Kahanistan was a country in ruin. Stories of atrocities circulated just as fast as the finger pointing, as well as denials. But one thing was clear and could not be denied: the Sentinels were closing in on perhaps the last large holdout of the Kahanistani people and military.

Automagfreek had been on the receiving end of great criticism since the order to lift the 'Bonesplitter Doctorine' wsa given in light of WMD attacks by Kahanistani forces. Though some saw AMF as acting accordingly in its own defense, others saw it as a blatent violation of human rights. Both points could be argued, and indeed they were.

But as the Sentinels began to circle across Najaster, the capital of Kahanistan, they were given orders to cease fire. The assault would be delayed for several days while one final ultimatum was issued...one final chance for Kahanistan to do the right thing.

Since this war has caused me nothing more than a giant headache, I will cut straight to the chase.

I am giving the nation of Kahanistan one final chance to surrender to the Excessively Armed Empire. Your navies have been sunk, your air force obliterated, and your armies smashed into pieces. You have been beaten....but for some reason the leaders of Kahanistan refuse to admit it. Still you carry on your struggle in vain against a force you can no longer weather.

As we speak my units are waiting for my order to engage, and the most brutal battle of the war will be fought. And at the end of the day the Sentinels WILL emerge victorious, there is no doubting that anymore.

I ask you now to take the pleas of the bleeding hearts across the world into consideration and surrender. There is no sense in ordering the death of what people remain inside Najaster. Your forces are trapped inside your capital, and there we can starve them out, bomb them out, shell them out, and do what we please to them. There is no point in continuing the suffering, and this is your last chance to cut your losses and make it out alive.

I will allow unarmed and neutral ships from any nation to freely sail to the Kahanistan coast and evacuate those that do not wish to stay in Najaster. Those who wish to flee before the wrath of Hell is brought down upon them MUST leave the city unarmed and MUST be searched by my forces in the area. They will do biological, x-ray, and metal detecting scans to ensure that no civilian is armed, and they will be given an electronic tag to monitor who has been searched. If the tag is removed or given to another person (perhaps a soldier or operative), the suspects will be shot.

Any ship that enters Kahanistani waters is required to fly a white flag of truce, or else you will be turned back. All ships will be escorted by the AMF navy, and there you can process any refugees trucked and bussed out of Najaster.

After evacuations are complete Kahanistan will be allowed another 12 hours to surrender. If they once again refuse we will have no other choice but to enter Najaster and end this war once and for all. Najaster still stands only because of my good graces on this day, so do not throw this last chance away.

Another nation to the chopping block it seems, but we from the Empire will not stand idly by and offer our help in this situation.

There will be a cadre of Royal Navy vessles outside of Kahanistan waters in 48 hours, with the arrival of a fleet of unarmed troop transports a day later. The transports will be ready for boarding by AMF troops, but we wish to make clear that any loss of life or equipment while our cooperation with you lasts will be frowned upon. The escort cadre will stand-off in International waters and will not engage unless engaged first, but I think you can understand that quite well.

We hope to keep this "transaction" between our two nations as clean as possible and look forward to your hopefuly favourable responce.

I beleive you misunderstood, the would not have been harmed, nor would they have been taken out of their palace. The Government of Kahanistan has always allowed those who wish to flee to do so. We have no intention of putting the lives of others at risk. Most of the civilians inside Najaster are the ones who have decided not to flee, the majority of citizens have fled long ago. We are down to 200 million of one billion.

However, we have no intention of surrender. Your Sentinels are outnumbered, and we are on the defensive and provisioned to last for months. However, in the interest of saving lives, I and the Government of Kahanistan are willing to discuss terms of peace. I am sure you will find the terms quite reasonable, and find that I am not the religious nut that some have made me out to be.

First, what Kahanistan will NOT do:

1. We will NOT surrender. We will only accept peace terms that do not ask us to "surrender."

2. We will NOT send any of our surviving population to Kraven or its allies for the Sardaukar or Capitol Police programs or any other experiments.

3. We will NOT become a slave state of Kraven or any of its allies.

What Kahanistan MAY do if the situation warrants it:

1. Reduction of military strength, to be negotiated

2. Destruction of some or all WMD, to be negotiated

3. Extradition of some or all accused war criminals, contingent on point 2 below.

What Kahanistan would PREFER to come as a result of the war:

1. The end of mass killings of Kraven thought-criminals (the reason for war).

2. The abolition of Puritania as a punishment (we will not send our generals to undergo such inhuman hell).

3. The rebuilding of Kahanistan.

The announcer on LCTV-Czarna gestures towards an image of a crowded street, people waving signs, yelling. Over the distant noise (and the sounds of the stopped cars honking), the announcer resumes her report, speaking in a flat and emotionless voice cultivated by advertising.

"...in the streets of Palma, Dorándor, Arkaia, and many other cities. An estimated 135,000 citizens are thought to be demonstrating in Mjenaz alone today, one of the largest demonstrations this week. Calling for an end to Automagfreek's alleged atrocities and human rights abuses in Kahanistan through force if need be, they were joined by over 15,000 members of the Czardaian army throughout the day..."

Foreign Minister Alhoun turns off the television with a flick of the remote and sighs slightly, looking around his heavily air-conditioned office. At that point his assistant, Lorin Dax, walks in from his own nearby office, bearing a sheet of paper in his hand.

"I've just got this in," he says, handing a sheet of paper to Alhoun.

Alhoun looks over the sheet. "An open message from Dreadfire himself? I see."

"Well, with all the protests going on... we thought..."

"Well, yes," said Alhoun. "Taking military action to save them is kind of pointless... as we know very little about what's actually going on except for rumors that have leaked through via Xirnium or Halberdgardia. I'll write something up."

It is with a heavy heart that Czardas, by nature a lover of peace, observes this conflict in Kahanistan. The Czardaian people wish to help any Kahanistanian citizens who would be willing to evacuate, and thus we would like to request permission to send several transport ships or helicopters to Kahanistan to pick up refugees. These will not be armed military-grade ships or helicopters. They will be escorted by the Czardaian navy out of our waters until such a point is reached as the AMF navy will reach them, for security purposes to protect against attacks from the Doomingslandi, Parthian, or Warmaster forces currently at war with the Concordance; if you do not deem this appropriate, the transports will not be escorted by Czardaian ships.

We will send approximately 70 or 80 transport ships, enough to carry approximately 168,000 refugees.

A thick report landed with a thump of the desk of King Drake. With a heavy look on his face King Drake thumbed through the intel report that stated quite simply, that the Empire of AMG would crush all life within the city. The wholesale execution of civialians was not merly a threat, but a promise to those who used weapons of mass destruction against Automagfreek.

He turned to Evo, "Do you think that The Government of Kahanistan will surrender?"

Evo shook his head, "Give me liberty of give me death. It appears they'll be given death."

King Drake nodded. Sending airships unescorted was dangerous. However, it was the right thing to do in this instance.

King Drake was writing the order. He then began writing another proclaimation. An offer for a peace conference to hash out a treaty. He didn't know how much the 11th Hour chance had, but it was the least he could do.

DEPLOYMENT ORDERS

The Queen's Cross and 24 Supply Craft are hereby ordered to deploy to the region of Kahanistan to assist in the voluntary evacuate the civilain population of Kahanistan. As per international agreement, all ships entering Kahanistan Airspace must be unarmed. The Queen's Cross shall escort them to the border and await further orders. The Department of State will attempt to hold peace talks aboard The Queen's Cross

The King then wrote out a message to The Government of Kahanistan and to The Government of Automagfreek.

The nation of Tahar Joblis will gladly provide transport for any refugees. Dirigible transports can be at the Kahanistani coast within a week's time, and ocean-going transports in roughly three weeks.

A Tahar Joblissan fleet group has been deployed, and will be standing at station between one and two thousand miles from Kahanistan when Tahar Joblissan transports arrive. Any ill treatment of Tahar Joblissan aid workers or unarmed transport vessels will be met with severe and immediate consequences. A referendum authorizing the full use of force on Automagfreek's leadership and military in the event of Freek treachery during these proceedings has been passed by the general populace.

Tahar Joblis also calls for an immediate cease fire, with interim negotiations at a neutral site to proceed during any period of evacuation. We would like to see the immediate withdrawal of all Automagfreek forces from the sovereign nation of Kahanistan, and Automagfreekian war criminals brought to trial before an international tribunal.

I would personally ask the government of AMF to please hold off any attack until all non combatants are evacuated from the area. I would also like to ask the government of Kahanistan to remove all non combatants from the region.
I ask both parties is it possible to have a negotiated peace to stop this bloodshed. Crimes have been committed by both sides. A third party to help resolve this conflict may be the only answer. I implore both sides to consider this.

General al-Ghazi, though we are technically 'outnumbered', we would like to remind you that your forces are nothing more than a rag-tag conglomeration of poorly trained and equipped regulars and irregulars. Your numbers mean nothing. My forces have you surrounded, are better equipped, and have functioning, well protected supply lines. You cannot hide inside Najaster forever, for your major water treatment plants were pounded relentlessly early on in the war. With Najaster cut off from the outside world, disease and starvation will run rampant through the city. But i'm sure you don't need me to spell it out for you.

Automagfreek will only accept surrender from the Kahanistani government. Terms of that surrender can and will be worked out between diplomatic parties, and not military authorities such as yourself. Your nation is in no position to make demands as your leaders were the ones who refused diplomatic negotiations with myself during the Kraven peace talks. Kraven is not the issue here, this is between Automagfreek and Kahanistan. We cannot make Kraven cease their activities, as we believe a nation has the right to do as it pleases inside its borders.

Kahanistan will admit defeat and surrender or we will finish this war the hard way. Do not let your pride get in the way, because this is your last chance. The nations of Velkya and Xirnium have experienced our good graces first hand, and can tell you that our terms will not subjugate you to The Kraven Corporation.

Prince Drake and Admiral James "Peg" Kirk boarded The Queen's Cross on what would seem as another very interesting mission.

Peg was having a small fit. He never ever liked deploying without escorts. However, like all good soliders, he was willing to do his duty.

Drake was anxious as well. Drake had grown up on The Queen's Cross. When he was 12, as part of his training, Drake was put on the airship as a cabin boy with only then Captain Peg aware of his royal heritage. The resulting years made Drake a tough young man.

Drake took the commander's chair and lifted up his mike, "ALLSHIPS! ALLSHIPS! This is Sky 6! Report in when ready to depart!"

Kraven Corporation, stand and realize that you are but one small nation among many, and your alliance no more impressive than many which have risen and fallen around Tahar Joblis since its founding in olden times. You must understand that you are part of a larger international community, and one that has a vested interest in seeing war criminals brought to justice.

The precise scope of trials, composition of the courts, etc etc is something that we are sure could be negotiated. But do not try to belittle us, Kraven Corporation.

Tahar Joblis fought against GDODAD when it commanded the active support and membership of dozens of nations who dwarfed Automagfreek; Tahar Joblis watched GDODAD fall in the collapse of the Underwater Bubble. Tahar Joblis helped settle the peace after the Amerigan War that rocked the entire world. Tahar Joblis, with help from only Pure Evil, brought the nuclear warfare of Allanea and its allies to heel. Even today, we regret the somewhat excessive use of force in that particular instance; we have a conscience, and that we may later regret an excessive response is the reason we have not already intervened militarily. There is still time for a diplomatic solution.

Tahar Joblis, a nation larger than any of your allies, understands the value of peace. Do you?

We see war crimes. We see genocide in progress. And we are stating clearly for the record that this must end, and those accountable for violating the standards that prevent the world from ending in a bath of blood should be brought to justice.

AMF was put at the top of the GDODAD hit list by the testimony of former members for its bold actions against their alliance. Truth be told that without the coordination and determination of Automagfreek, the GDODAD may not have fallen as it did.

As for AMF's involvement in later incarnations...let's just say that times were different back then, especially with the demon whore Rayne running about. In the end the wrongs were made right, and Dreadfire pulled Automagfreek from the GDODAD. The rest is history.

Automagfreek also does not commit genocide, but instead engages every hostile target regardless of age, sex, or status. By the widely recognized rules of engagement a civilian holding a weapon or assisting a military unit is no longer considered a civilian, but a hostile target. When you have an entire city full of hostile targets taking up arms against you and resorts to terror attacks, things change. The people we killed were not innocent or unarmed. All unarmed people were evacuated from the country before the war even began.

