Following a vote of no confidence across Random Kingdom, the insane Human Representative Cornia Eyrie has abdicated, and despite all odds, the first female representative, Salera Bonman-Perita (stepdaughter of Acoran Smith II, and arguably another member of the Smith stable) has ascended to office after a last-minute soar in the exit polls.

Salera, 24, provided an ascension speech, as is tradition, which is given unabridged below:

"For years Random Kingdom has been both reeling and recovering from the war in which my step-grandfather was involved (unfortunately, not on our side), and I promise this nation that while I have the role of Human Representative, and Interim Civerian Representative, an era of prosperity will truly descend on this nation, as I promise to give a lasting impression to our neighbours, allies and of course other nations. I will campaign for the abolishment of the BRODP and ensure, within my symbolic role, of course, that our diplomatic channels are overflowing with interest. With that intent, I now commence my duties as the Human Representative of Random Kingdom."

For now, the sole RK space colony will remain known as Eyria MC, although this may change.

Elections are underway to find the next Civerian Representative following the suspicious death of Aztor III (it is held, albeit circumstancially, that Eyrie was responsible)

Who, me, Salera Bonman-Perita, fifth (or so) HR, who is basically a puppet for the rest of the nation? Or Random Kingdom, a liberal direct democracy of over 2 billion people living in almost perfect harmony in arcologies and other rather tall... uh, things?

I hate not having the power to veto! And I can't move into my penthouse suite until next month due to everything being charred and burnt to a crisp! Surely the people of this great land would treat someone like me, a beautiful femme fatale that won this election on a shoestring, and mostly because of being crowned Miss Acoria 2120, more than what my role implies?

(OOC: So that you know, and most of you already do, I'm male, so my portrayal of sassy women may be rather awry)

As the BRODP was repealed yesterday, the new HR is definately living up to expectations.

The fourth Civerian Representative has been named; it is Cipher-Anai II, descendant of the first King of Geckratonia (the original Civerian homeland, now a region of Random Kingdom simply called Civeria), Cipher I. His speech was just as rousing as his counterpart's:

"With respect to the deceased former, the Honourable Aztor III, I now take upon myself the role of Civerian Representative, and the duty to both represent the will of my people to the global arena, and the will of the entire nation to nations of a non-human majority. In the past twenty years the two positions of Representative have seen much bloodshed and confusion. Now we as a nation must move on, into the future and into our combined destinies. I predict much change for our race, which has been for decades a conservative social model, and for the nation of Random Kingdom, which is only beginning to touch the stars."
