A vast underground movement of dis-satisfied Bigtopian Refugee's had spread throughout Anticosti Island, off the coast of Leumixville. Lemieuxville had accepted these refugees but pretty much had made them a slave workforce, working for the various major business that had set up factories/offices on the island. The navy base, Anticosti Naval Station is set up on a huge habour on the northen tip of the Island....
The Bigtopians have been getting feed up and revolution is in the air... A secret, but bloody revolution.
One of the Bigtopians, no one knows who managed to get in contact with a foreign power and gain their aid for this revolution, The Bigtopian method of Attack, Guerilla tatics... well actually more like Bigtopian Terrorists.
An unmarked, near sea level flying plane dropped a floating pontoon, along the southern coastline of the island, away from the Naval base and low enough to avoid any radar. The Pontoon washed up on the beach, it was soon decended upon by a small army, around 15 people. The opened up the Pontoon and collected various pieces of equipment, various types of explosives, weapons, ammunition and instructions to make various 'home-made' bombs about. Just as quickly as the army appeared they left. It was 15 minutes since the pontoon landed and there seemed there was no sign of there ever being the pontoon.
The leaders of the group that had collected the pontoon from the beach, who had yet to give themselves a name, started to make plans for their first attack..... What would it be?

Gulf of St-Laurent, 0425Z, February 20th.
Flight Captain Dumais was almost asleep in his Su-30M Flanker. The buzz of the jet engine as well as the small buffets from the air around the aircraft were a sure way to doze off your average joe. Moreover, the god awful hour compounded the problem. He had been flying for the last hour out from Baie-Comeau AB.
Except for the sudden rush of adrenaline when a bogey* showed up alert 5 shifts were pretty boring.Even more so since when a real alert happened most of the time it was only a lost punter in his private aircraft rummaging through clouds of empty space.Still he liked this stuff.Being out in the blue with a fast jet and a buddy behind his seat was a good way of earning your wage, he thought.
- Hey, Frank, he called over the intercomm, do you mind if i put a little tune?
- No sir, as long as its not that bloody Britney Spear again. You know fighter pilots are supposed to listen to rock and roll and be hotshots not some girly blonde who listen to pre-manufactured food for gruppies.
- What was that?
- You know what I mean sir, its bloody 4h30 in the morning Britney Spear will only give me the blues about my girl.
- Yeah, some System then.
- Thats cool put it on!!
With that the otherwise quite boring flight turned to a flying hardrock party inside a multi-million jetfighters with missile hanging by the wings.
- Vixen One this is Eagle Eye, we have a bogey bearing 110 angel 000 120nm.Proceed to bearing 180 angel 1 over.
Eagle Eye was the Combat Air Patrol AWACS which was circling some 100 nm to the south of Vixen One.
- Copy that Eagle Eye proceeding to bearing 180 angel 1 over.
- Make visual with bogey and reroute it to Baie-Comeau AB or Anticosti NB over.
- Copy that over and out.
- Over Dumais.
- Cut the music Frank, we re going hunting, Dumais almost yelled over the intercom.
With that said he punched the afterburners and headed for the general bearing of his target.
- Frank get the roaster up.
The roaster was the N-011M Zhuk-M radar in the nose of the Su-30M.Its nickname came from the verified fact that it could roast a flock of goose 4nm out when on full power.
- Copy that sir... we ve got nothing yet but at the altitude he is I doubt we can see it from here.Getting the sea flutter filters on-line.
- Give me a cue when we have him.
- Roger that.
The aircraft was now close to 1000knots, at this closing rate they would have the bogey in visual in about 7 minutes but he was still accelerating.Getting the aircraft in visual range and actually seeing it wouldnt be a walk in the park. The weather forecast for this morning was awful but the pilots from Fox Regiment werent wussies and the commander had given the go ahead for the mission.Intercepting an aircraft in this weather would be funny indeed.
- Captain got him on the roaster but its not a good blip too much interference from weather and sea state.I cannot get a firing solution up.
