For a while now, the Abh Empire has had a silent religion on the planet of Neo D'Hara. The planet is under the rule of the Lord Rahl who sits on the D'Haran throne.
Under his guidance, the Sisters of the Light have maintained their service to the Creator in their constant quest to battle the Keeper and the Sisters of the Dark. Among their charges, is the training of young boys that possess the Gift. They will spend most of their lives in studies learning how to control it and to later become wizards.
Recent events that are unknown to the Emperor of the Jade Throne, a faction of the church has broken away and are now sending missionaries to other planets. They are calling their new church the Abellican Church and recently intelligence gathering has shown that they speciallize in gemstone use.
The Abh Empire has only used gemstones as gifts to allies. The new monks are now claiming them as gifts from God. For obvious reasons, they are not claiming the stash that is possesed by the Capital Lakfakalalae itself but they are reserving the rights to them elsewhere throughout the Empire. Where the religion takes root, monastaries are being set up. The gemstones posses various qualities that may prove a hinderance to the Abh military should they be needed to deal with religious zealots.
The pressence of a religion is a strange thing indeed since the Abh do not believe in a God but a religion does has its purposes.
Emperor Abriel Dusanyu stood there in his prefered military uniform. Three heads of the eight headed Goftanshu blazed on his right chest in gold. His golden tiarra with wings rested on his head in stark contrast to his long dark blue hair. His blue cape hung there at his shoulders with red ties attached to the grey front of his uniform. His boots clicked as he approached the podium. A slight shine of gold could be seen on his left side every time the hilt of his command saber was revealed when his hips moved.
There before him was an array of microphones. The broadcast was going out to the reaches of the Abh Empire. Dusanyu sighed visibly before he began. "It has been long known that the Abh Empire has not supported a single religion for the pure fact that we do not believe in a higher being. Many planets populated by humans have had many various forms of religion. So in an attempt to solidify the Empire even more, I Emperor Dusanyu the 29th Emperor of the Jade Throne, am here by declaring the Abellican Church the state church. No other religions may contest this except for the Church of the Light itself who spawned this branch. The Church of Light is content staying in it's current location and the Abh have no desire to go against the wishes of Lord Rahl and his people. Following the adopted religion will not be mandatory but it will not be contested except by the Emperor alone."
