Socialist becomes Chancellor. Populists take Parliament!

NOTE: Sel Appa has gone five years further into the future. It is now the year 2012.(It used to be 2007)

Both Parliament and Chancellor elections are held every seven years.

Here are the candidates that ran for Chancellor:

Communist-Ngu Phuok Dinh
Socialist-Kristina Leno
Populist-Mark Nova
Royalist-Juvanya dar Krisip
Conservative-Alan Grant

The Populist Party recently grew in popularity and was able to send a candidate. Kristina Leno, the daughter of the last election's Socialist candidate replaced his position.

Chancellory:
Kristina Leno-30.2%
Ngu Phuok Dinh-29.9%
Mark Nova-25.7%
Juvanya dar Krisip-10.1%
Alan Grant-4.1%

According to Sel Appan Election Regulations, only the top three parties are automatically on the ballot next election. Any others must petition with 500,000 signatures. All parties earning below 5% may not participate in the next election.

Parliament(of 351 seats):
Populist-145(41.3%)
Socialist-111(31.7%)
Communist-79(22.5%)
Royalist-12(3.4%)
Conservative-4(1.1%)

Socialist Kristina Leno will be sworn in within a few weeks. As will the seats in Parliament. Leno, 22, is the youngest person to hold office under the current government.
