OOC: This RP is centred around an imaginary archipellago of island based NS nations. Any nation that is island based may join in by responding in a manner to MelekTaus activities, and acting as if it were in the region. Exact locations of each island(s) in a nation's control will be dealt with as we go along. P.S This is not going through any pre-determined route, MelekTaus and any potential allies can, and might lose, or win. It's all about story. IC: The Emperor of MelekTaus awoke slowly, rising to his feet and moving over to a nearby window in his personal quaters. Looking to the rising sun, the young man, about 25, pondered to himself as he gazed over the multitude of skyscrapers of the capital in the distance.

For too long had MelekTaus, under his forebearers, ignored the cases of civil liberty, econonomic power and isolationism. No more. Now was the time for the Empire to rise again, and become a political, and military force, to contend with. Now was when they would stand up and be counted.

After a quick shower and shave, the Emperor made his way to the Imperial Offices, calling on the Imperial Crown Advisor to attend to him. A short, balding man knocked on his door a few minutes later, timidly opening it and bowing lowly. "Your Highness, did you call for me?"

"Yes, I did." the Emperor replied, pushing forward an official looking piece of paper. "This document here by mandates and authorises the mobilisation of the Main Fleet into international waters just off of MelekTaus mainland islands. The MelekTaus Nuclear Strategic Force Fleet will assign nuclear capable missiles to the flagship, "Emperor's Wrath", and to one of the three Voidvod class Battlecruiser ships, the "Majii"."

The older man bowed once again, taking the document, and counter signing it below the Emperor's own swirling, extremely complicated signature. It was lmost impossible to forge by anyone else's hand, a swirling, highly decorative writing style. "Of course, the Nuclear Codes for all of the missiles will have to be brought to my office at once from the Imperial Chief of the Maritime Forces."

"Of course, your majesty.." The Crown Advisor said, nodding and then withdrawing from the office with a low bow, the paper in his hand.

Within hours, the entirety of the North Fleet was preped and ready to sail into international waters. Their stated purpose, to monitor the activities of all other island nations around MelekTaus, and to bring a portion the nation's Nuclear Deterrant Force up into the 'front line'. Their real purpose, however, was to send shock waves into the weaker nations, and to provide a power 'barganing' chip for future 'negotiations' with the said weaker nations.

OOC: I think I understand what you said at the beginning.

IC: A red dawn, they always left Admiral Anten O'Riley in awe. The way they seemed to show the carnage that awaited in the near future. As the Admiral started his daily run with his usual Protective Service around him he wondered where it would happen and how many would be lost.

When he got to his office in the Kemnit he was greeted by Patrick O'Harn, an old shipmate from his days aboard the DHV Donegal. "Sir, are you ready for your daily breifing?" he asked his leader. "Why wouldn't I be?" retorted the aged Admiral. "Sir, just a mere hour ago naval forces from MelekTaus headed out towards international waters. We have Reason to beleive that at least one of the ships that set sail have nuclear capabilities." O'Harn informed Anten, "sir, there is a chance that Drexel Hillsville is in danger." The Admiral swore under his breath before asking, "What do you recomend we do?" "I say we should try to become allies with MelekTaus, and if that fails our best chance is to send out the Riders." Anten mumbled something inaudible to all but himself and demanded, "Get me in contact with the Emperor of MelekTaus.

The Emperor of MelekTaus reclined in his office chair as a secretary walked in. She was a fairly young looking woman, but older than she looked, bordering on 30. A ruthless business woman, she dealt with foreign communications. "Your highness, the country of Drexel Hillsville has called to speak to you."

"Put it on my phone.." he said to her. After she left, a few moments passed before the Holy Emperor's phone began to rang. Answering it, he leaned back in his chair some more. "This is the Holy Emperor of MelekTaus speaking, might one inquire on whom it is I am talking to...?"

Ten minutes later Patrick O'Harn entered the High Office of the Supreme Admiral. "Sir, the Emporer of MelekTaus is on line one." "Thank you, Patrick," replied Anten O'Riley as he pick up the phone. "This is the Holy Emperor of MelekTaus speaking, might one inquire on whom it is I am talking to...?" he heard the voice on the other end of the phone ask. "Your Holiness, this is the Supreme Admiral of Drexel Hillsville. Some of the boys from intel tell me that a good sized group of ships has recently left your ports heading for international waters. They also say that some of the ships may have nuclear capabilities and I am well aware of the fact that once in international waters your ships will also be within firing range of our shores. I know that our two nations have never had any previous military engagements but one of the things I have learned during my sixty years on this planet is that somthing that may look like an exercise my be a prelude to war. Now how can we tell the difference?"*

"I assure you, Admiral, my North Fleet is merely bringing forward the defence line of MelekTaus, to ensure any possible enemies of our nation understand we are capable of defending ourselves. And yes, we have nuclear warheads on some of our ships, but I am afraid, Admiral, I cannot say which ones.... Security reasons, of course." The Emperor smiled coyly as he spoke on the phone with this man. "But, I will give you the garantee that MelekTaus has no ambitions or plans to attack the nation of Drexel Hillsville. As is always, however, it is a matter of trust...."

"I'm not sure I completely understand your strategy your Holiness," Anten replied in a slightly puzzeled manner,"you say you are just moving forward your defensive line but in doing this you seem to be leaving your flanks vulnerable." The Admiral started looking over some of the papers that had been placed on his desk over night. One about MelekTaus caught his eye. "What if our two nations were to form an allience?" he suddenly asked the Emporer.

"As you should know, the North Fleet is not the sole fleet of the MelekTaus Maritime Force. We have a South Fleet, Auxillary Fleet, Submarine Service Fleet, the Reserve Fleet, and the Home Fleet. I assure you our flanks are safe."

Looking at some of the information about the Drexel nation, the Emperor smiled as he heard the word 'alliance'. Drexel was a strong nation as well as his own Empire, and had a good military as well. An alliance could be beneficial.

"An alliance seems a very good idea, Admiral. However, we will have to negotiate the exact terms, but a Drexel-MelekTaus alliance would be a very powerfull force in the Archipellago..."

OOC: I would like to just say we need more island/coastal nations to join so that Drexel and MelekTaus may have people to wage war against. Remember this is only for fun, and won't make you permanent slaves if you lose, or anything, so just join in and enjoy the story as it rolls on.

OOC: I totaly agree and I am trying to get some friends to join in. I suggest that you do the same, due to the fact that these friends are trying to promote RPing throughout the region.

OOC: I certainatly shall try, however almost all of my friends don't play NS, and instead RP single characters over AIM and forums... xP
