The birth of the Kingdom of Hansia (Fantasy Midevil Intro, Open)
The land of Hansia was discovered by The Grand Shadow Empire of Deatharon. The Grand Shadow Empire decided to use this new land as a place to exile political enemies of the Empire. The Imperial Navy had left thousands of humans, and Elves in this land to rot. At first the people were totally defenseless against the Goblins and Orcs that would come down from there mountains and attack the people. The occasional Red Dragon or mountain Giant did not help matters either. The humans and elves decided only by working together could they survive and prosper in this new and dangerous land. The humans started to build villages and fortified towns in order to have places to live and survive.
The Elves formed there own communities in the forests and became Druids and Rangers. In a matter of a few years the Land of Hansia had a stable living area despite the constant raiding and harassment from the mountain monsters.
The humans finally decided to start a unified form of leadership in order to deal with the constant problem of raiding. The nobles of the various regions named Azaire to be King.(Azaire had a lot of political backing and was popular with the common people thanks to his daring raids on the Goblin tribes in the mountains.) The Duke Azaire and his people were the only one to build an effect metropolis in the center of Hansia. That day he was named King of Hansia. The Elves were notified of there new King and agreed to swear allegiance to him. (King Azaire agreed to allow the Elves complete control over the many forests of Hansia in exchange for Elven support.) The Land of Hansia was united and the Kingdom of Hansia was created. The only problem now was the mountains that kept the Kingdom separated from the rest of the continent. The only easy access was the ocean but the Kingdom did not have very many ships thanks to the constant construction of homes and roads.
King Azaire I decided the time to build and effective an unified military was the only answer for the problems of the mountains. The King Azaire I had thus decreed the creation of The Royal Army of Hansia. The news was spread quickly around the Kingdom and within several weeks and months several hundred humans and Elves came to the new capital of Morkinburg. (Azaire's Metropolis) to join Royal Army and defeat the evil monsters that constantly threatened there loved ones. The few Wizards inside the Kingdom agreed to also join the Royal Army in exchange for an Hansian Guild for Wizardry. The King Azaire I allowed this. The new Royal Army of Hansia is currently training to prepare for the inevitable clash against the mountain monsters.
King Azaire I was desperate to find a way to hold off the Goblin and Orc raiders long enough to train the Royal Army of Hansia. The King's advisor and head of the Guild of Wizardry the Arch Mage Koshin suggested hiring mercenaries. The King Azaire retorted that the Kingdom of Hansia did not have enough money to hire the amount of mercenaries needed to protect the Kingdom. The Arch Mage smiled and said, "No, but we have a lot of land to offer and I am sure many mercenaries would love a chance to own there own farm or citadel in our young Kingdom." The King Azaire decided maybe this would be for the best. The King gave a message to several Royal Messengers. Some were to go through the mountains to other nations inside the continent. (A dangerous course thanks to the monsters.) Others were to take a ship to nations in other lands.
The message said:
By Royal Decree, The Kingdom of Hansia needs adventures, Warriors, Wizards and or mercenaries to help defeat the Mountain monsters that constantly have been raiding our villages and towns. In exchange each person who fights for a total of five years will receive land and Hansian citizenship.
Signed, King Azaire I
OOC: Note I have decided to Rp as the Kingdom of Hansia instead of the Grand Shadow Empire of Deatharon due to it being a FT nation and having to keep track of everything.
Out of all the people in Ftang beside the King, Kronok Tianan was the only one who didn't use firearms, and trained to be a swordsman instead.
But he had a secret. He had studied the art of Magic for sometime now, if anyone found out about this he would be executed.
A messenger arrived on the shores of ftang and stuck up telegrams around the port and main areas it read:
By Royal Decree, The Kingdom of Hansia needs adventures, Warriors, Wizards and or mercenaries to help defeat the Mountain monsters that constantly have been raiding our villages in towns. In exchange each person who fights for a total of five years will receive land and Hansian citizenship.
Signed, King Azaire I
This was his chance. He took the closest ship and headed off in the direction of the Kingdom of Hansia.
