To all, to all, to all:

I, Cyrill Pankow, the Chancellor of Ogletree, am pleased to bring joyful news: my 21 year old son, Rufus is seeking a bride. If any woman in either Ogletree or any other nation desires to ask my son for his hand in marriage, please let me know.

Now, for the benefit of the curious, here's my son's stats:

Rufus stands 5 feet, 11 inches, is of atlehtic build, blonde hair (a la Fabio, no less), brown eyes, slight tan color in skin, and is good humored. He loves gambling, cooking, travel, humor, collectiing rare record albums, the holidays and basketball. His pet peeves: cowards, bigotry, greed, unfaithfulness and ingratitude.

We have a lot prepared for the wedding once Rufus chooses his bride and all nations, icluding the citizens of Ogletree will be invited. In fact, we will broadcast worldwide the wedding on all our TV stations. The marriage will take place at out largest Cathedral, and will continue on from there in a parade, en route to the reception, which will be held at The Ogletree Women's club, where we will have:

*White angel food cake.
*White Korbel champagne & Diet Pepsi Cola.
*Chili, Ogletree's national food.
*Filet migon, broiled over mesquite wood.

We will decorate the place with white cages, each containing 4 white doves and white satin ribbon bows. For the entertainment, we will have at the turntables, M. C. Aeris Dogg, along with The Toronto High Cheerleader Squad, featuring Rebecca "Becky" Welsh, doing their hit single, <<B.E.C.K.Y. >>. I promise, it WILL be quite an event.

So we hope to hear from all you in the hope that some worthy and lucky lady may be my son's wife.

Good luck,
Cyrill Pankow,
Chancellor of Ogletree

Inside the Chancellorly palace, located in Ogletree's capital city of Tropica, Rufus Pankow was hunkered over his computer, poring over an onscreen list of women wanting to be picked as his bride while his old man, Cyrill stood by.

"So what do you think of Celine Porcaro?" asked Cyrill.

"Fouls," replied Rufus. "She's a bigamist."

"Then what of Mariah Mottola?" asked the Chancellor.

"Nah, she's old and dull." said the son of Cyrill.

Looking over each of the photos that came with the names on the list,
Cyrill mused, "That......that Debi Mason Green seems like a nice girl."

Shaking his head, Rufus said, "I don't know, I don't feel no love from that name. Besides, she refuses to give up her Protestantism to convert to
the Roman Catholic faith in order to marry me."

The two went over several more lists before Cyrill said, "That Stephanie Thorpe seems like a good prospect......exactly what is it you're looking for, Rufus?"

"Someone sexy and loving," was the reply. "and.......here's what I am looking for....out of the 12 remaining choices--Jill Phillinganes, Sandi East, Jessica Per, Jillian Shaam, Tiffany Owari, Celeste Raton, Sarah Jane Fennel, Jacinda Betelguese, Amaya Voda, Thane Stave, Alis Diyan and Ianthe Staam."

"Quite a list," said Cyrill. "And if none of those women succeed, there's bound to be other women from other nations."

"I agree, Pop," stated Rufus. "I didn't think falling in love was hard work."

"That was how it was when it came to me courting your mom," said Cyrill. "Let's print a hard copy of the lst and call it a day for now. I got some chili dogs with your name on them."

"Thanks, Pop," said Rufus, grinning.

We have a few questions before we consider disseminating Rufus Pankow's information amongst the populace.
Is the position of Chancellor elected, and if so, does Rufus have a method to support a wife?
What, if any, religious prejudice/requirements does he ascribe to, if any?
How will he choose between any prospective brides?
Would Rufus be willing to alter his wedding plans to suit his future wife?

We do hereby offer our daughter, Her Imperial Highness Anna of Yiddisherland, who is 19 years of age to be your bride. She is 5 foot 7 inches, with long auburn hair and blue eyes and skin complexion is pale and is of a slim build. She loves to travel, horseback riding, and the other pursuits of the idle rich. Her flaws include: piety, bigotry, and the dislike of commoners.

