Morkinburg *Capital of the Kingdom of Hansia*

The King Azaire I was inside his Citadel within the massive metrepolis of Morkinburg. He looked down upon his people from the battlements of his stone fortress. His massive stone city was large and powerful acting as the center of civilization in this Great Protector forsaken Continent. The Mountain Monsters keeped up there assualts from there mountain strongholds and the Royal Hansian Army was forced to battle them for control of the area.

Then out of the blue King Azaire I decided that the time had come to invite other nations into the Kingdom of Hansia. The King gave an order to one of his servants. They ran inside the Citadel and within five minutes. The Royal messengers were once again gathered to there Kings's side.

It was here he gave his orders, "My loyal messengers I need you to journey far and wide across the great ocean and hand an offical message to the leaders of great nations outside of our Kingdom."

The Royal Messengers bowed and headed to prepare for there journey...

The King Azaire I ordered his scribes to write the message to the leaders of the world beyond...

The Royal messengers recieved there letters and they headed towards the city of Jorica (the only port city in the Kingdom.) They each recieved a ship and headed across the ocean to the lands beyond..

The message contained the following:

To: The Leaders of the nations beyond the Kingdom of Hansia
From: King Azaire I ruler of the Kingdom of Hansia

The Kingdom of Hansia has for serveral years been isolated from the rest of the world thanks to the mountains that surround us by land and the vast ocean in our way. The Kingdom of Hansia would like to meet a representive from each of you in regards to embassies trade and so forth.

Signed, King Azaire I

OOC: My nation worships a Gold Dragon Called the Great Protector. It recieved that title after it slew a mighty Red Dragon that threatened to raze the City Morkinburg. The People thougth the Golden Dragon was a god sent to smite the evil Red Dragon. The People of Hansian immediatly started to worship the Dragon untill he finally recieved God hood. The Church of the Great Protector is the primary religion in Hansia. The other gods inside the nation our the Seldraine of the Elves and the Umbrlee the Sea Queen...

I'd say it could work with a joint venture. Our scientific thingymeter picks up weird vibrations, as your mages have strange dreams, and "poof" some big hole in reality lets us cross over into each others lands.

*Wizard's Tower in Morkinburg*

The Wizard Molvo was knocked out after casting a Gate spell. The extermely powerful spell had backfired and sent him flying into the other side of the conjuration room. Instead of opening a Gate to the mulitiple planes of exstenices the spell caused the very fabric of space and time to weaken. Poor Molvo was trying to open a Gate to the plane of fire to gain power spell compontents to sell to his superiors and thus gain prestige and status instead he ended up on the floor with a bump on his head.

OOC: Note Molov is an average wizard meaning casting a spell like this is dangerous but as many an Fantasy book has taught me wizards can alway be extermely ambious when they think the rewards out weight the consequences.

OOC: Hansia primarly has a human population.

Followed by Elves (usually high Elves)
and Half Elves (Cross between human and elves.)

The people mostly speak there own language of Hansian.

"Interesting..." The Prince said, looking at the message before him. He read it again, before looking at the messanger. "Where exactly is this Kingdom my Friend?"

"It is across the sea" The man said with difficulty. The Prince smiled warmly.

"Do not worry, we shall return you. I shall go to this Meeting" He nodded. "The Emperor will be fine. You will show me the way." he looked at the man. "In three Days we will leave."

"Ok" The man said, before bowing and leaving.

+++Few Weeks later later+++

"My Prince" The call came from the front of the Coloum. "The City is on the Horzin!" The call came. Prince Kallar came on deck, looking out to sea. He wore a simple garment of Linen cloth, which he intended to change.

"Raise the banners Captain!" He shouted.

"Aye!" The call came back, as the Banner of the Empire and the Banner of Krendor was raised. One was a Panther wearing the crown, the Flag of the Emperor, which was Black on Silver, and the other was the Flag of Kendor, a black Egale grasping a spear and wearing a crown. The Second flag was dominated by Black and Green, and the Crown Signified a Imperial Elector.

"Inform me when we arrive, I am going to get changed." he said, before smiling.

The Seas around Hansia were dangerous thanks to the fact that pirates and Sahuagin were very common around these waters. The Hansian Royal Navy while a decent force for it's sizes had to patrol the coast to discourage the Sahuagin raiders from attacking the coastal villages. luckly the Pirates were well bribed to avoid attacking Hansian ships and any ship that headed towards Jorica was considered off limits.

