The Shadow Emperor Alfred Von Antheron was sitting upon his throne in the Imperial palace in Shadowloon. The Shadow Emperor looked up at someone in the shadowy area at the edge of his throne. The Shadow Emperor looked around and instantly noticed his normal retinue of Shadow Cloaks and Ithkul Hivemasters were not around.

The Shadow Emperor saids to the shadowy figure, " I know who you are and who you serve. I promise you, Your master will never have the throne even with my death."

The Shadowy area fires a phaser right at the Shadow Emperor. The Phaser cuts throught the energy barrier that normally would protect the Shadow Emperor. The Shadow Emperor Alfred Von Antheron gasps for breath and dies upon his throne.

Four Hours later...

The Imperial High Command was to meet about sending help to the Arch Duke Nym Kazar and his Maldoran Forces inside Neo Zeta. The Dukes and Duchess see the Mighty Shadow Emperor Alfred Von Antheron slumped on his throne with a phaser burn mark in his chest. The first question on everyones mind who is the next Shadow Emperor or Shadow Empress.

A Message was sent to the G.F.F.A.

Comrades, a horriable situation has befallen on the Grand Shadow Empire. The Shadow Emperor Alfred Von Antheron has been murdered. We have no idea who has done this and we have no successor to the throne at this time. The Funeral will be held later.

No Neo Zetan response was sent at the time do to the upriseing. However Yevon got word of it. But on a small prision moon deep in Yevon terrtory a guard walked to a cell and opened the hatch. He tossed a data pad with the information to a women who had not seen the light of day or the cold water of a bath for years. " Your Brother is dead" the guard said as he smirked

" Your time here may be about over one way or another ."

The Imperial High Command (The ruling Dukes and Duchess of the Great Houses.)

The Duke Ivan Krell the most powerful Duke present since Arch Duke Nym Kazar was waging a holy war agaisnt Neo Zeta's Government started the meeting by saying, "Who is going to replace the Shadow Emperor? He was murdered yet no one has any knowledge of how it happened?"

The Duke Kabal Sstan saids, "I suggest we call the Arch Duke back home. We need the Antarans guidance in this uncertain time. I believe we need to stay united untill a sucessor can be named. The Great House Von Antheron is going to have to pick the most worthy Baron to become there Duke or Duchess thus giveing them the throne. I doubt the Barons are going to just nomiate one. I think Civil war within that house will be inevitable unless, The Shadow Emperor Alfred Von Antheron had a relative that he did not have killed or exiled?"

The Duchess Aluria Mizar saids, "There is Maria Von Antheron, She does have Von Antheron blood in her vein thus she could ascend to the throne."

The other Dukes looked at the Duchess in complete surpise.....

After several minutes the only one to respond was the Duke of Great House Shealk.

The Duke Kain Shealk saids, "My Lady how could you suggest letting a mere human take the throne of our Divine Empire? She is of an inferior race and should not become Shadow Empress under any condition. The humans are fit only for servitude and food."

The Duchess Aluria Mizar replies in a diplomatic tone, "I believe due to the fact she is the rightful daughter of the first Emperor Akarth Von Antheron, Maria Von Antheron has every right to at least attempt to seize the throne."

The Duke of house Sstan, Kabal Sstan saids, "I have to agree, despite the fact she is an inferior being. She does have Von Antheron blood and thus in a sense has the right to claim the title Shadow Princess and thus take the title Shadow Empress. I will support allowing her the right to at least attempt to seize the throne."


The Duke Ivan Krell adds, "Very well we shall allow her to attempt to take the throne. I doubt she has what it takes to defeat a pure Deatharon noble anyway. I suggest we vote on bestowing upon her the title of Shadow Princess."


The Imperial High Command was deeply divided over the matter. The problem was the Duchess Aluria Mizar kept making valid points that could not be ignored. If they passed Maria over they would have to suffer constant infighting amongst themselves and the nobles of Great House Von Antheron. That could lead to the death of every Great House and leave the people of Deatharon in a state of chaos while having Maria at least act as a puppet figure long enough to pick a successor seemed tempting. In the end the vote was in favor of bestowing the title Shadow Princess upon the human woman Maria Von Antheron. This would be a historical moment for the Grand Shadow Empire of Deatharon not only would it be the first time a human had been given nobility since the great purge.

The Imperial High Command now needed this puppet to come and help calm the Deatharon people down. For if some one did not step in soon. The Grand Shadow Empire of Deatharon would be in Civil War.

The Great House Mizar, The most powerful house in terms of spies and assiassins sent a message to the Yevon through the Maldoran Legions base using the guidance of Imperial Decree for the Imperial High Command.

The Grand Shadow Empire Of Deatharon has use of the woman you hold captive. We would like you to return her to Imperial Space. So we may use her as a puppet untill the true successor to the throne can be decided by the Antarans and the Imperial High Command.

Yevon was busy with the war at the time and could not spare any warship. However a old Skeith Class Battleship that would be no use in the war was brought online and would carry the women.

A Guard walked into the cell and unchained her from her chains. " You are about to be transfered into Deatharon hands. Do you wish to go or not? Tho really its not up to you. Your answer will decide how your transported there however."

The "Shadow Princess" Maria Von Antheron saids, "Is it true my people have become a race of monsters that seek only to increase there own power and spread the wraith of the Antarans upon there enemies?"

The Poor woman had suffered greatly since being held captive after she had crossed swords with Nym Kazar and lost. She had no idea why her people suddenly wanted her back so soon after her brothers demise.

"Yes that is true. And Humans are seen as a sub race. One that is only good for enslavement."

The Princess asks, "Why would they want me back then? I would just be a humilation to them. The Idea of a slave that used to be part of the Imperial family! I am surpised they have not given you a command to kill me and destroy the body."

The Imperial High Command waited for the arrival of the Shadow Princess. The Shadow Cloaks and the Ithkul Hivemasters had been ordered to protect the Princess as soon as she landed.

The Guard Smirks " I am just a guard" He said as he took her to the docked Skeith Class. Once secured the ship entered hyperspace. Over five hours passed untell the ship entered the drop off point.

We are here with the package. a simple transmission said.

The Command Mothership Ravager (Note The Flagship of the Imperial Navy.) Comes out of Phase Cloak and hails the Skeith ship:

The Ravager's bridge shields lowered enough to beam a person on board...

The Skeith Class lowered its shields and beamed the package onboard and sent one last message. We hope all goses well. We must return and fight the Neo Zetan Govermant Scum With that the ship entered hyperspace heading home.

The Shadow Princess Maria Von Antheron was on board. She saw her people for the first time in years they had really changed. They were thin and had bulbous octopus like heads and claws. She could feel the massive psy power that radiated from there bodies like heat off a human body. She noticed how the cloaked ones with the staffs surrounded her along with the Ithkul Hivemasters. It was at that moment she knew her life was about to change...