Standing on the quarterdeck of her flagship, the Iowa-class battleship HMW Indomitable, Admiral Elizabeth Patritsia sighed as watched the glorious spectacle of her 4th Crusader High Seas Fleet, escorting a gigantic transport armada, moving at ‘ahead standard’ and in battle formation towards the tortured nation of Kahanistan. While the Xirnium High Command was reasonably confident that the Freeks were people of their word, that uneasy trust most certainly did not extend to the filthy Kraven and their fawning slave-allies, treaty or no treaty. Constant vigilance was always required, no doubt the depraved Kraven Corporation would only be too wiling to violate a non-aggression pact.

‘My Lady, a message from the Automagfreek Supreme Warlord,’ explained a Lieutenant, handing the full Admiral a sheet of paper.

Admiral Patritsia had still to get used to her new noble rank and promotion to full Admiral, both awarded for her exemplary conduct in the Nuekalayan Civil War. It still sounded strange to her, and just as she had only started to getting used to being a Vice-Admiral!

Automagfreek is not bound by laws but their own. International will should not be confused with international law. AMF is not in any UN, Geneva convention, nor equivilent. Second, The Federation is opening several settlements for Kahanistan refugees in Shiron. It is hoped that this will allow refugees of this conflict to come back together and reknit family and social ties that have so far been destroyed as their homeland has been ravaged by war.

We should point out that at no time will Kahanistani refugees in the Federation be forced into the service, or slavery of Kraven or its allies.

Further, I wish to re-itterate the offer made by King Vrak, as Federation President to the nation of Kahasistan about joining the Federation.

The King has proposed talks about The Queen's Cross, but it seemed pressure from the international community has pushed the peace progress foward and the talks would be held in country. Sounded good to Drake so long as nobody else was killed. Drake had studied the situation and felt a pang of saddness as he knew in his gut this war would just lead to others.

Drake picked up his mike, "ALLSHIPS! ALLSHIPS! THIS IS SKY 6! UNFURL THE WHITE FLAG ON ALL SHIPS PREPARING TO ENTER THE COMBAT ZONE! Break-"

The fleet of disarmed transports, helicopter carriers for evacuation missions, and hospital and supply ships, escorted by ten medium destroyers, slices the rippling blue waves proudly, sterns high, Czardaian flags flying alongside white ones, signifying peace. Manned by the minimal personnel to allow a maximum number of refugees on board, the ships are spread out in a loose formation, the destroyers and several flights of Daggers scanning the area for any known enemy activity.

The message comes in to Amperoc's link and he lifts the headset, pressing the button to open the display. "What is it?"

"Approaching Kahanistani waters, awaiting instructions." Amperoc stares into the rigid face of the captain of one of the destroyers.

"Stay back and retreat to T plus three hundred klicks," the vice-admiral instructs.

"But sir..."

"This is AMF's request, and I think we should listen to them."

"Yes, sir."

"Over." Vice Admiral Amperoc shuts off the display, sighs deeply, looks around the papers cluttering his quarters aboard the lead ship, and sends out the signal to Freekish forces as he watched the destroyers file off on radar, heading back to 300 km off Kahanistan's shore.

"This is the Czardaian transport fleet requesting entrance into Kahanistani waters. We come in peace."

It is extremely difficult for me to disband the irregulars. OCC: My supply airships are 1500 meters long and 300 meters tall with the capacity to carry about 2000 souls each. The Hospital Ships can hold 1000 patients at a time. If it would work better, we can shuttle people to the various ships.

For you to realize this and cede, at least in part to some of our concerns, is commendable in the extreme. Regarding your request that we escort your civilians from Najaster to Al-Bahr, I feel that would not be appropriate, nor neccessary. Surely not even Automagfreek would blatantly break a promise to allow peaceful civilians to leave Kahanistan unmolested. Furthermore, the zones you refer to are the rear areas of the Automagfreek military and therefore it is the military police of the Excessively Armed Empire which, regrettably, has ultimate jurisdiction over them. We can of course ask that we be allowed to send observers there, if you like.

In any case, you should begin to immediately send the civilian refugees to Al-Bahr, so that we can extract them with the minimum of delay.

The only way that Kahanistan can avoid the slaughter of thousands of its people and its soldiers is to offer at most unconditional surrender. Green Sun sees this not as a war now but as a route. The only hope for Kahanistan is to give in and fight no longer.

We are now entering the waters of Kahanistan. We are unarmed and flying a white flag as per AMF instructions. We have beds on board for 2800 wounded and additional room for another 1500 refugees. As soon as dock space is available we will begin taking on wounded.

Within a few hours the 24 massive supply ships had docked in the last stronghold still standing.

As the large supplyship landed, doors on all four sides opened up. Guardsmen, uncharacterisicly unarmed, tried despertly to maintain order as the influx of refugees poured into the vessels. Many of the wounded were loaded onto the two medical airships for treatment. An hour and a half passed before the ships had the full load of 10 million people onboard the White Dove Task Force. Each evacuee was given one MRE and a bottle of water, which would have to do until they reached the other international ships that awaited in the Ocean.

Prince Drake watched the boarding with a large degree of saddness. This would all end if a peace deal was met.

Once everyone was on board, Drake picked up his mike.

"ALLSHIPS! ALLSHIPS! This is Sky 6: Prepare for immediate departure!"

Drake set down the mike and called his XO over, "If you get the chance, see if you can interview some of the evacuees. Maybe we'll get a better idea of what happened here."

The task force left, and soon airships filled the air over the black smoke.

Drake then issued an order to the commo cheif, "Commo: Get in touch with some of the naval vessels, see if we can transfer our evacuees to thier vessels so we can make another run."

Kahanistan has four official languages, so we can virtually guarantee that most or all of the refugees speak your language. We simply hope cultural or ideological barriers do not get in the way of their survival as refugees.

As for our defense, some are already advocating atrocities. I myself hope to prevent the worst of them, but there is little I can do without compromising my defenses. Somehow I feel that the Sentinels would not react to seeing a comrade crushed under a tank the way one of us would.

We ourselves have seen many conflicts and know for a fact what war does to ones economy even if they don't think it will do anything bad. We urge that Kahanistan lay down their arms and accept the terms that Lord Damien the Destroyer had laid out before them before this incident happened. Aboard the flagship, Drake was reading various calls for peace. Drake hoped that they would listen.

Drake asked his Feet XO Admiral Peg, "How is the rest of the task force?"

The Hospital Ship Comfort

Captain Redhawk was walking through the medical deck. He stopped into one of the many rooms at random. Nurse Jewel was checking the stats on one of the injured evacuees.

"How's he doing?"

Nurse Jewel turned, a bit startled to see the Captain. "He's stable now sir. He was standing in the wrong place when some artillary went off. We've been able to take out a lot of the shards, but there's still work to do. He came in here severly dehydrated. It's a miricle he made it to the checkpoint in time."

Redhawk nodded, "I see."

"Sir?", Nurse Jewel paused, "The boy was talking earlier before he went to sleep. He says he saw some things."

OOC: I can sum it up.

Austo Hungary made several boneheaded moves in various threads that angered Dreadfire to the point of declaring Blood Feud on them. After a short initial assault the Sentinels were unleashed on the mainland, and everything in sight was destroyed. All men were either shot on sight or butchered in the streets, while the women and children were captured.

Austo Hungary's cities were first pillaged, then shelled, bombed, even MOAB'd into dust, and after little to no resistance the country fell. The women and children that were captured were taken to the beaches, where the Sentinels slaughtered them with their combat swords. The bodies that remained intact were placed on 50 foot pikes and left to rot in the sun, while a warning to other nations was left at the scene.

One of my more colorful and brutal wars, which took place at the mid to end of May '04. It's amazing how people still remember and openly talk about that war.....

As you are no doubt aware, I have returned to Kahanistan to discuss peace talks with the Freekish Government personally.

General al-Ghazi, the commander of the defending forces, believes that to surrender is a show of weakness. He and most of the military leadership will likely be agreeable to a negotiated settlement as long as it does not include the term, "surrender."

The rationale behind the military's reasoning is that if we surrender, especially unconditionally, we are just another nation that opposed Automagfreek and lost. If we agree to a negotiated settlement, the militaristic logic dictates, however, we can stand in front of the international community as a powerful and respected military power.

The General sincerely believes that he can win here. His forces are provisioned for months and vastly outnumber yours, even without the armed civilians and reserve troops. If forced to fight, one of two things can happen.

1. He can defeat Azrael's Sentinels and simply not be able to stand up to the next contingent of Sentinels to come. Even if he wins here, he does not seem to realize that the Freekish forces will likely send even more.

2. He and his forces can lose and be slaughtered en masse. Then there would be nothing left of Kahanistan except a large number of expatriate communities all over the world.

Let us end this senseless posturing and discuss terms that will end this senseless bloodshed.

I don't care what the good General feels, he does not run Kahanistan, you do. It's time to face facts and realize that you have been beaten, and I'm afraid your choices in the matter are quite few. Kahanistan can either join the list of nations that has surrendered to Automagfreek, or it can join the much longer list of nations that have been wiped from existance by Automagfreek. I don't understand why the General is worried about the term 'surrender', as his display of total stupidity in commanding your defensive forces is more of a show of weakness then any term.

If the government of Kahanistan does not surrender by the time the last civilians pull out, I will utterly destroy every last trace of resistance inside Najaster. If your refugees want to return to their homeland to rebuild instead of returning to scorched earth, then I urge you to act quickly. We believe that you are letting the feelings of one General jeopardize the existance of your entire nation.

Actually, the Supreme Soviet runs Kahanistan, not me.

Perhaps it is time that I took the General's advice and, as he put it, 'grow some balls.' But I will not use these newfound balls to fight, but to make peace.

As I said before, state your terms for peace. As President, I can sign peace treaties and the Supreme Soviet will almost certainly accept whatever terms I agree to. They are more secular minded than the good General, who is still unwavering in his belief that Allah will crush his enemies.

The peace we, meaning myself and most of the Supreme Soviet, want is for you and your terrorists to leave Kahanistan and help us rebuild our nation. I personally could care less whether or not the word 'surrender' appears in the peace treaty, but as you know, the military is quite politically powerful given that we are at war.

I have stated my terms. Now give yours, or perhaps we should arrange a meeting, between myself and either you or Lord Dreadfire himself.

OCC: Although if someone were able to decode that last messege, and release it to AMF, then the peace process would grind to a bloody halt. This seems a rather dumb move by Kahanistan seeing as though all The Kraven Corp has to do is relay the message and it would provide enough of an excuse for AMF to go all out. I think Kraven Corp would do it, though it's just my own humble guess.

OOC: I assume that all nations have a fairly solid grasp ICly of NS history, and that the destruction of FWS is a matter of historical record. And if Kraven even slightly mistrusts AMF... they'll turn on them like the evil scum they are. I merely cited Khodros' comparison of Kraven to FWS so you'd know what I was talking about.

Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan

General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi spoke before his people.

"We gather here today, for the final battle between Kahanistan and Automagfreek. If each one of you kills only one Sentinel, you have done your duty to Kahanistan and we will win here. If any of you fear death or Puritania, I will grant permission to leave, even to military personnel, but they must hand in their weapons, not that they would be allowed to carry them through Freekish lines anyway. We do not need the fearful destroying our morale."

A second wave of refugees poured out of Najaster in a mass exodus. After 24 hours, only 500,000 Imperial Marines, 1 million Republic Guards, and 10 million civilians remained. With the provisions under less strain, the defenders could survive for years. With the exodus, everyone left had a flak jacket, NBC suit, either an OICW, M-16, or AK-74, thousands of rounds of ammunition, a uniform (most of the fleeing soldiers and marines had left their uniforms behind), and enough food to last. Also, the best of all Kahanistan military hardware, 155mm self-propelled guns and Merkava III and IV main battle tanks were brought out, as well as some Patriot SAM launchers from storage, where they had waited for this fateful battle.

General al-Ghazi spoke again the next day.

