproportionately larger or smaller than normal. Most people can't stare at the wall for this long. He severely injured one of our scientists yesterday."

"Ah, Professor Morgan. Well, with C6 fractures, at worst she's going to be a paraplegic, it all depends on if the spinal cord itself was severed or not. Well, anyway, let's get this trooper prepped."

They strapped him to a table, then scanned his brain and central nervous system with X-rays for computer chips. They also did blood work on him to determine his testosterone and other hormone levels. If the testosterone was too high, it would be like giving him steroids. If it was too low... the findings must be erroneous, he certainly seemed aggressive enough.

He griped to the surgeon while the X-ray tech was scanning the trooper. "We're trying to rehabilitate these guys, and the Xirnium doctors aren't helping. 'You will respond to the designation "Capitol Police Specimen".' Honestly, that could be used to address two hundred guys in this lab complex alone. How are we going to introduce these guys into society with that prejudice hanging around?"

"Good question. Well, there's a lot of prejudice against Xirniumites floating around, a lot of people still think they're all crazed religious fanatics. Ask them."

End of Year Research Report – Xirniumite Research into the Anatomy of the Kraven Soldier

Classified: Level Crimson-Red (or equivalent Allied Security Level Designation) and Above Required
For internal distribution to all nations involved in the Kraven Soldier Research Project in Kahanistan

Forward:

The past several months have yielded simply staggering amounts of information on the physiology, anatomy and physical capabilities of the Kraven specimens captured during the Xirnium-Kraven War.

The following is a list of the major experiments that have been performed in the past months. The data gathered and full methodology is provided in the attachments to this message. In our various experiments, we have attempted to adhere to the highest standards of the scientific method possible. Therefore, in addition to a full description of the procedure involved audiovisual recordings of the experiments are provided to demonstrate the flawlessness of the data produced.

We now have exact and detailed information on the way that the Kraven specimens work, and of how they can be exterminated, and are well on the way to finding the most efficient methods for eradicating them.

Contents:

-Study of live dissections performed on specimens. Often done after administering some type of harmful biological, chemical or radiological agent to study its effects, though this is never the case following another experiment (clearly it would render the results useless). Usually involves removing specific organs for more detailed study, typically the brain.

-Study of the effects of food and water deprivation. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of sleep deprivation. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of extreme exertion. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of extremes of pressure and rapid or great pressure variations. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of extremes of temperature and rapid or great temperature variations. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of exposure to harmful forms of radiation (for example, x-rays). Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of inhalation of various gaseous agents, usually chemical weapons. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the effects of different diseases, usually biological weapons. Time till mortality researched.

-Study of the regenerative capabilities of the specimens following removal of bone, muscle, and nerve material.

-Study of the effects of transplanting foreign material to the specimen in order to learn more about its immune system. Time till mortality researched.

-Study the effects of battlefield damage. For example, loss of limbs, gunshot wounds, severe burns, grenade explosions at varying distances, etc. Time till mortality researched.

Note 1: Any specimen which survives an experiment typically has a live dissection performed on it. As this dissection involves removal of the spine, brain, heart, lungs, and other organs it is always fatal.

Note 2: None of these experiments involve the use of anaesthetics. Such use might affect the validity of results and would be wasted on what are non-humans anyway. Usually they are done while the specimen is conscious, in case there is valuable data to be learnt from the conscious responses of the specimens.

Note 3: All expired specimens have full autopsies performed on them.

The Xirniumite Research Team hopes that this information will be of use to other research teams in their various scientific endeavours. It is my opinion that this basic anatomical and physiological information on the capabilities of the Kraven specimens will form the solid foundation of more detailed and important scientific work.

The Capitol Police were now allowed out for two hours a day into the group room, in groups of thirty. This was to keep the two hundred or so in the laboratories manageable, and each exit had six Imperial Marines armed with AK-47's guarding it.

During the two hours they were out, the Capitol Police were expected to mingle. Numerous TV sets, magazines, books, and other items were available. Porno channels were blocked out now, to prevent the Capitol Police from going berserk.

A research scientist was trying to teach one of the Capitol Police how to play chess. Nearby, one of the other researchers was trying to get another trooper interested in one of his textbooks, to see if CP could read. If they could, it would be that much easier to educate them.

The Capitol Police were now administered large amounts of Valium to calm them and muscle relaxants to make them less able to attack. If they were to get along with each other or the Kahanistan scientific personnel, they couldn't go around snapping people's necks for giggles.

[OCC: I'm finding the differences in approach by the Kahanistanians, Novans and Xirniumites really interesting. One views them as nothing more then machines which they can pull apart to find how they work and to find out how to destroy them more easily while the other views them as extremely anti-social people who might be rehabilitated. Novacom views them as a weapon which might be turned against its master. All distinct approaches to the same problem, 'how to defeat Kraven?']