The Sea's around Hansia were dangerous for an unexperienced crew. The area had plenty of Pirates and Sahuagin.
The Hansian Royal Navy while a powerful force in this area could not protect every foriegn ship in the area. In Short foriegn ships were on there own. The lucky part was the fact that thanks to King Azaire I's constantly paying tribute to the Pirate lords. The Pirate activity was of limited of late.
The Sahuagin however were still a terriable force to be reckoned with. These fearsome Shark people would litterly sneak up upon unexpected ships underwater and would storm the unexpected vessels at night.
They would be wielding tridents and swords doing the best they could to force the crew of the ship to go over the side were they would have an advantage over the land peoples.
For those that landed safely they would arrive at the port city of Jorica. The second largest city in the Kingdom under the rule of Duke Orlan Sokar. This city has a large repuation of being a haven for several pirate ships. The Docks were crawling with them and sailors and other shady characters.
OOC: This is a general description for all people coming by sea. You can choose to Rp your journey or just land safely at the Port city of Jorica..
Kronok had gathered a group of sailors and was on his way. He had heard of the shark people who invaded your ship at night, but he was ready for them.
After 5 straight days of sailing they were within a few hours reach of Hansia. All the crew decided to rest for a while. Kronok stayed awake though to make sure they didn't crash into anything.
Splashes and shloops of the water appeared all around the boat as things emerged from the depths and climbed onto the boat. Kronok saw one and kicked him straight in the face, breaking it's nose. He then drew his saber and set about ringing the alarm bell. Out of nowhere 10 soldiers ambushed the shark people and cut them down in droves. Kronok slew their group leader and the others scattered. He saw one and summoned a fireball and cast it at the creature, it was fried in seconds and toppled into the water. Bodies littered the boat, some of his men lay dead, but many more shark people lay bleeding on the deck. Kronok and his men kicked the shark bodies into the sea while wrapping up his mens' to prepare them for burial back home.
Within an hour they arrived at the port of Jorica and all stepped off,
"So this is Hansia" Kronok thought
The City of Jorica had an open dock district in the eastern part of the City. The Jorica however had a large stone wall that surrounded the Northern, Southern, and Western part of the city.
The houses and bussiness of the city of Jorica were made of wood execpt for the Citadel of the Duke and the Wizard Tower that served as the center of the adminstrative government. These buildings were made of stone the same that made up the wall that kept the monsters from raiding the city. They were visable in the Docks district despite being in the central Government district of the city.
The Dock District was constantly being patroled by Royal Hansian Infantry men. These warriors wore plate mail armor and wielded Iron spears and large tower shields with the nation's Royal coat of arms painted in the center of the shield indicating there experience in the field of battle. They would march in large columns of ten and arrest any person that was caught breaking the law or causing a disrupting for the decent folk of the area.
The Captain of the one of these columns was on the look out for the mercenaries. His orders were to escort them to the Citadel of the of Duke Olan and have him explain the situation.
The Captain noticed the foriegn vessel land and headed towards it hoping it was holding the people he was looking for.
Kronok looked around the Dock to see men patrolling and eying everyone closely. The walls were huge and covered with guards. Then Kronok and his crew noticed a man heading towards them, looked very official. This must be one of the Dock captains.
"Stay calm soldiers, I will do the talking." He motioned for his men to hush.
The Captain heads up to the ship and speaks in the common tongue. The Captain however has a odd ascent (may have mispelled this word) thanks to the Hansian preferance to speak there own language rather than talk common.
The Captain saids, "I am one of the patrol captains of the city Jorica. I am here to inquire if you our one of the mercenary bands that the King asked for to help in our on going war agaisnt the mountain monsters?"
The Captain had opened the helm that protected his face and the first thing a person would notice is the scar across his right cheek. An orc battle ax had left it's mark upon the Captain's face during one of the many raids upon the Hansian country side...
OOC: Note The Hansian soldiers are really well equipped and are really experienced on the field when in the cities. Once you start leaving the cities and head to the mountains. You will notice the Hansian Royal Army is sending raw recurits and Rangers to defend the Country side. Thus offering less protection from the hostile forces of the mountain.
