{OOC: This takes place after the Generalissimo's meetings with Count JWolf and the Sultan of Ottoman Khaif}
The Generalissimo awakened bright and early, as always, at 4:00 A.M., on the dot. He never woke up a minute earlier, nor a minute later. He was known as very robust and energetic leader, packed with energy and raring to go by 4:30, and in his office by 4:45 A.M., from where he governed the nation with a gentle heart and an iron fist until 9:00 P.M., sometimes later. He took only a few breaks per day (each less than 20 minutes), and had never once taken a vacation during his rule, although on rare occasions he did take the weekends off, and holidays.
While he enjoyed being the benevolent dictator of one of the world's wealthier nations, it was grueling work, and, behind his cheerful facade he masked a hidden sadness. He was often so busy working, or meeting with another leader abroad, or overseeing one damned thing or another, that sometimes he seldom had time for his own family. His wife and children said they understood, and he believed them, but still...he could not help but feel guilty. Why did he always have to make difficult decisions like this? If, having to choose between his family or his job, without hesitation he would choose his family. Yet, it was his duty- nay, his destiny- to preside over Roach-Busters, a duty he had to his people, and being a man of honor (at least, in his mind) he never shied away from his duties, if he could avoid it.
Since the death of his first wife, Eva Lui, all those years ago, he had become extremely overprotective of his second wife, Thiensiri, almost to the point of paranoia. His marriage with Eva had been a short one. Less than two months after saying "I do," she tragically died of a previously undiagnosed, rapidly progressing cancer. That event was the saddest day of his life, and on many occasions he came quite close to committing suicide. Had it not been for Thiensiri, undoubtedly the Generalissimo would not be alive today. He thought he would never love again- didn't want to love again, didn't want to go through that kind of pain again- but meeting Thiensiri turned his world upside down. They began tentatively dating, and before they knew it, it blossomed into a serious relationship. They grew ever closer, and, although the Generalissimo deeply missed (and would always love) Eva, he could not hide the truth from himself: he loved Thiensiri, with all his heart and soul. Finally overcoming his fear of another loss, he proposed to Thiensiri, and to his astonishment and delight, she eagerly accepted. They remained happily married for many years. They had three children (four, if you included the adopted Rinoa), and were a happy, loving family. J.L. harbored fond fantasies of growing old with Thiensiri, of raising loving, adoring grandchildren. Sadly, these dreams were to be abruptly shattered.
After waking up, the Generalissimo turned and saw Thiensiri, motionless, silent. At first, he shrugged it off, believing she was simply in a deep sleep. He showered, made coffee, poured a cup of juice, and enjoyed a bountiful breakfast. Only after 5:00 A.M. did he begin to seriously worry. She seldom woke up later than 4:45 A.M.; the absolute latest she had ever awakened was 4:57 A.M. Concerned, he returned to the bedroom. His concern quickly changed to terror, then to sorrow, then to agony. Incredulously, unbelievingly, he cradled her lifeless body in his arms, as tears welled up in his eyes. He hung his head low in shame.
Why, God, WHY!? he screamed, inside his head, as his body was wracked by sobs. My fault...ALL my fault. I should have known earlier...damn fool, I should have...should have...
He was cut off in mid-thought as his brain, overwhelmed to the point of incapacity with grief, temporarily ceased functioning. He let out a shrill, primeval scream of agony, and collapsed onto the bed, crying.

"Hello, everyone, this is Walter Krankheit, of RBNNN, the most trusted name in government-approved news. Today, a tragedy of immeasurable magnitude afflicted our nation, a tragedy of epic proportions. Today, First Lady Thiensiri Theveenugul-Latimer died of undisclosed causes, sometime between 4:00 and 5:00 A.M. She was 48 years old. The Generalissimo has declared a state of mourning, and all flags nation-wide are to be flown at half-mast. The Generalissimo has been admitted to a hospital, due to suicidal tendencies, and it is unknown when and if he will resume his duties as head of state and government of our nation. In the meantime, his son, Tacho, has temporarily assumed power. This is undoubtedly the saddest day in our nation's history. Let us observe a moment of silence, reflect upon the life of this extraordinary woman, and pray for her family."
