*the President and Secreatary of State arrive in the Xirnium Embassy. The Secreatry of State, K. who escorted the Ambassador to his Embassy and installed him and his staff there, speaks*
Ambassador, good to see you again. This si the President of Stoddenia, known to the world as Docus. He has come to meet with you. I will be sitting in on the meeting as well. Shall we proceed?
'It is a complete honour to finally meet with you, Mr Secretary of State K, Mr President Docus,' said the ambassador (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a25/Dennis134/GrandCardinal.jpg) bowing slightly to each in turn and speaking in a smooth voice, the voice of an experience career politician.
'The High Ecclesiarchy is most pleased to have finally met you at last,' the Venerable Archdeacon Vrath continued. 'Let's get right down to business then, as you suggested. My nation wishes for two things involving your noble country. The first is some manner of alliance, involving military cooperation, trade or joint research and development. The second issue.. involves Amestria.'
'Let's start with the more delicate of the issues here, the latter. The High Ecclesiarchy understands that you are having some.. how should we put this, "difficulties" with Amestria. We wish to know more about your intentions and opinions regarding them.'
The Archdeacon finished talking and surveyed the men silently yet intently, not looking away even as one of his aids brought in some steaming hot coffee for the meeting.

Arch Deacon. Yes, well, it would seem that the claims of Amestria are somewhat based in reality. We did in fact promote homegrown insurrection against their occupying forces, and when the sattalites were shut down, we did break into their communications and re broadcast our message to their televisions. As for it being terrorist acts, I suppose that depends entirely on what one calls a terrorist act. I don't believe that in an occupied zone the occupiers have a monopoly on propaganda. Unfortunately, most occupiers would not agree with me.
Our intentions with regards to Amestria are to be rather stand offish about them. They are part of the occupying force. We have no real interest in Torontia, except to stem the flow of immigrants coming to our nation from there. Naturally, we are interested in seeing homegrown democracy, egalitarianism and so forth, and will support homegrown insurgencies. But I suspect that the events in Torontia are foreign inspired, so I cannot imagine a committment from our forces into Torontia. We have people there performing an illegal fact finding mission right now, we expect their report very soon. Amestria doesn't feel that anyone else belongs in that area, and they want their own way about things. I do not understand how that equals socialism, but, who knows. Saint Fedski, on the other hand, is not on good terms with us and seek to shoot down our helicopters. Neither of those two imperialists want any outside interferance with their little game, and even something so peaceful as a fact finding mission, with absolutely no military targets whatsoever, is seen as a big threat to them.
We have recieved tacit support from our associates, Yallak, who has provided our group some logistical support. Other than that, we are pretty much on our own. We have established some embassies, and we are on the verge of war with yet another country. We have been in existance for less than a month and already people see us as a target to advance their regime. Our country has been threatened several times now, and our militia is on alert. That's all I can really say about that...
The Archdeacon waved his hand dismissively, 'Yes, yes, of course Mr President, it's of no concern of us whether or not you incite dissent in Torontia. As you know Torontia made war against Xirnium illegally and caused many innocent deaths, but we have no vital interests there at the moment and thus no opinion on terrorism which occurs there. I will say, though, that we abhor terrorism and feel only the deepest sympathy for the poor Torontians living in a constant warzone, but certainly aren’t about to get involved in a conflict half way across the world for someone else. Holy Xirnium’s citizens must come first.
Amestria, however, has proven bothersome to the High Ecclesiarchy in the past. They have attempting to subvert our sovereignty by not allowing us to try Torontia's warcriminals during the Xirnium-Kraven War (which we did anyway, thanks to Saint Fedski), so if they should get a bloody nose in Torontia all the better as far as I am concerned (though I must point out the rest of the High Ecclesiarchy doesn't share my view). We would normally feel abhorred at terrorism occurring against a state, but Amestria has constantly attempted to undermine Holy Xirnium. Trying our Chief Prosecutor in absentia for "warcrimes" indeed..' the Archdeacon laughed in disgust.
'What does concern us, however, is..'
At that moment and aid hurried in and interrupted the meeting, whispering quickly into the Archdeacon's ear. The Archdeacon frowned a little, and turned back to the Stoddenian politicians.
'I've received some rather disturbing news regarding Xirnium and your nation, Mr President. I hope you don't mind if I allow my chief intelligence officer, Lord Inquisitor Frath to join us.'
The grim Inquisitor entered the room quietly, cloaked, his face hidden in the inky dark shadows of the room. The Stoddenian politicans felt the faintest sense of unease at the entrance of this man, of dread almost. The Inquisitor regarded the Stoddenian men intently. However, what the Stoddenians would not be able to realise is that the Inquisitor was scrutinising them more precisely and in greater depth then any ordinary person could. Using the profound mental skills that he had acquired in the Academy of the Grand Synod of the Holy Inquisition, Lord Frath’s extreme perception noticed the men's heart rates, perspiration, voice frequencies and breathing rates. Computing the wealth of data that he collected in his mind, he would examine the minutiae of their responses. Any dishonesty, and the Inquisitor would uncover it.
'You see my dear President Docus, a nation has recently made claims that your government views us with hostile intentions for having a small presence in Toronita. They also claim you wish to support terrorists against Holy Xirnium. Should this be a lie, our retribution will be most fearsome. Tell me, Mr President, is there any truth, any at all, to their allegations?'
[OCC: Basically, I want to cut through all the IC crap and find the truth. Whatever it is, Xirnium would find it, by examining the documents and prisoners (that were handed over to it by Kravania) by Inquisitors, who are capable of amazing mental feats of perception and logical deduction, by conducting investigations in Torontia itself by the Inquisitors who are present there, and by examining the automatic responses of your politicans to my question.]