"Kahanistanians have never been afraid of war, a fact we've proven time and time again over these past two months. Two and a half million of our brave soldiers and three hundred million of our noble citizens have given their lives for this nation, and what have we gotten in return? Nothing. We have gained nothing. In fact, our influence in the international community has diminished. And to make matters worse, we're barely a nation anymore. Travel anywhere in Kahanistan and what do you find? Forests of the impaled, heads on tanks, and murderous, subhuman Sentinel degenerates bound for Hell. Instead of the invaders, we have become the invaded. Our enemies have conquered most of Kahanistan with barely any resistance. Well, no longer. Tomorrow, we fight. This assault marks the first step towards the liberation of our homeland from the true scum of the earth: the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek. I call upon Kahanistanians everywhere: Resist. Resist today. Resist tomorrow. Resist till the last Freekish soldier has been driven from our soil."

Boarding the Xirnium ship HMW Indomitable, among the refugees, was a petite, stocky, mildly attractive woman in her late thirties with short reddish-brown hair and hazel eyes. She bore a distinctive scar across her left cheek, a remnant of a combat wound she had sustained at the hands of those who would now save her. She was dressed in civilian clothes, was unarmed, and had taken advantage of General al-Ghazi's realization that not everyone wanted to die.

General al-Ghazi is insane, thought General Levitt. There was a time when I would have refused to surrender... but even I know when I'm beaten. He's as crazy as that ex-'God' Queerzits the Third or whatever his name... and now al-Ghazi wants to ally with the accursed Kraven, yimach sh'mam v'zichram (Hebrew: may their names and memories be blotted out) to fight against AMF. Getting them fighting each other is one thing, but alliance with the capitalist demons is entirely different.

She saluted Admiral Patritsia and smiled. "Lady Admiral," she said, remembering that full admirals in the Xirnium Navy were addressed as nobles, or at least this one was, "it pleases me to meet you."

She remembered hearing that the admiral had attended a demonstration far away, in St. Fedski. The same one that her friend had mentioned in her last letter? "Brigadier General Rachel Levitt." She extended her hand to the admiral. "I trust you've met my friend, Nadia. About 5'5"," she held her hand about two inches above her own head, "slim blonde girl, gray eyes, really emotional... spent most of the demonstration hanging around with some drug-taking Amestrian woman? Ring a bell?"

Meanwhile, around her, other refugees were clambering aboard the ship and other ships. Many had heard General al-Ghazi's speech on the radio and were absolutely terrified. The man had clearly lost his mind. Luckily, everyone who wanted to leave Najaster had already done so.

At the same time, in Najaster, the fanatical defenders were furiously digging trenches, laying mines, and soaking large parts of the city's slums with napalm. Once a concentration of Freeks appeared, they were to go up in hellish flames by the thousands.

At night, a truck appeared out of a remote southeastern mountainous area near the border, used by the intelligence service. It appeared to be a non-descript civilian truck. Its cargo: two hundred barrels, one hundred kilograms each, of VX nerve agent. Its destination: Kravonika. Its orders: to give the VX to the Kraven Corporation as a sign of goodwill, to show that Kahanistan was serious about the threat al-Ghazi claimed the Freeks posed to Kraven civilians.

If our government becomes answerable to yours, then all that Kahanistan is... is already dead. You have signed away your own sovereignty to the Freeks, the VX we offer will not go off by itself, and if it did it would be your civilians that would suffer, and it is the abominable way you treat your civilians and the even more abominable way AMF may treat them that made us want to protect them so badly, even at the risk of our own nation. The convoy will wait 72 hours ten kilometers from the Kraven border to give you a chance to change your mind.

After Dreadfire's message was transmitted, he received an inbound signal from Azrael. He asked what the meaning was of the Kahanistani transmission, and if his forces were to proceed as planned. Damien paused for a second, still suspicious of his cowardly enemies.

Stay on your guard, I personally do not trust them. Do not let any leave Najaster until negotiations are concluded. Somehow I feel that if I do not destroy them here today, that conflict will emerge once their infrastructure is rebuilt. Thank the Gods you do not have to make such decisions Azrael, decisions that put you in a terrible position no matter what.

I do not fear a second war with Kahanistan, I fear what I may do to them next time....

For now Azrael was ordered to maintain a state of constant readiness in case things turned sour in the next few hours.

The President ordered Kasagawa's troops to remove the booby traps from places they would likely be, such as unlocked vehicles, government buildings, bunkers, and streets. Anti-tank mines were shot from a safe distance with armor-piercing rounds from M-16's to set them off, as they were too heavy to move.

Old buildings were bulldozed into the vast trenches that had surrounded important areas of the city. Fire hoses with soapy water in them cleaned napalm from areas that had been trapped.

Sporadic shootings between government forces and fanatical troops who refused to accept surrender took place. When the government forces requested Sentinel aid, they were denounced as traitors and the fanatics fought more fiercely, but numbering only 10,000 or so, were quickly crushed by the more numerous government forces.

After six hours, just in time, the fighting had been quelled. The soldiers put their arms in government buildings and bunkers and walked about unarmed. Fearing a Freekish deception like what had happened to Fascist White States, many of them covertly carried pistols or other weapons in their boots, but would not draw unless they suspected a threat. Most, however, were completely unarmed, and the civilians had almost all returned to their homes.

President al-Za'if and his security staff went to the Conference Hall of the Presidential Palace. Arms were in a nearby closet, in case of deception, but the President and his staff were unarmed, though they wore NBC and body armor. They awaited Azrael the Advocate. I always wondered what he looked like, thought the President as his security staff made sure nothing could be loaded with ball bearings or other traps.

Aboard the Queen's Cross, the command staff breathed a very heavy sigh of relief. A peace deal meant several things, going home, a successful mission, the evacuees getting to return to their homes and most importantly, no more bloodshed.

Prince Drake called over his ship's XO, "We should have a Gen. Marcellus Quintus Valens onboard somewhere. Now that a peace deal is within reach we need to start talking about where and how to drop these people off, and if anyone is going to want asylum in Fourhearts. Everyone might want to go home, but after all this mess you never know."

Aboard the Swift, two members of the Black Gaurd walked up to General Valens.

"General Valens...The Prince would like a word with you if you don't mind"

The old General nodded grimly and stood to his full seven foot frame.

"General Kasagawa has notified me of the surrender. If you are asking me if I know a diplomatic solution beyond what Kraven and Automagfreek will offer, I do not. The President is handling that end."

"I do not know if the peace will go through or not. I would stay in Fourhearts until I know, but I can not speak for the other refugees. If peace occurs again, I will return to my home and family in Kahanistan. Speaking of whom, I have not seen my wife or son since the fighting broke out. I hope that they are alive."

A convoy of Black Corporate APC's pulled out from their Forward Command base, Reichmarshal Helghan was in the Lead APC, he sat in the coppula looking out across the Hell Blasted Fields of Kahanistan, Pock marked lands, Empty Shell Casings and All over were tall spikes with People impaled upon them, This did not phase the Reichmarshal in the slightest, Hanging from these Poles were the Flag of The Consortium, Automagfreek and The Corporation a Sign of Unity... Inside the Convoy were The Sardaukar, 3 Legions worth, it was a Large Convoy so that if anything did Go wrong, The Reichmarshal had Ample Firepower to deal with what ever went happend...

Only twenty guards from each nation will be allowed in the conference room due to space constraints. This means myself, Helghan, Azrael, 20 Republic Guards, 20 Sardaukar, and 20 Sentinels in the conference. Other troops of all nations will remain outside the room, in the palace. While here, they will be treated well. I will urge the populace not to insult or abuse the troops from the other side.

After the 6 hour timetable passed the massive Sentinel blockade on the city began to shift. Though Najaster was still surrounded, Azrael took a large contingent of Sentinels with him as he made his way into the city limits. With his Sentinels in formation and standing in several groups nearly 50 men wide, Azrael began his march into Najaster.

The banners of green, grey, and gold paraded behind the mighty Warchief, his cape fluttering in the breeze behind him and a look of pure determination upon his face. Azrael dislocated himself from the main block of Sentinels and stood several yards in front of his troops, entering Najaster like a conquering hero of Automagfreek. Though few Kahanistani's had seen Azrael, it would be hard to not notice him at the helm of the Sentinel formation.

As he took the first steps into Najaster, he removed his helmet and handed it off to one of the many Sentinel officers that stood behind him. His shaved head glistened with a gentle helping of sweat, and his jet black eyes scanned his surroundings and the faces of those who had nearly been sentenced to death by his command. Though he did not have the chance to sack Najaster, he would leave a lasting impression nonetheless.

As the parade made their way to the President's chambers, several fists of Sentinels began searching nearby buildings and checkpoints for enemy weapons caches, which were to be promptly siezed. Azrael however demanded to speak to the President himself, as well as his Generals.

I, Warchief Azrael, son of Warlord Damien Dreadfire of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek, herby accept your unconditional surrender. Bring forth the President of Kahanistan and his Generals. My forces will occupy this city and lay claim to it while negotiations are underway.

The marching Sentinel hoard then fanned out and immediately began placing Kahanistani soldiers under armed observation, and sent word to the outer perimeter that they had arrived.

The Convoy had arrived, They slowly edged into the city, Cautious of the Presence of terrorists, A Capitol Police Trooper was sat in the open Coppula, each one Surveyed the destetue people below, dirty blood covered, The Capitol Police didn't care, they veiwed these people with cold indifference, They Didn't hate these people nor did they feel sorrow for them, They were simply following orders...

The Massive Engines of the APC's roared with fury as they powered over the debry and rubble, Corpses, spent Cases...

The Reichmarshal looked down at these thing, what the international Community called "People", He Called them Thought Criminals...

They Quickly moved out, The Remaining Sardaukar Forming a Perimiter Defense Ring outside the Palace, and Starting to Patrol supported by the APC's of the Corporation....

Soon The Talks would begin and some form of Peace that would be beneficial to all would be Accepted....

Two officers in uniform approached Azrael and saluted. One of them introduced them. "Warchief Azrael, I am General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi, the Deputy Defense Minister and supreme commander of the military forces here. This," he gestured to an Oriental woman in her fifties, "is General Nora Kasagawa. Her forces opposed yours at Al-Bahr. The other generals have either fled, gone missing, or been killed. Even Defense Minister Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad, who was commanding the fleet, has gone missing. I have commanded the defenses ever since."

General Kasagawa spoke. "Most of the remaining divisions are being commanded by colonels and brigadier generals, our strength is much lower because we didn't want to be demoralized by defeatist officers. President al-Za'if is in the Conference Hall of the Presidential Palace." She pulled out her cell phone. "Mr. President, Warchief Azrael is here."

Five minutes later, the President and his chief of security exited the palace to meet Azrael.

"Warchief Azrael, I am President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if, and this," he nodded toward his aide, "is Major Mara K. Fulton, Kahanistan Republic Guard, my chief of security." Major Fulton smiled at Azrael. "Come out of the heat and meet us in the conference room," she said.

Azrael glanced with a scowl at the Kraven units that were arriving for the negotiations, wonder what the hell they were doing here. But he shook off his feelings and greeted the President and Generals accordingly, then followed the diplomatic party into the conference room.

He took a seat and watched out of the corner of his eyes as his Sentinels took up position in the room, should anything happen. He raised his left hand horizontally, signaling the Sentinels to stand guard and maintain observance only. He waited for the Kahanistani dignitaries present to take their seats before clearing his throat and speaking first.

I believe you have seen the generous terms offered thus far to the nations of Velkya and Xirnium. While their involvement against the Empire was minimal, we believe as they do that the terms they accepted were more than generous. We are prepared to offer similar terms, but to ensure that a future conflict does not occur once Kahanistan has rebuilt, the terms may be a bit more strict.

However this can be worked out between us. Azrael stressed the final word as he tried not to glare at the Kraven personnal present.

The Sardaukar entered the room, Their large bulky forms making the room look smaller, The Reichmarshal and his Oberstadt leutenats entered, he looked around at azrael and the other officers attending the meeting...

"Azrael... Must I remind you that Automagfreek was Asked to Invade Kahanistan by the Consortium as a whole, so any talks involving you and Automagfreek also involve the Rest of the Consortium, It is natural that We should be present... as the Order did come from Us..." The Reichmarshal noted while sitting down, There was a cautionary glance towards the Kahanistan Generals with a Nod indicating his recognition of their presence...

The Sardaukar flanked the back of him, In parade formation their large Assault cannons slung across their chests, Their Lazer Target Designators were offline, and to all intents and purposes these Killing Machines were Offline....

