It has been some time now, since Professor Geovanni had squrrieled himself away in the old Underground science facility deep in the Northern Glaciers. After he had hired that EHAV Mercenary to clear it out, he himself went there and no one had heard from him since.

Professor Jostlin was his apprentice when they both worked for the Terkomai Arms Corporation. Once Geovanni disappeared, Jostlin took over his area of expertise, making a somewhat adaquate replacement, although he could never quite fill the shoes of the reowned scientist. Still, he did what he was trained to do: Discover, make, and refine all forms of chemicals and bacteria for use in biological weapons.

It has been exactly six years since Geovanni locked himself away. Six long years with no form of contact what so ever. All of Terkomai's inquiries and requests for him to return have gone unanwsered.

So, needless to say, when Kaji Jostlin came to his private office one day to find an unmarked manellia envelope laying on his desk, he was slightly convinced it was from the thus far rogue scientist.

Upon opening the sealed envelope and reading the contents, his suspicions were confirmed as correct. The letter within was indeed from Keel Geovanni. His feline ear twitching, Kaji made a painful face as he finished the one page letter. "He wants me to go to him... This... Can't be good." Besides the letter was an odd two pronged object. Turning the three inch long object over in his hand, his mind kept telling him it was a key of some sort. He pocketed this, and stuffed the letter in his pocket.

He sorted through his usual line of business, checking his schedule against what he HAD to do today and what could be put off until later. Satisfied that nothing of any great importance was lined up for today nor for the rest of the week, he wrote off everything planned and set it for a much later date, giving himself a full week to see exactly what it was Keel wanted with him.

Grabbing himself a cup of coffee as he left the Terkomai Arms Corporation Research Building, he climbed into his car and began driving towards the Terkomai Arms Corporation's Private Airstrip in Alhaelc.

He couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. He kept turning it over and over in his mind. Why now? Why has he summoned me personally? He could find no answer that gave him any comfort. He didn't find it unusual at all that not once did this thought occur: Why am I going to him?

The letter had said to come alone. Well, Kaji didn't know how to pilot a helicopter, so he had one of the Terkomai Corporate Pilots take him. The small helicopter roarded over the ocean, Kaji rubbing his arms as the chill of the cold air bit at him.

Off in the distance, he could see the Northern Glacier, a towering mountain covered in snow and surrounded by frozen tundra. The scars left by the Colony Ship crash could still be seen, although the wreckage of the ship itself had since been removed by its rightful owners years ago.

"Okay, we're nearing the Northern Glacier. Where exactly do you need me to land?" The pilot asked.

Kaji shurgged. "Just set us down on the north-east slope of the mountain. About two hundred klicks from the ocean." He replied.

The pilot gave him an odd look, but did as he was told, manuevering the helicopter to the location.

Pulling tighter his jacket, Kaji double checked his pockets, making sure he still had the two-pronged object. He still had it. He still didn't take it out. The pilot has thus far not seen it, and Kaji intended to keep it that way.

The abandoned research facility was barely visble over the snow, a make-shift helipad was set up. Landing strobes flashed on, illuminating the once dark landing pad. Weird, like he was expecting me to come in a Helicopter...

The helicopter sets down on the pad, yet before the pilot kills the engine, the pad shifts to one side, causing the helicopter to begin to slide in that direction. "Goddess Damnit!" The pilot cursed, bringing the helicopter back up so that it didn't crash. "Damnit, this pad is unstable. I'm going to bring it as low as I can go, and you just hop off. Keep your head low. I'll circle around until I find a safer spot to land, or if I can't, I'll head back to the mainland. If you need me again, just call, okay?"

Kaji shook his head. "To hell with that. Just try landing one more time, okay? Be... Easy about it."

"Tsk." The pilot shook his head. "You're kidding right? If ANYTHING happens to this bird, it's on MY head... I'm not risking it."

"I'm not risking myself..." Kaji suddenly thought of something, and reached into his jacket's inner pocket, pulling out a pocket sized checkbook. He opens it and tears off a check, writing on it. "So then, how many zeros will I need to put down to convince you to land this thing?"

The pilot eyed the check. It was made out to him alright. And the Terkomai high end researchers made more in a week then he did in two years. He worried his lower lip for a moment, then drooped his shoulders. "Two million Tidercs. That should give my family the best life possible. For a while."

Kaji nodded. "Two point five million it is then. A pleasure doing business with you." Kaji finished filling out the check and handed it to the pilot, who promptly pocketed it.

"Hold onto your ass." He said, as he set about landing again. Remembering which way the lean was, the pilot sets the helicopter down slowly, testing the pad's stability before finnally setting down fully and killing the engine. "I'm coming in with you. Too damn cold out here." The pilot said.

Nodding, Kaji swung open the door of the helicopter, and was immediately meet with a face full of snow. The icy cold bit at him like hounds, yet he wrapped his arms around himself, and hopped off, shutting the door behind him.

Ahead of him was the entrance bunker. It had been rennovated recently, outfitted with fresh artic camo, and the blasted bunker was repainted and repaired.

Behind him, the pilot circled around the Helicopter, and the two made way to the entrance. Passing through the outer chambers into the inner chamber, they were halted by a large barren wall, pure white. "A dead end? That sucks." The pilot said.

Kaji didn't give up, pressing both hands against the wall and srcutinzing every inch of it. Running his hands over it, he felt a slight indentation in the wall, and seized both hands on it. Standing on his toes, the pilot tried to watch what Kaji was doing.

Kaji puzzled over the indentation, filling it out with his finger. "It... Doesn't feel right." He spoke to himself, using a fingernail to try and cut the 'wall.' The 'wall' gave way, and Kaji ripped away much of the way, with a little over-the-top bravado. The deception revealed the real inner seal, which would grant them entrance to Keel's sanctuary.

The indentation Kaji had felt was in the shaped of the object Kaji had recieved from Keel. Glad he had the good sense to bring it with him, he fishes it out of his pocket and places it into the indentation.

The seal begins to turn, going through it's unlocking process, and as it slides open, a blindingly bright light engulfs both Kaji and the pilot, stunning both...