The people of Hansia primarly speak Hansian since they have been isolated from the rest of the world for so long. They can speak common but most of the time they have an ascent when speaking it..
"We are that mercenary band." Kronok replied, he towered over his crew, at 7 feet tall, plus muscular build, he was very large in his country. "My men are very experienced and will offer whatever help we can." He pointed to his men.
All were very muscular, yet stood no taller than 6 feet 2. All of them wore the armour of Ftang, steel mail plus a unique helmet. All carried swords with a bow on the back.
"May I request that we be allowed to bury some men here? We had a skirmish at sea and I lost some men."
The leader of this band of mercenaries easily surpassed the Captain's mere 5 ft 9 height.
The Captian was not Intimated he had battled 8 foot tall ogres and knew that size may give you an advantage in battle but other factors also had effect.
The Captain replies, "I understand entirely these waters our infamous for getting good people gullied. I will notify the duke of your arrival once you have buried your dead please vist the Citadel of Duke Olan."
The Captain points towards the large stone stronghold in the center of the city. The most noticable feature was the Royal Hansian Flag that flew over the battlements of the Stronghold.
"I thankyou Captain. We shall head there soon. Where is the church?"
He asked the closest mercernaries to begin bringing the bodies off the boat.
The Wermen had recieved the telegram from the nation of Hansia, not only was this a great chance for a fight but it was also an opportunity to gain some wealth for their cause, Lord Kadun I had sent his best and most loyal men via the mountains bordering the kingdom in need.
Kendwin, Champion of the Wermen Fighting Stock, and his three men rode down the snowcapped mountain, they had lived their lives on mountain sides, their riding wolves snarled and snapped at the snow, the Fight was close.
The Captain smiled and said, "The Kingdom of Hansia has many different churches. We however have one offical religion. The Church of the Great Protector."
The Captain points at a building with a giant Gold Dragon statue guarding the entrance.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mountains were a perilous Journey indeed. The Kingdom of Hansia may claim the mountains as there territory but in truth. It is controled by the many beasties that carve large territories. Entire Goblin tribes would lay claim to a mountain. Or a Orc Tribe. Some Mountains were home to Giants or Feared Red Dragons. The Silver Dragons one of the few good Dragons lived in there silver mines guarding it from all trespassers. The Mountain trails are under Ogre control they make travelers pay protection money at each check point.
OOC: The Kingdom of Hansia worship a mighty Golden Dragon that once saved the City of Morkinburg from a Red Dragon. The Red Dragon use to force the Duke Azaire to pay a large tribute of sliver and gold to keep it from razing the city.
The Gold Dragon being a naturally good creature could not put up with this evil act and attacked the Red in the air. The Red Dragon was slain and the people believe the Golden Dragon was a god that smited the Evil Red Dragon. They call the Dragon the Great Protector.
"Thankyou." Kronok walked there, followed closely behind by his mercs.
After the men were buried and Kronok payed his respect to the gods, he headed into the Citadel to meet with the Duke...

Jorica was full of commoners that were talking in there native langauge. The Hansians themselves at first glance looked primarly human but if you looked closely you could see several Elves and half Elves.
The cities were defenses were quite impossing. The closer the mercs were to the center of the city they would notice that the armed patrols increased. The City obvious had a very large defense force. If the Mercs looked up at the walls of the city they would notice several Archers manning the walls and the towers of the walls were also full of Archers.
The Government District was the largest patroled area. The Citadel acted as a barracks for the many Royal Infantry men that bravely kept the city from crumbling into disorder and decay.
The Citadel of Duke Orlan was a very large Fortress. That was crawling with Royal Infantry men. The stone towers were armed with archers and crossbowmen. The Flags of the Kingdom of Hansian were still flaying in the sea's gentle breeze ontop of the battlements of the Citadel...
The Guards at the Gate all 15 of them lower there halbreds and the obvious Captain in charge saids, "What bussiness do you have with the Citadel of Duke Orlan?"
OOC: Sorry Jolt confused me and my puppet Hansia
OOC: Tis okay, happened to me multiple times mate
IC: "I am the mercernary leader Kronok Tianan, and have come to aid the Duke in his wars. These men are with me."