For internal distribution to all nations involved in the Joint Kraven Soldier Research Venture in Kahanistan

Project Succubus
Aim:

The creation of a biological weapon of mass destruction which will specifically target and efficiently liquidate Kraven Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms without resulting in collateral damage.

Characteristics:

The weapon must result in a disease that must be:
-Incurable
-Fatal
-Highly infectious
-Extremely contagious
-Limited to the targeting of only Kraven Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms

To this end, the following specifics attributes where chosen for the disease:

-The disease is to be caused by proteinaceous infectious particles (Prions) which will result in a terminal transmissible spongiform encephalopathy disease. The reason for this is that such diseases are untreatable.

Stages in Project:

Phase 1-
In order to genetically engineer a virus that attacks only Kraven Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms, it was found necessary to be able to distinguish between the cells of these specimens and those of humans.

It is known that Capital Police undergo genetic conditioning and that the Saraduakar have genomes that are substantially modified from human ones. Therefore, in order to be able to distinguish between humans and Captial Police and Saradaukar organisms, it was necessary to determine the precise genetic differences in the DNA that existed (in other words, the modifications made).

This phases involves genetic sequencing and the study of the genes and alleles of Captial Police and Saradaukar DNA in order to determine which markers can be easily used to distinguish their genome from that of a human.

STATUS: COMPLETED

Phase 2-
The disease was required to be highly contagious and infectious. Influenza was chosen as a basis for the engineering of the virus because it was considered extremely contagious and allowed easy transmission to the specimen by airborne infection and in aerosols. In this phase, the virus was heavily modified, making it far more virulent, durable and shockingly contagious, so that it was highly infectious as both an airborne agent and from face-to-face contact and direct contact.

The virus was also heavily modified so as to make it unrecognisable to the body’s immune system and to make it resistant to antivirals. It has also been modified to render vaccinations ineffective.

STATUS: COMPLETED

Phase 3-
The new strain was now modified so that it would only target cells with the specific genetic markers found (in Phase 1 of this project) in the DNA of Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms, and not in humans. It was also heavily modified so that the virus would not mutate, eliminating the risk that through evolution the disease might come to target humans again.

STATUS: IN PROGRESS

Phase 4-
Up until now the stages have all dealt with finding a means to infect only large amounts of Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms with the disease.

The final stages involved the genetic modification of the virus to result in a lethal disease. The aim was to create a spongiform encephalopathy in the Capital Police and Saradaukar organism.

Basically, this would cause the progressive death of its brain's nerve cells, meaning that when brain tissue from the organism is examined under microscope many tiny holes can be seen where whole areas of nerve cells have died.

All spongiform encephalopathies are incurable and fatal, and it was for this reason that the disease was chosen.

This particular stage involved the creation of a specifc prion (the abnormally-structured proteins that cause spongiform encephalopathies) that would result in rapid death (in roughly one week). As well as spongiform change to the brain, the manufactured prion caused neuronal loss, astrocytosis and amyloid plaque formation. The symptoms of the disease are rapidly progressive dementia leading to extreme memory loss, huge personality changes and hallucinations, accompanied by extreme physical problems such loss of speech abilty, onset of very jerky movements, massive balance and coordination dysfunction, changes in gait, rigid posture, seizures and finally (by the seventh day) death.

STATUS: IN PROGRESS

Phase 5-
A single prion, when inserted into an organism, is enough to cause a fatal spongiform enceplopathy. However, the prions are not the infectious agent in this weapon, the modified virus is. While the prions cause the actual lethal disease, it is the virus that carries the information to the victim which results in the creation of the prion. The virus can be thought of as a carrier.

This final stage involved largely rewritting the RNA strand of the almost completely modified influenza virus to include the genetic instructions for the manufacture of the prion created in Phase 4. Therefore, on insertion into the cells of the Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms, it would take over their function to produce the prions developed in Phase 4. Hence, the weapon was complete. Rather then spread the spongiform encephalopathy by the prions themselves, which could only occur by ingestion of brain matter, the weapon uses a highly contagious airborne disease to infect the specimen and create the prion locally.

The result is a extremely contagious disease that targets only Capital Police and Saradaukar organisms and is completely lethal.

OOC: this won't sit well at all, ICly I have an extremly low opinion of Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons, indeed my entire Population has had some Genetic Modification done to it to eliminate the possibility for Genetic defects to materialise (which BTW may never have actually occured in Novacom, the Governement isn't exactly keen for that to happen)

IC: Jacob would be working with another specimen, the original one was heavily sedated pending results on the confirmation code, this new specimen, no person Jacob thought, they are people. This Person was being experimented with on how it would react to numerous yet contradictory orders being relayed all at once, the Xirnium Scientist had yet to see the rest of the experiments being carried out, one Trooper that had been nicknamed Jed, had been set in a room with bricks and cement mix as well as plans for a bunker. The Ingredients for the cement were in incorrectly labelled buckets and the plans for the bunker could only be read if the plans were held up to a light and to top it all off the instructions for mixing the cement were unreadable except for a few key words which out of context would make no sense, A speaker would relay orders to build a Bunker following the plans, the aim of the test would be to see if Jed could think creativley to accomplish his goals.

