Topic: Realignment of nations within the Empire of Xeraph
Body: Today, Alaric Tan'it, Emperor of the Empire of Xeraph, announced a "shuffling" of the subject-nations within the Xeraphian Empire.
For approximately 120 years, the Empire has consisted of the following nations: The Kingdom of Xeraph
The Borderlands of Black Shadows
The Dominion of The Grey Phoenix
The Dominion of The Grey Legions
The Community of the White-Robed Monks
The Nomadic Peoples of Vhammpyr
The Borderlands of The Black Katanas
The Kingdom of Auralinia.
The Borderlands of Dark Visions
As of today, the Grey Legions and the Black Katanas are no longer subject-nations of the Empire. Duke Avan Astran of the Legions and Lord Ghengiz of the Katanas asked for and received independance from the Emperor. They and their nations are relocating to the region of The Typhon Expanse, in the Constellation Tau Ceti. They will remain true and trusted allies of the Empire.
Dark Visions will also relocate to The Typhon Expanse. As you may recall, Dark Visions was the first nation in the Empire to be inhabited by non-human extra-terrestrials.
Vhammpyr will be recategorized to the status of Imperial Province, as will the White-Robed Monks. The Monks have fewer than 15,000 inhabitants, most of which spend their time in some 2,000 monasteries. There are approx 500 Monks abroad in various nations.
Vhammpyr has a permanent population of just 712. The Brujah, as the inhabitants are called, exist solely to serve and protect the Emperor.
The remaining subject-nations of the Grey Phoenix, Auralinia, and Black Shadows will evenly divide the two regions of the Empire.
In the region of the Zhurazi Archipelago will reside Auralinia and Black Shadows. In the region of The Mercenary Lands will reside the Grey Phoenix and Xeraph. Both Imperial Provinces will be located in the Mercenary Lands.
This gives the Empire a revised population of approx 11 billion citizens.
