A loud explosion was heard as a framed charge blew open the window to a skyrise flat in the Old City capital of MelekTaus. Men wearing kevlar body armour, German manufactured assault helmets and other standard assault equipment suddenly zoomed up ropes attached to the top of the building with new devices cliped to the rope and the man himself, getting the four man team up to the window in seconds. Jumping in and detaching themselves from the rope, the MP5 armed men, displaying Military Police uniforms cleared the room, arresting and placing in handcuffs several youths.
Many incidences like these were occuring over MelekTaus in a bid to takle the rising crime, and it payed off. That month's crime figures had dropped sharply after the raids, and the Polcie Force had been given pay rises since Income Tax of a fairly low level were brough back into force.
The law abiding citizens of MelekTaus could breathe a sigh of relief once more..