The Captain of the guard saids in his highly ascented voice, "You certainly look the part of mercenaries. I will let you in but please leave your weapons with me. We very well can not let foriegners come into the center of our cities government armed to the teeth."
The Gates of the Citadel slowly open and the halbreds are lowered. The Guards start to move out of the mercenaries way.
Kendwin and his men had made it through the worst of the snows, they had now to deal with the Ogres, a toll booth made Kendwin stop, the Ogres smiled.
"Let me through, animal, or I will cut you down where you stand!"
The Ogre, obviously angered, pulled out his club, following suite Kendwin sheathed his Battle-axe.
"Don't be a fool, let me pass!"
Rather expectidly the Ogre swiped forward, he missed and struck a lone rock, the rest of the Warriors drew their axes and piled on top of the other Ogre, never could you see such fine swipes of an Axe, Kendwin had the Ogre down on the floor in minutes, the other Ogre had been dealt with, leaving one of the Warriors injured.
"Let us through and we won't kill you here!"
Kendwin spat on the Ogre's crusty face as he drew the Axe up to the beasts neck.
"Grubash let you through, but other Ogre will not be so generous!"
Kendwin released the pressure on the Ogre, as the team walked past one of the Warriors finished off the critically injured Ogre, the Team passed on by, it was still a long passage to the City and no doubt one or more of the Warriors would die.
"Very well, men give them your weapons." All handed over their swords and bows, and entered through the doors into the citadel...
The Elven ranger Asylria and her band of 30 Rangers were deep in the mountains near the main pass.
There goal was to await for possiable mercenaries and escort them to the City of Morkinburg. The Rangers were experts of tracking and hit and run warfare.
The Asylria's band scouted a group of Ogres guarding one of there check points. The human and Elven rangers start to sneak above the check point and aim there experterly wielded long bows and took aim upon the 8ft tall monsters.
Asylria was following the King's command help the mercenaries get to Morkinburg and killing some evil monsters that have killed more than share of Hansian citizens.
The Hail of arrows fell upon the unsuspecting monsters below..
________________________________________________________________
The Citadel was large the entrance was full of Infantry guards. One of the duke's pages walked up to the merc group and said, "I am here to take you to the Duke Orlan. He is in the war room with his General Cosisin." The Page walks towards one of the towers of the citadel. He opens it with a key and the two guards move out of the way. The Citadel is highly decorated with paintings and coat of arms of both the Royal Family and of the Duke..
Amazing, thought Kronok. Ftang was full of places like this, but nowhere near as greatly designed.
He walked into the War room telling his group to wait at the door. He waited for the Duke to notice him.
The Duke Orlan and his General Cosisin were hunched over a map of Hansia. They do not noticed the merceanary band at the edge of the War room. The place was full of pages and servants and soldiers...
The General saids, "My Lord, The Town of Kashinburg is under siege by the Orc Warlord Krasius and his tribes."
The Duke saids, "So, King Azaire I wants me to send two full regiments from the city to relieve the Kashinburg's defenders."
The General saids, "Yes sir, We can not afford to lose that foritfied town. It is the third largest town in the Kingdom and stands as a bastion of defiance to the Mountain monsters."
The Duke saids, "Very well send the new recurits and send them to Kashinburg immedately."
The Duke looks up and noticed the merc band he saids, "May I help you gentlemen?"
OOC: The Duke is a small man about 4ft 11 and is not known for his fighting poweress he however is a brilliant military and political planner..
"I am Kronok Tianan, leader of the Ftangian Mercernaries sent to help you fight off the monsters." He looked down on the Duke even from that distance.
The Duke saids, "Intresting, I may get to keep one of my regiments after all."
The General saids, "Sir, The King might consider it an insult for not sending the two regiments along with the mercenaries."
The Duke sighs and saids, "Very well send a Knight regiment to the town of Kashinburg. That is something the Orc bastard would not expect. He thinks we will conserve our best troops not send them to the front like he does."
The General grined he loved it when the Duke fought unexpectatly it usually worked agaisnt the Orcish hordes...