Out of the corner of his eye Azrael caught the Reichmarshal shaking his head. He slowly turned back towards his and cocked his head to the left ever so slightly.

You think that Automagfreek will ever become some...slave to The Consortium, that we will just jump whenever you snap your fingers? After I conclude these discussions here today, AMF isn't going to take part in invading any other AKA nation. The way I see it, it's the 'Anti-Kraven Alliance', not the 'Anti-Automagfreek Alliance'. You can handle your affairs on your own.

I don't see why my father ever agreed to help you. All you are...is a bunch of opportunistic leeches. Nothing more.

The Reichmarshal simply sat motionless, Azraels Theaterics were doing nothing to intimidate the Reichmarshal....

Little did the Reichmarshal know that Azreal had been wearing a wire, and the extent of the conversation had been secretly transmitted to Dreadfire's personal quarters. The Warlord had originally intended to passively listen to the peace discussions to make sure Azrael was doing his job, but things were turning bad quickly.

With a snap of his fingers Azrael motioned a Sentinel to step forward and place what looked like a speaker on the table. After a satellite connection was established the voice of Lord Dreadfire himself soon filled the room.

Azrael however whispered to the Kahanistani delegates that they would continue these discussion on a later date, possibly through international communications. A waiting chopper soon whisked the fuming Azrael back to his forward command post, where he awaited orders from Damien.

I suggest you and your Sardaukar lay down their arms and exit the city peacefully. I highly doubt the Kahanistanis will take well to your forces being shelled and bombed into submission inside their city, and as a show of good will I authorize any Kahanistani soldier to forcibly eject you from the city. I believe that it is you they share a deeper hatred for, for we have fought with honor and I'm sure they have come to respect such awesome force.

Your treachery will be dealt with in due time, but for now you will not deny me my prize in this war. Immediately the 50,000 Sentinels inside Najaster turned their weapons towards the Sardaukar that stood near the site of the faltering negotiations. They were ordered to immediately lay down their arms and exit Najaster, and the country respectively.

OOC: A small Skirmish... A prelude?

The Reichmarshal just nodded...

"I Expected as Much... In Due Time Lord Dreadfire.... In Due Time"

The Reichmarshal waited, The Sardaukar Although Dormant had been monitoring the Situation, their Optical Mags and Internal Command Relay had been passing information back to The Forward Command...

Each Sardaukar Activated in unision, Thier Lazer Target Designators Activated, Picking out Multiple Targets from the Array of Sentinals before them, The Capitol Police Gunners of the APC's Gunned their Engines as they awaited the order from the Command Relay..

Each of these inhuman killing machines, watched the Sentinals from enhanced Vision sensors, Optical Mags, designed to improve and enhance their combat capabilities, Various Cybernetic organs kicked into High gear releaseing various Stimulants, increasing their stamina and their ability to take damage..

Their Synthetic Implants began pumping more and more Platlets around increase their ability to regenerate, as the Primary Organ, the Organ the produces the Necrovirus began to reproduce at an alarming rate...

The Sardaukar Were ready for combat, with a click and a whirr their Servo's activated, and following that a second click signaled the first round being loaded from their back pack into the immense Assault Cannon,

This weapon fired 12.5x77mm Rounds at a velocitiy of 1500mps it was a DE round with a tungsten penetrator tip, and was easily capable of tearing apart a lighlty armoured target,

A unit of Sardaukar stepped forward, taking their targets, Their Smart linked guns produced a cross hair within their Optical mags, guiding their Assault Cannons to their respective targets... Instantly the Air Was alive with the Thunderous Roar of Assault cannons, Left and right squads began to advance towards the waiting sentinals, without care for their own life, these immense Machines of War, could not be bargined with, Could not be reasoned with, They showed no pity, mercy, No fear or remorse, They would absolutley not stop until they were either Killed or their Orders complete...

The Squads Continued to Advance, Taking up a standard Firing Pattern, Each trooper would fire its Assault cannon at selected targets, keeping their attack up and not relenting until the first clip barrel had been emptied...

The APC's Opened fire hammering away with their .50 cal Turret mounted machine gun, The Capitol Police Trooper in the Copolua was using his Copula Mounted GPMG to lay down fire, as Multiple APC's joined in the Sudden Cacophony that had Errupted outside the Palace...

It was a sudden and Unrelenting Fire storm....

As the first Sardaukar began to fire at the Sentinels, they immediately sprung into action and took cover. Those that had been cut down by the gunfire were left to bleed as the main contingent of the 50,000 man garrison realized what was happening. Chatter over the radios exploded as the words 'Engage' and 'Open Fire' were repeated over and over again.

Freek MBT's towards the entrance of the city locked in on the enemy armored with their main cannons and fired a salvo of assorted HEAT rounds and standard high explosive. The Sardaukar that had engaged the Sentinels were quickly bombarded with a literal rain of fire as the 50,000 units sprung into action. The sheer volume of lead in the air was nearly beyond comprehension, and the Sardaukar's were also bombarded by assorted M203 and GL-36 rounds, as well as AT4 and other explosive ordinance from the massive infantry hoard inside the city.

Slowly the treads of the heavy tanks began to crack and break the pavement as they made their way down a long street, the fighting clearly visible from those inside. The hatches opened one at a time, revealing an armored gunner who proceeded to take up the .50 cal machine guns on the turret and lay down a heavy stream of fire.

The Sentinels formed a stiff perimeter and maintained a heavy base of fire, soon calling in artillery from outside the city to drop 155mm shells on top of the Sardaukar ranks. Standing orders were to leave not so much as a recognizable trace of their existance behind, and soon GPS guided rounds screamed into the city limits and into the combat zone.

The Death Dealers that were embedded into the Sentinel units stepped forward, unleashing a heavy concentration of .50 cal fire as their glowing red eyes seethed with anger and lush for battle. After the artillery barrage the fire was ordered to cease, as attack helicopters who had engaged the Kahanistani forces claiming to be of Kraven origin soon broke the upper line of the various buildings that towered over the battle below.

30mm anti-tank fire screamed forth from the muliple barreled cannons on board the fist of choppers, who began sweeping the area and blanketing it with a heavy volume of fire. Meanwhile, the Sentinels continued riddling the Sardaukar with an intense hail of bullets, and slowly the 50,000 began to tighten their formation around the flanks, preparing to pinch and finish off the Kraven units in one swift stroke.

By now the tanks that had entered the city had ceased movement, instead taking up a flanking position along the enemy right and continuing to fire at various vehicles that appeared and indeed the Sardaukar themselves. It had been one of the largest Freek displays of firepower since the sacking of Al-Bahr....

Shells and Artillery rained all over, Exploding the Pavements, pot holing the roads, Great plumes of Dirt and thick black smoke rose into the sky...

The Bodies of Sardaukar were tossed around like Ragdolls, their large frames being thrown back several feet, as shell after shell were expertly guided in,

Multiple Units, A unit being a Single Sardaukar were torn to shreads, their Torsos blown apart by the sheer force of the shell, and the shrapnel, Several Sardaukar However sporting wounds of various kinds, Returned to their feet, one stood up, a large smoking peice of Shrapnel sticking out of his chest, it held the Assault cannon limply as it proceeded to continue towards its Target a Sentinal Singled out for destruction...

All across the Kraven Line, the same happend shell after shell kicking up great plumes of dirt and smoke, as not only Artillery joined the fray but also the Shells of Tanks, More explosions tore through the lines, Several Sardaukar being taken off their feet by the blast, two stayed down their upper torso and head completely obliterated, while one was torn apart across the torso, his cyber enhanced legs laying a couple of feet away, The Necrovirus went to work, sealing his torso with a fresh layer of flesh, before it died of the Blood and Vital Lubricant loss, It now continued towards its target using its hands to crawl towards its target.

The APC's were hit hard, they were only designed for light Duties and were not prepared for the Salvos that struck from the precision weapons of AMF, instantly several exploded, A Capitol Police trooper alight crawled out of the Copula, dropping to the floor with a heavy impact, he instantly rose to his feet and began a relentless march towards AMF's lines, while completley ablaze then within a few seconds he succumbed to the flames, Dropping to the floor motionless and still while he burnt to death...

The Sentinals continued to fire at the Sardaukar, their Ammunition ripping into torsos, doing obvious damage but Unphased the Sardaukar Continued their relentless march... their assault cannons continueing to lay down a relentless hail of fire....

AMF's helicopters launched their salvos, again sending ripples across the Kraven Lines, Sardaukar again being tossed around like children, but like before some stayed down while others rose to their feet, Continueing their relentless attack, their Assault Cannons opening fire, using the Smart Links and Optical mags to effectivly target and pinpoint sentinals that were entrenched within buildings...

Other units Advanced to support the already damaged units, Their assault cannons joining the First wave, The Remaining APC's present Continued to lay down fire left and right...

The Armoured brigade that Accompanied the Convoy now Appeared down one of the Side Streets, The Emperor Class leman Russ, a Heavy Battle tank opened fire with its 185mm ETC cannon, their was a loud Roar as the shell was sent flying towards the Enemy Armour...

The Side mounted Assault Cannons Opened fire, laying down fire against troops as it approached, The massive tank rolled along the road mimicking the armour of AMF as its tracks ruined the already damaged pavement...

Smaller Standard Leman Russ battle tanks, 2 in total advanced up to Flank the Emperor, their 170mm Smoothbore shortbarreled Cannons errupting in a ball of fire as their demolishion shells were sent roaring towards the entrenched forces of AMF...



More Sardaukar units Advanced, Taking enemy fire, bullets hammering into their bodies as they relentlessly advanced, One Sardaukar took a round to the face, it wheeled round, stumbled slighlty as its momentum was taking from it, but quickly it regained its footing, correcting its algorythms and continued on its way, although its brain was damaged it fought with 46% effectivness its gun finding it difficult to track its targets is the Assault Cannon fired wildly...

Several rounds striking one of its own, taking it down quite quickly with a hail of bullets...

The Combat was still raging on...

OOC: I'm going to refrain from making my next post, as Kahanistan probably won't appreciate his city getting hammered without him knowing about it.

Major Fulton turned to the President. "Mr. President... permission to join the battle?"

"Granted, Major. Just remember that we are fighting Kraven and not Automagfreek. And get General Kasagawa and al-Ghazi out here, make sure THEY know the drill too, tell them they are NOT to engage Freekish troops unless they fire on us."

The security chief made a few quick calls on her cell, hiding behind a damaged Freekish MBT. Within ten minutes, 30,000 Republic Guards were swarming the streets, having picked up those of their weapons again that had eluded discovery by Azrael's Sentinels. They opened fire on the Sardaukar with armor-piercing rounds from their AK-74 rifles. Major Fulton herself was involved now, pinned behind the tank under heavy fire with only her sidearm.

If this had happened a few days earlier, the war might have turned out entirely differently, thought the President. He retrieved his sidearm from his car and two M-16's from the palace's armory. Like Rambo, he fired both assault rifles directly into the Sardaukar. He had not fired weapons in ten years, since he was an officer in the Republic Guard. But his armor-piercing rounds ripped through the Sardaukar as he ordered his troops to aim for the heads and brains of the demonic warriors. He threw one of the M-16's to his security chief behind the tank. She picked it up and darted into a nearby building as Kahanistan RPG-7 grenade launchers and Merkava IV tanks were brought in against the Sardaukar.

General Kasagawa turned to Azrael. "Never thought we'd be fighting on the same side, huh?" she asked, offering the Warchief an AK-74 while firing on the Sardaukar with her own AK.

Meanwhile, General al-Ghazi was shouting angrily at the Reichsmarshal through a megaphone. "I warned you! Didn't I warn you? Your allies weren't going to hand us over to you!" He fired his rocket launcher onto the Sardaukar from atop the palace.

Aboard the Queen's Cross, a frantic young airsailor stormed into the command deck.

"SIR! SIR! Somethings happening! I can't decpheir their coding yet, but the AMF nets are going nuts! The chatter level is up tremendously! Kahanistan nets arn't going up with the same level of chatter though, but there's a lot of chatter with this third net that I really can't make sense of and-"

Peg cut him off, "So what the 'ell exactly are you trying to tell us laddie!?"

Suddenly the on-deck phone rang. Another airman picked it up.

"SIR! The observation deck report black smoke rising from the capital!"

