Our Ready-To-Eat (MRE) meals are designed to sustain an individual engaged in heavy activity such as military training or during actual military operations when normal food service facilities are not available. The MRE is a totally self-contained operational ration consisting of a full meal packed in a flexible meal bag. The full bag is lightweight and fits easily into military field clothing pockets. Each meal bag contains an entree and a variety of other components as may be seen in the table of Menus. For the current production year, menus 1 - 12 are designated case A, and menus 13 - 24 are designated case B. The net weight per case is approximately 22 lbs. All MRE's are shipped in case lots only.

Twenty-four different varieties of meals can be seen in the menu table. Components are selected to complement each entrée as well as provide necessary nutrition. The components vary among menus and include Mexican and white rice, fruits, bakery items, crackers, spreads, beverages, snacks, candy, hot sauce, and chow mien noodles for the pork chow mien entrée. The fruits may be applesauce, pears, peaches, pineapple, or strawberry. The bakery items include a fudge brownie, cookies, fruit bars, a toaster pastry, and pound cake in flavors of lemon, vanilla, orange, pineapple, and chocolate mint. Each meal also contains an accessory packet. The content of one MRE meal bag provides an average of 1250 kilocalories (13 % protein, 36 % fat, and 51 % carbohydrates). It also provides 1/3 of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals determined essential by the Surgeon General of the Holy Republic of Hawdawg.

Except for the beverages, the entire meal is ready to eat. While the entree may be eaten cold when operationally necessary, it can also be heated in a variety of ways, including submersion in hot water while still sealed in its individual entree package. Since mid 1992, a flameless ration heating device has also been packed into each meal bag to heat the entree. The shelf life of the MRE is three (3) years at 80 degrees F. However, the shelf life can be extended through the use of cold storage facilities prior to distribution.

The T-n-T Bar

T-N-T Bars come packaged in a vacuum-sealed bag to prevent spoilage and ensure a long shelf life. The "filling" of the bars is a unique ribbon-like strips wrapped inside of a rice cake style pastry. The strips will come in a variety of flavors to include: Beef stroganoff, Taco surprise, Chicken Alfredo, and Salmon. Each bar contains approximately 1/3rd the required daily nutrients and caloric intake needed for an average soldier. The T-n-T Bars will be sold in mixed box lots of 100 bars to a case.

The Kabob Snack Stick

Kabob's come vacuum-sealed in individual packages to allow for individual selection of flavors within the case. Flavors include Mandarin Teriyaki, BBQ, Cajun, Habanero, and Original. Is it a meat stick, or jerky? Well the answer is a little bit of both. High in protein, this between MRE's snack is sure to be a hit with the troops, not to mention the packability of these items for things like long range patrols, sniper teams, etc. This is a must have item to supplement your MRE supply. Kabob’s are sold 100 sticks to a case.

The Go-Co Bar

Go-Co Bars provide the necessary energy boost to long range patrols, small fire teams, and Special Ops troops that simply don’t have the space to carry large amounts of food with them into combat. Each bar gives a dose of caffeine the equivalent of 2 ½ cans of Red Bull Energy Drink or 8 cups of coffee to a battle weary soldier to help him or her maintain the strains combat places on the body for extended periods. The Go-Co isn’t the best tasting thing on the market but when combined with a Juice-Brand Energy Drink, it will help a combatant replace the vital Carbohydrates lost in stressful combat scenarios. Go-Co Bars are sold 50 to the case.

Juice Brand Energy Drink

Scientists have proven that water alone does not replace the vital electrolytes lost in strenuous activity. Prolonged exposure to these situations can lead to dehydration, heat stroke and even death without proper hydration. With this in mind we developed Juice Brand Energy Drink. The Juice combines necessary electrolytes and potassium into an easily consumed 5 ounce package for total rehydration in a heat or stressful situation. When combined with a Go-Co Bar, troops consume the necessary caloric levels to sustain combat operations while skipping the need to stop and eat a time consuming MRE. Juice Brand Energy Drink is sold 200 5 ounce packets per case.

Dexedrine

For the country that doesn't care about legal or moral issues with its troops we offer Dexedrine. Dexedrine, better known as Go-Pills is the legally produced Amphetamine used to treat certain ailments. These pills, when taken, increase stamina, supress hunger, and more importantly allow for soldiers to maintain a high state of alertness over a long mission without taking a time consuming break to consume calories. Side effects do exist, but sometimes the risk is outweighed by the mission. Dexedrine is sold in 1000 unit lots per case.

The Regime of Adejaani once again turns to Hawdawg to create a new product for us, much like they once had, with the Kaboob and T-N-T Bars.

The new proposed product is simple in concept. The US Army has T-Rations, those big metal trays with frozen, prepackaged food inside that are heated up in mess halls and served to troops.

What we need is something similar, but has MRE like qualities. The proposed product (each) needs to be capable of self heating, contain a meat and a vegetable tray and enough to feed a Squad (say, eleven troops) for one serving. Eating utensils (plates, cutlery etc) do not need to be provided, though some sort of serving spoons (one for each tray) do need to be included.

MRE shelf lives and hardiness are not expected, though they have to survive for around three days "in the open" (like literally sitting in a distribution centre) and capable of being airdropped via parachute or thrown out of a helicopter at a hundred feet altitude.

The nutritional requirement is not set high. This product is only really for the morale boost out of getting a good, hot meal to front line troops out in the field once in a while.

Dear sir after much study and effort we think we have come up with a conceptual design that fits your needs. The Squad Box has many unique features that will be appreciated in the field. We have designed a box made from impact resistant resin that measures about 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 feet. The box itself has a self-sealing lid much like that of an ordinary coffee container. This lid allows for an air-tight seal, on top of this feature an added self-actuated two-stroke vacuum pump recessed into the side removes all the air inside the box insuring the integrity of the food products inside. We then looked at longevity and have introduced an entire line of dehydrated foods within the squad box. These foods have been taken through a special rapid dehydration process (patent pending) that allows for little distortion of the end product or loss of taste. This dehydration process allows for important nutrients to remain available for your soldiers upon rehydration with water. After a person removes the "seal fresh" lid from the Squad Box two soldiers can then remove it from the container and set it on any flat surface like a table top, sandbag wall, truck tailgate, etc. to begin the warming/heating process. After removing the individual seals from each entree, one merely needs to add the presupply packages of distilled water to each portion to begin the heating process. As you continue to access the Squad Box a package of specially designed chemical heaters will be included to place in the special warming bins under each entree. These warming trays are lined with reflective foils and a special heat-reflective sheetrock material to ensure the Squad Box resins do not melt from the warming process. The chemical warming sticks are activated just like a traditional light stick, simply snap them and place under the warming tray. A hot meal can be ready to eat in approximately 25-30 minutes. The final portion of this package has twelve small plates and serving spoons for each entree with individual packets of condiments available for twelve.