"Where shall we go my lord? We will do anything to help."
The Duke Orlan smiles and saids, "You are to go to Kashinburg and help defend the town from the Orcish threat there."
The General adds, "Your party will be paid 100 Hansian Gold pieces for your services in this matter and remember if you serve for five years you recieve Hansian citizenship and a large track of land."
The Duke saids, "You have two days to prepare for the journey. It will take at least a week for you and the Knights to reach the Town."
"Master."
One of Kendwins soldiers had his nose buried in the snow, Kendwin walked over to the warrior.
"What is it? What do you smell?"
The Warrior lifted his head and scanned around the powder snow storm that had suddenly appered.
"Humans, they came past this way not too long ago."
The dense smell of Human life was easy to pick up, it had been a smell that all Wermen had been almost trained to identify, the different types of sweat, blood, tears, all of them gave more than tracks ever could.
"We must be closing in on the city, the rest of the mountain looks rideable, mount up warriors!"
The band satchled up and got back onto the fearsome wolf creatures, the bounded off down the Mountain-side, the Mountain Wolves gripped harder than the Wermen could meaning that even steep descents seemed near passable, the Mountain would be dissapearing soon.
"Will do my lord." And with that Kronok led his men out of the Citadel and to a nearby inn and got rooms there. During the night men got bags and supplies from the ship.
They began to head out on schedule
"Men, though it is a week away, be prepared for anything."
The Ogres had been defeated, There corspes were left with the arrows still impeded in there thick hides.
The Rangers had pillaged the gold that the Ogres had collected, The Rangers had to continue there trek to find any signs of mercenaries in the area.
The Elven leader Asylria looks at the snow but has not found any tracks thanks to the constant snowing. She looked at a branch and saw it was broken and knew something large came this way.
The Ranger Asylria saids in Hansian, "Comrades hide this could be something dangerous around here."
The Rangers begin to hide behind rocks trees and one of them buries himself rather effectively in the snow...

The Knight regiment was formed. The Regiment Field Marshal Eric Von Socos a Knight of much military experince headed the regiment. They prepared to leave the safe walls of the Jorica and head towards to the roads of the Hansian country side a dangerous place to be with all the dangers out there.
The Knights all 500 of them prepare to mount there horses and head towards the town of Kashinburg. The town under the feared Blood Baron Karl Marishin...
OOC: Note Blood Baron is a nickname. The ruler of Kashinburg is famous for his daring raids on the Orc's and Goblins and getting several good men killed in what some people argue as pointless gesture to the mountain monsters..
The Hansian Knights head out from the center of the city. The Flag bearer held the Hansian Flag above.
The Knights all of them mounted headed out towards the main gate at the West.
The common people stayed out of there way but cheers and songs were being sung in honor of this military parade that was heading out to deal with the evil orcs and there allies..
The main Gates were slowly opening to allow the Knights and the Mercenaries out to head towards the fortfied town of Kashinburg.
The Flags of Hansia can be seen from the city of Jorica a reminder of the safety of the city was going to be fleeting once the regiment moved pass the rolling hills of the west...
OOC: Sorry for the double post. Thought you were waiting for the regiment to move out...
The mercs sprung into a chant:
"Kronok strong
Kronok tall
Makes his enemies
very small
Mercs strong
Mercs short
Give the enemy
a bow shot."
Kronok had taught them this when he first formed this band. And now he was ready to fight anything
In the first 4 days things were uneventful. The Knights were happy about this but on the 5th day. The Regiment entered into a battle field. The area was full of Goblins. There were even Worgs and Goblins ridding them!!
The Knights form into battle formation. There Silver platemail glistened in the sun as there lances lowered. Some of the Knights took out there Warhammers, Maces, Swords and other close quarter weapons.
The Field Marshal Eric Von Socos cries out, "For Hansia and King Azaire I!"
The Knights take up the battle cry and start a massive charge there metalic sheilds at ready and there weapons raised to start hacking and slashing the enemies of the Kingdom of Hansia...
"FOR THE KING!!!!" Shouted Kronok, joined by his mercs.
