The Imperium of Ankhmet has recently made many enemies by way of a battle between a single Seth class Galaxy-Dreadnought and the combined fleets of several states. Whilst this has gone a long way in justifying the titanic cost of each ship, the stalemate that was the battle between these huge fleets and Seth (the original galaxy-dreadnought prototype) proved that these ships cannot act unsupported. As a result, the High Command has seen fit to commission three more of these ships, with important differences.

Only the Dreadnought will conform to the original Galaxy-Dreadnought design, and will take 20 years to complete if supply lines remain uninterrupted. The other two should take 6 years.

The aging turbolaser designs will be gradually be replaced with antimatter turrets. All ships of the line will have these weapons fitted.
