Panic. Desperation. Death.

The world had not seen such cruelty since the AMF slaughter of Austo Hungary until now. Images of Kahanistan's cities in flames filled the daily news, as well as the horrific. Large piles of decaying corpses littered the countryside, forests of the impaled had been erected, and the children of Kahanistan had been butchered and mutilated before their parent's eyes. The banners of Automagfreek and the Consortium flew from every height, and at the feet of their mighty colors lay the ashes of the dead.

That evening a special broadcast was made to the entire world. Lord Dreadfire had personally issued a statement concerning the Consortium/AKA war, and it was to be read aloud on live TV.

In the weeks that have past you have seen carnage on a near biblical scale at the hands of the Sentinels. You have seen the destruction of the Kahanistani Navy, and you have seen the collapse of their air force and army. You have seen the panicked masses take to the streets in fear, only to be gunned down in cold blood by the advancing Sentinel hoard. In near record time my forces have approaced the capital of Kahanistan, and the city limits will soon be within striking distance of my indomitable army.

The insolence of the Kahanistan government has cost its people their lives and their land, and the Sentinels have left nothing but ash and death in their wake. The world has seen the consequence of crossing swords with Automagfreek, but still some refuse to take these lessons to heart.

There are still those in the AKA who continue to fight in vain against an opponent they cannot possibly hope to defeat. They have witnessed the near destruction of Kahanistan but choose to defy me and the Consortium. Therefore I say to those in the AKA that the time to admit defeat and surrender is now. Lay down your weapons and sign the treaty of peace, or you will suffer a fate far worse than Kahanistan.

As we speak, Consortium forces are gearing up to smash the AKA into oblivion.....and I have personally rallied the armies of Gholgoth to the cause. Against the Consortium and Gholgoth there can be no victory, and if this ultimatum is not answered in 48 hours, the destruction will continue. The time to admit defeat it now, or you will forever seal your fate and the fate of your nation.

To prove that Automagfreek and the Consortium mean business, we have begun planning the assault of the next AKA nation. For those that doubt our resolve, continue to watch the bloodbath that is Kahanistan, and see for yourself what awaits you.

It is a pity that the government of Kahanistan, and indeed, every nation of the Anti Kraven Alliance, have abandoned their citizenry to the ravages of the AMF/Consortium war machine. The crime of these condemned men, women, and children was merely to be led by a pack of imbeciles, fools who would challenge the limitless strength of the Consortium's vast militaries. And their inevitable punishment for this most minor of transgressions will be their utter extermination. However, my pity is tempered by the fact that the peoples comprising the AKA have done nothing to save themselves from their ghastly fate, and instead resist with tooth and nail to save themselves from the annihilation the Sentinels deal out in such generous quantities. While this behavior is only natural, their failure to submit to the Consortium's will thus marks them no longer as innocent victims, but as hostile belligerents.

As Executor of the State, with the backing of the Imperial Senate, I hereby pledge the resources, the armies, and the total support of the Militant Imperium of Tyrandis to the banner of the Consortium. It has come to my attention that yours and other Governments have made certain threats towards the Commonwealth nation of Velkya. We have no real involvement with the specific incidents in question, but we are bound legally by treaties to defend all members of Her Majesty's Commonwealth against any unwarranted military action and this, I assure you, we shall do to the best of our ability. It is not in our nature to recuse ourselves from treaty obligations.

It is not the intention of this new Government, however, to needlessly bring the Democratic Imperium into a destructive and needless war over a foreign people of which we know very little. We are perfectly willing to negotiate some arrangement whereby both Velkya may retain sovereignty and Automagfreek et al. may avenge whatever transgression the aforementioned committed.

Asked the Captain of the PWS Invincible who, like the others, was conversing over an ultra-short-range radio teleconferencing system, "our navy is easily powerful enough to make their pursual of this conflict not... worthwhile... and when combined with support from Questers and the other Commonwealth nations, I dont see how they could possibly break a naval defence."

"My opinions exactly, Captain Varrus, but the Government does not seem to agree. I doubt they want to risk the Fleet over something so trivial to us so early on in their term. Major naval losses over this situation could spell the end of what would be an extremely short-lived Liberal-Tory Party."

"So if we are to make the most of this situation," interrupted the Captain of the PWS Agile, a gruff man with a thick moustache, "I take it we are to strike en masse and at range."

