ICly, I would have personally had the RCPK disbanded if they didn't. ;) j/k.

Thanks to those who have voted so far.

OOC: Pac, you've managed to pull off the Hamptonian Federal Parties Hat Trick.

While ideologically NARP is to the right of the PdT, it supports FPD because it has a vested interest in keeping close tabs on Pacitalia's most powerful party.

The Popular Party supports the FDP because they are near ideological twins.

The Center Coalition throws its hat into the FPD's ring because they like the status quo wherever it may form.

The Nedalia Liberal Party, currently in control of the Nedalian government, has publicly pledged its support to the Progressive Democrats. They feel that the two parties have much in similar and feel a tremendous friendship could grow between the two countries if the party gains control over the Pacitalian government.

OOC: What are the party's platforms?

OOC: Click the links to the Wiki articles and you'll see the party's stances. Basically that's the same thing in Pacitalian terms as a platform, though if you have a specific issue you'd like to find out about in terms of what parties support/oppose, just ask me here.

OOC:Well, the ruling party in YAfor 2 has the word "environmentalist" in it's name so I can't really support anyone else ( )...unless you want me o become facist or something!

A "non-partisan" political party? Awesome! We favor oxymoronic politics, because they naturally lead to oxymoronic policy and oxymoronic law, and thus oxymoronic nations, oxymoronic diplomacy, oxymoronic international relations, and, utlimately, oxymoronic world government -- until the universe collapses on itself. That's why we voted for the Antichrist League, because we feel it will speed the coming of Armageddon. Oh, wait. "Anarchist." We knew that. Though that will do, too.

[OOC: I hope Stephen Harper wins this winter, too.]

I think that the FPD is the best party to do what's best for Pacitalia, and they'll keep her as great as it is now. I really don't want to see Pacitalia's government change much. (That was Comatica's IC view, by-the-way)

EDIT: Plus, y'know, I hate Commies. ;)

With the political outlook of the Federation of Progressive Democrats the Empire, as usual, throws its support behind them. The main consideration was the fact that of all listed parties the Progressive Democrats have the more libertarian and more capitalist economic outlook, including the limitation of the government's hand in imposing laws on national businesses, which in turn hurts trade between Pacitalia and the Empire. In the form of everything else the Progressive Democrats hold more or less the same views as does Emperor Fedor I, including the limitation of the barbaric death penalty, legal euthanasia and keeping the women's right to choose. All in all, the democrats seem to hold the same progressive views as the Golden Throne's past and current emperors [Jonach I and Fedor I, respectively].

If the Federation of Progressive Democrats does in fact win, like is expected, the Empire is hoping that they will put priority on Pacitalian-Macabee relations including a possible reorganization of the base deal in Pacitalia and a new merchant pact that would further increase mercantile relations between the two countries. Fedor has a lot of trust that Pacitalia will turn out progressive.

In the face of a left wing victory Fedor has also promised that the base will be retracted and Macabee personnel will return home, ending a very profitable market for Pacitalia [much like American bases are profitable in Germany]. We will not give military support to a Communist, Socialist or Anarchist government because it would go contrary to the tenents of Macabee imperialism within the administration.

[OOC: Should the left wing win it would make an interesting schism role play between Pacitalian and the Empire, wouldn't it?]

It remains the official policy of His Majesty’s Government to avoid commentary on foreign elections and the United Kingdom will continue to abide by that policy with the exception to say that we are pleased to see the democratic process alive and well. Regardless of the outcome, His Majesty’s Government and the people of the United Kingdom look forward to a continuing friendship and alliance with the government and people of Pacitalia.

Howard Winchester
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

[ooc: since I don’t know the parties’ stances on the relationship with the UK I vote without fully formed opinions. However, while the governments of both states are friends and allies, the current UK governing coalition would be most inclined to see the Non-Partisan Association come to power… but being a minor political party, their realistic preference would be the continued rule of the FPD. And so just to be in the minority, hooray for the NPA/ooc]

OCC: You did a very good job on writing that up. Really made it seem real. It was a close vote between 3 parties for me- The Non-Partisan Association, Pacitalian Social Coalition, and the Federation of Progressive Democrats. In the end we feel that the Non-Partisan Association party offers the best hope for the nation of Pacitalian.

While all are you voting for the FPD- when the NPA is so much better.
VOTE NO ON FPD AND YES ON NPA. Funny how hardly no on is picking the underdogs (minor parties). Watch the FPD mess up the country and all the rest laugh. BTW- State control of industries is a bad idea. Just look at the mess China got it self in. How did the communist party even manage to survive all these years?- nm I see how, I guess right too- they got money from someone. While haven't you gone to war yet with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic hes trying to take control of your nation.

Ok, thats it- again good work on typing that up.

Why all are you voting for the FPD- when the NPA is so much better.

OOC: Easy. The FPD has governing experience and qualified leaders, while the NPA has no government experience and a leader who many call a heartless b*tch. ;)

As a highly religious nation, and bound by the ideals of the various religions which hold power here in the Imperium. We are at a crossroads. Many Jagadians support the Federation of Progressive Democrats (FPD) primarily for your Capitalistic ideals, which we strongly encourage. Yet our social issues and that of the party conflict far too much for us to cast our full support behind.

Though we must thank the Partia di Traditionale for existing, if you had not been running in this election we would have to have no comment, simply because we cannot support a Communist party, regardless of how aligned our beliefs are.

With that, we do hope the Partia di Traditionale has a good election, and gains as many seats as possible.

Signed,
Emperor Remington Pierce

Anyway, ICly, even though The Voltarum has been a fan of Ell's politics in the recent years, we would still support the Pacitalian Social Coalition simply because it most closely fits our dominant political party.

We wholeheartedly support our Margherian brothers and sisters in the Northeastern Independence Party. They are martyrs and heroes that seek to throw off the maniacal bonds of oppression that the Pacitalian state has imposed upon them. In our own struggles against Oltremarean domination by the occupational forces of the Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire. The brave and long silenced people of Margheria must continue the struggle for self-determination and liberty. The soul of a Margherian is not the soul of a Pacitalian. Margheria must separate itself from the corruption and decay of Pacitalia, it must remove itself from that cancerous body.

PRDI will always stand by the brave men and women of the NEIP.

Freedom for Oltremare, Freedom for Margheria
