"...all those stories late in the show. First, after the shocking and controversial impeachment of four Conservative Senators -in the western provinces of Juliapolis, LeTralle, Cardinatte & Ionus- byelections have been called to fill the seats.

The Senators are currently under house arrest, awaiting trial for Conspiracy to Commit Electoral Fraud, Which carries a minimum 12 years sentence...

It is believed the ruling Liberal Party has already emptied $4 million from their election kitty into a grass roots campaign. In the hope of breaking the Conservative dominance over the western provinces.

There is by no means a guaranteed victory for the government here, with the new-comer, right-wing party, the National Reformists looking to spread their party base further south..."

"As seen in this electoral map, the government needs to ensure that it continues to expand it's support base. Or risk a second term of a minority government."

"The Liberal Party has announced they intend to the run the Minsiter for the Republic and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Sarah Hours in LaTrelle. Polical commentaters had expected the government to hold out three years, until the federal elections, and run her in a safe seat.

Dr Hours, the former Secretary to the Office of the President, is most notable for her work with Macisikan and her diplomatic abilities. Also noted for Cretian heritage, she commands a national approval rating of 62% and the second highest leadership poll. At 12%, she is the highest contender against the current President who commands 73% prefered leadership rating..."

"Following close on the heels of the Liberals, the Reformists have announce Councillor Andrew Jenkins will contest the seat.

Mr Jenkins has nine years of experience as a Local Council Member. Spread between three terms. Having served a standard 3 year term, then loosing office, only to re-elected twice more -after his replacement decided against running for a second term.

Previously a member of the Conservative Party, Mr Jenkins is a largly unknow figure in national politics.

Local news papers report his approval ratings are highly polarized, gaining massive support form the upper-middle class for pro-bussiness policies. However loosing massive support from intellectuals, Patricians and lower-middle class voters for completely cutting local contributions to universities and an alleged failure to maintain streets.

There are currently no poll numbers available on Councillor Jenkins..."

"Has the government reached a position on the Rotovian by-elections?"

"The First Minister wishes Dr. Hours the best of luck."

"Is that the official position?"

"It is not our practice to comment on other nation's internal affairs, unless they affect Imperial interests, but the First Minister is allowed to wish anyone she likes the best of luck."

"Does His Majesty have any comment?"

"The Court of Light has no official comment. Sue."

"How long until the First calls for..."