OOC: Sorry about this, I forgot to RP Docus' leaving to go to the conference concerning a "peacable solution" He has already delivered a message from the streets. So I will let you know that he has already left... Too many threads to keep up on... for real...
IC:*K. looks at that the Archdeacon and the Grand Inquisitor, and then smiles.* If you gentlemen will follow me to the window here, I will show you your answer. *He gets up and walks over to the window. The two Xirnium diplomats follow him* I would like you to look out this window. Below me, you see the city of Stoddenia. Very peaceful, yes? But in each and every one of these buildings, there is a hornet's nest waiting to be batted. You cannot see them now, but there are millions of workers here in our Capital City and across the entire country waiting for the word to form defensive perimeters around their wrk places, schools, and neighborhoods. They are all armed with recently acquired Kalashnikovs we recieved a few days ago, and they are all prepared to fire them and create a hail of bullets that will shred any unarmored thing. You have nothing to fear here.
*He then turns to the Grand Inquisitor, looks him straight in what the Sec'y feels are his eyes (but he can't be sure) and says, completely seriously* There is no threat to Stoddenia-Xirnium relations. Not now, not ever. Everything Kravania has said about us so far has been an absolute lie, and it is rather shocking that you would even entertain such nonsense, who professes to be able to see the truth in the statements of all. We do not and have never supported terrorists. We do not have any desire to make war on any nation. You MUST understand this to be true if these discussions are to continue between our two nations. It is not at all customary for one nation, who is in the process of discussing an alliance, to be accused like this. But... as we are interested in your friendship, we will entertain your vulgar implication, and continue if you like. Or not. If you feel that we are not being one hundred percent honest with you, you are free to pack up your bags and get on the first commuter bus back to the port and get the HELL out of this country.
And if this is your plan, please stop by the port and pick up the 14 Amestrian spies and 1 Saint Fedski individual that we caught snooping around in our nation and restore them to their homes. We are no longer interested in feeding them while their countries debate our nation's fate. They are not welcomed in this nation and will soon starve to death if they are not taken away. *K. not waiting for a response from Xirnium, sits back down, slightly miffed at the afrontery of the implications that he or his government would be dealing in bad faith, and totally showing his youthful impatience with world affairs...*
The Lord Inquisitor inclined his head at the Secretary of State K, a slight bow of sorts. ‘Mr Secretary, the Inquisition has entertained no such thoughts, we are simply seeking to understand all the myriad of forces involved in this situation,' he said in the guarded tone which was typical of all Inquisitors. 'Forces which, it seems obvious now, have some kind of malicious intentions towards Holy Xirnium. We don’t doubt that they wish a major incident to develop between Xirnium and your noble nation, but we aren’t fools nor pawns. Their attempts will fail, and be met with righteous fury,’ said Lord Frath gravely.
As the Secretary of State had spoken he had examined in extremely close detail the unintentional and unpreventable responses that all people produce during speech, his changes in heart rate, respiration, voice tremor. The Inquisitor was a master at his work, and had always managed to decipher the truth behind the words of expertly trained spies during his thirty years long service to the Inquisition, nothing could be hidden from him.
K obviously did not have the skill at hiding his feelings or opinions that a trained spy would. Even for a politician his skills at masking his intentions were poor, and he wore his emotions proudly on his sleave, no doubt a product of the man's idealism and lack of experience in politics the Lord Inquisitor observed. The Secretary of State’s aims were laid bare to the Inquisitor, much like an open book that one could read, and he had determined his word to be completely solemn. There was no threat to Xirnium from Stoddenia, as the High Ecclesiarchy and the Inquisiton had always suspected.
Immediately the feeling of slight unease that the Secretary of State had felt on the entry to the room of the Inquisitor passed.
The Archdeacon sat back down. ‘Now, Mr Secretary of State, we have much to discuss, threats which concern both you and the Holy Empire..’

*K. soon recovered his composure and restarted the talks.* ArchDeacon. I have yet to be apprised of this conspiracy by some nation to promote bad feelings between the two of us... What is going on that we do not know about? Look, we need all the information here, if we re to help one another in anyway. Who is trying to use you as a pawn?
The Archdeacon’s eyes narrowed skeptically as he examined the Secretary of State. Why has this man not been fully briefed on the situation?
‘The same nation that wants to incite the international community to invade your nation for suposedly selling WMD to terrorists, Mr K,’ said the Venerable Archdeacon Vrath patiently, as he slid a large dossier (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9939545&postcount=91) across the mahogany table.
‘This is the “evidence” that we were sent by Kravania, which claims that you are attempting to perpetrate acts of violence against Holy Xirnium, that you have links with known terrorist groups, and that you sell said groups WMD. Now, we don't fully know why they would want to provoke war involving Xirnium, but you can be sure we will find out. We can't rule out that Kraven Corporation may have a hand in it. Attempting to cause strife between other nations is just as bad as carrying out the act of war yourself, and we take it very seriously indeed.’

*an advisor burst walked into the Room.* Mr. Secretary, there is an urgent call from Cmdt. Gevaria. *The phone is handed to K. whose face immediately turns ashen... he listens for a moment and then says "OK"... he hands the phone back to the advisor, who turns around and leaves* Gentlemen, I am afraid we will have to continue this discussion at a later date. It would seem that Amestria has declared our nation a terrorism supporting nation, and declared open season on our politicians, and then shortly after that, the President of our nation was assassinated. We are not sure of the details or even if he survived the attempt, but apparently, he was not moving the last time anyone saw him, so we can only hope for the best. The Commandante will make a statement very soon, and then I fear something horrible may happen. I need to leave now to consult with him about our course of action. If you all would like to come along with me to our main government offices, we would be happy to listen to any input you would have. As for me, though, I must go... *K. rises and begins heading for the door of the conference room*