The city of Jorica was a very large sea port city. In fact it was the second largest city inside the Kingdom of Hansia. The city had a large Dock district were ships and shady characters would meet and do bussiness. This was considered the central head quarters for the Jorica City Theives Guild. however, The Prince's ship would only see a large city of the distance with a roughly ten docked Warships along with a number of smaller merchant vessels and fishing ships. The city had a large stone wall that stood out from the distance along with a massive stone wizards tower and what looked like a massive Fortress inside the city itself.

OOC Out of Intrest, do you have MSN?

IC The Ship moved swiftly through the waters, the wind behind it allowing it the greatest speed. Prince Kallar watched the city, with the Eye of General looked over it for flaws.

"Not to bad" he muttered to himself, looking over his shoulder to see the Knights Begining to Form up. There where fifty of them, Twenty Five of the Knights Panther and Twenty Five of his own troops.

The Boat entered the Harbour, its long sleek form brillient. Along the side the Cannons where placed, although presently the doors where shut. The Craft guided into the harbour.

And the Knights Awaited their Procession.

OOC: No, I do not.

IC: The person awaiting them was a Magius wearing the traditional Green Robes with Copper trimings on the sleeves and hem of his green cloak. The Magius was surrounded by a Group of Hansian Knights roughly ten of them and three regular wizards.

The Magius and his subordinates wore the Golden Dragon pendant for the eye had a white gem. (This identified them as Mages. Wizards that try to excel at all schools of Magic.) He walks up towards the Foriegn vessel and saids, "Are you the representaives here to see his majesty King Azaire I?"

The Docks were being heavily patroled by Platemail wearing Infantry men Iron spears and large tower shields. They marched in groups of ten looking for theives and other evil doers to arrest and or slay.

The local smugglers and theives avoided these patrols and stayed in the shadows and back streets to avoid the attention of the Royal Hansian Army that was acting as the guard to the city of Jorica. The place seemed full of merchants, traders, Guards, and finally priests of the Great Protector.

OOC: The Hansian Kingdom is at war. Large Cities like Jorica and Morkinburg have powerful Platemail wearing troops that are experienced in battle. The rest of the Kingdom is under constrant threat from the mountain monsters once you leave the city you will see the war torn country side...

Kallar Nodded, looking at the people around. He frowned, the city looked as if they where expecting attack at any time. He shrugged, motioning for his men to move forward. Fifty Knights, wearing Armour of great Quality, moved down the walkway, mounted on Black steeds. The Procession Continued, until all Fifty Knights where off the ship. The Prince then spoke.

"Aye, We are" he said, smiling warmly. "I am Prince Kallar, representaive of the Empire, Elector on the Imperial Council. I have come to meet your ruler, to find what our grand Empire can do to assist you."

The Magius saids, "I have been ordered to escort you to the Kingdom's capital of Morkinburg. I must warn you, It is several days travel unless you wish for you and your party to be teleported directly to the capital." The Magius then adds, "I must agian warn you that doing a mass teleport spell is incredably taxing even for me and if it is done wrong. It could also be very dangerous."

The three regular wizards had Green robes like the Magius but they did not have the Copper trimings on the sleeves or the hem of there cloak identifing there lesser rank. They looked around making sure no foolish pirate or thief tried anything.

The Knights in the Platemail Armor watched the area carefully but were not as jumpy as the wizards they had there swords sheathed and did not feel to threatened.

The City was still going about it's bussiness but the people were talking in there native tongue of Hansian. They mostly did this out of habit. The Duke's Citadel (Fortress inside the City.) stood out most in the city for its large battlements and huge towers and walls made it stand out before the smaller structures in the city execpt for the Wizard's Guild Tower that rivaled the Citadel in height but not width. The other noticable feature was the walls of the city that surrounded Jorica by land making raids there almost impossiable. These areas also had the highest amount of Infantry men around them suggesting the city was baseing for a large section of the Hansian Royal Army.

One of the many temples of the Great Protector could be seen in the Dock district. It stood out thanks to it being made out of Stone (like the Walls, and the Wizard's tower, and Duke's Stronghold) instead of being made out of wood like the majority of the buildings inside this rather large city. The temple had two statues of Golden Dragon's Guarding the entrance and several Protectors (Priest of the Great Protector) as well as two Paladins of the Great Protector. The Symbol of the Great Protector could be seen on top of the temple along with the glass windows which held pictures of a golden Dragon fighting a massive red Dragon...

Two Crossing Rivers, Mahrian Central University

"The unknown is the spur to scientific greatness. Mysteries are our stock and trade," thought Professor Gess Tya. "I'd just like them to be the mysteries we're studying at the time!" The old, old man looked harried, tapping his cane annoyingly as he thought. It was an absent minded habit, ever since his knees had seized up.

