[RE: NEW SDV]
Noting closely the failures of the Warspite class in action off Chukraine against Scandavian forces, the Hogsweatian High Admiralty, now relocated to the Crown Colony of Singapore, decided to lay down two new fresh designs that could be completed soon enough to fight in the war. This new class would be able to fight on it's own with a battlegroup reduced in escorts up to 30%. There has been conflict in the Research and Development Area of the Admiralty on the size of these vessels, and while nothing has been confirmed, several figures have been set for boundaries.

FORMIDABLE SDV: 1250m - 1500m
DREADNOUGHT SDV: 1300m- 1700m

Both vessels will be trimaran and both will carry a full complement of 30" guns, this has been decided and confirmed. Another thing that has been confirmed is that both will carry an airwing of over 90 combat planes - more than that of a Nimitz CVN.

No figures for a number of these ships being built has yet been set but we are counting on Singapore Shipwrighting Industries [SSI] and East India Conglomerate Shipbuilding Industries [EACSI] to produce at least two of each vessel. Names set are SDV-999 Dreadnought, SDV-998 Defiance, SDV-662 Formidable, SDV-665 Furious. We do not have any further plans as of yet, although a basic hull form has been laid down and we are investigating possibilities of it's construction. I will reply as soon as we have more information.

[RE: NEW SDV]
We have finalised the hull forms and statistics for the Formidable and the Dreadnought, and here they are:

Formidable:
Length: 1340m
Beam: 203m (including extra hulls)
Draught: 33m
Tonnage: 1,999,120 Tons

Dreadnought
Length: 1655m
Beam:235m (including extra hulls)
Draught: 35m
Tonnage: 2,350,000 Tons

As stated, these hull forms have been laid down and finalised. [EACSI] have turned down our offer to build the Formidable and the Furious, so instead we have turned to Kota Kinabalu Capital Shipyards [KKCSY], who gladly accepted, to build these two classes. [SSI] has affirmed a contract for Dreadnought and Defiance. When the hulls have been laid down we may even place another contract for Freedom and Daring, although this will require another 1.4 tn in funding from the Admiralty.

As with weaponry, we have set the Formidable to four quad 30" turrets and the Dreadnought with five quad 30". We are sure this firepower will achieve the greater range and firepower you wished for. The Formidable so far has a prow based flightdeck and the Dreadnought uses it's trimaran hulls ala Doujin. No missiles or dual purpose guns have been added yet but we are in the process of deciding nuclear torpedo armament.

In addition we have a complement of 6,650 due to automation. Hopefully we this will allow greater crew furnishings and cabins with four sailors maximum.

ooc: It might just be me, but the Doujin was under 1000m and still hed 20x 30inch guns.

I can imagine at least 24x 30 in. guns on the smaller one and 30x30 in. on the big one.

I know, I just realised I can fit 7 turrets on. The for'ard aircraft strip on the Formidable is over 500m, so that restricts it's turrets. I still want sizable missile space though.
