By Royal decree,

In these dangerous times more and more nations look more and more often for excuses to take a and violent hard approach in their foreign policies and war is a occurrence happening more and more often.

Under that note the Empire of the Isles; Dumpsterdam, is making hard and staunch stance on the fact that it is very much capable of defending its own holdings against any foreign aggression. Therefore the Empire has decided that alongside its Fortification Act of last year it will also increase the annual military budget by another 15%. This means that the DDF will see an additional 1.250.000 new recruits and these need to be trained, equipped and armed to the high standard of the DDF.

In general this also means an overhaul of the basic kit that every soldier carries.

- Rifle.(More accurate then the current FN2000, similar weight, similar ammunition.)
- Sidearm.(Easier maintenance then Glock20, similar ammunition.)
- Bodyarmour.(Taken by Rodan Protection Works)
- Rations.(Subject to presentation of contractor.)
- Electronic equipment.(Taken by Tempe Electronics)

Anyone who can supply us with these items - which must be of high grade - can look forward to a order numbering somewhere in the 15 million pieces and commonly another 5 or 6 million spares, depending on the type of product.

We will treat all offers equaly and look forward to a large selection of land-warfare contracters to present their wares to us.

Alfarius Damocales,
Imperial Councillor,
Minister of Defence.

Official Corporate Response

While we regret that the contract for body armor has already been aquired, we would like to contest both the contract for an infantry rifle, and that of the sidearm.

Our contender for the rifle contract shall be none other than the already popular DR-31A1 Advanced Lightweight Assault Rifle.

This weapon has consistently performed well at ranges up to 1,000 yards, far superior to that of the F-2000 rifle equipping your forces. The weight difference between the DR-31 and F-2000 is minimal at the very least. Its sighting systems are the absolute state of the art, as is the cartrage it fires, the 6.7x41mm CBM (Caseless Blended Metal). This weapon has served with distinction in the Imperial military for quite some time, as it has with several other armies.

As for your sidearm, we suggest our DAC-91K personal defense weapon. While quite different from the Glock 20, it is quite accurate and easy to maintain. It serves as a sidearm in the Doom Legion, and does so quite well.

Pale Rider Arms would like to offer the M22 series rifles for your use. The pair of weapons share 80% of their components, making repair a simple matter.

PRA M-22A2 HVAR

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/blaesa/coltm22a2.gif

6mm HV Caseless, 30mm Grenade
Barrel Length: 550mm
Mass: 5 kg empty, 7 kg fully loaded
Length: 950mm
Magazine: 40 rounds caseless, 6 rounds grenade
Rate of Fire: 550 RPM
Muzzle Velocity: 5000 fps
Sight: Integral x2 Optical

Cost: 2500 USD

The standard assault rifle of the Otagian armed forces, the HVAR fires 6mm rounds at muzzle velocities nearly twice that of modern rifles. Combined with the rifle's high rate of fire and integral grenade launcher, the M-22-A2 is an efficient and effective choice for your nation's military.

M-22A4 HVAC

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/blaesa/coltm22a4.gif

6mm HV Caseless, 40mm Mortar
Barrel Length: 450mm
Mass: 4.6 kg empty, 6.6 kg fully loaded
Length: 800mm
Magazine: 40 rounds caseless, 5 mortar shells
Rate of Fire: 550 RPM
Muzzle Velocity: 4750 fps
Sight: Ironsights, standard accessory mounting rail

Cost: 2600 USD

A carbine version of the M-22, the M-22A4 is intended for paratroopers and other special forces. The barrel is shortened, and the integral sight is replaced with a universal mounting rail. The grenade launcher has also been replaced by a 40mm mortar. Rifling in the barrel is increased, however, compensating for the shorter barrel at close ranges. The short barrel can also be switched out for a longer, 650mm variant. Combined with a high power scope, this variant of the M-22A4 becomes a passable sniper rifle.

As for the pistol, we are sad to say we do not currently offer any small calibre pistols. However, the Predator III 13mm pistol offers superior stopping power, as well as excellent armor piercing capabilities.

Predator III Heavy Pistol (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/blaesa/normal_arespredatorIIIerase.jpg)

Re: Pistol

We at MP Ordnance Corporation think that we have the right combat pistol for you. Making a pistol that was easier to maintain than the Glock 20 was not easy, but I think we managed to pull it off.

Design Notes:

Lightness: The L-26 uses a small amount of titanium in its construction, lightening its weight slightly over the Glock 20.

Magazine Spring Tension: Glock magazines are notorious for losing tension in their springs if left loaded for too long. This has been corrected.

Manual safety: The manual safety detaches the trigger from the hammer and firing pin completely, making it more safe to walk around with a round in the chamber.

Chambers for you: If a round is not chambered when firing, the gun will chamber the first round for the shooter, allowing shooting in a one-handed situation.

Grip: Slim as possible, very ergonomic, does not feel like you're holding a 2x4.

We thank all providers for their offers so far, but wish to point several things out.

Doomingsland Defense Industries, is free to offer us a reliable and modular bodyarmour if they can. But they will have to top the armour designed by Rodan Protection Works.

MP Ordnance Corporation, we wish to enquire if this is a new weapon that you designed just for the DDF, and if so, could you offer us the tests charts and a few samples so we can make our comparisons?

Pale Rider Arms, although unknown over your competitor Doomingsland Defense Industries, your weaponry is looked upon favourably by atleast some elements in the DDF. Should we get no more offers, you have a high chance of getting the contract.