The group charged the goblin lines, sabers at the ready.
Kronok hit first cleaving a goblin clean in two, and cracking another across the skull. The second in command of the mercs, Lushok, hacked and slashed his way through five, blood splurting everywhere. All the mercs fought valiantly, they never struggled or gave up but kept fighting. Kronok saw a gob about to attack a knight in the back, he jumped and shoved his saber through its chest...
The Knights rode through the ranks of the goblins. The Goblins were about 4ft tall weaklings plus these were mere raiders armed with 3rd rate weapons.
The Knights easily hack through several of them killing roughly 50 of them all together.
The problem were the Worg's and there riders. These giant wolf monsters were capable of taking down a Knight by jumping on them and tearing into the flesh with there deadly teeth. There claws were lethal as well.
The Field Marshal smashed two of these monsters with his Warhammer. The Goblins had finally retreated. Some of the Goblins were badly wounded and the Knights were more than happy to ease there passing into the after life.
The problem was about ten good Knights and there steeds were killed in the battle thanks to the Worgs..
The Field Marshal ordered that there supplies and armor and weapons be taken so the Goblins could not take them when they come back.
The Knights take the bodies to bury them. One of the Knights a Paladin of the Great Protector starts to incite the rites of the dead.
The Knight merc leader saved said, "Thank you for the help. I would have joined those men over there if you had not done that noble deed."
"You are welcome, I'd do that anytime." He shook his hand and walked over to his band.
Kronok checked to see if he was missing anyone.
"We're one short. Where's Lushok."
"Over there sir." Pointed a merc, and there lay Lushok under the body of a Worg, the creature had bitten him in half yet he stabbed it and its rider in the belly.
"You can't go Lushok, you are one of the best."
"Guess...you...will...have...to find a new one eh." He struggled and coughed after every word. He then let out his last breath and lay motionless.
After a week of being in this land, Kronok had lost 5 men, 4 to the shark people and now Lushok.
"You two wrap up the body and put it on the wagon." an all new rage filled his eyes "We are going to wipe away any scum who cross our path."
The Regiment continued on it's long trek to get to Kashinburg. The sights of the country side were distrubing. The sight of war was every where. A razed village here. A pile of human corspes and several monsters there. blood on the flat plains...
The Field Marshal sighs and tries to get the Regiment to hurry to Kashinburg. The Knights went with out question. They all wanted to get to the safety of the stone walls of Kashinburg.
Upon the Seventh day at dawn the Regiment made it to Kashinburg. The sight was surpising. There were hundreds of Orc camp at the base of the mountains. There were also Goblins and even a few Mountain giants. They seemed to keep there distance from the town.
The Regiment knew why....
The Town had catapults and Wizards willing to blast any monster that neared to the fortified walls. The Crossbowmen and the archers did not help any monster that tried to siege this town. The town also had a massive moat full of Goblin and Orc corspes floating in it. They had arrows and bolts in there bodies..
The Regiment raises there flag and head towards the southern entrance of the Town..
The Mercs. rejoiced at the fact they were finally there. Kronok was ready to wipe out the invaders at any cost.
As they approached the gates they opened and were let in...
The town of Kashinburg was considerably smaller than the grand city they left. The Citadel of the Baron was much smaller and look more like a small Keep instead of a massive fortress like citadel of a Duke. The Wizards tower was also much smaller than the one in Jorica.
The town seemed like a minature version of the city of Jorica. The Town was designed for defense execept it lacked the Docks and harbor. It had instead a merchant district. There people sold goods and weapons...
The Regiment headed to the Baron's citadel to report to the Blood Baron Karl Marishin. The Field Marshal knew the first order would be to rest and resupply then charge into the Orcs and drive them into the monsters just like last time...
Everyone layed down and prepared for what was going to come. Kronok was still grieving over the loss of Lushok. But for the time being half the band went up on the walls, whil another quarter went with Kronok to the Citadel..
The path down the Mountain had vanished into a sea of Glaciers and crevasses, the Riders had dismounted for fear of riding straight into a deep crevass, they had lost a warrior to an Orc ambush just a few miles back, theses Orcs had a unique scent which none of the Wermen had smelt before, they knew now what the were to be weary of.