Further down in the part of the facility that had basically been taken over by an ever increasing contignent of Mechnicians, Medtechs, Scietists and Enforcer's. There would be found a large chamber, in it was a prisoner taken in the battle of Muyeldregen, this Particular Prisoner had been from a Terroken Mobile Suit, Admiral Kukonois' premier design it had been a mystery as to where he'd gotten the technology from but it wasn't Jacob's concern. The Prisoner was, Jacob would snap his fingers once and a Silver Skull Enforcer Lieutenant would stride into the chamber and manhandle the prisoner to another part of the facility, this part was made up of a large series of small rooms, each with a unique puzzle in. At the Center of the "Maze" had been placed an IXION Unit which itself was protected by a strange device, a Robot to be precise.

"Trooper NKLR 8299 your mission is to retreive the device in the center of the facility you will be placed in, there is another individual in their that is also after the device you are to retreive it and then return to the room where you started, Collateral damage must not occur except for whatever is guarding the device, any other individuals you encounter are not to be harmed but they are to be stunned if possible." would echo in Battle Language as Jacob would place the speaker back down and a pair of Scietists and no less than 12 Enforcer's would accompany them, at the other end of the maze the Prisoner was also being placed in the room, he had been promised a good meal if he got the device and returned to the starting point.

"Begin" would sound over the maze, Jacob would return to the Control room of this sector of the Labrotory and listen to the Myriad of reports from his colleagues, Several other Experiments would be on monitor, displaying rooms that had been especially prepared, in one room there were 4 Capitol Police troopers, one was given orders to dig a hole, another was given orders to fill holes, another was given orders to fill the room with water from a large pool, while the last was given orders to dry the room and return water to the pool, the ground had been prepared with several meters of relativley well packed soil. Another Experiment involved blindfolded troopers who had been instructed to find shells in a specially prepared "sand dune". Another consisted of listening to a piece of song and then evaluating it, under the pretences that this information was important and an opinion were required. This and a whole Myriad of Experiments designed to test the Troopers for the ability to reason, creativity, common sense, the ability to think objectivley how to form an opinion and of course the ability to adapt to different and unusual situations.

Jacob would again lift up a Microphone and utter the word begin which would be translated into Battle Language, he would then focus one eye on the monitors showing surveilance of the experiments and read the Xirnium reports with increasing worry, he would have to talk with the Xirnimute Scientist, and urgently.

‘That’s 8 minutes, 16 seconds, Dr Severus,’ said one of the scientists, clicking his stopwatch and pencilling the relevant data into his notebook.

‘Very well, excellent,’ declared the Professor, ‘clear the cadaver of the specimen away from the centrifuge and insert a new one please. This time we’ll subject it to slightly higher acceleration. With any luck we’ll have completely finished this experiment within the hour.’

Though work continued feverishly on the Project: Succubus bioweapon, the Xirniumite scientists had been ordered to carry on gathering detailed physiological and anatomical information on the structure and capabilities of the Capital Police and Saraduakar specimens. Today’s experiment was about measuring g-force tolerances, determining the time to death after being continuously spun around at a specific speed in a centrifuge.

‘Greetings, Professor,’ said a grim woman’s voice from behind the Professor, with the carefully moderated and controlled tone so typical of an Inquisitor.

‘Ahh, Inquisitor, it’s always a pleasure to see you at the facility,’ explained Professor Severus, wheeling round to look at the darkly cloaked Inquisitor, pipe in hand, ‘I am always quite heartened by the Inquisition’s taking of such a keen interest in science.’

‘They say “knowledge is power”, my good Professor, and we at the Inquisition know that only too well. But tell me about Project: Succubus, is it proceeding as planned?’ asked the shadowy Inquisitor, her eyes narrowing as they looked at the slightly excentric man.

‘There have been some.. delays, Lady Inquisitor and some minor incidents,’ explained the Doctor, readjusting his spectacles. ‘Unfortunately a strain of the superflu that we are using as the basis for the engineering of the virus escaped yesterday and several of our scientists were infected with it and needed to be quarantined. The situation is completely under control now, however, and there have been no further breaches of security. The problem evidently was a faulty seal on one of the biohazard suits.’

‘Very well,’ said the Lady Inquisitor, though her eyes had narrowed critically at this new revelation. If it had been one of the more lethal Xirniumite biological weapons such as Query Fever 7th Generation or Ebola JD-Alpha hemorrhagic fever everyone in this facility would be dead now, she thought, there would need to be a full review of security procedures, this can't be allowed to happen again. ‘Tell me about the progress made with the project itself,’ the Inquisitor continued.

‘The difficulty is not in finding the genetic difference between Capital Police and Saradauakr DNA and human DNA, the difficulty is in programming the virus to recognise those differences,’ described the Professor.