Edit: OoC: Doom, the second link for the handpistol is the same as for the rifle, just so you know.

History

The L10 Service Pistol came into being as the need for a modern pistol capable of penetrating body armour for the Praetonian military became apparent. This coincided with a decision to issue a sidearm to every member of the Praetonian military, not just have them reserved for Officers and NCOs as previously had been the case. Consequently, this was a golden oppurtunity to replace the aging pistols in service with the Praetonian armed forces with new ones at the same time as updating manufacturing facilities and logistics units to equip far more people with pistols than had ever previously been the case.

Operation and Ammunition

As mentioned above, a new round was developed for the L10, this being the 11 x 22mm Imperial Ordnance caseless round. The round is made from tungsten carbide for an added punch against body armour, and is electrically fired. In order to provide power for the electrical triggering mechanism, a coil runs around the barrel, converting a fraction of the energy of the round into electrical energy which is then stored in the weapon's battery. As the amount of power produced by the detonating charge far exceeds that required to trigger its ignition, the battery does not need to be replaced until it physically degrades.

The L10 is capable of semi-automatic fire as well as firing three round bursts, designed to be used against heavy body armour and thin skinned vehicles such as cars. These bursts fire in extremely rapid succession thanks to the increased RoF allowed by the electrical trigger mechanism. The magazine is capable of holding 20 caseless rounds, as well as an extra round already loaded into the breech, enabling the weapon to fire a neat 7 three-round bursts out to its maximum range of 62m.

ooc: Why would you want a weapon purely for the DDF? If that was the case, then I would have designed a less reliable and inferior export version of the L-26 to sell to you. Besides, you didn't specify that the design had to be original in your contract.

Re: Pistol

Well it's not a weapon designed specifically for DDF forces, MP forces have been using the L-26 for over 10 years now.

But a shipment of 16 samples is on its way to Dumpsterdam as well as a test sheet showing our results.

Test Results:

Drop Safety Test: The drop safety test showed that the trigger disengagment manual safety reduces the chance of accidental discharge by over 50% as compared to the Glock 20

Water Safety Test: The L-26 can be reliably fired in water up to 25m deep, thanks to its strengthened spring cups (firing pin bypass for water, which prevents excessive hydraulic pressure from being generated when the firing pin moves forward)

Accuracy: Is slightly more accurate in both single shot and double tap situations than the Glock 20 thanks to its longer barrel and better sights.

Mud/Dust/Ice: Works reliably in all of those situations, thanks the small number of parts, moving or otherwise, that are in this gun.

Failures: Fired 20,000 times with +P high pressure loads without failure.

Feed failures: Thanks to the larger, double clawed extractor in the L-26 over the Glock 20's extractor, the L-26 will almost never fail to feed.

L17 Assault Rifle

The L17 is bullpup design based on the British EM-2 rifle but using the forward case/cartridge ejection system of Fabrique Nationale - Herstal's F2000 5.56 x 45mm assault rifle for improved ambidextrous firing. A folding charging lever is on the spine of the rifle underneath the picatinny rail. The picatinny rail permits the fitting of a wide variety of aiming devices, from iron sights, optronic sights (optical, thermal, infra-red, holographic, and low-light), to the RINO's computerised sight (RINOCS).

The RINOCS enables a soldier equipped with a connected helmet mounted display to look and fire around corners without exposing much of him- or herself. It may also be used to compute impact point of either direct fire (bullets) or indirect fire (rifle grenade) projectiles and, in conjunction with other aiming devices, may allow similarly equipped soldiers to designate targets for other members of the section or squad.

The operation of the rifle is as follows: gas from the propellant impinges through a cavity in the barrel to the gas tube above. This gas pressure then forces back a gas piston that acts on the bolt carrier, causing the bolt itself to rotate ejecting the case or round. The rotating bolt mechanism both reduces the number of parts and the overall complexity of the design, as well as facilitating field stripping, cleaning, and operations. Cases/rounds are then ushered out of the front of the rifle by the bolt carrier. The ejection port in the front of the rifle opens and closes with the action of the bolt carrier, closing when the bolt is forward. The forward ejection system facilitates ambidextrous firing yet protects against the ingestion of foreign materials into the rifle's mechanism.

The L17 may easily be fitted with an underbarrel grenade launcher, such as the M203, or a non-lethal attachment, such as the FN303. It may be fitted with other aiming devices and peripheral equipment, such as a laser aiming device, a torch [flashlight], and other systems as required.

L19 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG)

Based on the superb Mitrailleuse d'appui général (MAG) and Minimi machine guns from the Fabrique Nationale - Herstal, the L19 GPMG will serve as the new section and platoon-level machine gun in the UKIN Defence Forces (UKIN-DF).

Like the Minimi, the L19 can accept either belted ammunition or magazines from the new L17 assault rifle to fire providing flexibility of operation. Similar to both the MAG and the Minimi, the L19 has a gas regulator allowing the gunner to select the rate of fire or to compensate for adverse conditions. As with those two designs, this gas regulator is attached to the quick change barrel permitting rapid barrel changes in combat without having to resort to tools. The barrel has, however, been chromed to reduce fouling and to prolong barrel life. The barrel release is on the sturdy carrying handle. The L19 has a push button safety.

The L19 is equipped with a picatinny rail atop the cartridge feed cover able to accept a variety of sights, from standard day optics to thermal imaging or other systems.

Characteristics
Calibre: 6.5 x 39mm Grendel (123gr {7.97g} bullet, 17.17g cartridge)
