Arlit, Niger
South of Algeria...

In light of the recent Second Carthaginian Civil War, and that Nation-States territories in North Africa, the Reichskanzler had a plan. As Rome and Carthage dominated most of the Mediterranean, while the Fourth Reich was only ranked third in the control of that body of water, there was a desire to change this.

Carthage had become unstable, and the massive Afrikakorps which contained many sleeper cells, had received direct orders from Reichskanzler Kübler to be activated and moved farther North towards the border with Algeria. Four Army Groups, a total of 98 Divisions and five Panzerkorps, plus over 700 various aircraft had been activated in Arlit.

Carthaginian intelligence would notice soon enough...

OOC: There has been a cease-fire for 4 months, and the war has ended now (as in Carthage has been united again). As of this moment, Carthage is a united nation. All 3 billion people, nuclear arsenal, space weapons, and million-man armies included. If you had posted this BEFORE, then you would be in luck. But I'm afraid this is the biggest case of missing a golden opportunity ever :D

Neo-Carthage, Intelligence Palace

Mahmoud was bored. Really, really bored. Now that the war was over, he had nothing to do. Sure, there was that whole business in Bolivia, but that was the army's area. Right now, he had nothing to do but monitor Algeria. Of course, nothing EVER happened in Algeria anymore, now that it was Carthaginian land, but they still kept an Algeria desk, for the heck of it.

Seeing how Mahmoud was in charge of the Algeria desk, he had all this equipment. It was a bit old, seeing how Algeria had fallen a few years ago, but it did it's job. Of course, Mahmoud didn't look at the equipment. In fact, it was pretty much covered by all his papers and stuff. At the moment, he was playing solitare. He was leaning back in his chair (which everyone has been told not to do when they're in school), when it fell backwards. In the brief second he was falling, he grabed his desk, messing around with the papers up there. After he fell, he lay on the floor for a few seconds, then go up. Shaking his head at the mess he had created, he began to clean up the papers.

That was when he noticed the equipment was acting weird.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw red flashes. When he looked up, he noticed the equipment had been revealed by the fall. Whats more, he noticed that there was a shit-load of unknown (most likely enemy) units heading towards Algeria. "Motherfu--" he began, when one of his friends came in to check what the noise was and said, "What happen?" Mahmoud, turned around and shouted, "SOMEONE SET US UP THE BOMB!" His friend, confused by this statement, turned and looked at the equipment. His fast was aghast with horror, and Mahmoud explained, "We get signal." When his friend (who had more experience with these kind of situations) inspected the equipment closer, he realised those troops had North Germanian tags. "IT'S YOU!" he exclaimed, and he ran towards the Minister of Intelligences office. Mahmoud, naturally, followed him.

OOC: Just out of curiosity won't your population and army be smaller because of war casualties?

OOC: Country; yes. 20 million less.

Army, no. My previous army was a peace-time army, and relatively small. Added to that, my government was a democracy (they usually have smaller armies, due to the fact that voters might get pissed off if it's too big). I now have a war-time army that's governed by a dictatorship. Not to mention, a ton of funds are going into the military. So, it's large and well-trained. If anything, 'tis a bit too brutal...

The four Army Groups had come to a halt 80 kilometers South of the actual physical border with Algeria. The tanks and armored vehicles has been kicking up dust and dirt as they travelled, and now had stopped. The Panzerkorps of the Afrikakorps was unique, because unlike the standard Panzerkorps of Europe, these used primarily heavily modified versions of the M1A2 Abrams, which was better suited for the desert environment.

The purpose of moving the four Army Groups into position was not to launch an invasion... yet. The point was to make the Carthaginians nervous, for now. The Reichskanzler had already closed all communication channels with Carthage, and for the time being, the Armies were just sitting there. A large camp was being set-up, and over three million gallons of Compound-12 Fuel was being transported to the camp via 15-ton armed truck convoys.

Should a country with territories neighboring Niger decide to become hostile, one and a half Army Groups guarded each border. The Afrikakorps had taken years and years to build up to its current strength, many of the soldiers coming from "foreign territories", such as Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Now, with supplies being transported into Niger and South Africa on a regular basis and exports coming out, the Reich had managed to maintain quite a thriving population there.

For the time being, the Reich would sit back and watch...

OOC: Be that as it may, TLS, I'm going to make Poland a vichy state, except for the Danzig District, and the Prussian areas.

Besides, this RP may turn out to be a little better.

OOC: Okay.

I'll get to this later in the day. Busy and tired I be, and I don't want to write a sucky post.

Intelligence Palace

"Mr. Minister! Mr. Minister! We've got some important news!" yelled Mahmoud's friend (whose name, by the way, was Farooq) as he ran past the stuned security guards outside his office. Mahmoud came close behind, briefly stopped to apologize to the guards, and ran after Farooq. The Minister of Intelligence, who wasn't very pleased, demanded to know what was going on. "I demand to know what's going on!" he exclaimed.

"Sir, it's the Germanians (OOC: I don't know if that's how to refer to your people, but it sounds alot better than Fourth Reichans)! They've amassed forces rather close to the Algerian border!"

When the Minister said he didn't believe him, Farooq showed him what the equipment showed. The Miniter decided this warranted asking the Satellites to take pictures of the area where the equipment showed the Germanian forces, and sure enough, a large force was amassed at the border.

"Jesus H. Christ..." muttered the Minister under his breath. "Call the Emperor at once. Inform him that we're in trouble..."