‘I see. Well the High Ecclesiarchy can’t afford any delays in this project, Dr Severus, as I’m sure you will appreciate. I cannot emphasise enough how important Succubus is to the security of the Holy Empire. Effective immediately you have unlimited funding and full access to Holy Xirnium’s stocks of Capital Police and Saraduakar specimens,’ the Lady Inquisitior announced.

‘4 minutes, 3 seconds, Professor,’ one of Dr Severus’ assistants interrupted.

The Capitol Police stood around in the Group room, they didn't know what to do, without orders they were alone and without purpose, Each Trooper Immeadiatly Formed up into a parade Ground style formation, 10 wide, 3 deep, each moved in Drill at perfect time, until the formation was created and they simply waited for Commands.

The capitol Police playing chess had a good understanding of the game, it was general practice for the Training they recieve a few months after birth to be trained with games of chess, to heighten their mental abilities and capabilities to memorize strategies, Within a few moves the Capitol Police Trooper had the Doctor in a check mate...

The Trooper read the text book, it didn't interest him, but he absorbed it regardless.

The Trooper looked up from the book, and spoke to the Doctor

"We Request Texts books based on Military Theory" The request was more of an Order that they expected the Doctor to carry out.

Each one sedated with Valium was a lot calmer, only the chess player and the text book reader had not been sedated, assuming they actualy wanted a fair test and not some drugged up Drones.

To: Senator Maribel Crowley, Chair of the Armed Forces and Defense Committee

Senator,

Our experiments with the Capitol Police show that they are highly intelligent, able to easily defeat four different scientists, with four different levels of expertise and four different strategies, multiple times at chess. Furthermore, they are apparently capable of reading at an alarming rate.

Our attempts at determining if they hold instincts appear to be fruitful. A female volunteer was severely injured by a Capitol Police trooper during an experiment, but the trooper looked her over briefly before his programming took over, and I suspect that they do retain human instincts.

We are currently attempting to socialize the troopers to function in society as human beings. Success so far has been minimal, but we hope to determine if they have programming chips or other devices in their brains that manipulate them, as they seem to expect commands even when not connected to the relay.

The Trooper mixing the cement had done this a thousand times before, despite the buckets being in correctly labeled he knew which one was sand, which one was gravel, and which one was Cement, quickly he set to work tipping out the sand, adding the gravel and finaly the cement, he began mixing the ingredients together using the shovel provided, after a few minutes the mix started to look like dry cement, so adding the water he continued until the pile of ingredients were now a thick grey cement.

The Trooper didn't need to look at the Plans, he'd done this so many times it was second nature.

however he stopped. stood and spoke outloud to any scientist near by

"For the Construction of a Class 8 Bunker, you have provided us with inefficient materials, the Structure would be unstable and of Poor quality, Resulting attacks against the bunker would Immeadiatly Compremise its integrety."

As for the trooper in the maze, Without the Command relay and other Trooper to co-ordinate his efforts, he acted just like any normal human would, moving through the maze until reaching a dead end, consolidating his move and retracing his steps, until he found his way around the maze.

The Robot, whatever it was, was dispatched quickly, even though the trooper had taken a viscous slash wound to the chest, he lifted the robot off the ground with a little bit of stuggle, then using his knee broke the robots spinal chord, severing the circuits between the brain and the legs, rendering it usless.

Picking up the Item, the trooper headed back accuratly remembering the route he took to reach the Device and the robot.

The Kahanistan scientists were trying to concoct new social situations for the Capitol Police. They had tried games, they had tried TV, they had even tried women. The CP's whipped the Kahanistan researchers at the games, seemed disinterested in most of what was on TV, and had absolutely no interest in women.

The scientists had determined that any alteration to a CP's brain would have to be chemical, they did not discover any chips controlling them. They threw around the idea of building a new command relay from scratch, but decided against it. These men would have to learn to live without a relay if they were to assimilate into society.

To encourage the CP's to assert individual identities, the facility had brought in military psychologists who were trained in dealing with soldiers who had been severely traumatized. If their intelligence was accurate, the CP's were subjected to the most horrific and traumatic imagery while in the wombs in the birthing facilities. They would hopefully respond to treatment the same way an Imperial Marine who had seen too much horror would respond to psychiatric treatments.

--Several Weeks Later--

The Arrival of a group of Black SKull Enforcers lead by a man known only as Yuri, had seen the efforts of Jacob and his team take a bizzare turn of direction, as well as the revalation of a Highly Classified Black SKull Enforcer Project, strange devices had been imported in from the homeland, and kept in sealed rooms, while strange smelling jars containing what some outsiders had rumoured to be Human Brains had been sent in a dizzying number, a large amount of strange noises would be heard comming from the Laborotories in the Novacom Section of the Facility.