- Cool, Dumais said.
- Vixen One to Eagle Eye no luck with the roaster asking for advice.
- Copy that Vixen One.Veer off to bearing 197 for 10 s and then 199 for 5 s this should put you on IV.
- Copy that over.
- Over and out Vixen One.
Two minutes later the radar gave a good image fo the aircraft but they were too near for a BVR shot.
- Frank I'm getting the IRST on-line slave it to the target.Throwing Master Switch ON.
- Roger that sir.... its a TB-2 Islander he's climbing. Can't make out the nationality.
- Get him on the radio.
While the Su-30M was a very good aircraft it was first and foremost a jetfighter. Thus, it was meant for one thing going fast and dodging missiles. The aircraft in front of him was propeller driven and was way too slow for him to match speed. He would have to wait until the aircraft had finished his ascent.
- What gives Frank?
- He says he's lost, registrations seems ok.He's out from Natashquan low on fuel.
- OK well what's the situation around us?
- Well we're pretty close to Anticosti but the Navy goofs won't let us land on their airbase we could try but I doubt they will care.Next stop Baie-Comeau.We're also a bit short on juice ourselves.
- Ok tell him to stop his ascent we're coming on his starboard side.
- Roger that.
- Eagle Eye this is Vixen one.
- Roger.
- Got the Bogey it's a civilian who is lost check his flight plan we're getting him to Baie-Comeau.
- Roger that good work!
- Over and out.
With that Flight Captain Dumais escorted the aircraft back to Baie-Comeau without any incident.
*Bogey military term it means an unidentified aircraft as opposed to bandit which is an identified hostile aircraft.

Five men where sitting around a table in a room in a Bigtopian residential complex on Anticosti Island...
One of these men, Jose Mall, who had taken up the responsibility of mission logistics said... "Our first strike should be a test, something that we can do fairly easily to make sure our network functions as it should."
A response came from 'Mike', a codename used so that their leader would be as anonymous as possible... "Agreed.. so what should the target be?"
Daniel Welt, the 'explosive's expert' suggested "What about that Fertilzer bagging place? If we target that, we can also take the fertilizer and people will think it was destroyed in the explosition."
John Bell, the person that handles security, added to the suggestion.... "And if we can make it look like an 'accident' that would allow us to target more important sites... like the naval station... with less scrutiny and a bit more of an easier time."
Andrew Dahn, the person responsible for the training of the various operatives, as he was a teacher in his homeland, put his perspective on this suggestion... "Sounds like a good idea but our operatives are not quite ready yet... just 2 more weeks and we should be finished the training...."
Mike finalised the plan by saying "Okay... in 3 weeks time the fertilizer bagging factory will have an accident... and will be missing a few bags of fertilizer."
The meeting dispanded and just over 3 weeks later....
bags of fertilizer where accidentally left by a 'leaky' diesel drum in the factories storehouse.... a spark from some nearby faulty wireing set the diesel/fertilizer mixture off.... destroying the factories storehouse and apparently many bags of fertilizer as well...

The pilot of the Islander was sitting in the waiting room of the HQ OP Center at Baie-Comeau AB.He had been sitting there for the last hour after landing at the airbase. His papers had been whisked away from him and now he was sitting there with nothing to do except read the aviation magazine which were randomly left on the coffee table. He was at his 6th cup of brown.Boredom was beginning to get the best of him and he was starting to wonder if the authorities had an idea of what he was up to.He was now beginning to sweat and his hands trembled.
