The Eastern European Union. It had taken almost ten years of sweat, blood, and tears but it was fianlly a reality. It had all started in 1928 when the workers of Rumania had overthrown the boy-king Michael I of Rumania. They had established a Rumanian Republic and swiftly converted their nation's governemnt, basing their constitution on that of the United States. By 1934 the country was back on it's feet, with a reformed, all-volunteer military to protect it.

In 1935 the Rumanian Army "liberated" Hungary from the rule of it's king, Miklo Horthy in a bloody three-month war and integrated Hungary into what was now being called the Eastern European Union (EEU). In 1936 EEU diplomats put pressure on Czechoslovakia to join with the EEU for greater economic prosperity and increased military security. Influenced by pro-Union citizens, the Czechs finally voted to join in late 1937.

Today the Union is a growing economic power, with Rumania's oil and the Czechoslovakian industry. The current president is Constantin Ion Parhon. The military, although small, is well-trained and equipped with the latest weapons, including the MG34 LMG and imitations of the 98k rifle. The airforce is small, but is equipped with ME-109s, while the small navy has ten destroyers and a single cruiser, along with various smaller gunboats.