"How is Project Cyberax comming Professor?" Yuri his soft voice rasping through the air, the Scientists both feared and respected him, he had demonstarted early on that he was no mere mortal, his Psychic powers astounded them, they understood the basic principle behind it, however the sheer wealth of knowledge he had made available to them combined with their findings thus far, in addition to the amazing amount of data that the Black Skull Enforcers had been able to extract effortlessly had actually sent several of them unconcious with shock.

In front of Jacob was a gleaming table with several jars on, containing Human Brains bobbing around ominously, near the center of the room was a strange device with wicked looking blades at the top, they had experimented powering it up early on and the results were beyond beleif, complete and total control of the Capitol Police Troopers, however upon deactivation of the device the control vanished instantly, this was where Project Cyberax came in. "It goes well Yuri, I'd say a few more days and we can mark this project as complete,"

Yuri smirked, yes your part in this will be complete, however though Cyberax will never be complete, much as man may never be perfect, Handing a folder to an assisstant labelled clearly for dispatch he turns to leave, he had more minds to twist, he had arrived as the Xirniumites were departing, their minds had been a treasure trove of knowledge, though this Project Succubus of theirs was wasteful, after all what is the point of killing en masse when you can instead turn them to your will?

Project Cyberax

Project Cyberax has proceeded at an alarming pace, the Scientists ground work to using the Spcimens original programming to effect control while encountering limited success due to the paranoia of the Kraven High Command, instead Project Cyberax has greatly benefitted from the Scientists work, as well as the transfer of personell and equipment, in Particular Yuri from Project Torrken have yielded suprisingly rapid and fruitful results.

Although Project Cyberax is in it's litoral Infancy, in time given correct Stimulii Cyberax will mature swiftly into a highly advanced Artificial intelligence that far surpasses the capacities of IXION, however though there are key differences;

Cyberax has shwon the capability as projected to be transmitted into a specimens brain and swiftly seize control
Cyberax has shown itself in this state to be impossible to detect, and even more impossible to purge from the Specimens brain
The ability to learn and grow based on actual experience, much like Ixion however to a much greater extent
Cyberax has shown itself to be capable of remaining dormant for a great deal of time and if required to transfer itself, or reproduce and take control of another host
Cyberax is also freely able to travel through Cyberspace defeating all methods of defence, especially disconnecting terminals from a network
Prelminary tests show that Cyberax is freely able to leave a hosts brain without imparting a memory of his presence if so wished
Cyberax has also been able to transfer itself not only through transmission methods but also through devices both overt and covert and work is in progress of creating a miniaturised version that may be deployed easily

As you can see from the list above, Project Cyberax could be defined as a Virus, however though such terminology would be in the loosest of applications, instead a fully fledged AI, with capabilities of taking Organic form, Programming is complete now we merely need to test Cyberax and allow him to mature.

Suggest once prelminary testing is complete the deployment of Cyberax via Project Torrken Beacons in the upcomming Xharn conflict, Project Cyberax in this way can be used to compliment Project Torrken making the control unbreakable, as Cyberax has shown itself to be independant if required or if needed tap into latent Psychic potential for uplink with appropriate equipment.

Suggest that in time Cyberax be brought into general use throughout the Military, possibly replacing Ixion or at least operating as a companion to Ixion.

--End Report--

Several Capitol Police had been repeatedly "infected" with Cyberax and turned to the sinister AI's will, Jacob now atempted by barking out orders in command language to see how complete Cyberax's Control was, "THX-1138 cease and desist at once" Once this stage was complete and Cyberax's Mental Mastery was attained, the next stage would begin, however just because the tests were on Kraven Capitol Police it did not mean that Kraven was the end target...

The two Imperial Marines guarding the Sardaukar cell heard a loud pop! sound.

"What was that?" asked one.

"Damned if I know... wanna check it out?" replied the other.

"I'm not going in there alone with a Sardaukar. Those things give me the creeps."

"Fine." The two Imperial Marines, clad in full body armor and NBC, and carrying AK-47's, unlocked the Sardaukar's cell and entered, their weapons at the ready...

Yuri gazed deeply into the vat full of brains, so much latent potential, if only we could tap into it, a surge of emotion caught the attention of his powerful mind, a surge of great malice and malevolance, the Sardukar were on the move.

"Activate the bacon and put the Capitol Police back in their armour, what better way to test it then to throw Capitol Police against Sardukar" his voice betrayed not a single emotion, but deep down inside he calmoured for a triumph, a success a victory.

The Beacon gently whirred as it came to life and the Capitol Police were gabred once more in their armour and given weapons, however this time, they were not controlled by the Command Relay, but by the influence of a new power to the game, the Psychic Beacon, something that would change the face of the conflict divisivley for after all something that replaces free will is bound to cause controvosy, especially when it can be done at the push of a button.

The Sardaukar Strode out, its heavy armoured form making distinct footfalls as it approached, a Black armoured hand reached out, Pushing the Door Open, The Bright Glare from the Facility lights instantly activated the Flare Comp, Dumbing down the harsh glare...