We are also prepared to pay to you a dowry, should you accept her as your son accept her as his wife, which would consist of a) Land, b) a noble title (Grand Duke of Judea), c) 3000 oz. of gold, and d) another noble title for your son (Margrave of Teschen)

Would Rufus be willing to alter his wedding plans to suit his future wife? The position of Cahncellor is elected, and yes, Rufus DOES have the means to support his wife, when she is the vice Chancellor's wife (Rufus is Ogletree's vice chancellor). In fact, tradition states that the chancellor and the Vice chancellor share their money with their spouses. In fact, their wives can also take jobs as one of the senior officers in Ogletree's assembly.
No problem with religion, whatsoever.
It's a matter of Rufus interviewing each woman, and the one that he likes the most, the one that sparks his interests the most is the one that will be chosen. basiclly, with the same reality show contest based process. And yes, Rufus is willing to alter his wedding plans to suit his future wife. It's not as tough as you think.

Green Sun doe snot have any available women from the Royal Family to offer. Although our president is single, she's much too old for someone at the age of 21 (She's 35) and has a very important job.

We will, however, keep close tabs on this, because if a Theao royal be the bride, Green Sun's Royal Family will be related to someone in a nation we know nothing about.

We have offered Rufus Pankow to the public and have received one respondent that was deemed suitable. She is Miss Sarra Gerral. She stands a height of 5'7" in stockings and is age 20. She is a classic nordic blonde with a degree in enviromental biology. She likewise enjoys basketball and cooking, thought dislikes gambling(Certain card games notwithstanding). She dislikes those who litter or otherwise purposely despoil nature and those who are cruel to animals. She also has a pet ocelot by the name of Jimmy.

Upon entering his son's office, Cyrill found Rufus back at his computer, checking out a new updated list.

"Still at it again?" he asked.

"Yup," replied Rufus. "We've had 11 additions to the list so far."

"Then you can add a 12th hopeful to the list for a total of 24," said the Chancellor. "The nation of Yiddisherland offered their 19 year old daughter, Her Imperial Highness Anna of Yiddisherland, who is 19 years of age to be your bride. She is 5 foot 7 inches, with long auburn hair and blue eyes and skin complexion is pale and is of a slim build. She loves to travel, horseback riding, and the other pursuits of the idle rich. Her flaws include: piety, bigotry, and the dislike of commoners. Here's her file and her photo."

Upon loading the file into computer, Rufus said, "She's so.....lovely.....!! We've got to add her to the list of hopefuls. I have hope the interviews with her and the others results in a good chioce." A pause, and he added, "I hope we get to know each other, in the hopes she will be chosen as my future wife."

"In many ways, I hope so too," said Cyrill. "The Yiddisherland goverment is also offering a dowry of a) Land, b) a noble title (Grand Duke of Judea), c) 3000 oz. of gold, and d) another noble title for you (Margrave of Teschen)."

"Quite an offer," agreed Rufus. "So it seems everything's getting interesting. Let the good times roll!!"

"Amen, Rufus," stated the Chancellor. "Also added to the list is from the nation of Theao; She is Miss Sarra Gerral. She also has a pet ocelot by the name of Jimmy."

"Seems our list is getting better and better," said Rufus.

"Only time will tell," said Cyrill. "One thing's for sure: it will be the ultimate event in all of Ogletree's history!!"

04-12-2005, 18:27
"How's the interviews coming?" asked Cyrill.

"Without any hitches," said Rufus, who was having nachos and diet cola. "New women, from both Ogletree and the other nations keep coming in, and all the women have so many good things 'bout them selves, they're so sexy and beautiful--there's just so many of them, selecting one is going to be the biggest challenge of all!! By the end of the day, I have to take in a hot tub session with a can of diet cola in one hand, and a plate of nachos in the other, just to keep my mind in check. It's hard work!!"

"Did you get to interview Sarra and Anna yet?" aske the chancellor.

"Yup," said Rufus, who was just finishing his nachos. "Sarra seemed so nice and kind while Anna was so sweet. Her eyes were real twinklers while Sarra had a unique outlook on her future. But choosing one of those women is going to be no easy task."

"Agreed," said Cyrill. "Keep in mind, that the deadline is December 21, 2005. That would be quite a merry Christmas to say the least."

"I'll remember that," assured Rufus. "In fact, I might make my choice much sooner then that, who knows? Don't worry, be happy."