"Quite so, quite so. We need only destroy their transports and their invasion is scupperred. If we destroy even a single such vessel, we will have killed thousands of even tens of thousands of sentinels without them able to fire a shot. Once we have exhausted our missile supplies, we are to scatter into the surroundings and conduct a guerilla war against their supply ships using Hogsweatian-made nuclear-powered torpedos."

The other Captains nodded in agreement. As naval Officers, they knew that that kind of campaign would be an Automagfreek Admiral's worst nightmare - it forces the enemy either to divert large amounts of resources to guarding convoys, or else leave their vital supply lines horribly exposed to an enemy they could neither see nor engage without a great deal of luck, or a great deal of ships.

"I hope you all know," continued the Admiral, his tone lowering, "that none of us may come back from this campaign. This is not going to be a battle for our own survival - this is going to be a battle for the success of the campaign. If we do indeed deploy troops to Velkya, you and your boats will be their first and most powerful line of defence."

"Yes sir," they echoed in unison, grimly.

"Very well then. Good luck everyone - it will be radio silence from now on. God Save the King!" The others echoed, and one by one the teleconferencing screens went black as each submarine pulled out of its 250m range and dropped, silently, further beneath the murky waves.

Through literally millenaia of sharing borders with the Kraven Corporation, we have for a long time held them in the highest esteem concerning both their domestic and foreign politics.

In turn we have come to respect their new found allies, and as a fellow member of the Consortium we feel it is necessary to pledge support for our allies in their time of need. Forces which were prepared for the invasion of Kahanistan are still in international waters around their nation, and we shall not hesitate to use them as an initial landing force supporting any member of the Consortium.

As pools of blood are shed and fleshes of innocence are torn apart in the nation of Kahanistan where a shameful invasion has occured in the name of evil and wickedness, we are equally distraught by the lust for expansionism and reckless slaughter on both sides of this vast spectrum of warring nations.

As it is, it is a reminder, in an ever-increasing intensity, that we shall not stand by with mere curious looks while such slaughter continues. Though we are ourselves still somewhat suspicious of the intentions of the AKA, such naked threats against a prospective Commonwealth nation (Velkya) is not only concerning, but also greatly disturbing. The recklessness and absolute disregard for anything other than meaningless, shameful slaughter bore by the leaders of Automagfreek are, to say at least, worrysome. However, at the same time, the Omzian government is also determined to retain its state of military neutrality at the time being for various reasons, the most important being not entangled in a war of expansionism and imperialism where blood will be shed for reasons none other than a lust for slaughter.

However, at the same time as a member of the Commonwealth, we have no choice other than to adopt a defensive position in the interest of our fellow Commonwealth allies. Though this position may certainly change, for the time being, it is in the interests of the leaders of Automagfreek that direct and explicit threats are not to be made against the nation of Questers or/and Praetonia, or/and any other nation of the Commonwealth. Otherwise, the Omzian government and the combined fist of the Omzian People's National Defence Forces will be forced into a position that will only bring another nation into play, in this war of an ever-increasing tempo.

After encrypted negoitations with Automagfreek diplomats, the Velkyan Senate has ratified the following treaty.

Velkyan-Automagfreek Pact

This treaty contains 5 points.

Point 1: Cease of Hostilities

Any hostile action between AMF and Velkyan forces will be prohibited. Any collection of wounded or dead will be allowed by each side, as well as the salvage of military equipment.

Point 2: War Reperations

AMF forces that were engaged by the Velkyan Navy and Air Force and suffered losses will be paid in full for the losses, no more, no less.

Point 3: Rejection of Anti-Kraven Alliance

The Allied Union will withdrawl from the AKA and renounce direct military support of said alliance.

Point 4: Rejection of Kraven Treay

The Allied Union will reject the Kraven Corpartion's treaty and remain a fully indepedent nation with an independent military.

Point 5: Asylum of AKA citizens

Any citizens of the AKA that can escape their home country will be offered asylum and citizenship in the Allied Union. Any military forces that manage to flee will be integrated into the Velkyan Armed Forces if they wish. To aid in the

The Republic of National Commonwealth will be making available all funds from an initial sale of bonds worth β1 trillion Banc-Securities Marks ($3.8 trillion) in the from of immediate non-discretionary spending and will hence forth use these bonds to subsidize allied military operations until the end of this conflict.

We do hope this conflict finds resolution without significant military action or loss of life.