It felt like a wall of bricks had just hit Drake. So, peace wasn't going to happen anyway. Perhaps the General had a reason he was hesistant about the possibilty of peace.

Drake, with a heavy heart, picked up his mike.

"ALLSHIPS! ALLSHIPS! PREPARE TO RETURN TO BASE!

It appears that hostilites have broken out again. We do not know the whole situation, but I'm not keeping the evacuues cooped up in these ships while we wait it out. All ships are to return to base ASAP!"

And with that, Task Force Dove headed back to the Kingdom.

With their morale at an all time high after seeing the surge of Kahanistani soldiers, the Sentinels were ordered to take the brunt of the damage to spare the remaining soldiers lives, for they would be needed in defending their country in further years. With the flanks tightening, the Sentinels at the head of the fight charged head first into the Sardaukar ranks.

The larger and slower Sardaukar would find themselves with Sentinels on all sides as the flanking force followed suit and began to rush the Kraven units. Sensing the enemy would be running out of ammo at the rate they were expending rounds, the Sentinels blitzed forward under increasing suppresive fire from static positions on all sides.

The Kraven armor in the area had begun to draw fire from artillery outside the city as well as attack choppers that circled overhead. The 30mm anti-tank rounds continued to tear through the air towards armor and Sardaukar alike, as the birds continued their sortie in support of the massive infantry below.

I wonder what all those hoses and shit hanging out of their head do....pull them out.

The Sentinels surged forward with their guns blazing, thousands of AP round casings clanging on the pavement as the fire remained unrelenting. Those that made it in close drew their swords and began hacking at the hoses that hung from the heads of the Sardaukar, as well as anything that looked important of vital.

But the main contingent of Sentinels surged in close with their SBP-90 assault rifles, blasting off thousands of rounds and grenade launcher rounds. More and more AT4 HEAT rounds were spent not on the Kraven armor, but the Sardaukar themselves, the intention being to cook them alive inside their precious suits.

Indeed it is strange that we are now fighting against a common enemy, which leads me to believe that we were fighting the wrong people the whole time.

But let us concentrate on the task at hand. My forces inside the city have a 16 to 1 advantage as well as armor, artillery, and air power. This will be over soon, and I plan on examining these Sardaukar once this is done.

Azrael had been watching the carnage unfold from the forward command center outside the city, and relayed the comabt data to AMF High Command back in Automagfreek proper.

OOC: There's still a small remnant of the original Velkyan battlefleet in the area, a carrier and 3 dreadnoughts, plus a few escorts.

The bridge of the Eagle's Claw was abuzz with activity.

"Sir, incoming reports from our sat net reports fighting has erupted between Kahinistani/AMF troops and Kraven Corparation Saduekers!"

Rear Admiral Erik Heims put a commlink to the AMF forces on the ground.

This is the V.S.S. Eagle's Claw, holding approximently 500 miles from the coast of Kahanistan. We have recieved word of the combat going on in Najastar and are willing to provide both ground troops and air support to eliminate the Kraven betrayers. A MR-3 Trinity fighter sqaudron is on Alert 5 and can be in the air in less than 5 minutes with a CAS loadout. Additionaly, two ISF-2 Valkyrie fighter squadrons and 1 AF-17 Halbered II squadron can be in the air in 10 minutes. Simply tell your troops to designate targets, and our airmen will deliever. In addition, a battalion of Marines is loading into Pelican dropships at this moment and are ready to provide support to you and the Kahanistanis.

With the fighting breaking out in Najaster, Kahanistan Intelligence ordered the truck carrying VX to Kravonika to turn around.

"New plans. The bastards went nuts and are attacking AMF *AND* us."

The truck driver stopped. "So we're going to attack them?"

"What, and poison millions of civilians, probably get us killed in the process? Hell no! We're taking this to Xirnium. It's not like the Freeks will let us keep it after the war anyway."

The truck turned around and made for Xirnium. The Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote to the Xirnium Government.

Kahanistan and Freekish troops are now fighting against the Kraven Sardaukar, despite the fact that we warned Kraven that should the political climate continue this way the Freeks would likely turn on the Corporation.

Believing that we will likely be forced to relinquish any and all WMD's, we offer you twenty tons of VX nerve agent, all that remains of our weapons of mass destruction program. We had originally intended to contribute it to protect Kraven civilians from Freekish forces in the event of an attack on the Corporation by AMF, but the Corporation declined our peace offering and attacked us, and further gestures of peace toward the Kraven Corporation would likely be politically risky.

If they are slaughtering the remaining people in Najaster I want..." He was once again interrupted. "No sir, that they would never, I can contact Najaster for you if so wish?" Vaan nodded and took the mick from the panel himself.

"This is captain Vaan of the Royal Dumpsterdanian Navy calling any Kahanistani units in Najester, I repeat, captain Vaan of the Dumpsterdanian Royal Navy calling any Kahanistani units in Najester...."

If he recieved no reply, then it ment the Freeks broke their agreement and he would need to blaze a speedy retreat back to safe port, if they did reply, something strange was going on indeed in Najaster.

Prince Drake watched as the rest of his task force headed home. Because the Queen's Cross had been armed, it had stayed in international waters and it had no refugees except for the General and his family, which had been aboard the Supply Ship Honor. Once the task force was safely out of reach, he ordered the Queen's Cross to halt so he could moniter the situation.

Drake thought for a moment, "Hey XO, do you think the General might be able to help us read the Kahanistan nets?"

Peg raised an eyebrow, "It's possible, I suppose we can give it a try"

The Czardaian ships are still docking and taking on refugees when an aide draws the Captain aside in the quarters of the command ship.

"What's going on?" asks the Captain, anxiously.

"We have reports of heavy fighting resuming in Najaster...the cease-fire appears to have been broken."

The Captain sighs. "What's the situation?"

"Well, we don't really know... I'd recommend sending out a scouting operation to find out what's happening."

"Good idea, I'll give the order."

The Captain uplinks to one of the carriers and gives a few swift orders. Immediately several flights of Daggers and Peregrines lift into the air, more than twenty planes of the notorious Czardaian Air Force, and accelerate from zero to Mach 2 in forty seconds flat, a bang resounding in the air as they hit supersonic. The fighters reach 18,000 feet within moments, flying towards Najaster in order to report on the situation there.

Meanwhile, the Captain turns back to his aide. "Keep loading the refugees and we'll see what's going to come next. We don't know yet what's sparked this, remember. The city could even be clear by now."

OOC: quite simple to find that out, simply get a satalite image and when you see AMF and Kahaistanian forces fighting against Kraven forces it should become quite obvious, provided of course you don't have overstuffed and overpayed penguins for generals and admirals :P

General Valens nodded. "The codes are mostly Imperial Marine codes, I have no access to them. They employ 315-bit encryption and recursive algorithms, there is no way in Hades I would be able to decode them. But some blips on the intelligence network are Republic Guard units." Have the master of arms break open the arms locker and arm as many of the crew and orderlies as can be speared. set up a perimeter around the M.A.S.H. unit and keep the loading of refugees as orderly as possible. I want air search radar running and put one of the choppers in the air to give us some type of warning against any incoming troops. Inform Fleet of whats going on and tell them we will not cut and run on these people and see if we can get some help and I do not care from whom.

General Valens nodded. "The codes are mostly Imperial Marine codes, I have no access to them. They employ 315-bit encryption and recursive algorithms, there is no way in Hades I would be able to decode them. But some blips on the intelligence network are Republic Guard units." The message reaches the Captain moments after the air squadrons have taken off. He reads through the printout, confused.

"Automagfreek fighting Kraven? Weren't they on the same side?"

He broadcasts the message to the planes, which are by now approaching Najaster, and advises them to find out what caused AMF to turn against Kraven and evaluate the situation. Meanwhile, the refugees are herded into transports, many of them fearfully looking back at their native land, ruined and destroyed by war...

Secret IC:
Galen walks into the situation room in the Imperial Palace and looks at the latest intel from the Kahanistani - Consortium war. SpySat 15 has been positioned over Kahanistan for the last few days and were relaying information back to the Pure Socialist Holy Empire's military and the Palace. Galen paced back and forth while reading the data and looking at the satelite imagry of the region in and around the capital city of Kahanistan. With a sigh, he walked back toward the communications consol in the room and spoke to the person sitting there.

Galen: "I want a message typed up to be sent to Kahanistan, Kraven, and Automagfreek informing them of our intentions for this situation. Make up something that sounds good and present it to me before you send it. Understood?"

Aide: "Yes, Sir. I'll get on it."

Onboard the bridge of the Marauder captain Vaan and his staff listened to Azrael's broadcast, there was a stunned silence before the captain himself raised the communicator to his lips again. "Captain Vaan of the Marauder here , message recieved and confirmed. Take note that we are dispatching our evacuation fleet back to safe ports in the Empire, we'll do our best against any Kraven units. Vaan out.

He lowered the device from his lips and clapped his hands. "Chop chop lads we have work to do, tell our transports to make for safe port, attach two frigates and a cruiser as escort to the formation. And make sure the new picket line spreads out to guard the evacuation port."
One of his officers jumped up and shouted over the sound of the hustle and bustle of the bridge. "Captain, you are working together with the Freekians, this is treason!" Vaan turned around and smiled. "Aye lad, I know, treason and all that, but are we not fighting a bigger menace here? Kraven? And are we not helping Kahanistan in the process?" "Aye, sir..."

Vaan waved away his protests. "None of this here sirring that you learnt at the naval academy, get to work."

The Halberdgardian Central Intelligence Agency Compound, Somewhere in Halberdgardia, 1000 Local Time

The HCIA had had its eye on the AKA-Consortium conflict for some time now, particularly as it directly involved Velkya, a Halberdgardian ally, as well as the Kraven Corporation, an enemy Halberdgardia secretly despised. But what kept MILCOM from taking action was the might of Automagfreek, who had declared their support of the Kraven Corporation. Above all, MILCOM was comprised of realists. Halberdgardia had also secretly opposed AMF since the OMP/Gholgoth conflict, and had openly declared its support of the OMP, but this fact had probably not registered with AMF Intelligence, simply due to the fact that its attention would have been focused more on the combined Hogsweatian-Praetonian offensive threatening them at the time. But the sheer size, ferocity, and immense power of the AMF armed forces ruled out any possibility of war, unless the tides were heavily in Halberdgardia's favor in terms of allied strength. Thus, though the HCIA had advised President Kenix Kil not to declare support for one side or another, it wasn't exactly difficult to tell that Halberdgardian sympathies laid with the AKA.

But now that Kraven had finally revealed its inevitable double-cross of AMF, the AMF forces were siding with their one-time enemies and had now proceeded to crush the Kraven presence, and one man was looking ahead, plotting for the ultimate downfall of the Kraven Corporation.

Director of Central Intelligence Donovan Whitling, undoubtedly one of the most powerful men in Halberdgardia, brooded in his dimly-lit office. Somehow, despite the fact that it was still morning, his office was still darkened by long shadows and odd lighting that gave the entire room an eerie atmosphere. It was enough to unnerve every visitor except Dominic Hatcher.

Hatcher was the Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, and he'd been serving under Whitling since the earliest days of the Kanos Administration. After more than twelve years on the job, he was used to dealing with Whitling.

Now, Hatcher stood before the massive mahogany wooden doors that led into Whitling's office. He breathed out a sigh, then entered.

As usual, Whitling had his larger-than-life chair, with its high back and deep recesses to hide its occupant, turned towards the small fireplace behind his desk. And as usual, before Hatcher could say a word, Whitling was already on to business.

"You're aware of the latest developments in Kahanistan." It was a statement, not a question, and there was only one possible answer.

"Yes, Director Whitling."

"Then you know why you're here."

"I assume you're going to advise MILCOM to prepare a force to deploy against Kraven in the inevitable AMF-Kraven conflict."

"Naturally. With the threat of AMF opposition gone, we can earn points with those Southeastasians who've been pestering us to take action against Kraven, even if we have to side with AMF to do so. It'll also fit in nicely with the rhetoric of the President's inaugural speech. It's a perfect opportunity to ensure that Kraven is wiped out for good."

"And the rest of the Consortium?"

Hatcher could almost see Whitling's wave of dismissal through the chair back. "They will pose no threat. The strength of the AMF armed forces, coupled with the combined strength of the AKA, as well as any other nations that might join in, the Consortium will be crushed along with Kraven. That assumes that any of the other Consortium members will have the balls to stand up to AMF and defend Kraven, of which I suspect there will be few.