Strange events had been occuring in the experimental physics lab at MCU. Flashing lights, smells of smoke, even fires igniting out of nowhere. None of these events had a visible cause. Gas lines had been checked, static electricity wasn't strong enough, the police were coming to investigate possible arson... but that didn't seem likely either.

Wizard's Tower in Morkinburg

Molvo stood, shook his head to clear it and brushed himself off. "Pity, I thought I'd gotten it just right that time. I think I overshot a bit-I've got the feeling I'd almost passed through the plane of fire... sweet Gods! What's that?"

Two Crossing Rivers, Mahrian Central University

A ring of fire appeared on the wall, out of nowhere. Several instruments (incomprehensible even for most of those who worked with them) were ruined. The surviving detection devices were off the charts for radiation, electricity, atomic action...

Professor Tya froze for a moment, then let out a howl, "Fire! Help!" He tried to hurry, shuffling painfully to get out of the room as he kept up his cry.

However, the fires died out as quickly as they had come. He glared at the wall in astonishment, and in an odd kind of rage at the universe that ignored the logic he adored. A burnt-edged circle of the wall fell out, throwing up a puff of cinders.

Staring through was a young man in the strangest clothes...

The Wizard's Tower in Morkinburg

Molvo in his Green Robes and Cloak was surpised at this turn of events. He was seeing the strangest sight in his life. This man infront of him must either be a powerful wizard or some kind of Demon Sorceror. Molvo had heard tells of Demons attacking from human wizard's gate spells and expected this might be some Demon plot to attack the very heart of Hansia's Magic Guild.

Molvo screams in Hansian, "Help!, The Demons have some how distroted my Gate spell and they appear to have taken human form!"

The entire staff inside the Wizard's Tower of Morkinburg could hear Molvo's screams and several apprentices, wizards, and Magius's were heading towards the conjuration room with the thought of having to hold off a Demonic Invasion untill the Arch Magius's arrived to seal the Gate...

Kallar shook his head, smiling to the man before him.

"No my friend, I shall take the overland route. If I am to offer our Empires Help, I must see as much as possible" he nodded, looking. "I would ask if we could get started on our trip, The sooner we leave the sooner I can meet your king." he nodded.

From the ship, men began unloading weapons, there where two hundred in the Reutine all up, most looked like Searvents, but many where trained to use a Sword and rifle. They began walking out, unloading that which seemed nessersary to a Prince.

The Magius smiles and saids, "We can leave right away. My escort party and myself have been here for two weeks awaiting your arrival."

The Knights start to form into a column. They start to march towards there mounts and the Magius adds, "Do you wish for a mount for are trek to the capital?"

The Wizards move closer to the Magius prepareing for there journey. They realize they will need to prepare for some offensive magic since there was a good chance of Goblin raiding parties being out about ever since the infamous Siege at Kashinburg..

-----Aziluth, capital of Soragakure-------
Bowing low, a man and two others exited the council chamber. Council member Hizura watched the retreating backs of the jounin. They had just returned from a rank B mission and delivered their report. Before leaving, they had added that they heard rumors floating around that a nation by the name of Hansia had recently opened their borders. The council was intrigued with the idea of a potential trading partner and/or ally. Normally, they would request that A.N.B.U Corp commander Kimura take over from here, but unfortunately, he and 20 of the best anbu squads had been deployed along with the first anti-demon army to fight against the undead on the plains of Amerath.

There was a soft knock on the door. "Come in," said Hizura. The door opened to reveal current acting commander of Soragakure's shinobi corps, Yuuhi Hitomi. Bowing slightly, she said, "You requested my prensence?" Nodding, Hizura replied, "Yes, indeed we did Hitomi. We wish for you to deploy one of our elite Infiltration and Recon squads to this nation of Hansia. Instruct them to find out whatever they can about the nation and send us a report. If all goes well, we'll deploy a diplomatic team." Nodding, Hitomi turned and exited the room.

Several hours later-----
Three figures dressed in brown traveler's cloaks stood at the southern port city of Filiel. Boarding a merchant vessel, they began their journey to Hansia.

Several weeks later-----
The merchant vessel anchored itself a few miles away from the city of Jorica. Getting into a fishing boat, the three figures formed a seal with their hands and muttered, "Henge." A puff of smoke engulfed them and when it dissapated, it revealed three fisherman. Checking their disguises, they began rowing toward the port. Hopefully everything would turn out well.

