I came up with the idea for a 2010 RP. We would use the current growth rates of each nation and figure out what each nation would end up with at the time for population. I would need a few mods to help me manage this, as it is my first attempt at an earth. The history up until December 31, 2005 is as it is in real life. And seeing as how that is in a month, I doubt that history will change in ways that we will not see coming. Anyways, here is the alternate history as it is right now:

2006: Maaleh Adunim settlement in Israel reaches East Jereselum, effectivly cutting off the city from the rest of the West Bank. Saudi Royals, in conjunction with Jordanian and Syrian special forces, hatch a plot to assasinate Iraeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
2006: A military coup places Giovanni Giolotto in power over Italy
2006: The National Front wins the election in France due to anti-immagrant and anti-muslim feelings thanks to a botched rebellion by young Muslims
2006: Colbalt bomb detonated in Australia by the British scientists
2006: Ariel Sharon escapes the assasination attempt. Riyadh bombed in response. Israeli forces invade Jordan. Fourth Intifada begins centered in the West Bank and East Jeruselum. Two Year War begins, with Israel, the United Kingdom, and Italy against Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iran.
2006: Optimizing on the world's focus on the conflict in the Middle East, India seizes the small country of Bhutan to its north
2007: HAMAS terrorists bomb an English soccer match, killing 127 people. The terrorists claim that they will not stop attacking England until they withdraw from the war in Israel. The SAS begins operations to assasinate the Crown Prince Al-Saud for funding the HAMAS attack.
2007: Serbian war criminal Milosevic escapes and assumes control of Serbian Radical group Serbian Glory
2008: SAS operatives assasinate Crown Prince Al-Saud, and the UK government places a Western-friendly ruler, Muhammed al-Quasi in control of the newly created Republic of Arabia. The first act of the new government is to sign a peace treaty with Israel.
2008: Pakistani-Indian conflict over Kashmir resurfaces when oil is struck there
2008: United States withdraws from Afganistan after a fragile republic is created
2008: Vladimir Putin dies. Mikhial Teltsin is elected president. First act as president is to send ethnic cleansing squads to Chechnya
2008: After a tight race, Republican John McCain wins the Presidency of the United States over Democrat Howard Dean
2008: Israeli soldiers take Amman, and forces Jordan and Syria to sign a peace treaty dismantling their militaries. Two Year War ends.
2009: United States leaves Iraq as a loose federation. 3 moths later Iran invades and annexes Iraq.
2009: United States and the rest of the UN begin santions on Iran.
2009: Cure for HIV found, South Africa begins to move toward becoming a world power
2009: South Africa invades Somalia and begins to establish a secure colonial government
2009: Italy invades Slovenia and takes it within a month.
2009: France goes into isolation, and bans immigration into the country.

Instead of invading that other nation why not me invade Croatia for problems with the Serbs and that causes a democratic break down, and the Italian Renewal Alliance gains Single Party Democratic Possition, and illegalizes other parties.

Croatia is given territorial rights, and not annexed, but is heavily dependant on Italy, and Sicilian politicans, mostly left winged, begin terrorist-like plots in Sicily and are found and caught and begins massive reprocusions in Sicly and Sardina (or is it the other island....).

Other Serb countries (Albania, Serbia, all those goodies) start to send out political threats and Italian Armed Forces pretty much turn Croatia into a playground, like the Nazis with France, as a political coalition is made in most of South Eastern Europe (mostly Serbs, a few Croat minority-held democracies), Italians begin drastic Martial Law in Sicily and begins to blame problems of their troubles, and even the failure of World War II, on the Serbs to the East.

How does that sound? I want to do a neo-Nazi-like Italian state, but a little more realilistic.

Current population: 398,534
Approximate growth rate: 0.42%
398,534 x (0.42% x 398,534 x 5 years) = 406,903 people as of 2010.

So, the formula is:

2010 population=current population + (growth rate x current population x 5 years).

It has the record for being the country invaded by the biggest paratrooper assulat by Nazi Germany around 194(2?).

Another idea is to be Greece and Malta. An convincing arguement was that Great Britain left Malta in the hands of Greece instead of ruling it. You cold incorporate Macedonia to but I would be okay with Greece and Malta.

You cannot just take data though. You must realize it is 2010, and therefore there will be changes. You need to start a 2006-2009 history thread for the Chao Fa, so I can know what happened in the last 4 years.

Well, I take Croatia, and then start a massive chain of political wars against all of former Yugoslavia, mostly Slav countries (Slovania and Serbia are the two countries, if I remember correctly, for being Slav-majoritized).

I say go for it, and Hell, you can be the person I can fight with on the podium. As to my timeline, I will edit it into here once I finish it.


2007 - National Freedom Alliance gains political majority, and becomes first single party to win a massive majority of 31% of Consulate and wins Chancellor's position. Illegalizes all other parties below 10% popularity in the votes of 2006. Bonito Shifflett, a well known buisnessman and sicilian, takes charge of Head of Party and Chancellorship.

2007 - Racist tensions in Tuscany causes Martial Law and Serbs are attacked. All-Serb Croatia responds by embargo and political harassment, and then ends in Italian Covert attacks, and starts a one-month war which the United Nations and NATO ignores due to economical problems that could arrise by defending against Italy.

2008 - As Albania and Serbia begin economic sanctions on Italy, Montegero and Greece begin heavy Croat and Slav refugee centers to take in anyone wanting to leave the newly-founded racist coalitions (Italy and Croatia versus Serbia and Albania).

2008 - Cure for the bird flu in Venice found on accident by an AIDs researcher and the new neoFascist-like Chancellorship begins to monopolize the vaccine and sells for high prices in China, Romania, and Japan. Most nations can only afford enough to cover their beurocracies. Wealthy begin to by dozens and then sell for double, causing international commotion.

2008 - Croatia is given territorial rights, but not annexed, however, is heavily dependant on Italy, and a puppeted government system is implaced with elections of all possitions except a dictative-like possition, simular to that of Italy.

2009 - Albania begins to harass Italian-controlled Croatia with percision air strikes blammed on Arab terrorists and smuggling arms into the country to feed resistance, which is slowly being pulled off to camps into Sicily, with Tuscany clean of all non-Roman desent and Croatia's population has cut in half due to famine and war casualties.

2010 - Chancellor Shifflett of Italy demands international coalition against all Serb, Croat, and Slav majoritized countries, and gets no support, with a European Union warning due to Albania's joining from increased economic power from military demand in the country.

2010 - Chancellor Shifflett orders fleets to blockade every Former Yugoslav country across the Italian penninsula, and begins a showdown with the remaining E3 members (United Kingdom and France) and political backlash causes a ban on exporting the Bird Flu vaccine in the United Kingdom, which starts to have massive problems with almost a hundred being infected. Romania comes into play as pro-Italian only for hopes of getting cheaper trade and the bird flu vaccine at lower price.


How is that? I sort of used Romania, UK, France, Japan, and China without their permission, but I think they'll accept it since it does follow what's going on now, and bound to still be a problem by 2010.

2003- Germany and Austria make defensive packs and multiple economic deals as the WTO loses steam with Asian 3rd World countries.

2010- TETA Members pledge ever increasing arms to the Slavic Balkan nations and promises military aid to any nation threatened by Italy but nothing seems to come out of it.

I was thinking more of a couple paroxy wars in Yugoslavia with the UN asking TETA to step in and Italy&Croatia fund the rebels and may (or not) send some regular Italian troops over there.
