lets not resort to puppet wanking people

I won't accept it if you use puppets but I will if you just RP as Hogsweat (though I don't know why you would want to keep playing the same old nation also being little rocks mainly because you can conquer noobs and reject it when big nations try to take you on! :p)

I'm not exactly puppet wanking...I don't even have a puppet this size to backup this population claim. I'm going on the goodwill of other RPers and the credit to my name on this forum.

While anytime I'll meet you in RPing, I'll accord to those stats (4.489 bil and so forth), it could be more interesting to restart it over, but hey, to each his own. I guess the respect you've earn would be one of the reasons why you will keep going, mostly as being Hogsweat, not as something else.

Hog - I've rp'ed with you, and respect you as a player - and, in that spirit, I ask that you reconsider combining populations to make up for your loss.

When Drum Gods was deleted (28 day log-in deet) he came back and never accepted that he had a smaller population - he tried to RP with an estimation of what he should have had - but was never accepted, and eventually left the game again.

I suggest that you use this new situation to open new RP doors - you still have many allies - and have an opportunity to RP with nations that never would have engaged you with your massive pop.

Short of that - might I suggest you find a generous soul who'll donate a puppet to you.

If it meant that you'd stay in the game and would not attempt to modify population numbers - I might be willing to give you a 5 billion nation.

The thing about Drum Gods, was that he could have revived his nation. In this case, there is no revive. I did try to open new RPs, I even started a new nation with a new name. When I started RPing with Hogsweat in november I hated the name and would do anything to change it - now I love it. I like the nation I played with for so long and I liked what I built up around it, especially the way I could model society. This is fairly impossible with a nation as small as "Hogsweatia."

While I don't blame Hogsweat for attempting to regain lost glory...I couldn't stand for what I'm sure is the thin edge of the knife - the slippery slope if you will - of population "adjustments" to allow for deletions and the like.

As serious players we must always uphold the highest of principles - because in a free-form RP environment, those principles of fair play are all we have.

I've donated a five-billion pop nation to ensure Hogsweat and my principles stay intact.

I encourage all serious players to ensure that next time this issue comes up - they do what they can to ensure the integrity of the game is maintained.

Yeah, you might say it's a safeguard against having too many noob superpowers, but that wouldn't include Hogsweat. I'm just curious, why do you guys have such a big deal with population numbers? A lot of the best RP writers I've seen are newbies, like Joint Conglomerates to name one.

It's about accepting the consequences of your actions and about playing fairly in a free form RP environment. I've seen players (notably Whittier and Kahta) who have tried to foist their pre-DEAT populations on players when they clearly violated rules and I refuse to stand for that.

I'll grant that there are circumstances that are different here (notably, controversy over whether or not Hogsweat's DEAT was necessarily fair by the spirit of the rules rather than the letter of the law; Hog also didn't Godmode or wank to the extent that either Whittier or Kahta did; and, more importantly, the fact that Hogsweat asked other players rather than just decide to do something on his own. However, I would be hypocritical if I looked the other way at Hogsweat playing a 4.something billion country when Hogsweatia's pop was somewhere in the 300 million range, even though other conditions weren't present.