"Good luck to you, then," said Cyrill, grinning, already confident in his son.

Whether they are helping with the festivities, or just keeping the wrong sort of people out, they would like to help out. We can also send some of our greatest cooks to help with the meals, if that is alright with you.

~Exten CaineConsider it done. They can help with arranging the decor, as well as helping M. C. Aeris Dogg do her soundchecks. As for the cooks, they can help out--bring as many as you can and as you have--I just hope they (a), know all of Emeril Lagasse's greatest spices for the food, and (b), follow the menu I have selected for them to cook. Thanks and kudos!!

Tropica's (Ogletree's capital city) #1 wedding dress desinger, Marisol Pereira, entered Cyrill's office and said, "Marisol Pereira reporting for duty."

"Wassup, Mari?" said Cyrill. "As you may or may not know, you're one the best here in Tropica, if not in Ogletree, right?"

"Does a bear growl in the woods?" said Marisol. "I've dress for weddings, parties, events, quinceneras--you name it."

"Then you're our woman to design the wedding dress for my son's future wife, so here's the design I drew for you," said the Chancellor, handing Marisol a drawing of the wedding dress gown.

After examining it, Marisol said, "OK, your son's future wife got herself a dress!!"

"Then hop to it," said Cyrill.

"OK, boss," replied Marisol, before she went out the door with the dress design.

In the central council chamber, Chancellor Cyrill Pankow was talking over the details with the following people on arranging the wedding once Rufus made his choice who would be his future wife--dress designer and maker Marisol Pereira, Tim O' Day, the president of Ogletree Communications, which was in charge of all the nation's TV, radio and digital sattellite stations (which would cover the event), General Spike Jobson, of the Ogletree Army, which was suppying the security, Detective Comissioner Muriel Deacon of Tropica's 2112th Precient, whose police force would also keep the peace and prevent trouble, the brothers Shiro and Isao Tachibana, who were the heads of Ogletree's publicity section, Arthur Fleu De Coupe, the Chancellor's personal head chef, M. C. Aeris Dogg and Rebecca "Becky" Welsh of The Toronto High Cheerleader Squad, all seated at the huge table.

"OK," said the Chancellor, "First thing's first--M. C., I trust your sound systems and mixers will be ready for the recption, right?"

"No need to worry," said M. C. Aeris Dogg. "I've got 1200 watts of 12 speakers by Cerwin Vega, Monster Cable lines, digital fiber optic cable for the sound, a computerized Electro Voice mixing board, and 400 watt Carver amplifiers all pulsing out the ultimate in duodecaphonic sound."

"Well done," said Cyrill. "And of you, Becky? I hope you and your squad will be sharp as a surgical knife?"

"Like, no worries," said the blonde pigtailed cheerleader, who was blowing bubble gum. "Like, me an' my fellow cheerleaders have been rehersing, like, for days, and BTW, we've been usin' tough actin' Tinactin for when we do all that standin' round."

"Perfect," said Cyrill. "Monsueir Fleu De Coupe, will all the food be ready, along with the diet soda and hot dog kiosks located along the parade route?"

"Oui," said Fleu De Coupe. "We start from the word go."

"Merci," agreed Cyrill. "Shiro, have you and Isao done your part in the crucial publicity at hand?"

"Hai, Chancellor san," replied Shiro. "We've arranged for a bouquet of 1200 roses to be given to the bride, and we'll get a shot of that for the newspapers and TV broadcasts."

"And," said Isao, "the best reporters will describe the action as they cover the momentous event."

"Arigato." After a swig from his diet soda, the Chancellor said,
"Comissioner, I hope you and General Jobson will do your darnest to keep the peace here."

"A-A-A-A-MEN!!" replied the Comissioner and the General.

"Well done," staed Cyrill. "O' Day, is your end ready?"

"You betcha," said O' Day. "Over 12,000 radio, TV and sattellite stations should be at the ready. Over 72 plasma screens will be set up, in strategic locations and in living high def color."

"Splendid!!" Turning to Marisol, the Chancellor asked, "Marisol, you said you just finished the wedding dress gown, right?"