Although he was not at his first smuggling run it was his first time getting caught doing it.He had pretended to be lost and all his flight plan papers were in order though he was intercepted almost 100nm south of his intended route. With the weather today it was nothing ouf of the ordinary to get lost.Though a normally sane pilot wouldn't have taken off.But he wasn't sane was he?His 2 flight offences proved that. The more he thought about that the more it seemed that his background of bad behaviour was in his favour. It would be a piece of cake to sell his story to the investigator.Taking off inspite of the weather was a cowboy thing to do and that's exactly what he was a cowboy. He would at worst get another flight offence which would be consigned to his file and then he would be free to go.At best he would get a reprimand and then a scoffing form the base commander and free to leave. Both ways he probably wouldn't be asked what he was doing there so far off course his flight plan.Still when the orderly entered the room he jumped on his seat.
- Mr. Tremblay? would you follow me please, said the Sergeant.
- Sure I've been waiting long enough, he said eagerly.
The faster I get out of here the better.
- Just there Lieutenant Dumais will receive you.
- Thanks paddy!
- Thats Sergeant for you sir.
- No problem, he said with a forced smile.
Tightassed fuck!!
- Good morning Mr. Tremblay have a seat.
- Thanks.
- Not too shaken by your little adventure?
- Nope, well less than when I was in the kite.
- For sure, so I have some questions that I have to ask you before I can finish my debreifing paper.
- Go on as long as it doesnt take too much time I'm quite tired.
- So am I Mr.Tremblay so am I... So first things first you departed from Gaspé to where exactly?
- To Sept-Îles.
- And you took off at what time?
- 3 oclock in the morning sir.
- Quite late for a flight dont you think.
- Well I have to get instrument flying hours so I can get a commercial liscence.
- Hmm... and you couldnt have done that earlier in the night?
- Like I said to you on the tarmac, I had to loan the aircraft from a friend and he had some deliveries to do so thats why I ended up having it only at 3 in the morning.
- Right, I remember seems a bit late for deliveries no?
- Well he does what he has to do to get everything in time.
- What's the name of that person please?
- Stephane Foulon, he works for GMS.
- Is the aircraft registered to his name.
- I think so.
- What's the registration already?
- Q1234FG
- Thanks... now explain to me how you veered off so much from your planned route.
- Well everything was ok except for the weather and then my gyro took off.I dont know why i just know that it completely stopped working.I had my GPS but I didnt trust it...
- Why is that?
- Well I hadnt updated my position for a while and the ATC wasnt asking for it so I concentrated on the bearing. The gyro was way off since I ended up so far south. But that I only realised when you showed up.
- Hmm... the thing I dont understand is why didnt you check your GPS.You are thought to do so.
- Like I said I forgot it since there was no one on the ATC frequency asking for it.
- Ok but still with the weather tonight dont you think it would have been advisable?
- Yes but I'm not at my first winterstorm so I thought I was going to be ok.
- Did you know that if you continued traveling that way you would have ended in the No-Fly-Zone of the Anticosti NB?
- Huh no I didnt know that, he was now beginning to show some stress.
God he knows everything.
- OK Mr. Tremblay you seem tired and I have enough information to finish my debriefing.I will debate with my superior as to whether or not this warrants more investigation. You may follow Sergeant Kirov he will escort you to the R&R room where you ll be able to catch some sleep.
- Cant I go to Sept-Îles.
- Certainly not in this weather more so since your aircraft is not in top shape. You will wait in the mess and somebody will wake you up when it will be time for you to leave. In the meantime I'll have one of our technician check the gyro in the Islander and then you'll be free to go if the weather permits.
- Gawd Foulon will kill me.
- Well sir consider yourself lucky to be alive the Navy goofs shoot on sight.
With that Mr.Tremblay gulped hard and was off to the officer mess.

(OOC: I'm timewarping a bit... Just introducing some other characters...)
Jacob Behemoth... was a short man... and had a quick temper... most of it was because he hated his name... "Why wasn't I born with a proper name ... even 'Smith' would be great... " he though to himself...
but now was not the time for complaining about his parents.. He was perparing for a first strike at the Lemieuxville corporations and government that had held them in slavery for so long.... He nearly hated them as much as his name... Everything was riding on him... The Party of Five (OOC: the group I introduced earlier) where breathing down his necks making sure this get's done properly.. he had gotten Loiuse to get a cousins freind, who worked at the Fertiliser plant a spare set of keys and access to the codes required to access the storage and other sites....