"So, Dominic, I want you to keep me briefed on the developing AMF-Kraven conflict, and let our military counterparts to remain on the alert to deploy forces against Kraven, if the fight progresses beyond Kahanistan."

"Yes, Director."

With that, Donovan Whitling had exerted his vast influence once again, and had put Halberdgardia on the war path. It would take time for his machinations to manifest themselves in a visible form, but they would do so soon enough.

OOC: Diplomatic fallout from this will be posted in another thread, as this one only pertains to Kahanistan and myself.Hotep was poring over the Tahar Joblissan edition of the aforementioned satellite intel at the moment that Azrael's communique was relayed to his flagroom.

Satellite photos are - by the very physical limits of optical systems' resolution - unable to discern details such as uniform badges without truly excessively large apartures. And that's when the atmosphere is clear.

Resolution for a fairly large aparture is, from orbital range, limited to a meter or so from in a nice stable orbit under ideal conditions, making troops blurry dots at best.

The satellite photos could very well be showing what Azrael claimed they were - Kahanistani and Freek forces in cooperation - or they could mean ... something else.

One thing was absolutely clear from satellite intel: There were forces attacking the capital city, presumably Consortium. True, they appeared to be sparse, but it was known that AMF troops were substantially outnumbered by Kahanistani on the ground. True, the positions AMF troops had been holding seemed to be in the hands of defending forces, and reinforcements had been moving into them from the city, but that could result from Azrael and his forces being driven out of the area.

The rude response from Azrael was clearly meant to allay suspicion. Admiral Pioscor wasn't born yesterday. He picked up a plan, signaling his approval.

"I want the pilots briefed and on standby to attack these presumed AMF/Consortium positions if necessary." He waved at the disintegrating Kraven deployments. "Until then, we'll be moving inward to provide immediate support for the evac fleet and to - if necessary - secure the coastline from hostiles attempting to massacre refugees. Azrael claims to have betrayed Kraven Corporation rather than the cease fire, but I'm not finding it convincing. After all, were they truly working together, we would certainly be hearing the Kahanistani commanders on the horn with us. Issue any necessary clearing hails. And radio this to Azrael."

We repeat, stand down forces attacking Najaster. Satellite intelligence shows that your attacking forces are taking a hammering and no longer occupy their previous seige positions; if you stand down immediately, we are willing to provide your troops safe transit home in return for your cooperation in bringing all alleged war criminals to trial for the egregious events of this conflict.

She then turned to an aide. "Captain, get me an uplink to the Ministry of Defense. I want to make a statement to the international community."

Azrael once more screamed in anger as he heard the transmission from the Tahar Joblis fleets in the area. God damn stupid assholes.... Azrael's attention then was immediately taken back to the action, as a Sardaukar came dangerously close to his position. He rolled out slightly to the right of his firing position and let loose a volley towards the face of the advancing Kraven soldier, then returned to his comlink. He reestablished connection on open channels once more, this time providing a visual link with his audio transmission.

Admiral, now is NOT the time for this shit.... The sounds of thousands of automatic weapons nearly drowned out his voice, as well as the sounds of bullets smashing against bricks and concrete. This is none of your goddamn business and I would appreciate it if you stopped distracting me from keeping myself alive.

Several grenade explosions caused static to drown out the next portion of his message, but the link promptly recovered. You don't believe me, shit for brains? Try this... Azrael lifted a small fiber optic device above his firing position and began scanning the area. The images showed large armored Sardaukar directly engaging Sentinel and Kahanistani positions. They're big fucking cyborgs, how can you miss these things? Tracer rounds then clouded the image before the camera was destroyed by debris, severing the optical link.

AMF High Command had also been receiving these transmissions, and were annoyed and worried about the approaching Joblisan fleets. With the situation in Najaster at its most volitile, outside interference was the last thing that was needed.

Attention all ships of the Tahar Joblis navy,

You are not cleared to enter or anchor in Kahanistani waters. Your interference in this matter is only making things worse, and refusal to cooperate will result in appropriate action.

The Kahanistani government was well as our own officials have stated that The Kraven Corporation has turned against Automagfreek, and with support from Kahanistani soldiers our forces are eliminating the Kraven presence in the city. Wether you choose to acknowledge this or not is not our problem, and by forcibly placing yourself in this situation you are only causing matters to escalate.

Cease and desist any and all operations or movements in or near Kahanistani waters at once. You will not be given further warning or instruction.

Above the city of Najester

Najester was a blood bath. Every one looked, forces of Kahanistani, Freekish and Kraven orgin battled it out. Infantry hide in the rubble firing as tanks plowed through the ruins of the once majestic city. Suddenly, in the skies above the Kahanistani capital, a roar and a thunder that could be heard for many miles came into being. A group of black and white aircraft screamed overhead at low altitude, almost weaving through the tall buildings of Najaster. The four-ship formation made a pass over the allied lines before pushing to 10,000 feet.

"This is Skull sqaudron to all units, we are on station and ready to assist, over. We are currently carrying a CAS loadout and need desgination of enemy positions and vehicles."

Meanwhile, on the deck of the Eagle's Claw

The flight deck was a mess itself. Everywhere one looked, both man and machine readied themselves for battle. Air Crew fixed bombs and missiles to aircraft, as sqauds of Marines and groups of LRVs loaded unto Pelican dropships, ready to be sprinted off into the firefight of Najester. AF-17 Halbered's and ISF-2s screamed off the EMCs, forming into formations, heading for the battle zone. 12 dropships then began their trek towards the coastline, one which would take several hours. The Velkyan Fleet would do battle once again.

OOC: AMF, go on MSN.

General al-Ghazi received the Velkyan message.

"Keep the bombers away from the city proper, target Kraven troops on the outskirts. Our forces alone can deal with the Kraven, but any allied firepower is acceptable. We want to preserve the surviving civilian infrastructure. We are probably pushing our luck, but would you assist us in rebuilding the city of Al-Bahr?"

"Oh, and one more thing. TRY to keep from hitting Freekish targets while you're bombing the Kraven. The President is making me say this."

The admiral responded with this message.

"The MR-3s are carrying precision weapons, but if it is your wish, we shall attempt to eliminate any incoming Kraven forces. Additionally, 2 sqaudrons of ISF-2s are en route to acheive air superiority over the city, and a sqaudron of AF-17s are going to assist the MR-3s in providing CAS. The 3 squadrons are 20 minutes ETA. A battalion of Marines is also en route, with an ETA of 1 hour. Our IFF systems have been updated with AMF signals as well, so no need to worry about friendly fire incidents.

And of course, after this fight is won, we promise to rebuild Kahanistan to it's former glory. You have our word. "

The comm. officer relayed this message to Skull, who promptly began scanning for enemy targets outside of the city. Meanwhile, 36 aircraft skimmed at low altitude across the waves, heading for the Kahanistani coastline. Following them were 12 Pelican dropships and 6 Luna attack
VTOLs, ready to reinforce the allied troops fighting for their lives inside Najester.

But, oblivious to all but the commander of the fleet, a jet black Helios Stealth dropship also cruised towards Kahanistan, carrying a single squad. They all bore the same symbol, an eagle with a red ring around it.

Halo Force.

The Admiral had smiled warmly at Brigadier General Rachel Levitt, somewhat suprised to have a renowned war hero from the Kraven-Xirnium War on her own vessel. ‘Greetings Brigadier General and welcome aboard the HMW Indomitable, flagship of the 4th High Seas Fleet. We are truly blessed to have you in our company,’ she announced.

‘I do remember the good General, Nadia Sklenova, quite vivdly. I trust she is well? I do hope she has managed to escape this inferno unharmed,’ Admiral Patritsia remarked, genuine concern shown on her face.

‘Please come with me, Brigadier General, we would be honoured to have you on the bridge. There are also many important matters to discuss.’

Lady Admiral Elizabeth Patritsia removed her glasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose, her presence dominating the command bridge of the HMW Indomitable, flagship of the 4th Crusader High Seas Fleet. It had been more then thirty-six hours since she had last caught a wink of slept, her responsibilities had demanded that she make the sacrifices required to ensure the safety of her many charges.

So far the transports were only at eighty percent capacity, holding roughly one and a half million Kahanistanian refugees. Much work remained to be completed, work which would now be halted. ‘My Lady,’ announced the Executive Officer of the HMW Indomitable, Comamander Pharsis, a stern faced man in his late forties, ‘we’ve just received reports that renewed fighting has broken out in Najaster,’.

The Flag captain of the HMW Indomitable, Captain Vrasus, was shocked. ‘What the hell is going on, XO, there was supposed to be a truce!’ has asked incredulously.

‘XO, I want you to immediately signal the Kahanistanian High Command and request a briefing on the latest turn of events,’ ordered the Admiral smoothly, now taking charge of the chaotic situation. She instinctively looked over at the Kahanistanian Brigadier General, as if she might have the answers.

‘My Lady, we’ve just received a message from the Fourhearts warship Queen’s Cross. Apparently the Kraven Corporation has turned on their ally, Automagfreek,’ announced a Xirniumite Lieutenant at the communications terminal.

The Kahanistanian Brigadier General, who so far had been observing this strange turn of events in silence, would have noticed an immediate change in the attitude and demeanour of the bridge crew with the sudden mention of Kraven. Suddenly, everyone was deadly serious.

‘Call general quarters immediately, Captain. Call general quarters!’ yelled the Admiral, clearly alarmed. Her eyes burned with hate, with the deepest loathing of the Kraven scum.

‘Yes, my Lady,’ acknowledged the Flag captain, who immediately picked up the microphone for the intercom system.

‘Signal the fleet, all ahead flank, call general quarters, assume full battle formation,’ the Admiral reeled off, supremely cool and composed.

‘My Lady, all warships of the 4th Crusader High Seas fleet are confirming your commands,’ replied the Lieutenant. As one, the various ships of the fleet steamed forward, prows high, flawlessly executing their manoeuvres so as to achieve the correct formation. The breaches of the guns were being loaded with shells, ready to do battle once more.

‘Signal the High Ecclesiarchy and Xirnium High Command and inform them of the situation, assuming of course they aren’t already aware,’ ordered Admiral Patritsia, a grim expression on her face. ‘If any Kraven unit is encountered by the fleet it is to be considered as hostile and engaged accordingly, is that understood? Treaty be damned, I’m not placing the fleet at risk following this treachery. And for the God-Emperor’s sake get those transports out of there immediately! I want all Xirniumite personnel off Kahanistan and on those ships and I want them to withdraw to the High Seas Fleet, and I want it done yesterday.’

'Ah, of course she is, my apologies,' said Admiral Patritsia, removing her officers' cap and running her hand through her dark hair absentmindedly. The evacuation efforts and now this renewed threat from Kraven seemed to be putting her under a fair bit of stress, no doubt she was primarily concerned with the safety of the lumbering transports. It appears that sleep deprivation is making me a little sloppy. I don't have the luxury of being able to make mistakes, I should concentrate more carefully in the future she brooded.

‘Given the catastrophic losses that the Kahanistanian military has suffered, you may well have a huge influx of young officers in the near future,’ the Admiral’s Flag captain, Vrasus, pointed out grimly. ‘Certainly this had been the case with the Xirniumite military, the severe losses during the Kraven-Xirnium War coupled with the massive expansion of the armed forces necessitating the rapid promotion of capable officers,’ he explained.

‘If it’s true that Kraven and Automagfreek are now at war this presents curious opportunities and threats to both our nations,’ said the Admiral thoughtfully. ‘However, the Kraven filth have, so far, not yet violated the nonaggression pact. We therefore cannot legally engage them at this time. If I know the Kraven scourge though, and I like to think I do, it will not be long before they bring the war back to Holy Xirnium as well.’

‘Only time can tell exactly how this will all pan out, but have heart, Brigadier General,’ the Admiral said, smiling comfortingly. The naval commander was quite adept at inspiring her soldiers and raising morale, her grim optimism was quite infectious. ‘I sense a turning-point has been reached, a change that will bring about the salvation of Kahanistan. A Kamikaze if you will. Are you familure with this term?’