Its Lazer Target Designator Continued to Pin Point targets and locations, as for now it needed a weapon, it was more than Capable of Fighting with sheer brute force, but to really make an impact it needed a weapon, The Behemoth strode Out down a Corridor, Following Signs to the Barracks, and the most likely place the Armoury will be...

The Whole time as the Phase 4 moved along the Corridor, it was using its Sonar Sensor array built into its Optical mag to Map out the Corridors, Bringing up a Detailed Schematic of the Facility within 100 Yards, Each Person and their movements was expertly detailed and planned out. while at the Same time, Thermal Optics gave a Detailed read out of Conduits and heat Exchanges...

Reaching a Wall Conduit, The Phase 4 tore a pannel off the walls, then reaching in Grabbing a bundle of wires, Yanked hard, Ripping them from their Placings....

Slowly the Facility went into Darkness....

The Sardaukar Turned around, Targeting the next one...

In The Confusion one managed to shock the Trooper, There was a strange smell of melting Plastics, But the Trooper looked unphased...

The Baton was swung once more, like some ungodly beast wielding a crude club, the Phase 4 brough the batton down upon the Marines head with as much force as his Servo assited arms could muster...

Two Marines lay unconscious. One of the other two ran to get help, the other drew his 9mm Beretta and fired. Normally lethal force was not used in the capture of prisoners, but the information available to the Kahanistan soldiers suggested that those kinds of wounds might merely weaken the Sardaukar while the Necrovirus healed him. They hoped they might still capture him alive, if bad came to worse they might hand him over to the Xirniumites.

The marine who had run told the lieutenant that the stun rods had little to no effect on the Sardaukar. He also advised that at least one shot had been fired, but that he didn't know if the Sardaukar had gotten ahold of a gun or if it was a Marine.

The lieutenant sent two more security teams after the Sardaukar. Good thing we always have our guys wearing body armor or else someone could have been hurt. They also wore NBC, and the approaching security would have CS gas grenades, 9mm's and AK-47's...

Yuri would come bearing down the corridor bearing a ball of light hovering ominously in his left hand, lighting the darkened corridors with a mournful light, to his left were several Gold Skull Enforcers and to his right were several figures the Kahanistanians would find familiar, The sinister form of Capitol Police, now controlled by the whirring beacon and the psychic might of Yuri, he would billow into the room with the Kahanistantian Lieutenant, any attempt to raise weapons was instantrly thwarted as they flew onto the floor, ripped from their owners hands by Yuri's vulturous mind.

"Appearances are deceptive, I sensed the release of the Sardukar and I think this will be an excellent oppourtunity to test our Psychic Technologies, already we have brought these weak minded Capitol Police under our will, and now they shall be turned against the Sardukar, it is too dangerous for us to attempt to capture it," behind his words were placed an irresistable power, his presence filled the entire facility.

He knew full well where the Sardukar was, exerting a minor part of his powers to prompt several nearby Capitol Police specimens into action, their training should be enough to slow it down at least, as far as he was concerned this was a live fire experiment, casualties to him were irrelevant, after all the casualties would not be allied, rather enemy.

This Promises to be interesting either way, some practise in Psychic RPing before the Psychic Invasion of Xharn :D

IC: Yuri would hold his hand out, the Kahanistanians were an extremly open minded people, it was no effort whatsoever to read through their minds. His mind was buzzing with strategy, his last real combat operation had been the Admiral Kukonois Valjzguard Campaign and the Novacom defence of the place, he was better prepared since then, and had a fair few new techniques under his belt.

"Psychic Beacon power output at 0.0002% and holding," Professor Krazz would chirp to Jacob, who was busy poking away at a circuit board with a soldering iron, the power having gone out meant little, their own part of the lab had backup generators, the low output of the beacon was to be expected, they didn't want it's control radius to exceed that of the facility though for it to be that low for such a large facility, truly Yuri and his mysterious comrades were miracle workers.

"Cyberax unlock the doors for our lab rats, we musn't let a sheet of titanium stand in the way of progress," Professor Diveljan would mutter from his circuit board, on a nearby Monitor behind child like face of Cyberax, the monstrous new AI being developed by him and his team, under the auspices of the Black Skull Enforcers' it's face reflected it's current state, it was still young, but soon it would grow through experience and greater computing power than that of this facility.

The Image behind CYberax would show a diagram of the facility, the aformentioned door would blink twice on the design before hissing open, letting the Capitol Police advance as it closed behind them. "At Once," came the Machine like Voice, "Yuri" it sounded slightly disjointed, and obviously artifical but with great potential behind it.

The Armour Clad Capitol Police would advance through the gloom the red lenses of their masks sinisterly lighting up the grim corridors as their armoured boots fell upon the ground with an ominous clang, in their gloved hands they held their Corporate Carbines, they had been completly equipped as standard from captured equipment, instead of being connected to the Command relay they were instead under the care of the Psychic Beacon.