He had managed to get Johann... "I'd do anything for a name like that..." he thought to himself often. To 'locate' a catering truck from a company that is ready to steal at a moments notice.. it had plenty of room for what they wanted to put in it...
He had got info on where the diesel for the forklifts are usually kept... thanks to Loiuse's cousin. And know all the he had to do was to was deal with the security guards..... Hmm.... That was going to be a problem... how to get in without knowing that people are in and doing any damage to the security gaurds... it was meant to be a covert operation anyhow....
Jacob thought and pondered about this....there is an answer... I just have to think about it....

The scene before Claude's eyes was sinister at best.Snow falling from the sky melted away on the hot metal which had been the structure of the loading bay, and in turn produced tiny steam clouds puffing up into the air adding eeriness to the already eerie feeling he felt.
The loading bay was a mess.A diesel drum ignited for no known reason and then the flames spread to the fertilisers bag which were stored for shipping. Not much people knew it but most fertilisers were quite potent explosives by their own moreover when they were mixed with burning diesel. The result was that the entire loading bay was flown up into the air in tiny bits and the administrative building right beside it was blasted open like it was made of paper. The rest of the factory suffered damage as well but at least production would not be affected only the shipping part of the operation would be held up for 3 or 4 weeks.
Claude Saget was head of security for CIL's fertilizer plant. He had been in the army as a drill instructor and was now earning some decent money working small shifts and managing the small contingent of security guards that were appointed at CIL's Anticosti operations. It was a good lazy job fit for retired officers like him.But now the lazy part had changed, something had fucked up quite badly and he was the one who needed to give answers to the big suits.
- So Mr.Saget, what is that?
This was Mr.Hubert Garon an investigator flown in from mainland CIL headquarters. He was there to assess the situation and the impact on production.Since Saget was head of security the task of informing this frail man about the situation fell to him.
- Well, it would seem a diesel drum ignited and the flames spread to the bags of fertiliser that were stored here.Giving the nature of the particular fertilisers we produce here the mixing with diesel produced an explosive mixture which was then primed by the flames and the entire loading bay went up.
- Hmm... but how did the diesel "ignite" in the first place.
- Well that we dont know there is no forensics experts here on the island at least none working for CIL.But it's quite obvious that its diesel that started all this.
- That I can see thank you.I see in your file that you were a field engineer in the Home Guard so how would you have done this if this would have been a mission.
- Well, I'm not sure that it was intended.Accidents happen here all the time. The Biggies don't have much brain so I guess someone just dropped a leaking drum there... Saget pointed to a twisted metal h-beam with some wires hanging from it.
We didnt find the drum itself but 4 days ago a Biggy backed up his lifter directly into the fuel storage bin which was located there. It's possible the same thing happened but this time the lift would have had spilled the diesel either on its exhaust or on some unprotected live wires.Security procedures are not very stringent like you know, its as though we're back a 100 years regarding work conditions.
- It is unfortunate then that the Bigtopians employees didnt took more care. How much of them were killed in this incident.
- Looking at the punches for the working cards it would seem 5 of them were inside the loading bay.I'll spare you the details but we didnt find anything to say they survived this. There were some 50 employees in the building there, 3 citizens dead and 12 injured including the deputy director of this plant. The rest were Biggies either injured or dead I have all this in my report.
- That is really unfortunate that the perpretators are all dead because we would have had them pay for the damage now headquarters will have to take care of that.Do you know how much these employees cost to CIL every year in accidents and damage to property?
- No idea sir.
- Well let's just say that its much more than you re paid for your work here...
HQ wants this cleaned in 48 hours and a construction team will be ferried in 4 days from now.I want all your reports shipped or transmitted to HQ then you are to destroy all copies that are in your hands.May I remind you to keep a tight lip on this Mr.Saget.
