The Federation of Fernstahl Unifies
Fernstahl

President Johann von Karmesin und von Schwarz went up to the stand to address the public of Fernstahl.
“For centuries, the Eisenvolk were the enemies of the Steigi. The Steigi went on to form the massive and extremely successful Holy Kingdom of Entsteig, while the Eisenvolk lived in disunified towns and city-states. But today, the Federation of Fernstahl has come into existence, the modern embodiment of the Eisenvolk. While many Eisenvolk choose not to join, they will be compelled to do so by our oneness. Our wealth and prosperity. And…our military strength.
“For countless years, Entsteig has essentially ruled many powerful cities in its imperialistic and tyrannical ambitions, not to mention a centuries-old vendetta. But now, we shake off the Steigian shackles against our oppressor! No longer shall they usurp control of our nation! But as we are building a government as of now, I will retain control of government functions until the new government is established. Today, we assert our independence and our hatred of Entsteig. Steel…flesh…and blood…blood, united as one!”
President von Karmesin und von Schwarz stepped down from the podium amid deafening cheering, saluted, and was accompanied away by his aides.

King Hedrik II looked at the camera. He straightened his tie and took a quick drink of water. The cameraman signaled that he was on air, and the Steigian monarch began his speech.
He began, “Entsteig has never ruled over any city belonging to the Eisenvolk. No, this is a myth fabricated by President von Karmesin und von Schwarz…the dictator of Fernstahl. Though some people with Steigian blood may have been leaders of some of those states, they were not vassals of the state of Entsteig in any manner. No, these warmongers deign to conquer all that they see.
“It is indeed true that Entsteig has had a significant influence upon the city-states, but there is absolutely no truth in von Karmesin und von Schwarz’s claim that Entsteig has usurped the government of Fernstahl. Entsteig will fortify its borders to prevent any possible attack from Fernstahl. Your lies shall not sway the nations of the world.”
King Hedrik II bowed, and the camera cut off from there. He sighed.
“Is…something wrong, sir?” asked a crewman.
“No,” replied the king. “However…this may be the spark for the revival of the Anti-Entsteig league.”

"Oh, dear."
"What is it, sir?" asked one of Vasil D'Anglas' personal aides.
"It appears that Fernstahl, a nation held under Entsteig, has decided to declare it's independence." said Vasil, leaning back in his seat.
"What's so bad about that? There is nothing wrong with wanting some freedom."
"Yes, but the manner in which they are declaring it may provoke hostilities. Actually it will provoke hostilities!"
His aide suddenly realized the implications that war would have on the Rogue Alliance. "Sir, this may bring back the Anti-Entsteig League!"
"Please, don't remind me." sighed D'Anglas. "That is a terrible stain upon our region that we have tried to erase."
"But sir, what about the Trade Alliance? Together, both our regions can now adequately support Fernstahl on an even footing with Entsteig."
Vasil stood up and started pacing around his office.
"Yes, it may work. Although I want to be assured of outside support. We cannot do this alone! Send a transmission to the leader of the Trade Alliance, asking for aid."
"Yes, sir!" said the aide, as he scrambled off to do his superiors bidding.
"The Anti-Entsteig League...."

Greetings, President von Karmesin und von Schwarz! I am Vasil D'Anglas, leader of the Rogue Alliance. We have heard of your recent break from Entsteig, and applaud your efforts. We will try to offer all the aid that we can to bolster your defence for the inevitable counter-strike. We must avoid war until we are prepared for it.
Best of luck,
Vasil D'Anglas

King Hedrik II,
I'm sure there is no need for introductions, as we are well aquinted by this point. I, as you, wish to avoid war. This can be dealt with peacefully and diplomatically. You can rest assured that the Rogue Alliance will not make a military advance on any of your holdings. If I may suggest, we should hold a conference of sorts to discuss the matters of Fernstahl's independence and the possible impact it may have on "past events".

Esteemed Ambassador D’Anglas,
You seem to misunderstand our actions. We…well, we couldn’t care less whether the Federation of Fernstahl declared its independence or not. We have never asserted control over Fernstahl. However…we greatly fear Fernstahl’s aggressive nature and its imperialistic ambitions. Entsteig also fears Trade Alliance’s possible involvement to further its own purposes economically. You may find a time for a conference regarding this.
King Hedrik II

With all due apologies, King Hedrik II,
It appears that we misinterperated your fortification of your borders as a mobiliztion to war. Even if Fernstahl is an aggressive nation, I do not believe you need to fear their military. I can see where you may be concerned with the Trade Alliance, however. Only time will tell...
Sincerest apologies,
Vasil D'Anglas

Official Directive from The United Capitalist Republic of Jaghur
To the nations of Entsteig, Karchozia, and Fernstahl:
The nation of Jaghur will not become involved in any warfare unless a direct attack is made on our borders or our allies in Rogue Alliance. However, if one or both of the previous two things occur, we will be forced to act. As of now, the armies of the colonies of Varyl, Hiearche, and Ioniar are being augmented into ours, in case of an attack. If there is war, it is to be clear that in the event of warfare, no nation will deliberately attack civilians or civilian targets
As for a diplomatic conference, the Jaghurian Senate will discuss it, although the members will most likely vote against it, due to past events. If, however, the nations of Karchozia and Entsteig draw up a diplomatic resolution, we will abide by its terms as we see fit. If any nation forces something upon us, we will take military action.
Sincerely,
Robert Kruger
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Andrew Thurston
Minister of Defense
Joseph Greyson
Jaghurian Army
Commander-in-Chief
John W. Ralanson
Prime Jaghuran
Aloria, Jaghur
OOC: Jaghur is bordered to the South by an impassable mountain range with the rest by the ocean, so a land attack is impossible without first having an aerial drop or sea invasion. All cities on the coast are defended and have ports. The navy patrols the 50 nm line. Any unknown ship will be considered hostile until proven to be an ally or a neutral party.
BTW, what the hell is the Eisenvolk?
