As dawn came and the rose up in Lee city, the capital of of Culpeper Virginia cars began to file on to the beltway and children began to walk to school. 2 teens walked down the sidewalk on their way to school listening to musc on their iPods. An old man sat on a bench reading The Lee City Post. The headline was, Tension Builds!!! the front page article read, Hostile civilians and the Confederacy's goverment still have not reached agreements. Delegates from each side meet yesterday at Capital House to disscuss matters of taxes, welfare, and the prospect of all out civil war between the two sides but did not make any progress on keeping peace. As you all know riots have plauged the southern and western regions of Culpeper Virginia and over 150 civillians have beeen killed. 14 rebels,3 police officers, 4 marines, and 1 army soldier have been killed in recent clashes between the two sides.
Culpeper Virgina's president made a radio announcement and a live television press confrence about the situation and said "We will not let the rebels win! Our nation will be preserved!"
The two teenagers continued down the sidewalk. one of the boys looked down the street and saw a humvee with a mounted machine gunner driving down the road. He looked over to his freind John and said "what the heck's goin' on? Do you think its the rebels?"
"Relax Ray, they don't have the guts to show up in the capital city!!! I mean even they were stupid enough, nothing would happen, they'd have the police on them in no time. And next thing you know, their asses will be sitting in jail!!"
"I guess your right.", said ray
The two boys continued down the street and saw on more humvee and three police cars with their sirens on speeding down the road.
"Are you sure nothings-"
"Relax ray! their probably just on patrol."
They continued down the road and later heard gunshots. The two boys turned around and sprinted down the road. About a half mile later they were at the scene of a battle between the Marines and Rebels with the police force trying to set up road blocks while some assisted the Marines.
"Holy shit!!!" screamed ray.
"Jesus said Christ!, screamed John.
A marine turned around and yelled "hey get out of before you get hurt!" ray and john ran the other way.
The marines were licked into a tough skirmish with around 45 rebels. Civilians were surronding the scene as police desperatly attempted to move them. An officer yelled into a mega-phone, "Please leave, you are making the situation worse. We need the area clear!"
With the civilians in the way the marines and police could not use machine guns or position swat teams and snipers in strategic locations for fear of mistaking civilians for rebels. The comanding officer gave the comand to shoot above the crowd to move them. The young machine gunner obeyed his orders and the civilians fled the area. The swat team was called in to a house a quarter mile from the battle. Snipers were all over the city put in strategic locations and the president was evacuated by chopper to his country side retreat. The young machine gunner fired at the rebels and killed four. As the rebels opened up fire with shotguns and M-4's a police officer dropped to the ground scereaming with blood falling from his neck. A medic tried to run to him but was killed from freindly fire.
An explosion rocked downtown Lee City killing miltary, police, and civilians alike. A rebel raid on the Lee City police station killed six officers and a nother attack on a National Guard Armory killed four-teen. The air-force was imediatly deplyed to Lee City and all of the Metropolitan area. Stealth fighters soared through the sky and anti-aircraft fire brought down a hi-jaked helicopter.
Culpeper Virginias president declared war on the rebels and 22 of the 24 states declared Marshal Law.
The two states that didn't, Mank and Jackson seceeded from the Confederacy forming the Country of Mankson. Later that week 6 more states left the Confederacy. The states were, Hill, Mqwe, klag, Washingtonres, Robd,
Hatch.