- No sir it goes without saying.
- Very well then, I'm done with your investigation you've done a good job here so far so keep up the good work I have a plane to catch and some other things to talk with the director. Thanks for your time.
- You too sir and have a good flight.
With that both man departed.Mr.Garon to the office of the director and Mr.Saget to the office of the foreman.

The attack on the Fertiliser plant was a great success... The Party of Five (Jose Mall, 'Mike', Daniel Welt, John Bell, Andrew Dahn) was discussing what to do next...
"We proved to ourselves that we can do this.... A few people died... but what do you expect.. We can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs." Said Daniel
"We should plan another attack..... This need to affect the military... We need to destroy the military so we can take control of our own destiny." thundered Jose.
"Well that leads to Ammunition and production factories of military equipment." stated Andrew.
"For a real effect on the military we need to destroy all of their infrastructure at once.. We don't have the people to do that."
"well... We need to recruit to our cause... The best way is to start attacking the major corporations bringing down their Economic might bought from the sweat of our brows..."
"Right ... We'll take down the major Leumixville's major Corps one at a time. So what is the biggest one?".....
(OOC: Could you give me a list of the 5 biggest corps on Anticosti? Thanks TG them to me)

Jacob Behemoth heard the explostion of the Fertiliser plant... He was on his night shift slavery time..... He could not help but crack a smile though he quickly took control and looked around puzzled.... Though he knew exactly what occured.
Once his shift was finished taking the long way home he dropped by the Fertiliser plant to see the damage that had been done.... The loading bay was completely demolished the, administration building was severly Damaged... Unfortunately the fertiliser production facility was virtually untouched however..... "Okay.... Target production. That's what I'll do next time." He stayed there for a few minutes just looking at the investigators... They easily determined that the fertilser blew cause of the diesel... but could they have worked out that is was on purpose?
From their body language and how they treated the other Bigtopians it seemed he thought himself Superior in everyway... "Ah... He thinks we are dumb... We'll show him." Jacob left the scene and got home. He tried to get in contact with his team members......
This was when he found out that none of the people that entered the building to make the nice big kaboom had come out again. All he did was shrugged his shoulders and made a call to organise a meeting with the Party of Five and organise the bombing of his next Target

Jacob Sighed.... He had been given instructions by the Party of five to target the General Motors plant on the western side of the island... He had done his research, he managed to find a way around the plant that would not require a code... but it required a hole to be made through the wall. Even the police would be able to see this was a deliberate act of sabotage....
...
Somewhere on the island.... Other Bigtopians... in no way associated the Jacob Behemoth or the organisational body known as The Party of Five... had organised a courier service to drop a videotape to one of Anticosti's few media organisations... though once again most of the product produced went to the mainland.... The tape had no voice, or sound.... just pictures of the CIL plant that was destroyed and the following text.
"For many years now, Lemieuxville has enslaving the Bigtopians on AntiCosti Island. They have been doing this under the banner of "Immigration" but we have been enslaved and kept prisoners on AntiCosti Island with the AntiCosti Naval Station acting as our prison guards. The pictures you are seeing are what happens when we slaves Rebel. We will not let up our campaign until major changes occur."

Lemieuxville Cable News Network, 6 oclock news reel.
-And on another note this video was sent to us via an anonymous source.Supposedly this is the CIL plant on Anticosti island which seems to have suffered a bombing of some sort. There is not much information about the incident although it seems clear from that video footage that the damage to the plant is quite serious. The video was also shipped with this note attached to it.
"For many years now, Lemieuxville has enslaved the Bigtopians on AntiCosti Island.
With that we join Julie Fortin which previously spoke to officials from CIL's headquarters in Lemieuxville.
- Hello Julie.
- Good evening Jacques.
- What exactly did those officials had to say on this?