So the cabinet has finally seen the Totalitarian Military State of The Kraven Corporation has finally turned to the most indomitable military power in the entire world: the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek. We are not surprised, given the fact that from our experience, corporatists have the tendency to be insidious. We also know the High Command have come to some deal that promises great benefit to your nation...we suspect that the only true winner, at the end of it all, is The Kraven Corporation. Let's go to an even more secure transmission to discuss this.

Meanwhile, in the Red Sea, the guns of the Automagfreek fleet and the Velkyan High Seas Fleet fell silent. Overhead, the fighters of both sides began to RTB.

Airmen First Class Zak Grimm formed up alongside the rest of his wingmates. Their blue and white aircraft began to fly back to the Oured, from where they would sail back home. In was quite beautiful outside. He thought of his young wife, Helena, back home in Main City. He wondered how she was fairing, worrying about his safety.

As the dozens of LMF-3s flew back, a flight of Eryx dropship skirted over the edge of the water. It was pitch black night, their FLIR and RADAR was the only things guiding them and keeping them from crashing into the onyx ocean. They cruised over to the Jalik II wreckage. The ship was still afloat, billlowing smoke from it's devestated magazine. The first touched down on the blackened helipad, blasting on it's megaphone for survivors to load up. A Jalik II was crewed by 120 men. Only 70 or so came out. 40 loaded into the Eyrx, as it dusted off towards the V.S.S. Velkya.

Another approached, filled with Marines. They began to put out the fire, as another squad in power armor began to beat down the hatches, rescuing trapped crew members. Soon, they had put out the fire, and they began to process of collecting the dead. Every last crew member was accounted for in several hours. The final toll was:

As the 3 dropships lifted off from the ruined ship, filled with Marines and sailors, 13 Pelican dropships skimmed the surface of the water, searching for downed flight crew. Picking up both allied and enemy pilots, the Pelican scoured the entire area of sea. Total, they had picked up over 50 pilots and seaman who were blasted from their assests. The Posideon submarine fleet began to slip beneath the waves again, retreiving it's aircraft. It was headed for home.

Far overhead, the Battle Cluster began to move back into regular orbit, slowly traveling back to the star-space around Velkya.

Peace had come again.

Although we lack a vision of awe and respect as the nations of Kraven and Automagfreek, as a fanatical member of The Consortium, The Oppressed Peoples of Psyker Bearzerkers is no less willing to throw every; willing warrior, fanatical militia volunteer, and every frontline fodder criminal at those who would think to still defy that of The Consortium and it's allies.

The recent lack of military involvement in the conflict has made the populace restless. We have geared for war ever since our alliance with Kraven and as many have said of our other allies, the nation of Psyker Bearzerkers has not been able to sate its lust for war!

Dear Sir,

His Majesty's Government is greatly pained by your attempts to draw out a conflict which has long since been averted in order to solve your own domestic problems and lack of stability. It is such that I have no choice but to inform you that, should you act upon your 'ultimatum' in a manner that would not be conducive to the interests of the nation of Velkya, or any other member of the Questerian Commonwealth, we shall be forced to take action pertaining to the destruction of every sea-going Psykerian vessel and the sweeping of your naval presence from the seas.

You are arraying your armies against an enemy far more powerful than your own meagre forces, and you are doing so in direct contravention to a treaty signed by your own allies that, in the signing of which, assurances were given that no support would be leant to any nation attempting to continue hostilities towards Velkya and in fact that such action would be actively opposed.

I therefore implore you, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, to reconsider your current course of action for the betterment of both yourself and the members of the Questerian Commonwealth, but know that we shall not abandon our commitments to defend our allies and our own lands from any hostile attack concerning this matter, and we shall not act lightly to ensure that no such invasion that could bring such destruction to the native lands of Velkya and others can be carried out by your forces, if necessary to the point of sending troops to your own sovereign territories.

The Government of Kahanistan wearies of this unproductive bandying of missiles and shells. We will offer peace to the Kraven Corporation with the following terms, which are, of course, open to negotiation:

1. We are in need of a source of cheap labor and you are having a problem with thought criminals. As the thought criminals seem to have a shared ideology with the Kahanistan Government, we believe they would be less of a threat to us than to you if they were deported here.

2. We will cease all military hostilities with your nation, effective upon the signing of this treaty by a duly authorized Kraven official.

3. In exchange for points one and two, we will divert funds from our new, all-consuming economy to repairing all damage to all non-Gholgoth Consortium forces and war materiel caused by any AKA forces, and we will withdraw from the AKA, upon the signing of the treaty.

If PB tries to enforce anything on me, that will be a breach of treaty and I will most definetly attack him.

