The Department of Defense is pleased to announce that it's recent announcement of increasing it's size was not just a bluff. The DOD not only met, but succeeded the amount originally announced of 750,000 expected soldiers.
1.760 Million women are currently serving active duty in THL's armed forces, and though the DOD was reluctant to state how many they have in reserve, they did state "Several hundred thousand more."
President Roderica commented on how she was pleased that so many women felt the need to serve and protect their country. The DOD also would like to state that it's army is not mere conscripts, either. They are fully professional soldiers with excellent training and armed with nothing but the most recent and up-to-date technology.
And along with great size, the Armed Forces have awesome projection ability, being able to transport it's troops across massive distances with both a powerful air force and military.
It remains to be seen if this military will ever fight a war, but Generals are optimistic about THL's chances of winning if it does.