- Well Jacques, I met with Mrs.Sophie Prémont who is the Press Officer for CIL and she said to me that the footage we were given was indeed the CIL Anticosti plant. However, she was quick to point out that this was footage from the shipping docks of CIL's operations in Anticosti and that while damage was quite heavy it wouldn't hinder CIL's production capabilities. As we spoke shipping was already back to normal from the CIL factory according to her.
I also asked Mrs.Prémont if she had seen the pamphlet which supposedly originates from the Bigtopian workers. She said that this particular incident happened several weeks ago and that the investigation proved without any doubt that the explosion was accidental in nature and had nothing to do with terrorism. She was puzzled as to why the Bigtopian refugees would publish such a letter since CIL's working conditions were much better then what they had endured in Bigtopia before coming to Lemieuxville.
- Was there any casualties in this explosion?
- According to CIL there were some injuries but no death related to the explosion of the loading dock.
- We see from the video that the part of the factory was quite literally blown apart. What CIL had to say on this.
- Mrs.Prémont explained to me that a leaking fuel drum was the cause of the explosion.CIL's plant on Anticosti produce fertilizers for agricultural and industrial use it would seem that these are quite powerful at doing their intended purpose but Mrs.Prémont said to me that when mixed with hydrocarbons like diesel fuel they become dangerous matters of a very explosive nature.Mrs.Prémont said that the diesel from the drum spilled onto some fertilizer bags and then mishandling from a worker ignited the whole loading bay.
She also stated that luckily only severe burns and broken limbs were suffered by the employees working in the loading bay at the time of the explosion.
That's about all the comments that she had to give regarding this entire affaire.
- Thank you Julie and keep us posted. We now move on to the local weather forecast. So how is the weather going to be tomorrow Jean-Paul...

Jacob Behemoth had been given instructions to target an Automobile Company called GM. The security for GM had been slightly better. But this time they where not aiming for it to be an 'accident'. The team was split into 2 groups, each group had a different target within the GM compound. The first group was to target the GM administration offices and the other to target the production building.
The aim of the administration was to destroy all records and internal systems causing chaos in the production plant the second was to destroy the production building itself... So as to casue extra damage and be a big pain in the side. They used some of the fertiliser they stole from the Fertiliser plant and some deisel thy bought for their vehicle which they syphoned out and used for the explosive mixture. For the production building they had managed to get a hold of information about it's key structural points... It's amazing what some people will not do just because they think your dumb.... and Bigtopian
The team managed to sneak up on a gaurd and killed him before he knew what was happening. They used the guards swipe card to get them in and then set the explosives up ... in the middle of that another guard was dispatched of because.. .well they had moved both bodies to inconspicious locations... the outside guard was behind a dumpster and the inside one they get in they kept locked in a room..... So after they set the timers on the explosives and activated them.... they ran.... However the ran into a barred door and could not get through.... The bomb exploded...
---------
The Party of Five where watching the Cable news channel when the video and story on the CIL plant aired... This was a problem... There is someone who is using our acts for their own benefit... Hang on... We can use this for our own good.... They schemed and started to prepare a video of their own

(OOC: this happens during the evening following LCNN airing of the video. So it's before your last post)
Emergency Chief of Staff Meeting, Lemieuxville Parliamentary A1 Office, 2045Z
The room was soberly decorated with paintings of previous prime ministers and people of note hanged to the walls. Some of those paintings dated back to the 18th century when Lemieuxville had become an independant nation freed from the colonial powers. The walls which held them were painted beige creme and several greek-style columns were spaced at regulard intervals. Those were quite intricate in design and flourished with gold leafings as decoration.
The roof was very high and of a gothic design with 3 giant crystal candeliers hanging from fancy steel chains. Those candeliers were worth their weight in gold and were almost as old as the paintings on the walls. If you would have asked the janitors of the parliamentary building they would have said they were a pain in the bottom to clean but they nonetheless admired their painstakingly detailed carvings.
Just under all that mass was the big oak table where the cabinet's ministers and advisors were seated.A small screen and projector had just shown the video which had been filtered to the LCNN news service.Within seconds of the last word of the story a heated debate broke out between the various participants of the meeting.