Before General Levitt could respond, however, the Xirnium Admiral elaborated. ‘It is the rendering of “divine wind” in Japanese. During the Mongol invasions of the home islands in 1281, a freak typhoon, a "divine wind" according to Japanese legend, wiped out an entire invasion armada, saving Japan. Ironic, isn't it, that an awesome phenomena which is feared because of the damage that it can do to coastal towns proved the saving grace of the nation? Automagfreek may well be this Kamikaze, this malevolent, destructive, terrible, force curiously turned saviour by quirk of chance. Time will tell.’

'But is that truly a Kamikaze for Kahanistan, or for Xirnium?' asked the Flag captain. The Admiral didn't have an answer, certainly it was true that Automagfreek had inflicted far more damage on Kahanistan then the Corporation had, and it was equally true that Kraven, not Automagfreek, was the mortal foe, the "great enemy", of Xirnium.

'Let's just hope then that this "typhoon" itself is exhausted wiping out Kraven,' said the ever-pragmatic XO grimly, 'maybe we'll be rid of two birds with one stone.'

The tall, white haired gentlemen appeared and gave a few acknolwedging head nods as he entered the room and stepped up onto the platform. The reflection of camera lights and bulb flashes could be made out in his blue eyes.

"Good Day, I have an annoucement as Foreign Minister of the Federation on the Kahanistan issue."

First, The Federated Klatchian Coast will be sending eight former cruise ships and fifteen troop transport ships (disarmed) to help in the evacuation of Kahanistan presently. They are expected to arrive shortly and help any evacuation of the nation.

Second, The Federation is opening several settlements for Kahanistan refugees in Shiron. It is hoped that this will allow refugees of this conflict to come back together and reknit family and social ties that have so far been destroyed as their homeland has been ravaged by war.

We should point out that at no time will Kahanistani refugees in the Federation be forced into the service, or slavery of Kraven or its allies.

Further, I wish to re-itterate the offer made by King Vrak, as Federation President to the nation of Kahasistan about joining the Federation.

The small fleet of ships drew closer to Kahanistan but due to the distance, were still a few days (ooc: or should it be more realistically 2-3 weeks) out. But from the lastest news, it appeared that the entire situation was making the Klatchians uneasy. They had no wish to be caught in the crossfire and thus, two Vrakian projection fleets (# 58 & #206) accompanied by a hunter/killer fleet (#51) was mobilized and soon sent steaming to rendevous with the Klatchian ships.

General fleet positional updates were sent to the Kahanistan, Automagfreek, and other nearby nations rendering humanitarian assistance so as to avoid friendly fire. They did not feel that they needed to issue a warning that Doomingsland did, for it was felt that anyone firing upon a Klatchian fleet would understand the severity of the error.

OOC: The cruisers and transport ships are unarmed and much further ahead that the Vrakian ships. My own reference here but also what satellites may pick up if so inclined. Forgive the brief stats:

Several other allied nations have joined the fight against the treachours Kraven Corp.

King: Don't even think about it.

Drake: What?

King: I know you're tempted to join in, but you know we're constitutional bound never to attack another nation without first being attacked. I know this breach of honor turns your stomach. It turns mine too. How are the evacuees?

Drake: On their way, they should reach Juliana within a few hours. I am remaining here to moniter the situation.

King: What do you expect will happen next?

Drake: I think the allies will win here, but I suspect a very large war against the Kraven Corp. It will not be pretty.

King: I want you to return to base. The Dragon's Cross is complete and ready for your command. If we do deploy Task Force White Dove to the next battlefeild to assist in humanitarian efforts, we'll need some protection.

Drake: Understood. I am carrying a high ranking officer from the Kahanistan Army. He's been given asylum already. Any special instructions on that matter?

Drake walked into the quarters of General Valens.

"General Valens, it seems I've been given orders to return to Fourhearts. Quite possibly to prepare to deploy to the next warzone. As I've said before, we can drop you off here or you may stay in Fourhearts, but I want you to think about something real quick.

My nation is setting up a place for the evacuees who choose to stay. It's going to be a brand new town actaully. Now, under normal circumstances all the cites in Fourhearts have Mayors, but with the town just popping up the King gets to appoint one.

I'm offering you a job. Your term as Mayor would only last a year before elections come up. If you decided not to run, I'm offering you an advisory position in Fourheart's Army. You'd keep your same rank and pay, and your housing would be taken care of.

Of course, I'd understand perfectly if you wanted to return home. We wish you and your family the best of luck ethier way."

More explosions rippled through the advancing Kraven Sardaukar, The Panzer Grenadiers were being Hit hard, but still their advanced Cybernetics were holding the majoritory of them up, several advanced wielding their Assault cannons with one hand, the others and lost a leg, crawling slowly towards the Sentinals with inhuman machine like determination.

Sentinals were painted by the LTD's, a TriDot system, putting 3 dots upon the chests or faces of sentinals, followed quickly by a burst of fire,

As Azrael would have expected the Sardaukar were running out of ammunition, Thier First battle clip, each Sardaukar carried a large back pack Containing the ammunition, The First Battleclip was empty, it was quickly ejected by the automated system while the Second battleclip was locked in place, All Across the line this happened with a momentary pause in the gun fire, before almost as suddenly, the fire picked up once more..

Sardaukar Forces began to split their movements, the Bulk of the force advanced head on, while using the Explosions of AMF shells to move around freek forces, attempting to Outflank the Sentinals, They used the rubble and the streets to avoid detection, while their Sonar system allowed them to monitor AMF movements...

Kahanistani Force engaged the Sardaukar now, a fresh wave of troops, their AP weapons hammered into the torso's of Sardaukar, they chose their targets carefully, aiming well against a foe some of them had Encountered before, The Armour of the Corporation Changed their fire to the new apperance of the Kahanistani Troops, The Emperor Class heavy battle tank, with the Massive 185mm ETC cannon roared like thunder as a ball of fire, sent shell screaming towards the units of Kahanistan.

While the Assault Cannons continued to rain fire down upon the Sentinals,

Standard Leman Russ battletanks opened up with their Smoothbore cannons, Sending HE Napalm shells, roaring towards Sentinals, The Corporation Would Burn them out...

All the time More Shells were raining down from AMF artillery, One Leman Russ Exploded in a ball of fire, as a shell struck it directly, its twisted hull bent out of shape, a mear shadow of its former self...

Sardaukar were hit again by Sentinals, Their bullets smashing into the unholy machines of War, these things built soley for this purpose, a machine bred for war, they thrived upon this, as rounds continued to smash, some Systems failed, crippled The Sardaukar Collapsed, its heavy torso dropping into the ground.

Azrael Unleashed a hail of bullets into the face of one, blood and Oil sprayed out as bullets roared through the head, before his very eyes, the Necrovirus reconsructed the hole, covering the holes in a fresh layer of grey palid flesh, the Sardaukar mainly blinded continued the attack, clawing at Azrael with bloodied metal fingers, its outer layer of flesh had been torn away by shell fragments....

The Battle Continued to wage on, with more and more Sardaukar falling to the expert aiming of Kahanistan and AMF... but the Sardaukar Continued to fight...

++ Kraven Controlled Northern Kahanistan ++

This area was where the Kraven Battle Command was stationed, despite AMF orders to pull out, Kraven had already commited a small Garrison to this area, at which a large Network of Trenches and Automated defenses as well as ZSU 633's were stationed, it was a testement to the Speed at which the Corporation could set up its defenses, its how the Corporation worked in an Attacking role, The Blitzkreig would rage ahead while rear units would prepare defenses so that if the Corporation needed to retreat they could find themselves with defenses that would slow the Counter attack, and to which the Corporation could rush up Extra forces and prepare for a Secondary attack.

Here would be the Last Pocket of Kraven resistance within Kahanistan and where the Corporation would make its last stand against those who sought to destroy the Menace that was the Corporation...

Intotal there were 3 Legions of Sardaukar, who were now fighting in kahanistan and Half a Battalion of Capitol Police, who were defending the Forward Command Bunker...

Father had already been informed of the Events and already his immense speed at which he could process ideas and plans was in swing...

War...

As the bloody street battle raged below, dozens of aircraft of the Velkyan Navy and the Automagfreek Air Force circled over the ruined city, ensuring that no enemy planes got even close. As this began, dozens of Pelican dropships reached the city, escorted by AV-13 Lunas from the Eagle's Claw.

Chaingun fire from both the dropships and the Lunas covered the Kraven Sardaukars in 30mm ETC fire, as rockets from the Lunas ripped into their formations. The fleet began to land at strategic points were the AMF lines were thinning, as snipers deposited themselves on the roofs of buildings. Dropping 500 Marines, the Pelicans circled another time, raking the enemy lines with immense fire.

High above this, a AF-17 made it's dive. Twin 30mm ETC guns roared as the jet made a near supersonic dive towards an enemy Leman Russ. Releasing a single ATM-192 Gravedigger KEHEAT missile at the armored vehicle, the pilot jerked his stick up and climbed back into the stratosphere.

All over the city, Halberds began to target enemy tanks and APCs with cannon and AT missile fire as the newly-dropped Marines opened up with their ARC-3 rifles and Javelin II launchers. Power Armor marines began to open up with their
20mm autocannons and 70mm antitank rifles, capable of destorying a tank from a half mile away.

The Helios began to reduce altitude, approaching Azreal's position. The pilot then spotted a lone Sardaukar closing on Azreals position.

"Zekman, take him down!"

The dropship turned, exposing it's open troop bay. A Halo Force sniper appreared on the edge, and took aim with his 20mm rifle. Zoning in on the Sardaukar's weak points, he released the safety and put the 5 pounds of force nessessary to fire the weapon. There was a loud crack, and a bright muzzle flash extended from the tip of the barrel as a 20mm SABOT round flew towards it's target at hypersonic speeds.

Aboard the Fourhearts ship

General Valens sighed. "Politics never interested me. However, I will be happy to help train your forces. My specialty is the Air Force, do you have an air force? I have over fifty years' experience piloting various types of aircraft, mainly MiG's of various sort."

"But I will probably be back home in a month, so be warned. I must know my wife and son are alive and well. I have not seen them since I left, as I said before."

In Kahanistan mainland

General al-Ghazi ordered his troops to attack the Kraven position in northern Kahanistan, and let the Sentinels mop up Najaster. He was determined to defeat the Kraven filth himself, rather than appear to be a Freekish collaborator. Many of the more fanatical among them had been killed in infighting shortly after the surrender, but there were still some who had been brainwashed well enough by the general. 300,000 Imperial Marines and 700,000 Republic Guards moved north to attack the Kraven filth. They were armed with all of the best weapons that were left: Merkava IV tanks, self-propelled 155mm howitzers, the 200 or so MiG-29's that had survived the initial war more or less intact, LOSAT anti-armor cannons with tungsten ammunition (the liberals opposed the use of depleted uranium except as armor for satellites and other space equipment) and infantry armed with OICW's and armor-piercers.

In Najaster, only about 195,000 Imperial Marines and 280,000 Republic Guards remained. They still outnumbered the Sentinels, and therefore were able to swarm the Kraven troops more effectively, wanting to rack up more and more kills. They were filled with hate for the Kraven and many of them still hated the Freeks, and wanted to show that they could still defend themselves without depending on Freekish military strength. They wanted to salvage what they could of their international reputation, soured by the surrender. But the orders were strict: not to engage the Freeks. One soldier who had been obliviously taking bodies from the stakes south of Najaster, where fighting was somewhat sparser, was surprised by Kraven troops and killed. His comrades stuck the corpse of the Sardaukar who killed him onto one of the stakes.

But the troops in Najaster were much more poorly armed than the Freekish troops or the Kahanistan troops making an offensive against Kraven. They were armed with AK-47's, M-16's, and grenade launchers. They used inferior Merkava II and III tanks and T-72's and the heaviest artillery they had was 75mm mortars...

OCC: I had posted earlier that the General's family was on board one of the other airships and that I had him and his family are on board the Queen's Cross together. I probably didn't make it too clear though

Amid the cataclysmic fighting, the Czardaian planes pass over the battle, at about 45,000 feet. The squadrons descend, keeping well out of range of the ongoing battle, and pass low over the battle, sending back reports on the situation.

"Reports incoming... position stated, Freekish and Kahanistani forces engaging Kraven forces throughout Kahanistan... Allied planes, presumably Velkyan, aiding Freekish and Kahanistani forces in wiping out Kraven."