Several minutes later-----
The three had managed to get into the city. Slinking off into an alley, they formed the same handseal they had earlier and altered their appearance so they looked like any regular citizen.

IC: The Magius saids, "Very well then, I shall send word to the gates to have them opened so we may exit Jorica."

The Magius starts to utter a few words commanding words in Draconic, His body seems to be dissapearing in as the words are being spoken. He was casting a teleport spell.

The Hansian Knights lead the way with the intent of guarding the Prince that had come to vist the King of Hansia.

The Magius and his wizard comrades rode behind them. The road was clear for the most part.

The King's road was the route the group took, This was the safeties route to the City of Morkinburg.

The threat of Goblins Raiders was moderate at best but the Goblins could easily hide amongst the hills that surrounded the King's road.

The Magius was hopeing to reach the King's forest soon. There a group of Elven rangers guarded this part of the road and thus the goblins would not dare strike there but the trick would be getting there..

The Wizard's Tower in Morkinburg
The entire staff inside the Wizard's Tower of Morkinburg could hear Molvo's screams and several apprentices, wizards, and Magius's were heading towards the conjuration room with the thought of having to hold off a Demonic Invasion untill the Arch Magius's arrived to seal the Gate...

Scared, confused men on both sides of the bizarre gate were yelling. Molvo, terrified, threw a blue bolt of fire at the "Demon" before him.

As near as Tya could tell, this madman in a green dress had secreted a flamethrower in his sleeve! He tried to elude the attack. He would have probably been killed if his slow dodge was all he could rely on...

But the spell never hit.

Just as it passed through the hole in the wall, Molvo's spell faded. Only the merest spark got more than a foot away from the magic-rich Hansian world.

The laws of physics were enforced stringently in Mahria. Beyond the brief link with the Plane of Fire that had started this whole saga, magic died in the "real" world.

Neither side had any idea what was happening, but both were still terrified.

Molov had a look of total fear, that was the first time his Azure fire had failed to burn an enemy.

Molov was starting to wonder if the Demon had cast a Anti-magic field around his person and that was why the spell had failed.

Molov decides to cast another spell, Magic missiles. Three glowing red energy balls came out of Molov's hands heads towards Tya with the intent of killing him upon impact unfornately the missiles had to past through the portal to hit and as before they fizzled out of exsitence..

The First of the wizards manage to get inside the room. They are expecting Molov to be dead and Demons coming through the Gate like a vast army trying to kill all of them with no mercy...

08-12-2005, 00:41
The standoff became a rather embarassing one. The strongest efforts, spells that would kill in a thousand gruesome ways, were utterly useless. Still, the Hansians took it for a victory-the demon in the shape of an old man had hobbled away, squawking in terror and screaming in a strange (but non-magical) language.

Professor Tya fled the room as rapidly as he could. He howled, "Police! Call the police! There's madmen in the labs!" Coming upon a fire alarm trigger, he hauled on it. "Get out of the building! Get help!"

It took under ten minutes for eight police cars to arrive, each disgorging a pair of armed officers. Mahrian police wore identical, bright-red fatigues, but were otherwise about like cops the world over. This division wore bullet-proof vests, having been alerted to "armed unknowns."

Professor Tya refused to acknowledge the bright lights and strange sounds as anything but fireworks or oddly-fueled flamethrowers. He described the magical attacks as such to
the police.

"You're saying they've got flamethrowers? And little damned rockets?" the cynical commander of the group asked. She was a tall, irritable woman. Far from attractive, but with the size to make up for it, she was always taken seriously.

Tya nodded, breathless after his incoherent flood of words.

"So what in hell do you want us to do about it! I'm not running into a damned furnace!" Tya's face fell, "We're not gonna let them run around on campus, teach. We'll cordon off the building, and we'll get someone more heavy in here, all right? No need to worry."

The eight officers spread out, two on the big glass main doors and one each on various fire exits. The firefighters moved the truck a little closer, but didn't act yet. They weren't going near a gunfight until they had to.

Back in the wizard tower, the heads of Hansian thaumaturgy were puzzled. No particular menace seemed to have come. There was no fire, so sulphur, no poison-spitting abominations... why weren't the demons doing anything?

Of course, not all held to the threat of demons. A few of the younger ones had thought it a little odd that a prepared invasion force was a lone demon. Especially one who'd taken the form of a little old man! He'd been leaning heavily on a cane, and had clearly needed it. Despite his obvious terror, his first reaction was to run. (As opposed to ripping your limbs off or filling your veins with acid, more demonic things to do.)