- Why didn't you know of that Tremblay it is your job to keep us informed of these kind of threats. We pay a fortune for your LBI joint and you cannot see the Damocles sword hanging on top of our heads.
- Shut your shit tap Renée you dont have the slightest idea what you're talking about.Actually, if you werent so close to your pennies we might have been...
- ENOUGH!!!! this was Henri-Pierre Lemieux the vice-prime minister. His booming voice had silenced everyone and at 6'6" nobody dared contravene his order to hush.
- Calm down gentlemen this is a meeting of the Chief of Staff not a semblant of a 6th grade name calling shunt. We dont even know yet what has happened there.
So Mr.Jobin what does the LBI deputy director has to say on that?
- Well sir it's a complete surprise to us.We do monitor every Bigtopian that enter the country but when they cross onto Anticosti we lose trace of them since they de facto become the property of the companies working there.Since the LBI financial branch is only meant to investigate possible frauds and illegal sales and exports we do not mettle in the human part of the equation. We should have done it but then judging by the past actions of Bigtopians it seems that we effectively quelled the rebellious sentiment that was there 9 years ago.
But then again accusing the LBI of not having seen this is utmost idiocy, with that Jobin launched an accusing look at Renée Maillhotte, minister of finance.
We just do not have the legal means to do it moreover, if we are to believe CIL it was an accident with no real consequences. So jumping on the terrorists bandwagon is a bit fast.Even those goofs at LCNN didn't bother treating this as a terrorist act.So why should we?
Nonetheless I've got my boys asking very personnal questions to CIL's boss right now I will have more on that early next morning when I see their report.
- OK so are we to believe CIL's version?
- Well as of now there is just no proof to the contrary. What we have to decide is wheter or not the minister of justice should enact a special law enabling the LBI to investigate this matter.Such a law has been passed when the Bigtopian rose in 1996 and my predecessor did a quick job of resolving the situation. Now 9 years later it would seem suprising that the terrorist movement had not been quelled in the first place.
- I would like to point out to everybody that since those 9 years the number of Bigtopians residing on Anticosti has more than tripled. So should this be the beginning of an uprising in the same vein as what happned in 1996 we would face a much bigger mob of angry refugees.I'm not sure that the LBI would be able to quell this one, this was Defense Minister Gérald Lemieux.
- Let's not jump into that for now.We do not know what happened yet so let the wind blow on this for the moment and we'll see what happens.I'll call Mr.Toulon of CIL and ask him if we can send forensics experts in Anticosti to investigate the bombing. Then it would be up to you Mr.Jobin to find us the proofs that point out to a terrorist action or not.Does that please to everybody here?
Everybody answered in the affirmative.
- I would just like to point out that this still has to be done quickly if we do find out that it was terrorists we do not want to leave them the initiative, said Mr.Jobin.
- Do not worry my friend if it is indeed a terrorist uprising the Naval Base in Anticosti will provide the perfect staging point for an anti-terrorist strike upon the perpretators. This time we need to send the Army in and nothing will stand in front of it, Mr.Toulon said with confidence.
- Well if you ask me Mr.Toulon using the Army in this case will be like using a surgeon using a chainsaw to operate someone in the brain. We need speed and finesse not a lenghty and cumbersome chain of command.
- You should trust us Mr.Jobin.It's not your band of spies that will be able to shutdown over 4 million angry people.
- Can anybody here come to a consensus on this. The Prime Minister doesn't want to have a band of sissy fights especially not if this develops into the worst.
- Indeed Mr.Lemieux what we do need is a swift and precise action if this is what we fear. Not sending in 6 months recruits with big guns and eager fingers.
- What do you know of that Mr.Jobin you didn't even got any service time because of your political connections. You do not have the slightest idea what Lemieuxville's Army training is like.