One flight of Daggers returned through the streets of the city, radioing a return message, "Forces spotted leaving Najaster, direction north, potential targets T plus six at all mags, awaiting orders."

"Take off at vertical to all magnitude, report back."

The flight rises swiftly into the air, hitting Mach 2.5, and splitting out—their direction, north. Within minutes a long-range link returns to the commander.

"Reports indicate presence of Kraven encampments in north, awaiting orders."

The Czardaian planes regroup over the city, evaluating the situation.

A patrol of ISF-2s patrolled high above the battle at 90,000 feet (I'm PMT), higher than any enemy or allied aircraft could ever hope to reach. Dasher (Jack Norris's call sign, he's Breaker Leader)'s helmet crackled with a message from SkyEye II, his AWACs controller.

"Dasher, bogies in your sector, passing at angels 45, heading north 110 degrees at 1600 knots."

Dasher sighed to himself.

I thought this was going to be easy...

"Roger that, SkyEye II, Breaker on intercept course, out."

He switched to his sqaudron's channel.

"Alright boys and girls, we got prying eyes in our sector, AWACs is telling us to check it out, over."

The 4 ISF-2s representing Breaker turned and headed for the bogeys, matching their speed and altitude. Soon they were upon the aircraft.

"Hey Frosty, want to take this for me?"

"Sure, but you owe me a beer when we get back to base."

"Whatever."

"Ahem...attention unidentified aircraft, you are tresspassing on allied airspace, please state your country of origin and your purpose in this combat zone or you will be fired upon."

'Frosty' waited for a reply.

The five Daggers, which have ascended to 65,000 feet for the scouting mission, suddenly halt and turn as the message comes in from the Velkyan planes.

The flight leader Blue Robin returns the call, "This is Flight Bravo One, Wing 29, Third Czardaian Airforce. We're neutrals, and we're here to evaluate the situation."

Blue Robin has a sense of humor, like most Czardaians...which is evident. "I don't think you're quite close enough yet to see our white flags, but you could always get binoculars or stronger sat visuals."

"Haha, roger that, Blue Robin, this is Breaker 3, we are disengaging, but you stay alert up there, Kraven and their allies may not be as forgiving as we are. If you need an escort, I'm sure we'd be more than happy to provide one."

"Roger, and thanks... yeah, they don't seem the type to accept neutrality. If we need your help, we'll call you...although we're well prepared to defend ourselves from anyone if fired upon." Blue Robin closes the link, and the flight of Daggers disappears into the sky, RADAR cancellation devices and stealth on to prevent detection. In fact, unless the Velkyan planes have very advanced detection systems, the Czardaian planes will disappear to them as well. The tiny maneuverable planes are by now approaching Kraven's base.

"Roger that, Blue Robin, call our AWACs on 142.9 mhz, he'll vector a flight to assist you if you run into trouble."

With that, the 4 planes broke intercept formation and headed back to their patrol vectors around Najester.

"SkyEye, this is Breaker Flight I, Czardas is launching a neutral recon sortie above the Kraven sector of Kahanistan, advise all fighter sqaudrons."

"Roger that, Breaker 3, advising all allied flight groups in area."

To the International Community,

The President has surrendered to Automagfreek under domestic and international pressure. Shortly thereafter, the Craven Corporation betrayed the Freekish forces and fired on Sentinels and Kahanistan forces in the capital. Both Kahanistan and Freekish troops are fighting with the utmost ferocity, each trying to kill more Sardaukar it seems.

We regret any confusion that may have occurred while our communication systems were damaged.

The Kahanistani government was well as our own officials have stated that The Kraven Corporation has turned against Automagfreek, and with support from Kahanistani soldiers our forces are eliminating the Kraven presence in the city. Wether you choose to acknowledge this or not is not our problem, and by forcibly placing yourself in this situation you are only causing matters to escalate.

Cease and desist any and all operations or movements in or near Kahanistani waters at once. You will not be given further warning or instruction.

Tahar Joblissan military vessels continued eating up their original thousand mile distance from the Kahanistani coast at a firm 35 knot pace. Soon they would set up their fleet group perimeter just outside of Kahanistani waters; already air patrols were in position to maintain constant watch around the fleet.

The Admiral looked over the rolling sea, giving the impression that all the answers to the quickly deteriorating conflict would manifest itself. Perhaps a sea nymph would pop out and deliver a message from the Great Clam itself. Apparently, such an event happened in one of the ancient myths that were now regaining popularity in Vrak.

Hmmmm. Out of all the ‘neutrals’, only Tahar Joblis seem to be the most reasonable. The rest…well, the rest seem to eager for war and too quickly to side with AMF. After all, did not AMF nearly destroy Kahanistan? Do these people suddenly believe that loyalties will switch at the drop of a hat? I wonder why we are even trying to save some Kahanistan refugees. They seem like a stupid race. But, orders are orders.

Dear sir. It has come to our attention that there seems to be an increased level in activity in the Kahanistan area. Our forces are enroute to effect a humanitarian rescue operation of Kahanistan refugees, but our intel is spotty. Although we have not interacted before, we request a update on the situation so as to best effect the operation and to minimize friendly fire.

Tarlag will also be willing to help in the rebuilding of your infrastructure once the fighting has stopped. Our military engineers will help rebuild your water and power systems. All I will ask in return is favorable trade between us and if no treaty with AMF prevents it docking and refueling rights in your ports for the Tarlag Navy.

The Government of Kahanistan had stored large numbers of anti-armor weapons for the final battle, but it turns out we are fighting a different force than we had planned on. The weapons will do well in arming our forces as large numbers of our military personnel return from their flight.

We have no treaty with AMF yet, merely a surrender the terms of which have yet to be worked out. Our lone port is heavily damaged, but should still be able to accept small ships, and large ones within a few days if the repair schedule holds.

Drop the weapons over northern Kahanistan, fifteen kilometers south of the main Kraven encampment.

Meanwhile, in Najaster, in the Presidential Palace, the President and his security had rushed into the Conference Hall. The President picked up the red phone and called the Freekish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Who will represent Freekish interests at this meeting?" he asked, knowing Dreadfire himself would command the invading forces against Kraven, and Azrael was commanding the Freekish troops fighting the Kraven in Kahanistan.

Meanwhile, his secretary had drawn up a proposal for a peace treaty the President thought the Freeks would accept.

Proposed Peace Treaty

The Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek and the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan, desirous of peace between their two nations, endorse and ratify this Treaty of Peace between the nations.

Article 1.

The Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek and the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan pledge not to conduct military or covert operations against one another or their allies.

Article 2.

The Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan and the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek agree to recognize each other's sovereignty and exchange ambassadors.

Article 3.

No Kahanistan or Freekish warship may enter the other nation's waters without prior approval from an authorized fleet commander or government official. Exceptions will be made to allow Freekish operations against military forces in Kahanistan hostile to the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek.

Article 4.

Should disputes about the interpretation of this treaty arise and threaten the state of peace between the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan and the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek, such disputes will be resolved by diplomatic exchanges rather than military force.

Article 5.

This treaty will enter into force upon being signed by the President of Kahanistan and such Freekish official or officials as required by Freekish law. It will hold force until ratified by the Supreme Soviet of the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan and the Freekish legislature, upon which event it shall last for a period of five years, to be renewed or revised at the end of such time period.

OOC: I'm assuming that humanitarian assistance is still confined to this thread while the war with Kraven and AMF is in the other. As well, I also realize that folks are busy, so my Admiral's frustration is just ic stuff. I can also edit if needed.

The Admiral, an average sized Vrakian with a trimmed miltary cut and darker complexion revealing his Inuit heritage frowned. He then ordered preliminary preparation for the air and gun crews. Soon, regular patrols began to effect an air cover umbrella while ASW helicopters began to sweep for any hostiles. They were still a ways out, but considering the situation in Kahanistan, it was decided to error on the side of caution.

Meanwhile, the unarmed transports and cruisers halted about 100 nautical miles off the Kahanistan coast - taking care to steer clear of any military vessels from any other nation. They were waiting for confirmation from the Kahanistan government as to whether their efforts were still needed or if they should turn around and go home.

The Government of Kahanistan is pleased to note that hundreds of millions of refugees are returning to Kahanistan. Primary humanitarian aid should go to supplying food, water, medical supplies, and building materials to rebuild our damaged infrastructure. Secondary assistance should go to removing the distasteful sight of millions of impaled corpses which have rotted in the sun of the arid Middle Eastern climate for weeks.

While we are still engaged in hostilities with Kraven, we are pleased to announce that we have the Kraven forces in Kahanistan by the throat. We have already launched the final offensive in northern Kahanistan.

Our surviving fleet will escort your vessels into Kahanistan. All humanitarian vessels have clearance to enter Kahanistan waters, and armed warships may do so with permission from the Kahanistan Government and an escort of one cruiser or destroyer. (We are very low on ships.)

A Novacom Parridigram Transport would touch down in Najaster, onboard would be Ambassador Jonas Carroluso, surrounding him 4 silver skull Enforcers, "Greetings I am Novacom Ambassadow Jonas Carroluso, I'm here to present the details of the reconstruction package for your nation to the president, we sent a transmission ahead to inform you of the situation," The ambassador finished looking round, the devestation was terrible but it was nothing compared to what he had seen of the rest of the nation, he had been moved, changed by the sight's once thriving cities incinerated, shattered murdered by hateful fire and furious vengance, although like all other Novans an Atheist he had wished there and then that the pitiable souls of the dead would find peace with their god, Allah they called him he beleived.

Jonas would smile, diplomats were supposed to be professional, he may only have been an Ambassador for a year but he was determined to make a good impression, and even more fired with hope to restore to those distraught people their former lives.

(Didn't make it clear enough, but only ~10% of Kahanistanians are Muslim. It's in the NSWiki. And BTW, Arabic is one of the four official languages of Kahanistan, and in Arabic, the Christian God is also called "Allah.")

"This is President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if, the President of Kahanistan." She nodded toward a paunchy Arab man in his 40's.

The President greeted the Ambassador. "Let's discuss this aid package. We estimate 5.6 trillion racist shekels, or $7.15 trillion Universal Standard Dollars in damage and over 270 million dead. Priority for recipients of aid should be: civilian infrastructure, military bases, military hardware, especially warships. We just recruited millions to get our standing army back up to 10 million strong. We reorganized our troops so the Navy gets more personnel than it did in the past, from 5% to 20% of the total military. So we have 6 million Republic Guards, 2 million Imperial Marines, and 2 million sailors. Trouble is, we have hardly any warships, and we can't get Merkava IV tanks, ZSU AA, F-15's, or B-52's from many of the suppliers out there."

OOC: My nation has been Atheist for over 5,500 years before then the most worshipped god was Maljuras guardian of the Gates of Destiny and master of fate. Religon isn't really a factor in Novacom Society people learn about it but it's not really something that sticks not that it terribly matters Novacom society is very tolerant.

The Ambassador would salute and shake hands with the pair before speaking "5 Trillion Novons have been made available which at current rate of exhange ammounts to roughly 7 Trillion Standard Dollars however though i'm sure we can make arrangements for addiotnal funds, as for Military Matters we're willing to supply you with Novan designs for your military and supply you with at first the actual units and at the same time manufacturing capacity and infratsurcture as well as personell to train your military in their use. I can give you a brief rundown of the capabilities if you wish. As for the Civilian side Mechnicians, Medtechs and Engineers as well as support personell will be disembarking from the releif force momentraily, they will meet with your people to get to grips with the situation and commence the reconstruction we are willing to completly finance your reconstruction with no strings attached."

The Klatchian ships rendered what assistance they could, either in bringing refugees back or in transporting current ones in the war-torn country to safer areas. With the operation concluded, the Klatchian ships wheeled about and joined up with the now present Vrakian warships. Together, they began the long journey back to the FKC.

Although the humanitarian assistance that was rendered by the Klatchians was small, they did have to come from a long distance. As well, the Klatchians were astounded how much smaller countries managed to field literally thousands of cruise liners and whatnot to actually move millions of refugees - to say nothing of actually physically docking at, as far as the Klatchians could tell, at one useable port. Quite an impressive logistical feat. The FKC also noted that Kahanistan didn't even bother to say thank you, which would only serve to strengthen the argument back home; it is better to help your friends who are appreciative rather than strangers who don't care.