"That I did," replied Marisol. "It's a white satin off the shoulder type with a lot of ruffles, seed pearls, satin ribbon bows, and a ribbon, diamond and seed pearl decorated veil, all quite ornate."

"Fantastic!!" said Cyrill. "You've all done fantastic work, and I congratulate you all, or words to that effect. Right now, I just got word from my son, Rufus, and he just finished all the interviews with the hopefuls; he said he'll make his choice at midnight, our time here. Guess everything went well so easy. So I guess all we can do is wait. So good luck to you all. Meeting adjourned."

After the people gave their thanks and good luck to the Chancellor, they departed from the chamber, while Cyrill waited, staring out the window down below that overlooked Tropica's neon lit cityscape, waiting in confidence, for that big moment......

And believe you me, I was hyped up when he told me who his future wife would be.

Anyhow, here's the verdict--the future wife, for my son, Rufus Pankow, the vice Chancellor of Ogletree is............Her Imperial Highness Anna of Yiddisherland!! Congratulations to her!!

On a slightly more cynical note, did it have anything to do with the fact that Her Imperial Highness's father offered a fairly substantial dowery?

Even as he looked out his bedroom window, Rufus, a grin on his face, could hardly contain his excitement over the upcoming wedding. Right now, his old man, Cyrill came in and said, "Hey, Lion-In-A-Cage, you looking foward to the wedding?"

"You best believe it!!" replied Rufus. "In the immortal words of Gladys Knight & The Pips, and their songwriters, it's the best thing that ever happened to me!! It's a dream come true!!"

"You're marrying a lovely wife, indeed," agreed Cyrill. "What do you think of the dowry they offered you?"

"In a word," said Rufus, "fantastic. I consider that quite a present."

Sighing, Cyrill said, "Try to get to bed, OK? We've got a long day ahead right up to the wedding. Good night."

"Good night, said Rufus, "and thanks."

After Cyrill exited, Rufus hit the hay before drifting off the sleep a grin on his face.

"True enough. I kinda look forward to this, but I'm still nervous, and I'm sad that I'm going to be leaving all of you and this country, but I suppose I will survive."

At 10:44 PM, the Kaliosian plane entered Ogletree airspace. The pilot signaled the air tower down below. "This jet plane Kilo-one-niner, requesting permission to land."

The twin princes sat in first class, playing a small game of Halo 2.

"I got you in my sights!"

"Where are yo--- DAMN IT! That's the eighth time in a row!"

"Gotta love that sniper rifle."

Marcus was smiling as he outlead his twin brother 29-13. Julius simply set the controller down and walked to the back, where the cooks sat.

"You win, and I'll admit, you are better at war games than I am."

"At least you'll admit defeat easily," consoled Marcus ,"some people throw their controllers and that pisses me off."

One of the cooks raised his hand to Julius.

"Excuse me, sir, when are we landing." Julius looked at the fellow. "Whenever they feel like the gas is too low. And don't call me 'sir'. It bugs me."

"Yes si--- Julius, sir! Damn!"

Marcus smiled as his brother headed toward the back of the plane to clean himself up for the landing.

Rufus came into Cyrill's office saying, "The plane from Kalios, carrying Marcus, Julius and the cooks just landed at The Tropica Universal International Airport."

Standing up, Cyrill said, "That is good news to me, to say the least. Let's hop to it and meet them at the airport."

Within moments, Cyrill and Rufus and a handful of others piled into a stretch limo, and headed to the airport, ready to meet the first VIPs in Ogletree........

Inside the princes' suites, Cyrill and Rufus found Marcus and Julius trying to best each other at Halo 2, on their new X Box 360ss, and as usual, Marcus was in the lead when it came to beating his sib, at a game like that.

"How do you like your X Box 360s so far?" asked Cyrill.

"Fantastic," replied Marcus. "We just finished up another game, and we're ready to help out with the arrangements."

"Component and S video--they're the way to go when it comes to games," said Julius. "But just once--"he hissed to Cyrill--"I'd like to best Marcus at Halo2. Anyhow, is that M.C. Aeris Dogg as fantastic in looks as she is in talent?"

"Right said," replied Rufus. "So's Becky and The Toronto High Cheerleader squad. They'll show you what they want and how to help them out."