And with that another word fight developped in the A1 Office. This time it lasted for several minutes and Vice Prime Minister Lemieux still had to intervene and calm the flaring tempers.Still the gentlemen inside came to a conscencus and decided to let the LBI investigate this for the time being.

GM Anticosti Production Plant, Anticosti Island, 1st march 2006, 1417Z
The place was simply a mess. The tall proud buildings of the General Motors factory now lay in ruins on the ground an haphazard mess of twisted steel and blasted concrete.Smoke was still rising from the rubbles and god knows how many souls were still trapped inside the remains of the administrative wing.It had been 4 days since the destruction of the factory and LBI's rescue experts had stated that no one could have survived more than this and so Gérard Lefebvre was there with his investigative team to determine what had caused this disaster.Out of the 300 employees working their shift that day only 64 had survived with minor injuries while another 87 had much more serious ones. The death toll to date was 149 killed or missing and with each hour passing the missing would become more casualties.Whatever happened or more accurately whoever did that didn't missed his mark.GM's operations were severely crippled and the perpretrators certainly got the attention of the government.
Still rummanging these thoughts the LongRanger helicopter that Lefebvre was in touched down amongst the remains of the factory.Once the dust had cleared off he removed his headset and got down the chopper. He walked swiftly to a non descript tent his head bowed down and lifted the canvas falp and entered the tent.
- Good afternoon gentlemen.Do we have all the team in?
- Yes sir, reported back his 5 men team.
- Good, Charon what do you think of that?
Charon was the disaster assessment expert.
- Well sir it's almost certainly an explosion.Like you can see here, here, here and here there are 4 huge craters where the bedding of the high furnace were.Charon pointed with his finger at an aerial photograph of the aftermath and then pointed to a detailed plan of the factory.
There's also an explosive circle on the west wing of the adminstrative building. The 4 furnaces could have accidentally blowed off. They melt steel in those furnaces to produce steel stampings that are shipped over to GM's assembly lines on mainland Lemieuxville. And they use a lot of natural gas to power these things.Enough to blow the entire factory in the sky.The administrative wing is something else. There's no hazardous materials there and its a completely separate buildings filled with paper pushers so I assume it was a bomb that gutted this building.I cannot be sure for the factory itself.
- You two what do you think of that? Lefevbre asked the two forensics experts.
- Like we can see on the aerial pictures the administrative building was destroyed by a bomb. All the rubbles form a concentric circle from this point here. There's a lot of debris on top of the crater but from the aerial photographs we clearly see the pattern of the explosion. As for the factory there are 4 separate craters each spaced almost equally and somewhat far from where the propane feed lines enter the furnaces. So from eyeball mk.1 it would seem that these 4 were also planted with bombs.
- Right, seems clear to me that it was a terrorist act but we need proves.Lemieux any idea how they could have achieved this?
Lemieux was a retired officer from an engineering unit in Lemieuxville's fabled Expeditionary Forces.
- It was a big boom for sure. There are 2 ways to do that.First you use a lot of explosives. It's somewhat cheap to do and its something anyone with chemistry 101 can do.Or you use military-grade explosives and carefully place your charges to make it look like an accident. That's obviously not the case here. The feed lines would have been my priority target.Blow them to hell and then let the propane do the rest maybe get in some secondary incendiary charges to make sure that propane ignite. That's the trick of the trade.I doubt any Bigtopians knows enough to do that. Moreover, from the photos it seems the deflagration didn't originate from the feed lines. So my best bet is a lot of explosives.Either black powder, dynamite or some tweaked fertilizers could do the trick.Get me a sample of what they used and I'll have an answer.
- Good Jobin, Hébert get moving on that right now. With that the 2 forensics expert grabbed their gear and were out the door.
- Bouchard get in touch with GM security and have a containment 200 meters from the craters. No one except the 6 of us gets inside that. The rescue team destroyed a lot of evidence and i dont want anything more spoiled.
- Lemieux you stay with me while I get in touch with the VP.