I have accually been obivious to the peacetalks thread, i thought it eneded and i haven't taken a look at it since it started... Although i made have made one post on it...

It is fair that i wasnt represented in the treaty, as i haven't fired a single shot at any AKA member. If it sounded like i was forcing a treaty then you are all mistaken.

It was a messege that I suppoerted the cuase of the consortium and would continue to do so, had i known that the peace talks were continuing i might not have made a post at all.

If any nations need more clarification on my post then ask for it.

A sound proposal, but the language and provisions are too sloppy for such a sensitive and important document. Here is what we propose as an alternative, if you please;

The Government of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek and The Military State of the Kraven Corporation,
and
The Government of the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan
directed by the wish to end the terrible conflict between those nations, and to strengthen the cause of peace between Automagfreek, The Kraven Corporation and Kahanistan, and proceeding upon the basic provisions of mutual understanding reached in previous times, have reached the following agreement:

Article 1
The nations of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek and The Military State of the Kraven Corporation, jointly the first contracting party, and the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan, the second contracting party, referred to henceforth as the two contracting parties, shall undertake to refrain from any act of violence, any aggressive action, or any attack against one another, whether individually or jointly with other powers.

Article 2
In the case of the contracting parties becoming the object of warlike acts on the part of a third power, the other contracting party will not support that third power in any form.

Article 3
The Governments of the two contracting parties will in future remain in contact with each other through continuous consultation in order to inform each other concerning questions affecting their mutual interests.

Article 4
Neither of the two contracting parties will participate in any grouping of powers which is indirectly or directly aimed against the other party, and the second contracting party shall immediately withdraw from any such grouping directed towards the first.

Article 5
Should disputes or conflicts arise between the contracting parties regarding any questions of any kind whatsoever, the two parties would clear away these disputes or conflicts solely by means of friendly exchanges of views or, if necessary, by arbitration commissions, or by such means as provided for in other specific treaties.

Article 6
This treaty will remain in effect for an indefinate period of time, and shall be permanently binding on the date of its coming into effect (see Article 8), and will not be required to be re-ratified by the two contracting parties, unless this treaty should subsequently be revised; in such event refer to Article 7.

Article 7
This treaty may be revised at any time while it is in effect at the request of one of the two contracting parties, but such revision is not to alter the treaty beyond the original design, and requires the full consent of both parts of the first contracting party; furthermore such revised treaty must be ratified in accordance with Article 8 of the original treaty and is subject to agreement by both contracting parties; should revision be rejected the unrevised treaty shall remain in effect.

Article 8
This treaty will come into effect upon its ratification by both the contracting parties in full accordance with the contracting parties' respective constitutional requirements; the documents of ratification are to be exchanged via the contracting parties' embassies (see Additional Protocol 6).

ADDITIONAL PROTOCOLS
Additional Protocol 1
The document referred to commonly as "The Kraven Ultimatum" is inapplicable and void in its entirety.

Additional Protocol 2
The stipulation of Article I against "any aggressive action" includes territorial integrity; all contracting parties are to respect each others' territorial integrity, extending on land, on sea, in the air, and in space, at all times, unless other specific treaty should otherwise provide.

Additional Protocol 3
All nations party to the alliance known as "The Consortium" shall immediately cease and desist all military actions against the second contracting party; likewise, the second contracting party shall cease and desist all military actions against that alliance.

Additional Protocol 4
The second contracting party shall pay such reparations to the first contracting party as both parties shall agree is sufficient, but not so as to place such an onerous burden upon the second contracting party as to impede restoration of that nation; such reparation shall be listed in full in specific treaty or agreement, to be appended to this document.

Additional Protocol 5
The second contracting party shall, for the cause of peace, enter into the following restrictions upon its military strength, as agreed upon in negotiations:

Additional Protocol 6
In the event of absence of an embassy exchange in effect between the contracitng parties, the provision of Article 8 "the documents of ratification are to be exchanged via the contracting parties' embassies" is inapplicable and void; the documents of ratification shall instead be exchanged via means of special diplomatic envoys, or in a manner otherwise provided for in negotiations.

We reccomend that the provisions of Additional Protocol 5 be considered most carefully; if AMF and the Kraven Corporation leave Kahanistan defenceless, they should undertake to guarantee its independence.

Since the 'two parties' seem to be going smoothly towards peace, Psyker Bearzerkers, will withdrw from The Consortium immiediatly and will no long be involved in any more political dealings.
