Covenant Separatists

Inside a vast white room, unseen voices communicated with each other. Inside the vast room, rows upon rows of liquid filled tubes could be seen. Some tubes were of great height, approximately eight feet tall, while others stood five feet tall, and some others were simple tubes with tiny organisms within them.
There were two voices, both sounding like males. They spoke of the current progress of the test-tube babies, small errors, and the general outcome. Some more time passed before a female voice entered. It spoke inquisitively, she was obviously new to the whole project.
“Why do we not create the Kig-yar in mass numbers, or the Jiralhanae?”
“Because my dear lady. We want unity within the coven. The.. Kig-yar did not contribute to that. In the old coven, they saw themselves higher than the Unggoy. Now the Jiralhanae, if you know anything of your history my dear young lady, you will know that they are one of the direct causes of the old coven erupting into civil war. We will still be having Kig-yar in small numbers, but the parts of their brain that hold such feelings as arrogance and the like will be reduced.”
“I thought all the coven races looked down the Unggoy? They were seen as cowards and useless.”
“Well, my child. The Sangheili did look down on the Unggoy, but that saw them as more of little brothers… a bother to have around, but useful in certain situations. And of course, the Unggoy saw the Sangheili as their big brothers, their heroes. A little brother-big brother situation.”
The unseen man smiled at the unseen woman, and all three of the figures turned to look out of the window of the vast white room. Beyond the window was much, much more. A massive room was building, charging and preparing various old covenant weapons and armor. Elite armor of all kinds, the super-dense hunter armor and shield. Weapons such as the plasma rifle and pistol, the carbine, and even a few hundred energy swords were all being created.
Unseen to those within the room were great space docks in the heavens. Super-carriers, carriers, battleships and destroyers were being created. Although few in number, more would be created soon, same with the covenant.
-------------------------------------------------
“Fight on my warriors! The day will be ours!” Screamed an Elite, clad in white armor wielding a bright energy sword.
Bright blue thick blood splattered on his armor, he looked over and a small group of grunts that were flanking him were dead on the ground, a spray of automatic fire killing them all in one fail spray.
He continued to look on. They were fighting in a lush green forest, well, not so lush anymore. The constant fighting that had been going on for hours had almost leveled that part of the forest. In the distance, an unnamed enemy continued to spray the destroyed forest with heavy weapons fire, the heavy slugs of their weapons ripping up tree trunks and breaking through the shields of his underling elites, killing them instantly.
He stood tall amidst the fire, even though around him his elites and grunts fell. The once unnamed defending force was now pushing forward, and he only had a few of his elites left.
With a battle shout, the elite clad in white armor raised his energy sword and started to charge the position. His remaining elites did the same, firing their weapons as they ran, trying to close the distance for a last ditch melee fight. Immediately, half of the remaining elites were cut down. The automatic weapon was about to be turned on the white elite himself, before a magnificent bright blue and white explosion incinerated the entrenchment.
The white elite looked up, heavy Seraph fighters unloaded their payload of plasma bombs, and swooped off into the sky. All around him, the decimated forest erupted into plasma-based weapons fire.
Great arks of green deadly energy hammered into the enemy position. The enemy turned their weapons on the new force and opened fire, but the great hunter armor held up to the beating. They inched forward, their shields raised, pushing their way closer to the encampment as they unleashed arks of brilliant green beams.
From behind the great hunters ran forward squads of small grunts, wielding plasma pistols, needlers and fuel-rod guns. The white elite saw this, then continued to charge, the enemy too preoccupied to notice him as he leapt in, and started to tear the enemy to pieces.
With the hunters and grunts looking on, the white elite slashed the last remaining enemy, the two halves of the enemy falling to the ground lifeless. The elite looked around himself, then raised his energy sword and bellowed a victory, the grunts and hunters following suit.
‘Twas a glorious day.