Yuri would smirk down at the monitor before leaning over to a microphone, "Capitol Police Squad Dankanl, Orinang Kininia 2 you are to engage the Sardukar when you discover him, capture it if possible, if not kill it." He chuckled slightly his voice echoing through the room as he leaned back in his padded chair to watch the show.

"By Your Command," would be the only response as the Capitol Police leered out of the lenses as the final door, which would hiss open, finally they were at the location of the Sardukar, or at least nto far away, no more doors stood in their way, instead a corridor stren with tables chairs and other pieces of equipment.

The troopers braced themselves, their reactions harmonised through the Psychic Beacon and co-ordinated by a Machine Intelligence known as Cyberax, it waxed at the prospects of having been let loose on an organic processor, a Human brain, directing the troopers to carry out orders it retreated back to the depths, to continue growing and maturing, as well as having a fairly meaningful Conversation with Divujel.

THe Troopers leaned over a pair of shattered Tables their gloved hands clasped round the triggers of their Carbines, opening fire immediatly, aiming round after remorseless round into the armour neck of the Sardukar, their aim was accurate to within a nanometer, as the rounds hammered at the exact same spot these were no long Capitol Police in a fashion, they were stronger, faster and more deadly.

"Interesting to say the least don't you think Lieuteant" Yuri would croon as he gazed into a security monitor, while another nearby one would blink the letters C Y B E R A X, "Go Cyberax" The Letters would spin around twice so the name was no horizontal, around it forms a silver oval as it looks up, revealing the face of Cyberax, a silver skull with empty looking eyes and a strange jawbone, "Yes," it's forhead rippling with each word "Yuri?"

Yuri would stroke his chin again, "I want a map of the facility, and also inform the good professor that he is to prepare to leave, and take your main core with him, he is to be dispatched to Technopolis, he will then be relayed to another facility it is to be done immediatly"

Sprinting rapidly Lord Inquisitor Andune quickly entered the room, his feet barely making a noise. It seemed he was too late to be of any assistance. In an instant Lord Andune perceived that the Sardaukar was not yet dead (its respiratory functions hadn't ceased, the Inquisitor could tell that even through the security monitor) yet he dismissed the threat as unimportant compared to what else he recognised. It seemed almost that the Novans controlled the Capital Policemen as a puppet master might, which was most interesting.

Slowly the Lord Inquisitor surveyed the scene, taking in every detail. He had been one of the few Xirniumites left behind to maintain Holy Xirnium’s presence at the allied research facility.

‘I believe, Yuri, that you and I need to have a talk,’ the Lord Inquisitor began slowly, his mind racing with possibilities. The Inquisitor continued to hold his rifle ready, but knew it was no longer needed. The danger hadn't passed, but more important matters were at hand. ‘Now would be preferable, if you have the time.’

He had Barely even began speaking when a nearby Black Skull Enforcer snapped to attention and swirled out of the room, there was evidently some other forms of communication in use, After all the man had left the room before he had said which colonel would meet the Sardukar, "Go Ahead Inquisitor you have my attention and we are alone, Cyberax will be on hand if we need anything" Stroking his chin with a thin smile he looks deep into the inquisitor's eyes, as if staring into his very soul, and beyond an easy task for the most experienced and advanced of all Black Skull Enforcers.

‘You have developed a method for controlling Kraven troops severed from the Command Relay,’ the Lord Inquisitor began simply, in a hushed tone. ‘This "psychic beacon" technology, coordinated by your artificial intelligence, allowed you to issue commands to the Capital Policemen that they followed flawlessly.’

‘As no doubt you are aware, Yuri,’ continued the Inquisitor, pacing absentmindedly around the room, ‘we have had a small problem over the last few weeks attempting to liquidate a Kraven terrorist cell in Holy Xirnium. Apparently it is only a matter of time before the Wolfbrigades detachment is found and destroyed, but I think there is a better way.’

‘Using your “psychic beacon” technology, we could capture the Kraven troops quickly and easily, therefore completely avoiding the possibility of any Xirniumite casualties that would otherwise be risked in the process of wiping out the Kraven scum. Inquisition intelligence reports state that all Wolfbrigades soldiers have their connection with the Command Relay cut before being sent on hazardous missions, so I calculate a high probability that such a course of action would work using your methods,' Lord Andune explained.

The Inquisitor now allowed a tiny hint of urgency into his voice, a completely conscious move. 'But we must move fast, Yuri, and pre-empt the Kraven filth. I fear we have little time.’

"Go Cyberax," Yuri would state his mouth seemingly unmoving yet a powerful voice that demanded obideince would boom out, the letters on the screen would swirl and the Skeletal face of Cyberax would appear, a silver sheen playing round the top right of his cranium, "I am aware of the situation, though it is curious, you assume it works only against Capitol Police disconnected from the Command Relay, a trivial use of a technology with endless potential applications." His gloved hands held over a circuit board as a soldering Iron hovers in mid air stabbing at the compnent below with unnatural precision, searing molten solder with a silent hiss.