"I can hardly wait," said Marcus. "S-O, we just got word that the cooks have assembled in the main kitchens and they're ready for your word."

"Then let's go down ther and get started," said Cyrill. "Then afterwards, we'll help out M. C. Aeris and Becky's squad."

While Cyrill, Rufus, and the twins exited the suite, Julius turned to Marcus and muttered, "Another rematch."

"Bring it on," said Marcus.

Within the huge kitchens, the chefs of Kalios set to work in making the food for the occasion at hand--the wedding meal as well as a lot of food for the VIPs--pots of chili beans treated with the expertise of people taught by Emeril Lagasse, big mesquite wood pits for grilling the steaks, the ice box rooms for the cake that would be baked along with the diet drinks, and the Romaine lettuces to make the salads, gallons of balsalmic vinegar and olive oil, bottles of Emeril's spices, Korbel champagne, and so forth. When the time was right, the food would be loaded on the trucks and taken to the Ogletree Women's Club where it would be served to the guests.

Satisfied, Cyrill moved on the the said Women's Club where he over saw Marcus and Juilius arrange for the setting up of stage for M. C. Aeris Dogg and Becky & The Toronto Cheerleader Squad, along with the rehersals conducted at hand, with well performed expertise. Sastified with that, Cyrill placed a cell phone call to his staff to make ready with the last phase of arrangements.

OOC: Sorry for the delay.

Three large military aircraft escorted by several dozen fighters appear on your military radar. When asked to identify themselves, they state that they are HIRH David IV, his entourage, his daughter and their escort. Several hours later, after traversing through your nation's airspace, they land at the largest airport in your capital city, and soldiers from one of the accompanying planes unrolls a large section of red carpet from one plane, which bears the royal seal of the Emperor.

As your soldiers begin to line up to form a ceremonial guard, the Emperor and his family await inside their aircraft for the arrival of your dignitaries, namly the Chancellor, his son, other memebers of the family, and other senior members of your administration.

From The Tropica Communique newspaper, dated December 9, 2005:

THE YIDDISHERLAND EMPEROR & HIS FAMILY AND ESCORT ARRIVE IN OGLETREE'S CAPITAL CITY OF TROPICA IN ANTICIPATION FOR THE WEDDING

There was high expectations in the air when The Yiddisherland Emperor David IV, his entourage, his daughter and their escort landed at The Tropica Universal International Airport, where they were greeted well by Ogletree Chancellor Cyrill Pankow and his son, Anna's bridegroom and Vice Chancellor, Rufus. The Chancellor gave the Emperor the key to Ogletree and a bouquet of 1200 red roses to Anna. After several short speeches, Cyrill, Rufus, The Emperor and his family and their escort were taken by limos for the journey to Cyrill's palace where the new VIPs would be pampered to a shopping spree, a steak dinner, all the comforts of home, everything.

Said Rufus of his future bride, "I feel like I am on cloud 9, bar none. Anna is eveything I hoped for."

Anna, for her part, said to the press: "I am looking foward, yet I can't help but feel nervous. But then, it's just typical wedding jitters. Maybe once the wedding begins, I can forget my troubles and let myself go. Oh, I got a chance to see the wedding dress Miss Pereira made for me, it's SO gorgegous!! It's TRULY a wedding to remember!!"

Again, on behalf of the paper's staff, goood luck, Rufus and Anna!!

While Cyrill and Rufus showed The Emperor and his family all 'round Ogletree, many preperations were underway--from security checking out and preparing the parade routes to preperations in the cathedral, from the news coverage announicing when the wedding would take place (wich was on December 12, 2005) to the preparing of the food at The Ogletree Women's Club, not to mention the hour long rehersals for M. C. Aeris Dogg and Becky and The Toronto High Cheerleaders.

That wasn't all--there were several private prenuptial parties as well; ironiclly, at one point, Cyrill asked if a batchelor party could be arranged, but Rufus refused, and rightly so, stating that he would rather look foward to the future. A fure with his future wife. "Ogletree's saga," he said, "is just beginning."

From time to time, Rufus and Anna got along extremely well--proof that their love was stronger than strong. And both were confidedant that the upcoming wedding would be a success.