The front warrior had his nose pressed once more to the ground, he had somthing, he wasn't quite sure what it was but it did not smell human.
"Kendwin, it may be Orc, but I also smell our Wolves, they are coming this way, slowly."
As if he had amazing foresight, out of the powder snow came a small band of pondering Orcs, they seemed smaller, and some rode slowly on the backs of creatures mimicing the Wermen riding wolves, Kendwin had a difficult choice, were they allies who had evolved from the Lupi genus? Or where they enemies who enslaved the fellow Lupi?
"Warriors, take cover, their pack is too large, we will pick off only the stragling wounded."
Quickly each warrior took up positions behind snow mounds or in pits, as Goblins crept close by the warriors they were sunk down and beaten to a bloody pulp, a few of the Pack decided to taste the meat which they had just created, it was stringy and had a bitter taste to it, the Gobbo pack passed by with an unknowing 11 losses.
"Kendwin, they have left a trail of blood, it may lead us to the city and around the Crevass."
The Citadel of the Baron looked like a smaller version of the Duke's Citadel. It held few paintings and a the Kings coat of arms and the Barons under the King's. There was a large tapresty in the main hall.
The main hall was full of marching Platemail wearing infantry men running to and from different room across hall. In some areas pages were running with orders for the wall constantly running in and out of the war room and the entrance. The Servants were walking around cleaning and serving some of the soldiers.
The Knights head towards the barracks. The Field Marshal heads towards the war room where the battle harden Baron would be planing for some crazy plan of attack.
________________________________________________________________
The Ranger band finally makes towards the end of the mountains and notices the strange army of monsters at the base of the mountains.(Note they are taking the high roads and thus are above the Army) It was full of Orcs and Goblins. even Giants there must have been hundreds of them maybe even thousands...
The Rangers start to take a secret route under the mountain via a cave near there hiding spot that would lead them inside Kashinburg through the sewer system. The Rangers knew of this entrance and hoped that the Orcish army did not...
"Champion, I smell Human life, not far from here, I also smell Sea, I guess that we are within at least an hours distance, so far no Orc scent, they could be disguising their musk."
The pack continued to march onwards, they had dismounted from their Wolf steeds as they needed rest, the scent of civilisation had protruted the noses of the whole pack not just the sniffer, soon after came the sounds, it was noticibly a bustling metropolis, lastly came the sights, the City enveloped the pack as they wandered around looking for some form of building which would give a hint of a leader.
OOC: Are you heading towards Jorica the port city, Morkinburg the Capital or Kashinburg the town under siege?
Kashinburg was a large town with a massive stone wall that surrounded the town itself. The walls were manned by Human and Elven Archers. They were also wizards and a few platemail wearing spearmen on the walls.
Kashinburg had a large moat that surrounded the town with bodies of dead Orc's and Goblins. there was even a few Worgs floating in there.
The Army of Monsters were camped at the base of the Mountain blockading the main pass. The Giants in the Army started to throw giant boulders at the walls. The Catapults from the town unleashed massive flaming projectiles at the Monster Army.
The Wizards on the walls started to cast offensive spells like fireballs, and lightening bolts at the Giants...
The Wolves could easly make out the Baron's Citadel in the Middle of the town. The other large strcture was a massive tower inside the town. The Wizard's tower for the Guild..

(OOC: sorry, had no idea it had walls or was still under siege)
From the mass battle outside the walls the Wermen could see a few noticible large structures, the main problem was getting to them, if they struck out they would no doubt be all slaughtered.
"Pack, stick together and source out all the majorly wounded enemies, we will hunt them like the Bears back home."
Sticking together the pack made it into a dense patch of debris, there they waited for the right time to leap onto a retreating enemy.
OOC: Yeah most towns in Hansia are walled thanks to constantly raids by Orcs and Goblins. The Siege is still going on but you can probally sneak past the Army at night. but that could be dangerous with the Worgs sniffing around and the hundreds of Orcs and Goblins making up the core of this Army.