"Yes Yuri?" Cyberax would echo from the terminal, his eyes blinking emptily as he gazed out from the monitor looking somehow alive for a machine intelligence, "I want a connection put through to Novacom Manufacturing," idly clattering away in the Novan toungue casually, behind Cyberax a logo would appear, to those familiar with Novacom it would be recognisable as the emblem of Novacom Manufacturing, "Novacom Maunfacturing how may I help, Ah Yuri what can I do for you?" a middle aged man, a Novacom Manufacturing Mechnician would respond on the screen, his voice now filled with recognition and respect, Yuri was a legendary figure, noone quite knew anything about him, yet they knew of his brave actions and there was a great admiration of the man. The Mechnician looks up slightly, his calm yet professional face peering inquiringly outwards, not asking where he was, it was obviously not in Novacom the decor of the facility and it's style were radically different for it to be that.

"How long would it take for you to load a classified cargo onto a Kivha Mechnician?" Yuri would purr, as he placed his left hand into a pocket of his volumous tunic, as it's bottom swept along the ground delicately and his eyes glancing at the Inquisitor piercingly and hauntingly. Cyberax on the Monitors around the room would lunge forward and begin speaking again, "Yuri, Professor Divujel has departed safely and is returning to Technopolis" Nodding at the young artifical intelligence he turns back to the monitor, "3 hours Yuri, possibly less it would depend on how heavy this cargo of yours is, Shall I give the order?" the Mechnician clattered away in Novan to the monitor and tapped a few keys before looking up, and surely enough Yuri would nod.

"Farewell Mechnician," The Transmission would cut once again leaving the Novacom Manufacturing logo, turning back round to the Inquisitor "it can be done indeed, even if the Command Relay were present which I highly suspect it is, I have been informed that Wolfsbrigade have a different method of contacting the Command Relay, an undetectable method, however capture of a Wolfsbrigadier is what cuts the link," Rising up and stalking over to a large computer cabinet and placing the circuit board he had been working on in he continues.

"Unlike Succubus this project did not originate here, the professor's findings regarding the nature of the command relay yielded an important breakthrough, the Artificial Intelligence has a name, Cyberax, and he is not yet ready he is still young and has not yet fully matured" he explained off handedly, as if describing the weather outside or something equally as trivial, meanwhile on the Monitor's Cyberax continued to stare out a slight twinge of indigniancy had played across his simulated features, he appeared the same as before except now however he was now displaying an immense amount of data, most of it annotated in indeipherable formulae and calculus or in an unknown language, usually all three. They would begin to cycle through a great array of items like this picking up a great speed until it became nearly impossible to see as Yuri tapped idly away at the keyboard silently with his gloved fingers.

"That does not mean however the Beacons themselves are unusable, Cyberax's role in the Project is a secret for another time perhaps. Once the Beacon is loaded we will dispatch it immediatly, however though we need to talk to the commander we have their, this is sensitive technology to an extreme, and it would be retreived the second it is possible," Finishing his reviere, he sincerly hoped that there would be no argument on that point, this was technology so far beyond cutting edge it was unreal. Simply having it stand around in the middle of anywhere, even allied territory was folly, and folly was not something Novan's did lightly, if at all, especially on such a critical scale.

"Allow me, Establishing Connection, Admiral Kenzal, NMS Kenzal, Iathern Coast, Connecting, Connection established," Echoed Cyberax from his monitor as the good Admiral appeared, "Admiral Kenzal here, what can I do for you Yuri?" The Admiral's face twitching slightly, behind him is the busy bustling bridge of the Kenzal, in the distance can be seen out the window several Hijir in the air, something was evidently afoot.

"Ah Admiral I want you to dispatch a retreival team to a set of co-ordinates I will send you, when the order is given you are to retreive a certain device and package it off to Technopolis, I trust this is acceptable." Yuri waved a hand non-chalantly at the last part, it would of course be acceptable, Black Skull Enforcers were well within their rights to make such requests of the Military, quite often they could become orders, though that had not been needed to happen, yet.

"Of course, now if that is everything I have matters I need to attend to" Waiting for a moment for a response, when Yuri gave none the Transmission blinked out displaying the Novacom Military Emblem.

"Time is indeed of the essence," while turning his powerful presence to the 4 clocks dotted around the large laborotory, the place was impossibly well ordered, an unusual island of orginisation in this disorganised facility, taking in a soft breath before continuing in his expresionless voice "I trust this is all to your approval?"

The weapons locker would have the weapons and armor of the captured Capitol Police, and the Sardaukar's heavy gatling cannon that was taken from him when he was captured.

Two Imperial Marines came in with Tavor TAR-21's. A Captain followed behind them with a Tavor and a M-203 grenade launcher attached, and two scientists with body armor and AK-47's brought up the rear.

They would kill the Sardaukar if they had to, but hopefully they could just wound him badly enough that they could subdue him and put him in better restraints, and maybe do some exploratory surgery on him.
